Current upgrade guide for the most ROMs - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 ROM Development

Since it's possible to cook new ROMs into the "old" NK.NBF file format, the upgrade guide from hma4 (we love you for your work) is a little bit out of the date, so here's the current upgrade guide:
For indonasian users, read here
First of all, you have to know which Model version you have: G3 or G4! How to find out which device you have, take a little search trough the forum or read the WIKI!
Please be sure that your battery is charged above 50%, otherwise you could brick your recharging electronic in your device like I've done it with my first Neo!
Now I recomened you to flash the HardSPL because the SoftSPL isn't working for few peoples as I heared! For Non-Flash-A-Holics, use the SoftSPL method as described further down!
Download HardSPL for Prophet G3
Download HardSPL for Prophet G4
Flashing HardSPL
Connect your Prophet with your PC through ActiveSync! Now start the HardSPL.bat and three files will be copied onto your device! After executing them, your screen would become white, now plug out the cable and replug it, you could hear a sound notification on your desktop like you plugged in an USB stick! Now you've loaded the SoftSPL into the RAM and you're be able to flash the HardSPL! The Upgrade Utility is starting automatically, when not start it by hand!
Please note, the first:
The update status in % isn't shown on your Prophet screen, only on your desktop PC screen!!!
When the HardSPL is successfully flashed, you will see for SPL in the boot sequence 2.G3.4PDA or 2.G4.4PDA, dedpending on your device model!
Please note, the second:
You've to flash the HardSPL only once! HardSPL means, that the original SPL will be overwritten with the patched 2.20 SPL from a Qtek 2.20 ROM! If you want your original SPL back, simply flash an official Provider ROM which contains the desired SPL, the HardSPL can be overwritten anytime!
SoftSPL
Download the SoftSPL, unpack it onto your desktop and you may see three files: JumpSPL.exe, SPL.nb and SPL.lnk! Copy these three files into the root directory of your device and execute SPL.lnk! If you have done it correctly, you could see your device rebooting and ending in an white screen, your device have successfully bootet with the SoftSPL! Now plug your device onto your PC, you could hear a sound notification on your desktop like you plugged in an USB stick!
Now you're ready to flash a ROM!
Remember:
The update status in % isn't shown on your Prophet screen, only on your desktop PC screen!!!
Now you can flash any ROM you wish that came in the NK.NBF file format!
You can post your comments and question if you want!

Would you please make it in points / listed form for better understanding?
If you want to make things more clear, you should ensure that yours are better (at least.. more easy to understand, with point list or pics or....)
Why not update the Upgrade guide instead of a new one? (thanks for sharing your knowledge actually)
I don't think the upgrade guide is out of date but that does need more information for a better result.
You really make a new thread, haha..... nice guy...........
Regards.

True...
I'll see if I can repackage some, and then add them on...
I personally think this is clearer, and it means you have to read everything, so you can't miss something out!
The "NEW Upgrade Guide" is a little out of date, as it contains information about editing the ExtROM which is not necessary with new ROMs.

I'm sorry, I forgott some characters in the link but now all three links are working correctly!

nice

Nice ! I didn't have the time to write a new upgrade guide.
great job.

Cara mengupgrade ROM baru (dengan nk.nbf)
Translate into Indonesian languange.
Animelover, I give some translation into Indonesian languange.

HardSPL for Prophet G3
HardSPL for Prophet G4

If it's the hardware, you'll need a new charging block, and possibly a new main board.
If it's not, a new ROM may help.

Am I doing this right?

Hi. I need to check I understand what to do as I don't want to do it wrong:
1.I have downloaded the HardSPL for Prophet G4.
2.I have used a piece of software to open the .rar file and extract the files.
3.I now have a new folder with the 14 files in it.
4. My device is plugged in and active synced.
Do I now click on the HardSPL (MS DOS Batch File) to start the process?
I have tried it, my screen went white, the whole process became automatic, taking me to the ROM update box as if I was flashing a new ROM. I cancelled as I was not confident that I had done it correctly.
Am I doing it correctly?
Thanks in advance,
Mattster.

