I just upgraded the bootloader on my phone from 1.04 to the 2.4 in order to upgrade the rom. After the bootloader upgrade finished however, my phone will not boot back into the OS. Each reset brings me right back to the bootloader screen. How do I proceed?

Each rom flash starts with opening an activesync connection.... I cannot get the OS to load. would the exit bl fix this?
You can download a GPS compatible radio and a GPS compatible ROM and flash them from SD card, this is actually very easy to do. Once they are both flashed on the phone, then you can flash whatever GPS compatible rom you want via Activesync. For now tho, since it won't boot, the SD card is your best option.
They end in .nbh, so look around, there are 2 posts one for the latest radio and one for DCD's latest rom, both should have links to .nbh files, and if not, you can rename the RUU file out of the DCD rom and then copy it to your SD card.
There are dozens of tutorials on here, just do some searching and you'll be ok.

Thank you so much for your help! I spent a couple hours looking around. Copied the radio .nbh to the SD, let it load, reset, copied ROM .nbh to SD, let it load, reset. and I'm up and running.
Thanks again.
Glad things worked out.

I am running:
SPL-2.40.Olipro
3.35 radio
dcd 3.0.1 rom
I have the verizon xv6800.
I have lost connectivity between PC to phone via USB. Verizon is sending me a replacement.
Is there a way to get it back to stock using a micro SD card (bootloader, radio, rom)?
If not I plan on sending "as is" once I get me replacement--don't really want to do this.
Thanks in advance

Have you simply lost connectivity to Activesync? Have you tried another PC? Do you not hear the 'add new hardware' chime when connecting your device? Can you boot into the OS? Can you not flash your phone via the SDcard method to another 2.40 bootloader using ROM? Have you failed in attempting the Wiki Downgrading instructions -- particularly using the Titan relocker?

Here is the answer:
1. Format your MicroSD card to FAT32
2. Extract the .NBH you desire to flash (use winrar) from the exe or zip and put it on the microsd card, rename it from RUU_signed.nbh to TITAIMG.nbh
3. Put the MicroSD card in your phone reboot to the BOOTLOADER screen (camer+power+reset) it should then start updating with the .NBH on the SD card and the procedure should begin automatically.

I think if he uses the sd card method above he will have problems. my understanding is that the stock rom will freak out with olipro 2.40. What he really needs to find out is if it is possible to relock without his USB port functioning. then the sd card method will work to flash a stock rom.
on a related question to the one asked by the OP, can a whole ROM be flashed using an SD card, including the radio? I think I read in the past that flashing radio firmware via SD was very difficult and troublesome...
Like maccaberry mentions, will the stock rom "freak out with olipro 2.40?" Is is possible to flash stock rom and relock from micro SD card?
I have tried several USB cables/PCs and it is just not activesync--troubleshooted with Verizon for 2 hours, the problem appears to be hardware related.
After creating this thread I did read up a bit on the wiki, and was going to try using instructions there, but the part about "the stock rom will freak out with olipro 2.40" has me a bit hesitant to flash stock. If I don't get a solution to update bootloader from micro SD, once I get my replacement and activate it I might try flashing to stock even with olipro 2.40--I am sending it back so if it does get messed up I just have to hope verizon does not come back knocking on my door.

You still haven't stated whether or not you hear a chime and/or see a change in the hardware devices list on your PC when your OS is loaded on your phone if you and you plug it into your PC.

Via the SDcard method, try to flash your device to another 2.40 bootloader using ROM. So that you don't need to be concerned over radio incompatbilities (if you do have the correct 3.35 radio installed for your DCD 3.0.1 ROM) you can try to reflash again with a build from DCD or a ROM with my kitchen. Or you can try one of the older OS/3.16 radio ROMs which also use 2.40. Each of the OS and radio ROMs can be flashed from the SDcard.
I'm sorry, but I wasn't clear in my first post that you do need an active USB connection to change the bootloader and that is why I asked if you could boot into the OS, heard your PC chiming on new hardware connected, or had attempted to reflash your phone to another ROM (or same ROM again) via the SDcard. Also, have you tried a hard reset on your phone?
The issue may be hardware but more than likely it is a software problem on your device or PC.

