WM 6.1 Still old Today Screen - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

I keep seeing the new Today interface with WM 6.1 and wondering why I still have the old style WM3-6 style. I can't find any settings to change to the new look.
I used RUU_TITAN_SPRINT_WWE_3.56.651.0_RS_3.42.02_SPCS2.04_PPST_0619_Ship.exe to upgrade from 6.0.
Sprint Mogul 6800
CE OS 5.2.1.19208 (Build 19208.1.0.1)
Rom :3.56.61.0
Radio:3.42.02
Where am I going wrong, are there newer "Offical" versions that I missed out on?
Thanks..

The "new look" panel interface is for Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard (smartphones WITHOUT touch screens) only.

Lol.. OK that would explain it..
Thank you

Manila 2D on WM6.1 Standard

Hi guys,
As mentioned in my subject, is there an non touchscreen Manila 2D for 6.1 ?
No, s740 has an almost standard WM SP HomeScreen
but it is use custom plugins
@Alexx_B: You are wrong.
@rubik: Please search before you post. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=435387&highlight=manila
im glad you brought this up.
we 6.1 standard users can run manila 2d. it wont be the default homescreen. and it takes some work to get it running. but when it is. its great.
the problem we have on our rose juno rom is manila requires 96 dpi on a wmstandard phone to operate correctly. The rose when set to 96dpi atleast in our juno rose rom the dlls can not handle it and we get white boxes at the top of the screen.
i have a set of sys files for s740 that is setup for 96 dpi but when i cab the dlls the phone freezes.
http://allshadow.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=3581 my thread at allshadow.com with instructions on how to install manila 2d.

No
s740 has an HTC Sliding panel theme (HTCSlidingPanel.home.xml)
it is same as default WM6.1 sliding panel, but use custom homescreen plugins like HTCWeather etc.
You can try rather Manila2D ports of course, but default theme is not Manila
He didn't ask if there is Manila by default. He asked if it is possible to run Manila on Windows Mobile Standard.
ShadowMike,
I am a little concern that your development has been on the Shadow whereas we are Rose users. As you mentioned, we need 96dpi for the M2D to work. Will 96Dpi work on a Rose ? I followed your thread and there has been some problems with 96dpi for other users. I am just worried that install it on my Rose will end up with a hard reset ;P
Btw, when are you going to dump the Shadow and use a real Rose

yes your right. i do need to get rid of this shadow.
you dont really have to worry about the dev being on the juno over the rose. because 1. all of my rom files are from the rose except for main drivers and chipset drivers. and the only thing i changed to hergs manila cabs was i took out the PPC HTC SETTINGS DLL as it caused the standard settings screen to not show up. and put a shortcut to manila in the start menu. everything else with manila is all original htc files.
also the 96 dpi has problems with newer builds of WM as the dlls for the old 96dpi is comprised of an older build WM. the good thing about my 96DPI hack is you can uninstall the cab and your rose/juno/vox/WMStandard phone will be back to 131 and you would never know that you had 96 dpi. what i do on my juno is ill run 96 dpi, restart then run manila. then when i dont want to run manila. i uninstall 96dpi restart and back to 131.
a cook for the meteor gave me his sys files for his rose 96dpi rom. but the dlls need to be cooked in as when i make a cab with the new 96dpi dlls the phone freezes and need a hardreset.
also on my instructions i added the landscape fix. so when you slide your rose open if using manila you should get the landscape screen. however i dont know if youll be able to use the dpad to use the landscape screen.
but. back to dumping the juno for a rose... im getting an x1 next week
this will help us get a 96 dpi on rose and juno. but unfortunatly http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2956927#post2956927

WM 6.5.5 on charmer

Can charmer using WM 6.5.5, and what the difference with wm 6.5.1?
for us the difference are:
Start button is on the bottom and the button is larger
There is a status pannel on the Today screen when tapping on the top of the screen
But I think that 6.5.1 is better (in some programs on 6.5.3 there are no buttons - tested on pocketrar; and some programs have smaller square and it is a Today background on the half of the screen)
And the last time I use WM6.1 because all programs work faster even if the amount of free RAM on 6.5 is grater
Oh, I will be happy if U understood me, my English is not so good as I've imagined...
Yes we can run 6.5.5 and I tried to port it some time ago.
But I wasn't able to find any really stable builds, so I keept using Build 28004, which is best till now for me.

6.1 menus with 6.5 UI

I've been having an issue with badly displayed menus in WM6.5 and have been advised to try this forum to see if anybody has developed a cab or reg tweak or such in order to run 6.5 but with the older 6.1 menus. If anybody knows anything about this I'll be very grateful for the information.
The discussion about the menu display problem is here.

im looking for the same thing im also useing duttys rom but i know there is a way as iv seen it in the energy rom any help would be grate i would also like to know
just to be clear, its nothing to do with the dutty rom you are using,,that is the standard behavior.
theres nothing wrong with duttys popup menu just was wondering if there was a way to make it work like the energy rom
i found this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=459125
but does not work as good as the one on the energy rom
ask in the energy rom, maybe the chef will point you at a cab.
it may even be listed in the first few posts, many chefs list their tweaks.
duttys new cdlc v12 has the menus from the bottem so its all good

HD2 sense setting tab incomplete

Hi, got an HD2, tmobile unlocked, the setting tab is missing the sound and display, wallpaper, etc., the only way to get to them is through winmo (menu-all settings), so i was wondering if there is any way i can get them back to use them with sense. thank you.
winmo 6.5
manila 2.5.2012
os version 5.2.21982
rom version 2.13.531.1 (90963) wwe
do you mean that the settings tab starts at 'security, application, sd card & phone ,,,,, blahblah?'
Because if so, put your finger anywhere on the screen, and ,,,,,
(wait for it)
,,,,,,,
drag the list in a smooth downwards motion,,,,,
for some reason the settings tab on some roms seems to default to displaying the bottom half of the list, many people have been caught out by this,.
HAHAHAHA Thank you so much, i feel stooopid, hahahaha.
hehe, ya not the first, nor will you be the last.
