I'm a new owner of the 6800. I flashed it using DCD's 3.2 and I'm using the 3.42.30 radio. Regular SMS texting works fine, but I cannot receive or send MMS.
When I go to the MMS section configuration on the PDA it shows Sprint being a profile for settings, but it will not let me hit the new button.
I ended up finding the "dcd VZW Arcsoft MMS 5.0.31.19.cab" mentioned on the forums here, so I installed it and did a soft reset, but it did not seem to affect things at all.
Any suggestions on what I could try next?
Thanks =)
Go to this thread
Follow the instructions and be sure to uninstall the DCD .cab and check the registry afterward to be sure that it was completely removed. Once you are sure that all previous instances of MMS are removed then install the new cab from the post above. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=404345

How did you flash the radio? I suspect you used the official Sprint Upgrade, AND you let the customizations run..... Is this correct?
You rock! Worked first try. Thanks so much!

I just installed yesterday the Altell ROM in my Sprint Mogul phone and everything look work fine except the MMS, thanks Olipro for your work;
I used this configuration:
Server name: Sprint
Gateway: (leave in blank)
Port number: 80
Server address: http://mms.sprintpcs.com/servlets/mms
Connect via: (here the Sprint is not available The Internet and doesn't worked)
Sending size limitation: 300kb
WAP: Select WAP 2.0
i had the same problem. find a cab on xda for arcsoftmms and install it. then soft reset. after resetting, uninstall the cab you just installed. soft reset again.
now go into your mms settings and set up a new default with the settings you previously used.
It worked for me. Give it a shot. I don't know what the arcsoft installation does that corrected my problem, but it's fixed and working perfectly
later
Im using the same settings and everything is working fine if is under 300k... anyone know hoe to increase the size? the drop down menu on show 300k.
Thanks!

i have mine currently set at 585K in the drop down menu.
it's just a registry setting you need to change
HKLM-SOFTWARE-ARCSOFT-ARCSOFT MMS-CONFIG-mm1-96352-
then increase the values for both the WAP1DefaultSize and WAP2DefaultSize

Hi, thanks for you answer, just a question what you did after uninstall the arcsoftmms because i don't see no more the MMS folder in my Pocket Outlook and the settings for MMS is there but you i can't see either where you can create one MMS Folder......well thanks in advance....
just wanting to make sure i'm understanding, you've already installed and then uninstalled the arcsoft, correct?
If so, then just access the mms setting and configure it with the information that was in the previous post. Once you've done that you should be able to go into your sms messaging and select "new mms" and that should be it
Any links to the arcsoftmms that you used?
cab file is attached.
again, i don't take credit for the file. i found it on xda i just don't remember where

Yes i did it, first time using a Arcsoft MMS that i have and one more time using the version you have but i don't any Folder in my Messaging (Pocket Outlook) after this but i using the HTC Home Plugin and when i hit the Message Button then i can see the inbox folder and selecting new create a message eith Pictures or Multimedia staff but when i hit send he start the like uploading (couting percentage slow depend of the size) but i at the end i got a message saying ... " Message could not be send. Unsupported message format, Operation failed!. Version cannot be supported......
so one second... we have to install and then uninstall the arcsoft one to make this work?
does anyone else think this is a silly way to go about it?
What does the installation do? its probably as simple as changing some registry settings.

Those are the correct settings -- Connect via "choose alltel wireless" --
MMS should be fine after that. Its the same internet connection as creating your own Sprint connection.

Has anybody been able to get the MMS working with Arcsoft on the Telus network?
does telus offer mms? if not try nuemms, mms over email
ya telus does offer sms.. but dunno how to get it to work.
same problem here mate.
what software does Telus use for MMS in it's stock ROM? If it's arcsoft, then I'd like to take a stab at helping get it working for you guys... i use Verizon but i am getting pretty good at getting Arcsoft to work for me.... What I need is your HKLM/Software/Arcsoft registry export from someone who is using the stock ROM and then the same thing from someone trying to get either Arcsoft 4.2.8.1 or the newer 5.XXX to work....

We, on WM Telus phones, are not using any MMS servers. No ROM build for a Telus WM phone has offered MMS support and there remains no indication that Telus will.
I remember people having tried to hack MMS into WM through to Telus, but to no avail. It appears that Telus' business model is to segregate defined devices to specific features of its network. The locked mentatlity at Telus tends to treat WM devices more for business and data (web/email) than for a younger target who're motivated for text/photo messenging. I'm guessing a bit by what is not available and apparently locked out on the network.
That's the we way it appears to be. We can try to find the direct servers to see if it may work, but so far none that I know of have accomplished sending such messages on WM devices. Your network ID is associated to the model of phone that you have...
this really shouldn't be such a difficult task... i know it's been attempted many times before by many people but shouldn't we be able to just get the servers and other settings from a non-WM device that has functional MMS on Telus?
The only other issue I can think of is that i i recall correctly, Telus handles MMS in a different way than most other carriers. The last time I had a non-WM handset on Telus, MMS messages were handled via a text message with a link to a wireless web page where i could retrieve the message. It was a total PITA. Unless Telus has changed their network model for MMS, it won't be easy.
Everithing Work fine for me....
My MMS setting is to Telus MMS Network... If you wanna know how it work go on the telus site : http://www.telusmobility.com/clientcare/pcs_east/faqs/picture_messaging_faqs.shtml
It's cost about 25cent for a picture MMS and 50 cents for a videoMMS...
Wich it will help... Do you let's the custumization run at first boot And the Major question wath ROM are you running ...
So good luck