You are doing it right!
The batch file installs SoftSPL that lets the RUU install the HardSPL.

I can't remember if I had to do a Hardreset after flashing the HardSPL, so it's better you perfom a full backup of your PIM data and other important data!

Nope its not necessary, but ur rite to back up saying that, if your hard SPL-ing, then ur gonna be flashing a ROM, so a backup might not restore due to different ROM. You can safely restore contacts, emails & personal files but not system data, if im correct

I did up more than 20 Roms on my prophet - the *.bat did everthing automatically so there are something I still need to know : What is the meaning of IPL/SPL ? Why do I have to hardSPL/softPL/jumpPL ?

IPL = Initial Program Loader, loads the SPL
SPL = Second Program Loader, loads all necessary things for boot sequence
With HardSPL you have a patched SPL in your device, which bypass the country lock for your device, also known as CountryID! Otherwise you might not be able to flash cooked ROMs because of missmatch the correct CountryID for your device!
JumpSPL or SoftSPL is a patched SPL too, but it's only loaded into RAM and will be away if you rebooting your device!
BTW:
You have to flash the HardSPL only once because it's flashed into the ROM part and will stay there until you flash a new original SPL!

Hi,
Helping my friend flashing 818Pro.
After trying more than 1 week, still stuck at Qtek screen, no choice hv to flash back to WM5 (RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_NVID.exe), already tried many ROMs, HardSPL, SoftSPL, JumpSPL, no way out. Read thru Wiki and this forum many time, still no hope, can anyone help?

Did you used the right Upgrade.exe, depending on the device (G3 or G4)?

The old way of upgrading to wm6 is dead and gone. This is a guide to upgrade your phone from WM5 to WM6.
You should follow these steps carefully. Step 3 and 4 are necessary only if the WM6 rom you have downloaded instead of nk.nbf has os.nb file and the ExtROM folder:
Download update_package.zip and unzip it on your PC.
Update_Package (rapidshare)
Update_Package (4shared)
HardSPL
If you haven't HardSPL your phone you should. but the good news is you have to do it once and for all.
Connect your device to the usb port then go to HardSPL folder and run HardSPL.bat from your PC. (Thanks to Prislav)
The HardSPL.bat will perform the SoftSPL first and then will do the HardSPL. so you don't have to do the SoftSPL manually.
Before doing the HardSPL you should know:
SPL - Second Program Loader is a boot loader. SPL is similar to a BIOS in a computer and can be flashed and updated.
G3 or G4: If you soft reset your phone you will see four numbers on top left of the screen. The first one is IPL version. which has this format : #.##.000# the last digit of IPL version indicates if the device is G3 or G4. the G4 device IPL version will end with 0001 and the G3 device IPL version will end with 0000. for example if your device is G4 you might see something like: 2.20.0001
the reason we HardSPL the phone is that the original SPL that comes with the phone check the CID
Making the Extension Rom.nb (using that 10Mb that we never used)
go to Update_Package\Create Extended Rom\Winimage Trial and run the winimage.exe
open the Create Extended Rom\extrom-base\extende_rom.nb with winimage.exe
you will see a file inside it says : "You should put your files here". Delete that file!
go to the ExtRom folder. (Look at the picture) you will find ExtRom folder in most of the wm6 roms. when you download a wm6 rom, this folder is usually beside the Upgrade_ROM.bat .
make all the files read only (Select them, right click , then properties and then read Only) <-------Important!! (Updated)
inject the ExtRom folder
save the file.

