Press End Key to Stop Intercept Tone - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

I have a strange problem. I am using NoChem 5067 ROM with Radio 1.35, Microsoft VC 1.6 (UK version although it happens with all versions 1.6.17913-1.6.19213 embedded as well) and icontacts. Unless I manually dial the number, both icontacts and VC will give me this message "Press End Key to Stop Intercept Tone" (unless I am roaming?!?!) in which case the call will go through. Has anyone had this experience? Is it possible that the tones are too rapid for Sprint's network to recognize on the Mogul (both software packages worked perfectly on the Apache).
Regards,
MG

Has anyone else seen this?

After I upgraded my ROM to DCD's latest, whenever I try dialing from contacts or speed dial, I get this error message:
"Press END key to stop intercept tone" and it never dials.
Anyone got any ideas?
which carrier?
never seen or heard of that, did you install the right rom for your carrier?
The carrier is Verizon and I chose Verizon from the kitchen when I created the ROM. I have made ROM's before on my 6700.
if I dial the number manually, it works fine. It's only when I dial from contacts or speed dial.
Strange.
Confirmed
I'm running the NexVision Hybrid ROM (based on DCD's ROM) on my XV6800, and I can reproduce this issue at will. I've narrowed it down (at least in my case) to the international dialing prefix being used. That is, if a contact's number is stored as (e.g.) "+1 212 555 1212", the dialer chokes on the "+1" - I hear a short beep, and then (usually) see the "Press END key to stop intercept tone" message.
If I edit the contact's phone number to remove the "+1" (or just the "+", leaving the 1), it dials just fine. Basically, it seems to always come down to the "+"...
The problem (for me, at least), is that I have a "+" prefix for most of my (many) contacts. Plus, most of the numbers in my employer's Company Directory (which I can search and dial from my device) have this prefix. I've had a few people ask me what the "+" prefix is all about, thinking the mistake is on my side for using some alien format for the country code prefix. Just to head that off, I'll point out that this format comes from the ITU-T Recommendation E.123, "Notation for national and international telephone numbers, e-mail addresses and Web addresses". So there. Plus, it's worked on every other phone I've ever used, including this one - at least I did, until I upgraded the ROM. ]
BetaMan, does this apply to your case at all? Either way, does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks,

DCD 3.1.2 and Voice Command

Hello all. Before tweaking to DCD 3.1.2, Voice command would announce incoming messages and callers. Now, with dcd, the actual ringtone is played over bluetooth headset and no announcments are made. any thoughts on how to eliminate ringtone being played over bluetooth and have announcments made again? Thanks folks. You guys rock!
mine acts different...i get ringtone in my headset and it announces who calls over ringtone in my headset, also my phone vibrates but doesnt ring.
i wish there was an easy way to configure the settings cuz i would like for my phone to vibrate and ring out loud (im not always wearing my bt headset 24/7 when bt is enabled) and i want my headset to announce so and so is caling or the number if its not in my phonebook.
i also notice when in a call it announces who is calling in for call waiting which is cool
Ring and voice command
Not only those problems but, I have no options for voice commands. I can't set them up use them or even find a icon for them. I am also missing a lot of just standard options. There are no personal settings there is no where to Finnish the GPS setup. I am getting a little tired of running a rom that has absolutely nothing in it. I understand that you should be able to do more with a dcd rom but I don't understand how you are supposed to utilize these options when they have been forcefully removed from the OS. If anyone knows where I can pick up the stock voice command prog, the stock MSN messenger, and how to replace the missing personal settings tab and the slide sound tab. That would be helpful.

First of all, dcd's roms are meant to be cooked clean. That's why UC compatibility was added. Lots of people got excited when it was first added, but I've seen very very few people actually utilize it the way it's supposed to. Before I go on I have to ask...are you cooking your own rom using the kitchen, or are you using the precooked rom that is posted? If you're using the latter, then NOTHING besides the essential functions will be installed. It's a clean precooked rom and nothing else.
That being said, if you're cooking your own rom with the kitchen, there's a few things you should know...
Voice Command does not come stock with the phone. It's a third party application from Microsoft that costs roughly $40. There isn't an option for it in BuildOS, so unless you have it and you're installing it via a cab (the way I recommend), or through an OEM, then you will not see any options for it, as it is not installed. If you're referring to Voice Speed Dialer, that's a whole different program. There are no options for it. You have to manually record yourself speaking the commands.
Sliding Sound has to be added using BuildOS. If you're not checking it off prior to cooking the rom, then it will not be included in your rom.
I don't use MSN messenger, but I'm going to guess that Windows Live is what you're looking for? If so, Windows Live also has to be added using BuildOS.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say "Finish the GPS settings". Could you clarify?
As far as your personal settings tab goes, that is a valid problem and we would have to speak further in detail for me to diagnose it.
MS Voice Command: Definitive Guide Thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=391262
P.S. had the same problem, got the 1.6.19209 version listed in that thread, now voice command talks right over the ring tone and I get the best of both worlds.
i dont use voice command really, but i noticed after the update that my phone no longer physically shows the contact or number of whos calling when my phone rings.
It just says
Verizon Wireless
Incomming Call
Then the rest of the box is blank.
Anyone know how to fix this? I didn't run the verizon cab, but with 3.1.2 i didn't think i needed to? Especially since it still says verizon wireless when people call, and i can call out/send sms