Yes, any ROM portion should be able to be flashed via that method. On multiple times I have flashed a separate radio ROM without issue.

Keystone thanks for you help...I did do the Device manager check...nothing. Several hard resets were done (memory card in/memory card out). I will try you suggestion about trying a different ROM (or same ROM again) that is made for 2.40. My radio is 3.35.04.
Is it a true statement that the Verizon stock rom/radio will NOT work with 2.40?--I could try this but like I said before I am a little nervous since I know I can't fail over to using USB to PC to help my situation.
You need to flash via the SD card as they say. Put whatever version ROM that goes along with your current radio version. Then once you get it up and running you should be able to connect via activesync and run Titan Relocker to get the 1.30 SPL loaded and 2.40 removed. Then you have a choice to leave it stuck there and return it like I done with one once, or you can flash the stock ROM and radio. There is a chance you can do that from the SD aswell incase your pc fails to pick it up again while in bootloader mode. You'll have to get someone elses input on if that part will work or not.
By the way, the stock ROM isn't your real worry. It's the 2.40 bootloader that will get everyones attention. So you really need to go ahead and properly flash and hope activesync will connect.

You CANNOT flash a stock (verizon signed) rom with 2.40 period. You must relock the phone back to the stock bootloader, and only then can you flash the verizon signed roms.
Key,
You seem to be the expert with SD flashing. Maybe you know a mehtod he can use to get the bootloader on without USB. What I fear is that his USB hardware is fried. In that case, even a flash of a olipro 2.40 compatible rom is still leave him stuck where getting back to stock is concerned. I notice that the bootloader uses a similar software as the roms for loading onto the device. Is is possible to get a bootloader loaded via sd card. I have a feeling it is not possible because the olipro's all use a two step process.. 1st they load a soft (temporary) SPL and then 2nd they load the hard SPL. I have read elsewhere (by ImCoKeMan) that you should not try to run the unlocker via RUU so I assume SD flash version would also not work.
Hens,
If Key cant help us here you might want to pm ImCoKeMan over at ppcgeeks and ask him if the relocker can be loaded via SD card.
Do you have insurance? The device might have an accident with a drop from a 3 storey building that will erase the bootloader altogether..
Finally, you could donate the device to Madman34. He is looking for bricked phones for JTAG experimentation. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2019937#post2019937
I was looking into that before I posted my other reply. The one concerning thing about that is when I decompile the titanrelocker.exe file there was a relocker.nb and a 1.30 spl nbh file. I'm pretty sure both are needed, then again I could be way off base. The cool thing would be to get that relocker.exe to run on our mobile device. If that would work it would be easy to set up the SD card to autorun it once WM booted up.

Ok, I am going to get flamed I am sure... but I was trying to update to the 3.39 radio on my Tytan earlier today. I previously had the 3.35 radio and DCD's 3.12 ROM on there (using olipro2.40). I followed the directions on the forums best I could, and reflashed from 2.40 to 1.20 in the olipro. Now it is just stuck there. I cant reflash it to 2.4 or anything? Also everyone keeps talking about the RUU for the radio to flash it, but I have searched for two hours and cannot find a simple post about where I am supposed to find this program. Just a billion mentions of the RUU folder... which doesnt help me at all.
I just went ahead and reloaded the dcd 3.12 rom using olipro 1.20 and it looks to be booting, but this still doesnt help me with the radio issue... ( the SD card option will not work for me either.) Thanks for any help

RUU stands for Rom Update Utility. I have heard that flashing a radio ROM using a RUU with Olipro 2.4 is problematic. The SD card method is much better and easier. Can you get into bootloader? (power/camera/reset)
...
I have been able to get back to everything the way I had it before (as far as ROM and olipro version) and I can get into bootloader, but I dont have a compatible sd card.