Convert os.nb and extended_rom.nb to nk.nbf
go to Update_Package\Create Nk.nbf and run nb2nbf.exe
Change the Model ID from Wizard to : Prophet
the CID filed must be empty!! But you can put any number for the OEM version.
select "File #1" then browse and select the extended_rom.nb that you have created from step 3.
Set the start address to 9B000000
Type Extension Rom for image name (Extension Rom not Extended Rom)!!! Edit: you can also write Extension instead of Extension Rom.
select "File #2" then browse and select the os.nb you have downloaded.
Select OS from Image Name drop down box
Select the location you want to save the output file (nk.nbf)
Click on Translate button on the top right of the screen.
Flash the nk.nbf
Using ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe you can flash the nk.nbf file you have created (or downloaded).
copy the nk.nbf that you have created to Update_Package\Update Utilities.
click on ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G3.exe or ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe and follow the instructions. Your main battery has to be more than 50% charge in order to be able to upgrade your rom( just a safety measure).
The benefits of using this new method:
More STORAGE area ! the smaller the os.nb the larger your storage!
I encourage all of you who haven't tried this method yet, to try this method. Specially if your favorite rom is relatively a clean rom and consequently has small os.nb. If you want to know how much extra storage you will get by using this method subtract the size of the os.nb (in kb) from 58,368. the difference will be the amount of storage you will gain when you try this new method.
Faster and safer Rom Upgrade.
Update: I have Attached the ScreenShots for those who can't see them from where I uploaded them.
Update2: You have to make the files in ExtRom read only before injecting the ExtRom folder.

I want to post some correctives:
Model ID: Prophet
Language: ENG or RUS (like i do )
OEM version: any digits
Operator version: any digits
CID: MUST be empty
Output file: path to yours nk.nbf
File 1: any nb-file (in my nk.nbf - this is 80040000-OS.nb, image name is OS)
File 2: any nb file (in my nk.nbf - this is 9b000000-Extension.nb, image name is - Extension)
If you want, you could add GSM and Splash.
But if i insert GSM and Splash, i insert GSM in File 1, Splash in File 2, OS in File 3, ExtROM in File 4. (Like in official ROM )
Enjoy.

Thanks K0ster, but the Model ID or the order of files I think doesn't matter. I followed the Faria instructions in his tutorial. the first field "File #1" is the only field that can have a longer name such as "Extension Rom". I haven't test "Extension" instead of "Extension Rom", but I think both is possible and correct. I will update the first post accordingly
once again thank you for your review
IF CID Unlocked by paid service do i need HardSPL ?
I have an Orange SPV M600 and i CID unlocked it using the paid service.
So do i have to HardSPL my phone ???
yes yes yes... thanks... is that what i'm talking about
I followed the described steps very exactly but my Neo stucks in bootloader everytime I flashed it with my created nk.nbf!
There are two reasons why it's not working for me, I think:
- I did a mistake in creating the OS.nb
- I did a mistake in creating the nk.nbf
I make a new try with the Mysterious 1.0 GER, hopefully it will work for me ...!
thank u mr hma4
please upload the images on first post in www.tinypic.com

I havnt tried whole method but step 3-5 are normal and 2 is new, so is 'more storage' result of step 2 ? (yes one has to use tadzio to reduce OS.nb)
what might be actual cause of 'more storage'?

flashing with UpdateUtility. when you flash your roms with Pdocwrite even though the os.nb is small, the storage area wont get merged with that free space. Making the nk.nbf and then flashing it with UpdateUtility will merge that free space with storage. also as you know you can't flash your rom with UpdateUtility if you haven't Hard(or soft) SPL.
I've followed the steps exactly again, with the same result: my Neo stucks at the second boot screen!
I used the HyperCore Kitchen to cook the OS.nb with a size of 49,9 MB instead of 57 MB! After that I used your nb2nbf, merged the Extension ROM image (only with 3 CAB files, the AutoRun.exe, Config.txt and Extension ROM image) and OS.nb to a nk.nbf! I've started the HardSPL installation, finished it well and then started the ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4.exe (I have a G4 XDA Neo)!
I don't know where's my mistake, it's a ****ing ****! (Not your method )
And the screen of my Neo is flickering a little bit now!

RW6815: I need 5 files to come back to original: help!