Please read more. All 3.1.x roms REQUIRE the carrier cab to be installed. It says it in clear text right on the first page of the kitchen thread.
ROM requires a carrier cab:
Alltel
Bell
Cricket
Iusacell
Qwest
Sprint
Telecom NZ
Telus
Verizon

Can someone with DCD Rom 3.1.x and also MS Voice Command confirm if a bug is present? I have 3.0.4 and my wife has 3.0.1 and we both have the same issue with MS VC. Basically, if you use VC to set the ringer volume, you can not re-adjust it using the phone. So, turn off ringer using VC then try to turn it back on using the stylus. Verify that the volume is turned back on.
I simply can not turn the volume back on with the stylus. I can turn it back using VC no problem. Thanks.
I personally do not use Microsoft Voice Command anymore.
The reason is that it uses a lot of resources on my phone.
I did several customizations on my phone and have several apps installed and I roughly get 24 to 25 mb at startup. With voice command I get around 19 to 20.
I just rather use Voice Speed Dial that is in DCD's Kitchens. Yes you would have to program your voice to recognize the commands, but it does what I need it to do and it saves a lot of memory.

I have been using VC with all of DCD's ROMS and have not had a problem. I bought the package a while back but found an OEM that I use now. I works great when it does figure out what I am saying. LOL
I don't have any issues with setting the ringer by VC and then by stylus. I also don't have any issues using it through my BT headset. Make sure you have the right settings in the settings control panel with the icond Voice Command. Check out the options and notifications for each of the checked items. There was also a set of files to fix something a while back I have posted them here but you should do the search to find out what they fixed.

Dialer causing phone to lock up

Don't know if anyone else is having this problem with the new iPhone-style dialers: Dialer installs fine; looks great. However, the phone locks up under this scenario:
1. dial number which will require a password entry (e.g. to retrieve voice mail) and press talk
2. prompted for password
3. password entered
4. click on "call status" to turn on speaker phone or mute, for example and phone freezes up. I can still hear the call but none of the keys on the phone work.
What I have figured out is if after the call connects I don't use the keyboard I can click on call status and everything works fine. As soon as I use the keyboard in the middle of the call and click on call status the phone freezes. Something about using the keyboard and switching to call status makes the phone freeze up.
This is very frustrating because I really like these dialers. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Radio: 3.42.02
WM v 6.1 (Build 20931.1.5.0)

Speed/Fast dial doesn't work with key 5.

Hi,
I have assigned speed dial codes to a bunch of mobile numbers. Starting from 2-9. If I press and hold key 5, it doesn't call the number it is assigned to. All other numbers works. All numbers are US numbers with the format 1(xxx) xxx-xxxx, calling them directly via contacts works fine.
Currently my device runs on Pampooh's Windows MobileĀ® 6.1 Standard CE OS 5.2.20282 Build 20282.1.3.6 (English Only) v1.05b ROM.
I had the same issue even when I was running earlier version of WM6.1 ROM by Erofich.
I remember that it used to work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JSenthil
Sounds like a hardware problem to me. I have no limitations on any particular number acting as a speed dial.
I can actually use the key 5 for all other purposes, for instance I can, dial numbers, access address book and type messages as well. So it can't be a hardware issue. I wonder if the cooked ROM's have anything to do with it. I have to mention that I like this ROM very much though, the phone is much more usable now.

BT Dialing Problem

Greetings all!
I have an HTC Touchpro (Raph800) from Alltel. Yes Vzw is my current provider due to the buyout, but i still use my alltel phone. I recently upgraded it to wm6.5 using the mighty rom. Awesome rom btw! So far everything is working great, save for the bluetooth dialer in my car. it worked great under wm6.1.
I'll give you an example:
I press the button on the steering wheel to make a call.
I hear, "Make a call. Say by Name, By Number"
I say, "Name"
I hear, "Say the name of the person you wish to call."
I Say , <Insert Name Here>
I hear, "Call", <name from above> , "on which number. At Home. On Mobile"
I say "On Mobile"
I hear "Say yes to dial. Or, say back or cancel."
I say, "yes"
I hear "Dialing", <name from above> , "on mobile." Then a bunch of DTMF tones probably to simulate dialing because they always sounf the same for any nimber in my address book.
What is suppose to happen next: (What happend on wm6.1)
My dialer shows up on my screen and it dials the number in my address book and makes the call.
What is happening:
Nothing. Nothing on my phone changes and after 30 seconds of waiting the system times out and goes back to playing music through the speakers.
The only I can get this to work now is if i already have the dialer app open, wich makes the whole process pointless because my contacts are just one more tap away. If I dial from the phone the car system works has a hands free device. I can also answer calls from the steering wheel controls. When the phone is ringing the dialer app is running so I think this is why. I just cant dial from a cold start like I used to under wm 6.1.
Any ideas? Complaints? Gripes?
btw, the car is a 2011 Kia Sorento.
Thanks in advance for any information.
[Update]
Now for whatever reason, the bluetooth dialing is completly not working. Is there another dialer that would work? Or am I screwed?
