Where can we find some of these new 3D games? That sounds great.

Just search around, there a few free ones, some you have to pay for.
Just a little tidbit of info though, it says he's using the new Jbed in his cab...he's not. He's using the version from my Java Pack 1.0. Java Pack is now updated to 1.1 with the actual newest Jbed.

Hi
It workd for me
I downloaded a few java games from myt610.com.
Copy them to the device, i.e. my documents/java games/ then click on each one to open it. It will then open up the midlet manager and install the game.
Pacman is quite good, but there is no sound.

I downloaded the MS Pacman and it ran fine without java thing... Thanks for the game....
Hi remlap
thanks for the ppc pacman.
I tried super mario, MIDP-Man, Pman and gold hunter. They all worked.
Once you click on them, the MIDlet Manager opens and asks if you want to install them, once installed you can run it as often as you like.
I have attached the Midlet manager file I used to install from, just in case its different from the one in this post

Spaceman Beta (game) WVGA ONLY

hi,
This is a beta of my second game Spaceman. I am having limited time to develop this game as my work is very busy. Instead of not releasing it i though i would as it is still playable at beta version (tested on HTC tp2 and SE x1).
This is a Shooting game, think space invaders.
It is WVGA ONLY
In the .rar u will find the spaceman .cab + spaceman .exe (for people who dont want to install a cab) + Ganondolfs Adventure .cab (my first game, also WVGA ONLY) and a .txt file.
I am currently unable to get a screen shot of the game but if anyone who downloads it would upload a pic i would appreciate it.
Link:
http://rapidshare.com/files/377261141/Spaceman.rar
Thanks
thanks for sharing
can we have some screenshots ?
Awesome game
it reminds me of a project a did while I was back at school, it was in VB, and not as good looking as this one.
It'd be really nice if you change the font on the start screen to something more "spacy"
this one looks like I'm about to play a Robbin Hood game
p.s: I've attached some screen shots too
have added it to 1800pocketpc, nice game

I am using the Game Editor software not VS as i first tried VS and had lots of problems. Game Editor software is a great place to start for making games on WM and pc, although this will be my last game using the software as it cant be used with wm7.
I made Megaupload mirrors for faster downloading.
I re-compressed the folder with 7z for a smaller download size, so anyone who prefers a .7z file can download that one.
original .zip : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GIC8GWU1 (11.3MB)
smaller .7z : http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UZ1H06G3 (3.64MB)
VERY good game! ^^ Like the old days, bad that the WinMo doesn't support Multitouch on the Rhodium - that would be great in this game! Kick some Bad Ass Aliens! =D

[Q] Open GL ES 1.0/1 - Pocket Legends on HTC Hero

Hey there guys,
Just looking for some information.
Currently im attempting to play a game from the market "Pocket Legends".
Open GL ES 1.1 is a requirement for this game, which is not covered by the stock Three UK android 2.1 ROM. Does anyone know if any HTC Hero ROMs include Open GL ES 1.1, or if the Hero just doesnt support Open GL ES 1.1?
Im currently running FroydVillain 1.7.2
Cronos gingerbread supports 1.1 OpenGL.
I don't know if any other rom do this...
Here you go, a zip update to 1.1! Although pulser has said that it will also be included in the next patch to 1.7.2.
http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/s...g-OpenGL-ES-1.1!&p=36943&viewfull=1#post36943
But Pocket Legends still doesn't work after installing OpenGL ES 1.1, for no one
I can confirm that after installing Open GL ES 1.1 Pocket Legends doesn't work.
Anyone else got an other ideas?
Regards.
Well we are not sure that Open GL ES 1.1 really works as it should. Some people experienced change, but i myself have not.
The reason I started the OpenGL thread at villainrom (Gerben) was because I have been searching for ways to launch pocket legends. Spacetimestudios considers making the game available for OpenGL ES 1.0, so then it should work.
But for the time being, I don't know anyone (And yes I have searched far and wide) who has the game working on their Hero

no, there is one way to make it works:
open file /system/lib/egl/egl.cfg and edit last 2 strings:
0 1 android
0 0 fimg
then you must write it with the same rights.
Don't reboot phone - it would not been started.
After playing you must return all back.

cool....
ok so we need a prefs toggle for this purpose I think. if I get time I'll develop one (maybe similar to my" media volume toggle" app) but any app devs could put one together for rooted phones I'd think.
Cheers,
Don
Thanks for the advice guys. Hopefully we can get something sorted. If not I guess Ike just get an upgrade on my contract haha

What's it run like on hero??? Playable at all?
Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
If you set egl.cfg so it reads
0 0 qcom
0 1 android
then pocket legends runs and you can leave it as there is no problem rebooting handset.
Haven't noticed any loss in performance doing this. Pocket legends runs fine although there are some graphical glitches, similar to the old version of Angry Birds.

alternative? as it one with a purple tie-died icon?
;-)
there's only one version of 1.1 I think. either flash it or copy the lib over manually. but there's more to it - you need to edit build.prop and the jury's out as to whether we're doing that correctly yet for this graphics library. Also there's a rumor that the library needs special permissions and related settings to run correctly in all situations.

quoting myself here because I think it's funny that I may actually be the one starting the rumor LoL
So by alternative to flashables, I did mean manual install. I've subsequently installed manually, it noe seems to try, but fall over. I've submitted my crash logs too the devs

Making my Android a WP7

Hi!
I'm really fond of the Metro UI that is built in WP7 phones, but as I can't afford buying a new phone for now (and maybe a long time), I'd like to make my Arc a bit more like a common WP7 phone.
So I purchased the donate version of Launcher 7 -I'm satisfied enough with it-, but would like some more customization details, like themed apps (principal ones, like messaging, phone, etc.), and why not even a custom framework-res and stuff!
But apart from Launcher 7, I'm didn't find anything interesting, that's why I come to you : does anyone know how to make it more WP7 style or would be interested enough to start customizing the phone and some apps? I would do it if I had some aesthetical sense, but that's not the case
Thanks for reading and sorry for my poor English
i have been keeping track of this project myself. I wouldnt buy any of their apps as of today but wait until its finished

Fede's music app is out of beta, and is now called Uber music, it expired sometime last month, and you get a prompt that explains that its out of beta and to buy uber music, when you open the app (Fede's music) then it exits.

"The WP7Android-Project?
This project was launched by mobile entusiasts to combine the ultimate mobile experience: the freedom of Android and the grace and elegance of Windows Phone 7. Anyone that has not used Windows Phone 7 is missing out on the sleek and beauty of the OS and the style of the applicaitons. However, on the other hand, those that have used it will also notice the limitations and lack of apps that everyone is used to use."

Indeed my app is free, yes you have the option to pay and if you do you get extras including all updates first and faster downloads etc.... I am very sorry Harfainx for giving people the option to support my project
Sorry, but I didn't even see a free version. I clicked your link and it took me to a paid app in the market.
I apologize for trying to help someone not have to pay for what is available all over the internet for free.
I clearly see the free version in your thread now though.