Hi,
I'm using the Helloworld1 wm6.0 rom version now, but I want to come back to my original rom.
I have tried all the way described:
- via minisd and via pc with the DSUU (OS Only) the phone freeze at boot after downgraded succesfully.
- via pc with the hpRUU patched doesn't work at all: it says that the device is unsupported (tried every version of the patched hpRUU), and I also tried to connect the hp directly in BL mode to the usb, but nothing. (using two different pc with WinXP)
So the only way I have to come back to my original wm5 is to send my ppc to the HP Repair Service... but I cannot do it if I have installed wm6!!
So I have to eliminate every proof of wm6.
I think I must replace every part of the rom:
1. vl1d_pda_Ver.mot
2. EBOOT.nb0
3. ExtendedRom.img
4. nova_pda_033105.mot
5. diskimage_Ver.nb0 (my rom)
I will do it with DSUU.
I already created the diskimage_Ver.nb0 with the Italian one.
Now I need ITALIAN vl1d_pda_Ver.mot, EBOOT.nb0 ExtendedRom.img and nova_pda_033105.mot.
In the official HP's upgrade package I can find theese files:
0.33.00-RW6815-RS-070524N.nbf (5911 KB)
1.12.00_rw6815_diskimage_ITA_sign_0806.nbf (64010 KB) the rom!
nova_pda_256_0119.nbf (109 KB)
and two .dll and the hpRUU exe.
I think that the BL is the same for 6828 and 6815, right?
But the others?
I think:
nova_pda_033105.mot is nova_pda_256_0119.nbf with some bytes cutted: it is the same file in this pre-made archive: PCUpdate2.zip http://www.mediafire.com/?yeg0vjymwts (by Helloworld1)
vl1d_pda_Ver.mot is 0.33.00-RW6815-RS-070524N.nbf with some bytes cutted off (how many?). I tryed to make the filesize equal to the one in the archive, but only the end results the same. So I don't know where is the beginnig and what to cut off. Someone could help me?
I have uploaded the original Italian 0.33.00-RW6815-RS-070524N.nbf here:
http://tinyurl.com/4tfjld
It is a rar archive to avoid corruption.
The original 0.33.00-RW6815-RS-070524N.nbf begins with a header:
Code:
etc etc (cut)
[Ú“2Â,iEå•)ÛÝ*¡v
Ù¥Ö)™Õk:¦6rôš)œ*$
5kÓ¥š¼Òí-Ü$j%Eë‘
ÕšÚò6¢5v%Y*eéÖ•Í!
óÒ$ŽÛEë[B][COLOR="Red"]S705F
FFFFFFFFE.S31501
0000000000A0E100[/COLOR][/B]
etc etc etc
and the vl1d_pda_Ver.mot (the one that comes and works with DSUU) begins with:
Code:
....R060822N_MN1
ARC_RS00052[B][COLOR="Red"]S705F
FFFFFFFFE.S31501
0000000000A0E100[/COLOR][/B]
etc etc
The red code indicates the start of the same content of the two files, but after some other bytes they become different (in content and in size!!), and the end of the files is the same for both.
So, may I have to add the
Code:
....R060822N_MN1
ARC_RS00052
header to my italian one to make it compatible with DSUU? Or is it a hash header? If so, how can I make my one?
But the ExtendedRom.img? Where can I find the original Italian one? Or is it the same for all version?
Or I just need to flash with vl1d_pda_Ver.mot to have the phone like the original? (even if it doesn't go after boot screen....)
Thanks

I really don't know!! I tried everything!
this is a summary:
After flashing my 6815, I tried to reinstall my original ROM but:
1- installing original ROM WWE or in my language (ITA) via MiniSD (128MB) results in a complete installation, but at soft-reset (or hard-reset) my PDA doesn't go after the boot HP blue screen
2- installing the original ROM WWE or ITA via hpRUU patched doesn't function at all because the program (even if it is patched) says that the update is incompatible (as you can see in the image below), and I tested it with WWE and ITA rom

