has anyone got the file transfer working, i spoke to Menneisyys and he said that it works for some phones and not others, so i was just wondering if anyone got it working.thanks
works for me
It works for me (Windows XP and WM6.1 from Taxist) in both directions.
I just copied file from XP to my Advantage and from Advantage to XP
do you have spl 1.2 or spl 3.5. thanks for responding
I am using latest taxist's rom. It is for spl 3.5
anyone using this on spl 1.2... is it working for you.
Some additional info about how it works
I made RDP connection from my Advantage to PC running Windows XP SP2.
Run windows explorer on XP and it shows network drive named as “Files on HTC 7501”.
I clicked on it and explorer did not show any files or directories on this network drive !?
I decided to copy some file from local drive on XP PC to “Files on HTC 7501” drive.
Copy started and successfully completed. And explorer shows this file on “Files on HTC 7501”.
I renamed file using explorer and made copy it from “Files on HTC 7501” to local local drive on XP PC.
Copy started and successfully completed.
I terminated RDP client on Advantage and found that the directory with name FILTERS was created in main memory and
file which was just copied from PC is located in this directory. Pls note I did not created directory FILTERS myself.
It was created automatically and it was not shown in explorer on XP PC.
Explorer shows only file copied to “Files on HTC 7501”.
So in my case I am able to copy any file from XP PC only to PPC main memory and these files will be located in directory FILTERS.
If I need copy any file form PPC to XP PC, I need to copy it from any location on PPC to directory FILTERS on PPC.
And after that this file will be visible on XP PC as file located on network drive “Files on HTC 7501”

So why when I load a file like glaxon or the alarm clock on my windows machine its not a cab file its another type of file. When I go to open it, its in internet explorer and its a bunch of text.
When save it on my MAC it is a .cab file...
Am I doing something wrong?
Well, I'm sure you know that you're not supposed to run PPC cab files from the pc.
But normally, cabs are associated with winrar or programs of that sort on an XP/Vista machine.
Anyway, just copy the cab to PPC and see if it installs ok or not.

Hi
My network nas has a folder with the files .r01, .r02, etc (Note: .r01, .r02, etc files are needed to extract the one file inside them)
I want to extract the file from r01, r02 etc to the same folder in my nas drive using my android phone
I've tried a few programs clicked on r01 and they all save r01 to temp folder in phone but ask for location of r02 but doesn't let me search for r02
On my windows pc I just go in the folder right click on r01 and it extracts the file to the same folder no problem
if i copy all .r01, .r02, etc files to my phone i can extract the file but dont want to do that every time
anyone know of an app?
thanks for the help
Hello,
I am facing a problem and maybe you can help me.
How can i access a folder within the SDcard of Bluestacks with my Windows Explorer?
For example: I have a folder directing to and called SDcard/Games and I want to transfer files from the Windows Explorer directly to THAT specific folder and not by using the SharedFolder.
The thing is that on Regedit you can change the Key defining the Path Bluestacks accesses files on your PC in Windows Explorer, but there is no way to change the pre-defined Path which directs from the PC (Windows Explorer) to Bluestack's SharedFolder.
Basically I just want to set my own Path to which my files I transfer from Windows Explorer to Bluestack are send and not the one that comes with installation (SDcard/windows/SharedFolder)
Bump
Rooted Nexus 6, running the final stock ROM, and TWRP recovery, no problems here.
I have Android File Transfer up and running and it sees my device and I can see the SD/storage folders that AFT allows. No problems here.
I want to transfer a hidden file that you need a root file explorer to find, to my Mac. I have a root file explorer and found the file I want to transfer. I used TWRPs file manager to put it in the "downloads" folder of SDCARD, so I can see it in Android File Transfer. So far so good. No problems here either.
Problem: When I try to drag that file to my desktop, it blocks me and I get an error window saying: "couldn't not replace file" in the top line of and "could not copy file blah blah blah.epub However, when I try to drag other files to from that folder to my desktop, I have no problems. Just these particular ones.
It is a Barnes and Noble Nook e-book file that I dug out of the hidden folders of the app using a root explorer. But something is blocking me from copying it from my phone's SD, downloads folder to my desktop.
Any ideas?
