goodwin disable slide to unlock - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus ROM Development

hi
just found a great app called goodwin. its a very nice app launcher... however i camt manage to disable the built in slide to unlock, so is there another guy using it here? is there a way to disable it?

i use it too, I don't know if there's a way to disable it.
don't you find it useful?

well, yea i do, but i like S2U2 much better, and it always returns to launcher even if i just ran another program

I think the only way to know if there's a disable is to ask the makers of goodwin i think it's vito technology

unlock goodwin
its urgent...
does anyone know how to disable lock of goodwin.

Removing stock screenlock - device rooted

Hey guys,
New to the android world n I'm trying to get the hang of it so pls bear with me and my silly questions. Hopefully some of you may be able to help me with this question.
So as the title goes, I'm trying to remove the stock lockscreen slider since it seems to be kind of inaccurate everytime I slide to unlock. Sometimes it hits immediately but most if the time requires 2 tries.
I wish to replace it with something better but I don't know yet where to get the apk for it.
The phones rooted already and I am using sdx stock app remover. I am trying to figure out which apk I need to remove to disable the lockscreen. Does anybody know the name of the necessary apk file?
On top of that can I replace the deleted apk with a custom lockscreen? If possible, where can I find good ones.
I hope someone will be kind enough to help me. I really don't like the slider bar on the motoblur.
Thanks,
Aqua

I wouldn't mess with it until we get an sbf, but until then you can get a lock screen replacement from the market, there's lots of them like GOTO Lockscreen, Lock 2.0, FlyScreen, Widget Locker Lockscreen and many more Hope this helps
Cool! Thnx man. That helps a lot. I've been looking for an app to do so but never could find a good answer. I won't play around with the core files till things are clear. Thnx again.

Btw, wat is sbf?

Easy from home screen. Setting>Location & Security>Setup Lockscreen>None

Ehmm yea but that disables the security feature like the pin or pattern or Biometrics. What I want to disable is the screen lock slider.

get 'no lock' from the market
I'm with you on this, I would like to get rid of the stock slider and still keep my pin/pattern lock. I use widget locker so of course I have redundant screen locks whenever the security lock kicks in. 'no lock' on the market removes the security lock as well.

In my search for no lock, I ran across a few apps on the market that did this as well. Don't remember which ones, but if you search on 'no lock' a few of the apps that come up do exactly what you're looking for - you just have to put in the time and go through them...
The stock motorola slider and the PIN/Password security are all the same screen and cannot be interacted with separately in any standard manner. I'm looking into alternative ways of doing this, but they're very complicated even with root. Pattern is less strictly tied to slider, and already works better in 2.0 with WL 2.0.1 improving it more, but motorolas slider in front of the pattern is very difficult to deal with too.
Me personally I love using my fingerprint locker instead of the slider, it's quicker and more efficient. Just a quick heads up
I'd love using it too if it doesn't keep missing my fingerprint. Sometimes it could take up to 3 or 4 times to unlock. Don't know why.
So Im now using widget locker. Awesome app.

[Q] Disable slide unlock and use pattern only

@@Before flaming, please, I'm the kind of user who uses the search bar to reasearch my concerns before I [email protected]@
I spent some time trying to find how to disable the slide unlockscreen, and just leave the pattern unlockscreen, not both, since is really annoying that in order to have any kind of unlockscreen more secure to protect the phone and your privacy, you need first to slide unlock it and then use any other unlock, in my case I'd like the pattern unlock. Sorry for the long story. I couldn't find any asnwer to this matter, and in my research I only found really old threats talking about this and none of them getting to an answer. Is there any way of doing this by now?
Thanks for your help.
No one knows about this...? ?.? :S
It is realy anoying and I am trying to found some solutions or workarounds but without much of a success...
Please pm me if you have found something other than No lock and mylock and screenmod widget and keyguard disabler.

[Q]Can I use smart tag to enable/disable pattern lock?

Like I said, I'm considering to buy a smart tag to enable/disable pattern lock. I want to enable this lock only when I go outside. If the smart tag isn't able to do this, Is there any app that can do ?
Thank in advance
Hi ...
I had the same problem but in order to use he smarttags to lock/unlock the divce, I use "Unlock with wifi FREE" .. It works perfectly and I can manage to disable the lock when I'm at home or at work, as far as there is a wifi network ...
Hope I can help ...
Have no experience with this, but I think you can. The above post about wifi might work, but a cleaner fix could be to do this:
Get an app like no lock(I think its called)
Use NFC tasker to trigger it and then terminate it.
Thank a lot guys, I think I got an idea now.