}
3- I have founded the script to add header to the original rom in order to use the "Device Software Update Utility.exe" (the one used for the "via PC" method), and it installs the original rom, but after softreset my HP stops at the boot HP blue screen (the same thing happened with the MiniSD method)
4- Then i tried to install NHOCBANME rom, but all versions 2 (2.01, 2.02 and 2.03) don't work anymore for me: after installation (via MiniSD or PC) my HP enters in a continuous boot cycle: it shows the HP blue boot screen and then it resets itself!!!!)
5- The only ROM by NHOCBANME that I can use are: 1.04 and 1.05!!!
Prior to every tests, I have changed my bootloader from 1.0.5 version to 1.0.1 via MiniSD method (by putting just the file eboot.nb0 on the MiniSD in boot mode)
Now I tried to reinstall BootLoader 1.0.5, but the problem doesn't change, so I must install your Update 12: 20080614,b110 rom (or the NHOCBANME rom 1.5) to use my HP!!!
6- Then I found the two exe file to place in windows folder of my hp. I run resettobootloader, it goes in bl mode (version 1.0.1), I plugged the usb cable, run the hpRUU patched but...
"Cannot comunicate with device"
the program wants the hp connected like in ActiveSync mode!
7- So I tried to turn off the usb of activesync through Activesync -> connection settings -> turn usb connection off and run RUU again ...but nothing to do.
every other method (via Software Update Utility or SD) will make my hp to stop booting on the hp blue/white screen!!
So, I want to try to reset all the things in my hp. That's why I'm asking for the vl1d_pda_Ver.mot and ExtendedRom.img files.
If the ExtendedRom.img is the same for all hp, the only missing file to use DSUU is vl1d_pda_Ver.mot: if the size can be different than the one you have created in the archive PCUpdate2.zip http://www.mediafire.com/?yeg0vjymwts and the header can be copyed exactly... then I can try to downgrade with all the original files needed by my hp.
I am sure that there is something wrong in the memory that is not written by the ROM update. So, if the error isn't in the rom itself, it must be in one of the other files
ps: obviously I tried to use my italian rom with the DSUU of the PCUpdate2.zip archive and updated ALL with the files inside. But nothing changed: it keeps blocket at boot screen after the downgrade.
I have just tried to downgrade using 0.33.00-RW6815-RS-070524N.nbf from original italian package with header cutted like vl1d_pda_Ver.mot but the HP does not boot anymore at the end of downgrade.
So I am at the same point of start.
Now I'm reinstalling WM6.1 by helloworld1.
I don't know what to do.

Hi. I want to install the helloworld1 wm6 ROM. I have a rw6815. Originally it had an italian wm5 ROM and I changed it with an english ROM via hpRUU.exe thingie. On helloworld1`s thread he said that in order to uprgade to wm6 you have to downgrade your BootLoader from 1.05 to 1.01 with sp34053.exe. I tried that (PC/USB mode) and i got an error that said something similar to "your device it`s not a rw68xx ..." so i can`t uprgade to wm6 via PC. It`s there a way to downgrade my BL to 1.01? Can i upgrade with a 2 GB card? Thanks in advance guys!

Hi,
just put the eboot.nb0 included in the archive attached to this post in a miniSD card (I use a 128MB card to do upgrade) and reboot in boot-loader mode. I don't know if you can use a 2GB card... it cannot work.

