(10/07/08) Proposed sticky roll up thread... VOTE!!! - JAMin, XDA Neo, S200 ROM Development

Given the success in other areas, I'm proposing a sticky rollup thread for the Prophet Mobile Six forum. Please vote to show your support/disapproval of the idea, and also post below any suggested posts...
Start here:
Windows Mobile 6 Directory For Dummies
Prophet Upgrade Guides and Tools:
Prophet Tools: Simplify Flashing--V2.8.3 now up!
Current upgrade guide for the most ROMs
Prophet Tools Light: Just the flash!
FLASHING TOOL For all nk.nbf (WM6.1), 3 color bootup? SOLUTIONS read post 1.........
Prophet ROM Kitchens:
[A070 RC2] NeoKit easy2use rom cook/modding tool
[NEW RELEASE] ◄ HyperCore Kitchen ► MULTIDEVICE !!!
l3v5y CC Kitchen Prophet 19213 01
Other things:
[ftp Server For Roms] On

i noticed the development & hacking section had done this, as in that area have to many new projects.
i'm not quite sure bout our prophet's windows mobile 6 section. new rom projects & newbies questions only.
maybe we can make new thread just for 'Questions & Answers' just like TweakMan do in the development & hacking section.
just my 2 cents

third! (after 2nd)
May be we can create a centralized spot specific in experience sharing ~~~ ??
How about make it in levels?
-green (preliminary - basic knowledge, cautions.......),
-red (intermediate - hot skills .....)
-Purple (advanced - hacks, tweaks, cooks......)
Our prophet may become a classic piece even 10 years after
Personal opinions only~~~~~

I think the main benefit of it would be a reduced number of stickies so things are easier to find!
A "Questions and Answers" thread would be good as well!

Sticky for Cooking Kitchens

This will hopefully turn into a sticky that will have nOOb instructions on how to cook a kitchen; thereby answering all of the basic questions on how to use DCD and others kitchens.
Post your best instructions here.

Hope so also since I am newb and trying to learn this also without f'ing up my phone too bad!
Yeah me too, I'd really like to read up and learn how to customize some of these great roms being released.

[Resources] Raphael goes Wiki

HTC Raphael Wiki Pages
The xda-developes wiki system is a (shamefully) under-used resource, lets change that shall we? The information is available to ALL users and naturally being a wiki everyone can contribute to it, details about ROMs and download links etc can be added when they appear and it is easy to use.
ALL new members need to take a read through it BEFORE asking questions since if it is a common topic you WILL find it in the wiki.
Common useful pages in the wiki include:
HTC Raphael for Beginners
HTC Raphael Images*
Raphael Tips & Tweaks
HTC Raphael Specifications
Model and CID FAQ
Software utilising the sensors in the Raphael
HTC Raphael Cooking Resources (CustomRUU, Kitchens etc..)
HTC Raphael OEM Packages
Rather than have an endless number of sticky threads containing the same information as in the wiki we actively encourage ALL members to use the wiki to its full potential, lets make an example of this forum and show the community in its best light.
Dont be scared of adding/editting information, its there for everyone so if something usefull is not in the wiki....add it!
Note:: we will be monitoring ALL changes so dont abuse the system. If there is a popular page which you think deserves a quick shortcut to in this sticky thread, PM a moderator to have it added. Enjoy people.
* Not yet in the wiki, perhaps somebody should add it?

ATTENTION all chefs

Hey Chefs,
Thanks for taking some time to read this.
In order to maintain this section better and to make it easier for new members, I request that you all follow the following Thread Naming conventions. Some of you already use them, which is awesome.
[ROM]
To indicate that the thread is in fact a rom. This has to be the first Tag for your title.
[LANG] (Not required for English ROMS)
Indicate the language of the rom if it is not English, preferably with 2-4 character mentions. If you carry ROMs with multiple language options, please use the tag [MULTILANG]
[REF]
Reference Threads
[REQ]
Requisition Threads
[TUT]
Tutorial Threads
Additional Tags
[GUIDE]
[DUMP]
[PROJECT]
For the time being, these are the only tags we need to get the forum organised. I might include more tags at a later time.
We thank you for cooperating with us and for all your hard work & continued support of XDA.
Your friendly neighbourhood mod,
NeoS2007

[MUST READ] PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING A NEW THREAD IN DEVELOPMENT !!!!!!!!!!!!

This thread has been created to let those who do not know what is allowed in development.
Things you CAN create a new thread for in Development
1. Roms (You created it or Ported it with permission)
2. Kernels (You compiled it and is GPL compliant)
3. System Dumps (Only one thread per new system dump) (First one wins the rest will be deleted)
4. S-Off Tool Kits (You created it)
5. Scripts (You created it)
6. If YOU created it you may post it
CREDITS
Credits must be given in your threads for whatever help you have received when creating something. If you port something then give credits and links to the where you ported it from. This goes for mods that you port as well. Permission must be given if you port a rom from another section. This is to prevent the originator from getting upset and there being a flame war between developers. We are all here for fun and as a hobby so lets all be friendly and do the right thing.
Things you may NOT create a new thread in Development for
1. Questions
2. Question
3. Roms YOU DID NOT create or port
4. Kernel YOU DID NOT create
5. S-Off Tool Kit YOU DID NOT create
6. Scripts YOU DID NOT create
7. Themes
8. Apps
9. IF YOU DID NOT CREATE IT OR PORT IT THEN DO NOT MAKE A THREAD FOR IT
Threads that are created that fall into the DO NOT CREATE list will be either deleted or moved. If you continually create new threads in the Development section that fall into the DO NOT CREATE you will start receiving Infractions or a Ban
PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL and know where the sections are.
GENERAL - is for general chat about the 3d
QUESTION & ANSWERS - This is for getting Questions and Answers
DEVELOPMENT - For something you CREATED
THEMES & APPS - For themes and apps that you have created, found or ported
I hope this finally puts an end to all the questions in the dev section.
yeah, It was getting very annoying when every zipmodder posts a rom with some custom wallpapers and stolen modded apks and some frameworks and calls it a ROM and then asks for donations !!
And please... No more "Coming soon" threads. Ubuntuz created one for JB on evo3d a couple of days for a rom that never came. I've always suspected him to full of crap. He's been saying that he's working on a mod to get the 3d camera working on AOSP since the beginning of the year. That never came. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt once. But c'mon.
Need confirmation/permission to start [INDEX] Thread.
As you probably know, we now have working camera for CM9!!!
Anyway, I am planning to make ONE [INDEX] thread that list all Kernels, Tweaks, Mods that I have confirmed to be working with CM9/AOSP. We don't really have much info on this as most of us didnt use CM because of the camera issue. Can I create this thread in Development? I take responsiblity to update it as frequently as I can. There maybe some apps in the list, simply because they use or run on CM9 Libraries.

Regarding these ROMS...

First of all just wanted to say Thanks so much for all your effort, it's truly amazing to see all you devs working so hard and generating all these ROMS.
My stupid questions is since I have a Bell SGS3(Canada) will these ROMS from this Dev section work on my phone or will it brick it??
Thanks a Bunch.