[Q] Slide to unlock - missing

Hi. When I received the phone, out of the box security was not enabled and I was able to unlock the screen only by sliding the pad lock UP on the lock screen.
This worked well for me as I could read all notifications while locked, without unlocking the phone.
I then tried out the other security methods including Pattern. Didn't like it and wanted to go back to slide to unlock.
Under Security there is not a Slide to Unlock option.
Now, if I leave it as No Security, anything unlocks the screen, even a tap.
How do I get the original pad lock Slide to Unlock feature back?
A hard reset?
Sorry if this has been answered before, I did a quick search and didn't find a thread.
Thanks.
Set it to wallpaper lockscreen. Personally I use productivity so my messages go on lockscreen
Btw option is under settings / personalization / lockscreen type

Same Issue
Hello I am currently having the same issue with my lock screen. I hadn't even realized that switching the lock screen type was the reason, but it makes sense. Did you find a way to fix it? The above poster's method did not work for me.
Thanks for putting this problem in words!
So it looks like this is an issue that happens whenever you have an accessibility setting enabled as described here. This goes for any accessibility settings... Can someone confirm if this still happens with other Sense ROMs or if this only happens with stock?

Can't seem to find a fix for it though, hopefully with 4.2.2
Hi guys! Made a fix for this issue please refer to this thread.

Please report if it doesn't work.

Skipping the Notification Bell (without root)

I posted this on the ZTE Community forums, and thought I'd add it here as well.
The notification bell on the lockscreen is a major annoyance for many of us. I was looking for some other way to manage this, but lockscreen widget apps don't work, and most lockscreen apps don't support the fingerprint reader, Smart Lock, or double tap to wake. After reading a lot of reviews, I'm cautiously optimistic about Next Lock Screen, an Android app by Microsoft, of all things! This app sort of runs "on top" of/with your built in lockscreen. It shows the notifications, right there, no bell, and it still works with the fingerprint reader and the double tap to wake feature on my ZTE Axon 7. It claims to still work with Smart Lock, but I haven't been able to try that yet.
Google Play Store Link: Next Lock Screen - Android Apps on Google Play
In the Next Lock Screen settings, set the "Screen Lock" option to "System" to keep your double tap to wake, fingerprint, PIN, etc. just as you already have them. If you do this, you will still get a glimpse of your old ZTE lockscreen now and then, when you try to go into the Next Lock Screen settings, and it shows you the ZTE screen and makes you fingerprint scan before changing settings.
The Next Lock Screen is not quite as fast as the ZTE Lockscreen, so you glimpse it briefly before your homescreen, when the device unlocks.
I like the app that you suggest, but is there a way to keep showing ZTE wallpapers? ZTEs setup keeps changing wallpapers everytime the screen wakes up. I kinda like the feature. I know the Next Lock Screen app has a similar feature with Bing wallpapers, but that is only once per day.
I've been using Next for the past week to get around the bell and it works quite well - especially with the fingerprint sensor. Very surprised that it took MS to make a very useful and intuitive lockscreen for Android. Of course, I'd rather have pure Android instead of an app work around.
That bell is truly a feature that i dont understand. So, si annoying and stupid.
Thanks for this but I'm gonna try the root way first
There's a way to remove it with root?

Basically any 3rd party lockscreen, like Next, AcDisplay, Ambient display, etc, will disable the stock lockscreen when the 3rd party app takes control. It's a work-around. People probably want some kind of interaction from the lockscreen anyway, and this is a way to get rid of the stupid bell and get that interactive display at the same time.
Edit: I missed the post before yours. I do hope that someone creates an option in settings on a future ROM to disable it directly though. After root and bootloader unlock of course.

or just shout about it loud enough at ZTEs, so that they will make it an optional feature in coming updates... there is a bunch of optimal features they should integrate:
- optional bell on lockscreen
- optional on-screen buttons (as chinese 6gb versions have already)
- optional black/dark theme (specially with that amoled display)
... will tell more when I got the phone :silly:
I kind of defeated the bell using Tasker to simulate a touch right where the bell is. Unfortunately it simulates a touch even when I use the finger print. Not really sure which is more annoying, the bell or having a touch in the upper left every time the screen comes on. That's how ****ing annoying this bell is.

How's that a root workaround? The method you described can be used without root as well and the problem with it is that it doesn't support the fingerprint scanner.
Does anyone have a stock android lockscreen app so I can install is as a system app and delete ZTE one? Thanks

Are you able to use fingerprint with NEXT and the stock lockscreen disabled? For some reason the only way I can use fingerprint is if I have both lockscreens enabled at the same time.

No, only with both on. It's slightly annoying, but less annoying than the bell.

Yes I agree!:good:
Can someone please make an xposed mode or something similar for those who have root and would like to keep the stock lock screen? I imagine it's not that difficult of a task, but I have little to no skills when it comes to coding so can't make anything like that ? Thank you

Sadly, I think you're limited to setting one wallpaper or using the Bing wallpapers.

Still, that was rather clever of you. :good:
I figured out how to have the bell auto open with Tasker. I uploaded the two profiles that are needed to do this. Probably not the most elegant Tasker work but meh it works. This works by simulating a touch where the bell is when you are on the lock screen but not when you use finger print unlock.
Looks like you need root for this.
To import: Save xmls to /sdcard/tasker/profiles
Load up tasker and long press profiles and hit "import".

I can confirm that this works for me as well. Thank You.
This profile works without root to auto hit the bell and is much faster than my other one. You need tasker and autoinput.