Signing Diamond Radio ROM's as being Raphael's

Dear all,
Once again i start a thread referring to HEX code
If you have a security unlocked Raphael and yo wish to use a Diamond radio ROM [at least in Portugal it proved to be MUCH more effective] you can flash it by following two different procedures:
:: RAPHAEL SIGNED DIAMOND ROM'S REPOSITORY ::
1.00.25.05
1.00.25.16
:: QUITE EASY :: NOT SO FAST :: NOT SO SAFE ::
1. Flash your radio ROM via a Windows PC
2. Flash your radio ROM with the standard wrapper
:: MUCH SAFER :: QUITE FASTER :: NOT SO EASY ::
I. If you do not have a windows PC
II. If you want to be almost sure the flashing process will be smooth and with no trouble at all.
III. If you want to flash your radio ROM ensuring the process will be fast and clean
IV. If you are comfortable with HEX Editing
1. Open your nbh ROM file with a HEX Editor
2. Find the string value DIAM***** or the code 44 49 41 4D 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A [Byte 65 (Line 2)]
3. Change the string value to RAPH***** or to the code 52 41 50 48 2A 2A 2A 2A 2A [Byte 65 (Line 2)]
4. Save the file
5. Rename it after RAPHIMG.nbh
6. Place it on the root of your SD Card
7. Be sure to have at least 50% of battery charge
8. Boot the device into bootloader [Vol. down + Soft reset]
9. Follow on-screen instructions
NOTES
1. Even if your device is security unlocked, if you use a standard Diamond radio ROM, using the SD Card flash method you will get a device error.
2. If you sign the file as being Raphael's instead of Diamond's you will no longer get the above mentioned error and yet, you will get the correct radio version given the fact the code is exactly the same. Only the signing header changes
3. If you perform a binary compare you will see that the difference between the Raphael signed and the Diamond signed files is only 4 characters [DIAM / RAPH].
4. This process is quite fast and pretty straightforward
5. If you need any help or if you have any doubts please DO ask before you do anything. You can avoid quite some problems.
Good luck and cheers!
P.S. Tank you for your collaboration JCEspi2005
If you are not sure how use an HEX editor, this is another way to get a raphael flaseable file from a Diamond Radio NBH file...
First download the attached file, and extract in a folder. This package contains the NBHExtract tool to get the NB file from the Diamond NBH file, and the HTCRomTool.
1. When you have all files in the folder, first step is getting the radio NB file. Drag and Drop the NBH file into NBHExtract.exe to get the NB one.

2. Start the htcrt.exe file and in Build tab, select Raphael device and choose the radio NB file extracted in step before as show next image.
Press Build button and save the file as RUU_Signed.NBH and overwrite the old (diamond) one. Use this NBH file with Raphael CustomRUU to flash or use the SD card flash method described in first post.
Cheers

Cumprimentos.

Is the reverse also possible? Porting Raphael ROMS to Diamond?
By the way, why would one use a Diamond ROM... to me, it seems like asking for compatibility issues with your Raphael?
Ehm about that all TP are locked part. If you can flash a radio ROM your device isn't locked, correct?"If yes than I have to disagree with you on the locked part. I didn't unlock anything, except Hard_SPL that is. I thought it was the other way around. All original HTC TP are unlocked and all branded are locked.

mmm not sure about raphael radio ROMs, but perhaps the same with security unlock. about the "why", i come from Kaiser, and flashed many niki and neon radio ROMs on my Kaiser. So the answer for me is "and why not". You can test more radio ROMs and find a better one for you...

There are three locks on TP, SIM Lock, CID Lock and Security Lock (and really another one, regional Lock). You can flas a radio ROM only with hardSPL but you'll get in troubles...
Read this for more info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=2566863&postcount=28 and the whole thread...
Cheers
I read that thread. I wasn't trying to be ignorant when I flashed my Raphael. I read a few comments of people who got an error when flashing a locked Raphael, so I just assumed it wouldn't work if your device wasn't unlocked. Since I didn't receive an error whatsoever I again assumed my device was unlocked.
I took another look at the Wiki. It implies (maybe just to me) that a Raphael can be flashed with a radio just using hard SPL, but that a Diamond does need to be security unlocked. If not, I'm really curious what the "problems" might be. I went from .19 to .32 and am now using .28 without any problems (on my ROMeOS 1.40).