If its up and running as before I would buy/borrow a SD card and update your radio that way. Why can't you use the SD card method?
Ooops...just saw that you don't have a compatible card. The microSD card in your phone will work fine if its not SDHC.
I dont have a card reader or access to one in order to format the card and put the file in the root.

Sorry I don't have another idea...I wouldn't attempt any further radio mods until you can get a SD card with the radio ROM on it. Too risky you might muck up your phone and at least now its working. If I remember correctly its the newest 3.x radios that were causing problems when being flashed with a RUU on Olipro 2.4. Perhaps one of the senior members has an idea.
I accidentally flashed the titan using olipro 1.2, and the new unlocker, and I cannot get past the verizon boot screen. This is a fresh new 6800. when I start it it says:
p DCAAXAM-4350
R 3.42.30
D 2.17
The bootloader screen says Tita100 spl-120.olipro
the only way I can flash is via the sd card. I cannot connect via activesync.
how do I fix it?
this is a warranty replacement, so I need to get this to work before I restore my old 6800 to factory settings, and return it to verizon
thanks

Can you not put the phone in bootloader mode (power+camera+reset) and connect via USB? Even though activesync doesn't see it, it's still possible for RUU updater to connect. I had a similar problem before. Try doing this and putting Hard_SPL 2.4 on it.
Look at section II on this wiki... it says if you have 1.20 olipro... flash to an older rom and radio... WIKI
Snippit.... " if it is 1.20 then you have the pre-GPS ROM bootloader and must first flash to one of the older ROMs and associated radio to boot into WM, get an ActiveSync connection and then upgrade to 2.40. "

Hes right, you need to load an old pre-GPS rom on your phone, then upgrade. I've had this happen myself.
Yes, this is what I saw too, however, all the roms I found on this page http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=TitanOtherHome for the olipro 1.20 take me to an internal server error on fileshex.com. I can't find any rom file that I can actually download. Does anyone have a link to one or can you upload it? I suppose it doesn't matter which one it is, since I'm going to upgrade from there.
I just cooked an old 1.6.7 rom for you...wow did it bring back old memories.
Download 1.6.7 rom here: http://www.cinconet.org/titan/dcd 1.6.7 Rom.zip
Download 1.30.60 radio here: http://www.cinconet.org/titan/Titan Radio 1.30.60.zip
Put radio .nbh on the root of the card with a card reader. Force phone into bootloader and flash radio first. When it completes, remove the microsd card and replace the radio .nbh with the rom .nbh with the card reader. Insert the card again, force bootloader, and flash the rom. Remove the card and soft reset.
WOOOOOOOOT!!! it worked! Thanks gc14 for the files and awesome instructions!
Hey guys, this is my first post but have been doing research for a long time(weeks) to gain knowledge.. I followed the instructionson wiki for flashing to
Radio Rom 3.42.50 using micro sd and Rom 3.2.6 . I uploaded the bootloader to nueSPL-2.47.exe no problem. but after the radio Rom was loaded it is stuck on the screen.. Im not sure how to use the titan_exitbl.exe. at this point.. please help, thanks
oh by the way, I am unable to connect to ActiveSync. I will not recognize a device being connected.
Two things to try..... 1 pull the battery out for 10 or so seconds then try to start it again.... if that fails.... load a newly cooked version of 3.2.6
I'll give that a try when I get home from work. Thanks I hope the cooked ROM works. So I pretty much go through the step again of loading it on my micro sd and press power+camera+reset right.
yep.... I've personally found it better to load the ROM after the Radio... It sounds like you already have the radio squared away so it should just be a matter of loading a ROM.
Still having problem loading up ROM. did I use the wrong bootloader? when I get to the tri screen it reads TITA100 SPL-2.47noChem Titan SPL EVT CPLD-9 am I bricked?
Did you remove your micro SD card before you did power-camera-reset to flash your ROM? I assume you are trying to flash your ROM using the USB cable right? You may have a titan.nhb file on it, that the bootloader is trying to flash.

