Niki Outlook Keyboard Shortcuts - Touch Dual, MDA Touch Plus ROM Development

The hardware keyboard for theNiki doesn't support Outlook email key shortcuts by default, so I built this CAB to map 0-9 to the common shortcuts.
Normally for WM Pro, the mappings are to letters on a full keyboard. For WM Std, they are for 0-9 keys. Since the keyboard on the Niki is more like 0-9 on a Smartphone, I mapped the keycodes to 0-9.
**I have only tested this on the 16-key - can someone verify on the 20-key?**
**You must either restart the phone or kill Outlook and relaunch for the changes to take effect.**
The listing below shows the shortcuts. You can always hold down '0' in Outlook to display these:
(Normal PocketPC Key / Function / Niki Key)
H/List Shortcuts/0
A/Reply All/1
R/Reply/2
K/Mark Read Unread/3
F/Flag/4
M/Move/5
O/Forward/6
D/Delete/7
L/Download Message/8
S/Send Receive/9

IDEA TO SOLVE REC AND CAMERA BOTTON

i browes the registry of the wm2k5 in XDA2 O2, i figured out that that there is no registry for the camera and record button,. can we add up reg for camera and rec button
so can we? can we?
those key's registry are there.
hklm\software\microsoft\shell\keys
and those shortcuts are pointing to RAI assignments.
it would be better to write an application, which will unmap rec and cam buttons from system and remap them to itself... so if you press that button, this app will capture keypress event and will run camera or notes...

uhmm,. just a hitch anyway,. hehe

Hi,
So have you tried with RegisterHotkey API? Here is a simple application that reregisters all hardware buttons to its window, and if you press hardware buttons a messagebox should pop up with hardware key id. Anybody can try it with non working buttons? ( I haven't upgraded my device yet ) I tried it on my wm2k3SE device and with Win Mobile 5 emulator in Viusal Studio 2005. ( It worked )
If it's working then I think it is possible to write an application as background process to start camera and notes application with windows API. If it's not working and doesn't show anything if you press CAM/REC, then it must be a driver issue (
I would like to thanks buzz for hiz extremely good work!!
I am sad now because of this ms guy
I tray this file and buttons rec and cam don't working, other buttons working
Why dont you guys use this freeware.

It works great on my Himalaya with WM5 1.60a installed. But even without this sw my Himalaya dont have any problem with the Record and camera buttons. Try it.
I use this basically to:
- Unmap all the buttons including the Green and Red Button, and the Volume slider.
- Remap the Volume Slider to Up and Down keys.
- Remap the Green and Red Buttons as Left and Right Softkeys. This way you can access WM5 apps soft menu using only the buttons and the biderectional pad.
- Any other key you can map to anything you want.
because some device have problem with this two buttons and with or without this software they still dont work

keyboard key codes

Hi
i was wondering if anyone knows all the keyboard key codes to map the S740 keyboard using the eT9.Rose.0***.kmap.txt file
i find it very useful to change certain keys and i was also looking for, if possible, which key code is used to change the accent of the previous typed letter (like the aü key on the xperia x1) so i can easily use accented letters, áàãâ etc, without having to go to sym menu or map them on different keys.
thanks
AE Keymap
Search for the program named AE Keymap and install it, it's a utility for changing keymaps with a scanner application on the side so that you can read out the codes by pressing buttons.

[Q] bluetooth keyboard and games

Hello,
I bought a Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard for play games on my hd2. I successfully paired the keyboard and phone, because its works in text editor.
Problem is in most games and emulators like Morphgear and Fpsece, i can't assign buttons from bluetooth keyboard (from phone keys too). For example the Morphgear application show key code in button settings after assign, but in games this key not working. I disable xt9 to standard MS by change value in registry but its not solved this problem.
How can I assigned keys correctly??

[Q] Virtual D-pad application

Hi,
I'm search for some d-pad app, which can show me virtual d-pad on screen. I found some, but it doesn't met my needs. I need d-pad for example for edit of searched value. This can be done by "arrow" or trackball - but we have nothing of these.
I also tried remap UP/DOWN d-pad keys on volume UP/DOWN but I can't set up volume during call, mute, configure volume...
My requirements
- I don't want see d-pad all the way. I would like bring-up virtual d-pad by some hw key (long/short search button press for example) or for example from notify or by tiny persisted virtual key on display
- it should be possible move d-pad on screen
I found only one app which is really is close to my requirements, but it works strange and have sometime FCs. It is called softkeys.
I do not understand, why for windows mobile exist so much virtual d-pads, services for handling key shortcuts even gravity control "d-pad" but for android nothing?

T9 Keyboard app for hardware keypad?

Are there any apps that support a physical keypad: I have an android phone (Xiaomi Qin 1s+) with a physical keypad. It's great but I'm using the normal "tap tap tap" to select the specific letter / character. I'm curious if there are any keyboard apps that'll support a physical keypad? I have found Traditional t9 Keypad IME but it functions very poorly. Any suggestions?