You could ask someone nicely to upload one they've edited and flashed succesfully and see if that works for you, have you got it working again yet or does it still go into the bootloader? If so grab an original Raph radio and flash that, it will load normally then.
B**** uu never gonna get it work unless have security unlock ....
as a sumup, three things to watch out for if you want to make a diamond radio nbh to flash on a touchpro...
- be security unlocked (not needed if you just want to flash radio signed for touchpro, i.e. not taken from diamond rom)
- in nbh tool, RAPH***** as modelid
- in nbh tool, 0x301 for radio nbh type, not 0x300

I think this is the problem, wil try again. where must i put the 0x301 code?
Yep i flashed an original Raph so it works for now but i am not charmed off the Raph radio's.
Before i had a Diamonddevice that was much better.
I've got a bit of a problem with the SD Flash Method, and I prefer to ask here, that creating a new topic.
OK, I'm trying to flash a Raphael ROM, so need to change anything in HEX Editor, I name the .NBH file RAPHIMG.NBH and put it on the SD card (a standard microSD 2GB Kingston, formated with StorageTools as FAT32 512 bytes sector (/fs:FAT32/a:512))I put the RAPHIMG.NBH on the SD card useing a card reader and go in Bootloader, and than it sais "No Image Found!".

I can't Flash my Iolite

Hi,
Sorry for bad English, but I'm a young Italian man!^^'
I've a problem with a my new telephone.
I've received it last week, and at the first moment I understand that it has a coocked ROM!
I dont' touch its ROM, but it's default!
Then, I starting to read "How to" in the web for this problem!
The telephone supporte GPS and FootPrint but it haven't them in!
I've finded this:
h ttp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552481]
But, the Hard SPL don't find the telephone...
Can you tell me how to do for this problem?
Mi esprmo in Italiano...
(FInalmente)...
ht tp://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=552481
Come posso fare?
Qalcuno sa darmi qualche suggerimento? (possibilmente in italiano!^^')
Vorrei installare questa ROM...

First make sure that you have successfully flash the Olinex HSPL
Code:
to confirm you got it installed, go into bootloader mode (tricolour screen!) and verify the screen shows 1.09.OliNex, which is the Hard-SPL version.
NOTE: you will not see the SPL version during normal boot, that is the OS version, not SPL!
to enter SPL to check version, fully power the device off by long press of power key, then
power on while holding the "volume down" key on the left side of the device. keep holding
the volume down key until you see tricolour screen which is the bootloader mode, then release it.
The message on above picture indicates that the device haven't successfully connected with the pc. The device must first connected with activesync or windows mobile center(vista, windows 7) before you run RUU utility.

You must first disconnect the device from usb cable. After power off the device by long pressing the power button, or remove battery. After the device is powered off, hold volume down button end press the power button. You must see a screen with red, green, blue and white colors and this text:

If you see another name in line SPL, then you probably didn't flash successfully the patched HSPL
I can't do it!
It says error!
When I run the software...
It says in Flash Mode that the mobile hasn't connected!
In Manual Mode it says that it hasn't answer!
Please, try to explain better.
If I understand well, you say that you cannot flash the patched HSPL.
So you didn't succeed to install olinex patched HSPL.
Is this correct?
Yeah...
I didn't succeed to install Olinex patched HSPL!
I've tried, also, on another PC, with Vista...
Same problem!
The Flash Mode don't run!
It says that the mobile isn't connected to PC!
In the Manuel Mode, it find the telephone. But when it patch, it says: Error...
What's the problem?
Sorry, I cannot help much, for HSPL errors. I advice you to try to read and follow currefully all given instructions and steps for installation first, and if you still have errors, then you must contact with cmonex(the author of HSPL application), who is the only one that can help you if all other fail.
And first make sure that you have an original Iolite and not a clone, cause if you have a clone, then this is the problem.

How can I understand if the mobile is original?
From where you took the device? Check device's box for Htc Logo, check for device's specifications start -> settings -> system for infromations about model IMEI and hardware(you can compare them with the specifications on http://www.htc.com/europe/specification.aspx?p_id=242). And you can try to register the device with your IMEI on htc.com(maybe you need to do it in different locations if you don't now from were the device come). If you can register, then you have an original device.