How exactly did you get MMS to work on Telus?
I havew mannaged to get half of it working... sending messages, here's the thread with full instructions
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392284
To get MMS to work on Telus, the following must exist in your registry:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\UI]
"Domain"=""
"EnableRemoveCountryCode"=dword:00000000
"EnableSaveAudioObject"=dword:00000001
"FlixSlideCountLimit"=dword:00000000
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\MMSCSetting\Telus MMS]
"WAP1RecvDefaultSize"=dword:19000
"WAP1SendDefaultSize"=dword:19000
"PacketSize"=dword:3E8
"ConnectionVia"="{436EF144-B4FB-4863-A041-8F905A62C572}"
"WAP2SendDefaultSize"=dword:4B000
"WAP2RecvDefaultSize"=dword:FA000
"WAPType"=dword:1
"GatewayPort"=dword:50
"MmscURI"="http://mms.telusmobility.com/servlets/mms"
"Gateway"=""

"ISP"="Telus MMS"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1]
"DefaultSetting"="Telus MMS"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader]
"Accept"="*/*"
"User-Agent"="Titan"
"Profile"="http://www.htcmms.com.tw/gen/Titan-1.0.xml"
"Accept-Charset"="us-ascii;utf-8;iso-10646-ucs-2"
"Accept-Language"="en"
Also as stated in other threads regarding MMS on different carriers, you must add the following string to HKLM\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader
Code:
"X-Telus-MDN"="your 10 digit phone number"

That's nice, but that doesn't change the fact that they don't work. I'm on the Telus network, Telus has tried to disable picture messaging entirely on their PDA/smart phones. My solution that I posted works, at least for sending... I would really appreciate it if you coulld help me with it, because I'd like to beat Telus and be able to send messages as well.
Here's the post I mentioned http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=392284 .... I haven't been able to duplicate my results on arcsoft though

I'm well aware of your best results, you've managed to get arcsoft talking to the telus servers, I haven't for some reason, I believe that if you use the two addresses I list on the page that you maybe able to at least match my results, possibly go further... But I do doubt we'll be able to receive picture messages with telus
Also it'd be much better than my solution because the UI of the application doesn't quite "feel" as nice as arcsoft's.
Hey,
I'm not sure why this happen but for some reason, I can not access the "pst" thing by pressing "##778#" or "##778". I was able to do it before, but ever since I switch to a new Mogul it wont let me. I also tried "##775#" to edit the PRL, but it still wont let me. I saw the sprint rep did some other numbers, but I forgot what they used. I need to get on to check if my PRL is up to date and see if the "REV A" is activated; and plus I just want to get on it because I'm curious now. Does anyone knows what other codes I can used? Thanks in advance.
ps. I'm using DCD 3.2.6 Radio 3.42.50
dunno.
3.2.6/3.42.50 myself and ##778# brings up EPST just fine.
i came on to ask the same question. i cant seem to get any codes to work. using DCD 3.2.5 on sprint
Some dialers don't allow ##codes. Try a different dialer, either reflash from the kitchen and select a different dialer, or unselect both dialers and use the default. I can't remember which dialer it was that didn't work, but I'm 99% sure one of them didn't work.

Be sure your 10 digit phone number(##########) is in the following registry entry:
HKLM\Software\Arcsoft\ArcsoftMMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader\X-VzW-MDN
I followed it all the way to WspHeader and i couldnt find X-VzW-MDN.

I've had this problem for months. I wasn't able to get it to work so I finally just gave up on sending and receiving pictures. I installed WM 6.5 built 21159 - Beta 5 ROM the other day and tried to send pics again, but still nothing. It really sucks.
His arcsoft cab has a setup DLL that reads the MDN from the registry and puts it into that key for arcsoft.... If you installed the carrier cab after the MMS cab then that would explain why its not there.... I'd hard reset, then install the carrier cab, then reboot, then install the arcsoft cab.... I have had to install the mms cab twice before it worked right.....

some kind of plan is required so you can actually receive a connection from the data network. you can get a pay as you go plan, but especially with WM phones this is a really bad idea because you can rack up alot of usage really quickly. if you dont have a data plan than you wouldnt be able to connect anny app to the internet
I got it to work. Just make sure you install the carrier cab first then the MMS cab. you might have to reinstall the MMS cab a couple of times, but it should work.
I am having this problem too. After installing the MMS button does not show up in messaging when sending media.
Can any body help me with getting data to work, I got my brothers sprint Touch Pro activated and working on Alltel except for data connections. I`ve been going off of this tutorial http://www.smartphonejunkie.com/showthread.php?t=177433 since i can`t access the thread at ppc geeks.
I`ve gone by that thread there and also copied all the settings from my working Alltel Touch Pro in QPST and loaded them on to my brothers phone, and changed the setting to his phone numbers etc... I still can`t figure this out.
I would suggest trying the dcd alltel carrier cab...I don't know where the originals are but you can find them here http://www.smartphonejunkie.com/showthread.php?t=180585
