Hermes/Softbank internet/mail button - 8525, TyTN, MDA Vario II, JasJam Accessories

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to fix my brother-in-laws Hermes. He droped it in the car and ran over it with the car seat trying to get it out. I have had to change the flex cable, and couple of parts. The internet button is warped and badly bent and causing some of grief in reviving it. I tried a heat gun to bend it back, but to no avail. I can't seem to find one anywhere.
Does anyone have one? I'm in Ottawa, Canada. Any help would greatly be appreciated.
Thanks.

Dropped it, lost Sound

Hi
I just dropped my xda , and I seem to have lost all sound since then. Therefore cant use as a phone anymore .
I plan to take it to a well known phone repair outlet hereabouts, but since this is an entirely different piece of equipment it would probably help if they had a circuit diagram or something, with pointers as to what to look for.
Would anyone be able to help out with this, so that I can then take it to these guys with some indication as to what they should look for and where it is likely to be?
ANY help is welcome.
Hi,
I have had this problem but without dropping it  just using it regularly like a MP3 player in my car thru the jack connector on it (same thing if you are using offten the headphone :?: ). So my problem was on the jack and I fixed it myself with a shortcut, and sence then my sound volume has become even better, suppose it vas galvanized a bit before :?
All the best

I finally killed my Blueangel I did it! HELP!

Well after 1 year of use and abuse.. i manage to produce the first phisical damage to my Blueangel
Just received a Car mount with external speaker and while fiddling with it the suction cup lost grip and the whole thing fall off the table (1mt +or-)
Well the mini jack for the hands free (which at that time had connected an enormous plug to convert 4pins 2.5 mm to 3.5) got torn off from the soldered points and was completetly loose... So hands on i managed to open the darn beast with a jewler tool set and much to my relief the 10 pin's connector (only god knows what they're for) has enough space to use my soldering iron to fix it back...
The problem was that one of the contacs in the board got torn off and for much i tried to recreate i think i didnt succeed as i only have audio from the headset now and not from the phone itself...
I am posting as maybe one of you guys could provide a connection diagram for the darn think so i can try to isolate the problem.
Please dont let me down...
Cheers

Sounds like you've a short in the connections for the microswitch *inside* the headphone jack - this is there to detect heaphones being inserted and switch the mode over. I would think default state isn't hot so a short would seem the logical answer.
edit - possibly the headphone jack's microswitch itself is broken?
Richard
That's why i need a diagram....
Yeha that's what i think, If i knew the pin out i could try to override the short....
i did a long research and it isnt posted anywhere....
Please help!!!!
I know that when u insert the jack in the hole it "pushes a lever that overrides external sounds... i just need to know which is !!!
Found solution... see there...

[Q] Just a thougt, fractal antenna.

Has anyone tried fitting a fractal antenna to the back of their TP to help with wifi issues? If so, does it do any good? is this a dumb question? Please share.
Thanks in advance.
Lots of things were tried in the following thread...

It seems that any antenna right up against the aluminum back did not accomplish much.

[Q]Mic issues on UK SIII

Hi all,
Not been on here for a while and sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Wife has dropped her Galaxy S3, then kids decided to help it with water.
Replaced the cracked glass, cleaned everything with alcohol and now phone looks fine and screen works, back keys work (after a few attempts).
But i have two issues remaining and i thought i would see if your experience can help me out with whether i should give up and sell for parts or there's something i'm missing.
Nothing coming through on the Mic, even if i connect a 3.5mm headset. Tried to go with a bluetooth headset as a workaround but it couldn't even find my Plantronics M55.
I'm not sure if the Mic issues started after the accident or after the recent OTA update
Any suggestions/pointers would be appreciated.
Factory reset has also been done to rule out the junk she installs on it
Thanks in Advance

Headphone Jack won't go all the way in

Well, all of a sudden the headphone jack won't go all the way in, which means I can't use headphones anymore. Has anyone else had the same issue or any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks
Dude, blow some pressure air on it. Maybe is something stuck in the jack. I had the same issue on a Xperia phone. Is was a small stone stuck in the jack port.

I tried to blow pressure air on it, I tried shaking it, I took a small twig and tried "fishing" for stuff and nothing works.. Now I tried with a screwdriver and ta-dah, a little piece of fabric somehow got in there and got very compact and now it's all back to normal
I recommend toothpic for this, you won't scrach anything. Had this once. I think it happens because headphones are on top so when you slide your phone into the pocket, everything you have there can land in the port.