Flashing through SD
As you already noticed I renamed my nbh files into nikeimg.nbh instead of RUU_signed.nbh
The reason I did this is because you can now flash it through sd-card and flashing through sd-card is a saver way to flash your phone, I already did more then 100 flashes through sd-card without getting back to the original rom.
How does it work.
1. Copy the file nikeimg.nbh in the root of your sd-card.
2. Turn your device off.
3. Press camera-button and power-button on the same time, in your device you'll see "Loading.." followed by "NIKEIMG.NBH - SPLASH1 - SPLASH2 - OS -" and the message "Press power button to start update image"
4. Press powerbutton, in your device you'll see "Update in progress" after finishing, you'll see "Update Complete UPDATE SUCCESS"
5. Now do a softreset by putting the styluspen in the little hole next to the usb connection.
6. Now you're phone will do the flashing and you're done.

Sorry my fault, this-one is with the startmenu on top, and another volume slider.
Have fun,
Rataplan,
On both version when you go to the menu "Programs" where you can add shortcuts to programs it open a list of installed programs, to scrool down or up we must use the touch, the middle button doest make movement (up or down), is it normal or it can be improved?
regards

That's just because this software isn't made for our device, not sure if I can get it chanced but for now I'm rebuilding my kitchen just screwed it, when I tried to make a Polish rom.
Hope to fix my kitchen today and see what I can do with the scroll movement in Manila.
Greetz,
Between twins and twice, which is better regarding life batery and touch sensibility/phone "movement"?

This one is better for your battery, I have an old battery, it's 3 years old and I'm using it also for cooking and with this rom I can use my battery for aprox. 3 days when I have to recharge it, with my Twins rom I can use my battery almost 2 days then I have to recharge it, be aware that the place where I work has a bad signal so the most of the time my device is searching for a signal.
Personnaly I don't think there is any difference between the touch sensibility/phone movement.
Greetz,
Added Portugese

No, sorry this rom is not for videocalls, I made a few testbuilds but I'm not happy about the respons of the dialer, especially the losing of typing numbers frustrate's me.
I am working on a testbuild for a rom with 3G if I have fineshed that one I send you the link so you can test that one for me.
Greetz,
OK.
When ready to Burn send it...
I'm on travel, just Friday ill be at home, I just can test after Friday.
Hello everyone I have done for the first time I installed the hard spl version 1.22 then i installed this rom and it works fine.
Then I was going to install the radio (after I saw that I had to first install the radio) but now it gives me error when I start the file 1.65.30.12.exe .... me "connection error"
but is connected with active sync ...
You know what could be the problem?
recommended another radio version?
Thanks bye
Grazie ciao
@ Suondarden
Hi, buddy also noticed you have the same problem with the rom from salvy.c.83 so it must be something you are doing wrong, if you want to change your radio and it's not working, you can always flash an original rom first and then flash a cooked rom, all the original roms have a radio in the flash and the cooked versions don't.
HERE is the rom with radio 1.65.30.12, flash this one first and then a cooked version.
Greetz,
Hello you are right, it's me that was wrong with the procedure ... now everything works well, congratulations for the rom!
I have other 3 questions:
1) I can change the order of buttons on the home?
2) I read that some versions have problems with the videocall, is true?
3) I would change the 2 soft keys is that possible?
Hello and thank you!

Hi again, glad you fixed your problem.
Ok to get back to your questions,
1. Yes, just use M2DC see my reccomandations on the 1st page of this thread.
2. My roms don't have problems with videocall because I don't add it in the rom.
3. Take a look HERE.
Have fun,
Ok I fixed the perfect point 1 and 3
Sorry to bother you again but then the video can not be done in any way?
Do you know a program to make it appear as mass storage when connected to PC?
thank you very much!!!

Hi Suondarden, no the video can't be done in anyway, I will make one in a few days but that one will only be in English, all the 3G dialers I tried had the same problem so that's the reason I didn't use them but a few days ago d_train shared his videodialer with me so I'm gonna use his dialer.
It's hard to use our devices as a mass storage, I know d_train was working on that but I don't thonk he already finished it and I believe that sundream made a rom with mass storage in it.
Regards,