this is where I went... Is there a way I can flash ROM dcd 3.2.6 using micro SD? it seems like thats what I need to do next.
I'm in the same state. I just got my replacement xv6800 from Verizon. My old one was flashed long ago to SPL 2.40 and various DCD roms over the past 8 months.
I didn't remember the whole process I used back then. I used the wiki to flash the new one and got the process out of order. I did the SPL 2.40 first and then the radio, both using USB. Now I am stuck at the VZW logo.
I updated the wiki.
It sounds to me like you are doing ok.
I recently had to replace my phone and basically what I did was load the NueSPL on the SD card and ran it. Once I soft-reset, I confrimed that I had the correct bootloader and it appears you do.
Next I loaded the radio file onto my Microsd card and renamed it to TITAIMG.nbh. I then hit the Power, Camera, Reset to get into the bootloader and it should auto install the radio, which I belive it has for you. Once you reset, the phone will most likely show the VZW spach screen as the new radio is not compatible with the old VZW ROM that is still on the phone.
SO the next step, it to remove the radio file off the MicroSD card and load the ROM file onto the microSD card, again, this needs to be called TITAIMG.nbh. Place the card back into the phone and hit the Power-Camera-Reset button again and the rom should now load. Once it says its complete, reset your phone and you should be in business.

the correct order is
SPL 2.47
Radio ROM
OS ROM
Carrier Cab
Trouble is if you can't replace the TITAIMG.nbh file on your SD Card.
I thought the correct order was:
Radio 3.x Minimum
SPL 2.47
Radio ROM required by Custom OS
Custom OS ROM
Carrier Cab
If you have NueSPL working with a 2.x radio, perhaps the the information on no2chem's site is just referring to the ReLocker?
Anyway, I updated the Common Problems wiki with blancmik's info.

Thanks blancmik and necromis.
I had to wait until I got home to pull out my 1GB microSD card and reader. I was able to flash the radio and a ROM.
I did it the following way and it is booted up to WinMobile 6.1.
SPL 2.47
Radio ROM
OS ROM
When I did all this 8 months ago I used USB. I like the microSD upgrading way much better.
Glad to hear that it worked out well for you. The first time I ever flashed was also via USB. After I understood the MicroSD method I've never looked back!

DCD releases his ROM on his site as a self extracting installer. In order to get to the actual ROM, I usually open the .exe with winRAR (winzip) will also work, and extract the RUU_signed.nbh file out, which is the ROM. That's what needs to go on your SD card renamed TITAIMG.nbh.
Just Download the first rom availible from htc.com and install it. Mine was RUU_Leo_HTC_NLD_1.48.404.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship and after installing i used HSPL2 to go back to hspl 2.08.0000
Good luck
that didn't work for me
Pleas sir be aware that the use of HSPL on latest stock ROM 3.14 reduce your available free program memory to +/- 50MB!!
I always just use the SD card flash method. Download official ROM from HTC.com, extract it using WinRAR and then rename the .nbh file to leoimg.nbh. Copy this leoimg.nbh file to an empty microSD card and insert it into the phone. Turn off the phone, and then turn it on while holding down the volume down button. Your phone will go into the bootloader and ask you whether you want to flash the rom. Confirm this and you're good to go.
Easy, effective and pretty much failsafe. It will simply install the SPL that was included in the ROM, allowing you to re-apply HSPL or whatever you prefer.

I have the HTC HD2 TMoUS with the most recent stock rom (3.14.5xx) but for some reason the spl is still 2.10 rather than 3.03. Does anyone know how I can get spl 3.03 so that I may run android on the phone (I have tried searching, but have not been able to find anything).
