I have a g4 which is a bit dead right now.
Basically I have been playing round with trying out different roms. Its CID locked so I have been using shelltool.
On my last flash, something disrupted it and I had to disconnect. No when I turn it on it hangs on the splash screen (o2).
So what do I do now?
I tried downloading the original software from o2 and ried flashing that with the update facility whilst in boot loader mode and it comes up with a 300 error saying i need an updated update thingy.
Can any one suggest anything? Thanks

IPL and SPL are not touched, I can not answer if you would be able to go back to your original ROM, and agin: when I tried to flash my Cingular "Original" or "official" ROM from the Cingular site my Extended ROM was wiped, so as today I can flash the original ROM but my Ext ROM went to limbo.

The shelltool thread mentions what to do if your phone is stuck on a splash screen. Perhaps you could re-read certain parts of it, in order to get the answer to your post.

Maybe we are Titan Bastards, it seems Sprint and other companies have abandoned this phone, we onlyl have a few here like Olipro, DCD and others who continue to develop this rom and make it awesome, so my thanks to them.
yeah i talked with Olipro letting him know that i packaged it and put it up in that link. Not sure yet if he will redo it and update here or what, but he generally uses those terms for his Hard-SPL users. Like his topic in irc for another device SPL "...Hard-SPL-2.60 is out now ****wits! ..."
Either way his patched SPL is working now and it's currently available, but it may be revised.
He's British right? Reminds me of a movie I just watched "This is England" where he calls one of the kids a "cheeky bastid!". BTW, just tried 2.40 right now, works wonderful.
olipro patched that bootloader fast as hell. nothing we do here would be possible without his help. thank you olipro

how has sprint abandoned this phone? we wouldnt even have this new rom and bootloader if the rom sprint has been working on hadnt been leaked (and after using it for 2 days i can see why it hasnt been officially released yet)
im a noob i know i know i shouldnt be doing this unless i have a good understanding which i thought i did but now i am thinking twice. I tried to intall the new unlocker 2.40, i did everything it asked of me and now its stuck in the three color screen and i have no clue how to get out of it nothing is working, Activesync wont connect. someone please help!!!!
I am in the same boat. I got to the boot loader screen no problem, I upgraded to titan_radio_3.27.00.exe no problem. I then ran ROMUpdateUtility.exe from dcd_2.0.0_beta_sprint.exe.
No errors or problems but when i rebooted it hangs onit just hangs at the "HTC smart mobility" screen.
If I tried to replace the dcd_2.0.0_beta_sprint.nbh with another .nbh could that save me?
I am able to get to the boot loader screen and have USB, but on warm or cold boot it just hangs at the "HTC smart mobility" screen.
Seems if i have boot loader access, i am not hosed.
I did run the latest unlocker Hard-SPL-MFG(2).exe
the new radio/spl is not compatible with the older roms. Something in the XIP has changed and if not present your device will hang.
are you aware of a solution?
you guys are having problems cause you did not run titanrelocker before flashing the ne stuff, or if you ran it you did it wrong.
it is imperative that you run the bat file inside of titanrelocker folder as opposed to running ruu.exe file.
for you to do that now that you are stuck ya gotta boot to bootloader mode , flash a older rom then activesynce and relock the phone the right way.
I just want to point out the fact that this is about the 4th question of the exact same nature i have answered today. I had none of these problems because i READ before i installed. none of what ive said here is news as it WAS ALL MENTIONED IN THE FIRST POST OF KMARTBURRITO'S THREAD
the moral of the story: dont friggin mess with anything if you cant be assed to read the first post of the thread of the rom you're flashing.

Also just to be sure, to re flash i would just switch the current .nbh for the older one. Correct?

I didn't use a relocker and I'm up and running fine. So I don't think your comments work for everyone.

maybe not now. they may have changed the new hard spl to accomodate that issue. it was a required step yesterday though

I flashed my phone awhile ago. So it was before any new hard spl.
Anybody that can upload it here or link it to here, from somewhere other than ppcgeeks? There site is down, and I'm sitting here ready to re-up the SPL to try the new dcd rom, since his 1.6.10 keeps not waking up for phone calls and SMS.

i need some help. just finished upgrading my mogul and it keeps on rebooting after a few seconds after it reaches the today screen. i have tried dcd 2.2.4 and 2.2.6 with same results.
i believe if i keep it plugged into the computer it will stay on. any help please!??!

I just had the exact same problem. Did you load any other software after flashing the radio and rom?
Unfortunately i couldnt find a solution that involved DCD's roms. I flashed to 2.4 2.6, 1.6 new radios but nothing worked. I had to use no2chems nuerom 2.0 buld 5044 which works great, but doesnt have the verizon specifics. GPS is good and its fast. If anyone else comes up with something please let us know as i would like to have some of that software back.

2. If you are using 3.16+ code then you need either:
>>>a. The reLocker if upgrading to the unofficial carrier released rom
>>>b. the unLocker (new) 2.40 if running custom built roms
you'll learn the terms eventually....
just an FYI
do a search on here and on google FIRST if you run into problems because most likely you'll not be the first to have the issue.

just verified, i am already using 2.40
also im not new to forums... i am well aware of google and search tools. these forum websites are getting annoying with spam protection that half the time when i tried doing a search, it would not complete it.
i knew i was running a stock 3.16
did you have an old custom bootloader? you need to relock it if so then run the 2.40
if its like mine then when you relock it you will lock up on the bootloader and have to do exit bootloader to get back to the splash screen where it will lock again. I even flashed back to the stock rom and it relaoded. I think it may be an glitch in the s.27 radio personally.
i went from the latest stock to custom using the guide above. is there a need to relock it or do you leave it unlocked?
if you go from stock to custom bootloader and upgrading the radio 3.27 and a DCD rom you don't need to relock it.
you only need to relock for the leaked sprint rom
did you upgrade the radio too?

I've had trouble getting bluetooth to work since flashing to DCD. I haven't had any trouble with anything else. I've got the new Verizon MR1 update installed and everything is stock other than the boot loader which is the No2Chem 2.47 loader. Aside from the possibility that it's the reason my BT doesn't work, I guess I need to send the phone for repair. Either way, I should get a stock loader in there. Anyone have any suggestions for a stock loader? Did the MR1 need anything other than the original loader? In other words, if I put the old loader in there, will I have a problem booting? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Ahh, just read up, you know you can just use HardSPL to flash a ROM right? you don't need to do this anymore.
HSPL2 can even revert your SPL back to the original afterwards, I've done it myself, even sent it back to HTC afterwards so that's proof enough that it doesn't void your warranty.
Anyway, there's another thread you might as well post on instead of starting a new one here
