i got my from xxxxxxxxx.co.uk came in a sealed box copy that?
1st when i tried to dump the original rom it sed the device is software locked oooopppppsss what a hell ??? after i succeeded to flash wth my custom rom i kind a strange device i can flash radio rom and os image but i can't dump from the device when i enter the tricolor screen no version info there. the device is HTC Touch Pro T7272 anyone some suggestion am i got a demaged eeprom or some kinda MFG test device get to me

You can unhide using TComander but when you delete, it appears again after softreset. As far as I know there is very complex to change it for Ameo (is not a tweak as for universal)
Athena ExtROM unlocking is possible.
Whether or not it's going to be possible for me to allow guys to unlock your ExtROM is another matter.

I have no doubt you probably found a way, but I am not sure why PPL would want to mess with it when we have so much storage now. I understand why were craving for it on the Hermes. Without the Extended ROM, I have a little over 12GB of Storage.

Because with access to the extrom we have more control of a hard reset and could autoinstall something like WIMP in case the unit gets nicked by a clever thief.

I know this is a subject that has beaten to death but I just noticed this:

Could a ROM be extracted from a video driver enabled device (6500?) and applied to a Titan? It seems like it could be with all the talent in the posts that have been giving us WIN6.1 and GPS radio months in advanced.
What are the opinions of the experienced members? Are there any specific problems that would make this impossible?
I am posting this because last night I tried to view this site on my titan and after 5 min of frustration I gave up.

I think it will be sometime in the near future.
Watching the way things trickle from rom to rom around here I can see it happening. It does depend on getting a good driver ROM and dump of that rom though... I do see it in the future... question is how far away is the future?

It appears that the benchmarks of the 6500 were either fake or HTC pulled a bait and switch with the review unit. Even production models don't perform that well.

If you read more of that thread No2Chem is working on a partial Direct Draw fix, not video drivers. The video drivers are still not available.
...which rom wasn't supposed to be posted publicly but some moron did so. :sigh:
so post your problems here - or if they are in the more serious category then read below. they'll get fixed sometime.
note that by default we need time for more important things than fixing devices that got screwed up with the prerelease crap.
still you can get help here if we get the time.
anyway, there are two main types of "bricks"
- device with interrupted flashing attempts to AP4, then reflashed AP3, AP4 flashed finally, which has resulted in dead wlan (wifi won't turn on). in this case, if you can, please post your old MAC too (sometimes found on the inside of the battery door), if you can't, then post the MAC of another wlan device nearby, a slightly changed version of that will be flashed back to your athena. because the wlan unbricking file has to be unique for everyone, get on IRC or PM me or Olipro to get it fixed, and hope we have enough time soon - you can negotiate with Olipro to allocate some of his time to you. (though after releasing the *final* AP4 we probably will have more time anyway.)
- interrupted flash, with invalid model ID after trying to flash another rom (AP3 or anything) on it. this is the worst type of brick (wlan is corrupt too, of course). again, get on IRC or PM me or Olipro to get it fixed, and hope we have enough time soon - you can negotiate with Olipro to allocate some of his time to you. (though after releasing the *final* AP4 we probably will have more time anyway.)
- and one last type that isn't really a brick: interrupted flash, device won't boot to OS, but you are able to reflash AP3 (and wifi and all works ok). ---> so, if your device has just got to black screen after unsuccessful flash with prerelease AP4, and you're not sure what to do: flash AP3 back and see if everything is fine. in this case please wait for final AP4 after you got AP3 back on it.
AND ONE REQUEST: if you got such a "brick", let me know if you were using a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.

Mine is the first type - Got AP4 but no WiFi - I don't want to take you away from the real work so reply when / if it suits you.

Agreed. Everyone should have known it wasn't an official release...especially if they downloaded and used 3.0. They know how our ROMs are released and to install something that's leaked is done at your own risk and dime.
Now, we're hoping to finalize this stubborn SPL and remove the final bugs shortly. This is a GREAT DAMN ROM!!!!

Dear cmonex,
I had this kind of a problem. Maybe nice to know that my phone also went in a boot loop when I went back to AP3.0. That's why I use the second pre released of AP4.0 from IRC.

Sounds like you have bricked your phone big time.
Where on your Raphael does it say Diamond or Athena, all unlockers are device specific.
Can you enter the bootloader at all?

NO i can't enter bootloader. I can't even power up. I was testing unlocker programs and I found a program called "diamond unlocker". I thought I give it a shot and next thing you know the phone blanks out. Hard-reset doesn't work because I can't even power up.
I knew this thing cooking thing was playing with fire. What should I do now?? Stressing out big time.

Hmm ok i will sidestep the "what were you thinking flashing a diamond unlocker to your raphael when your device is NOT a diamond" lecture and simply state that you have most likely messed up your device totally...unless there is something olipro/cmonex can do to help you you have a paperweight.

Its been stated here so many times, read the instructions before you flash/do anything...
Warranty the device, maybe they dont realize what you did...
You can also admit that you didnt donate for the unlocker...
My phone was already unlocked before I install the offending program. And No I didn't download it from a torrent site or illegal warez site.

Maybe I can offer a little help, I don't know the Fuze yet, won't have one for a few hours, but I had some great success unbricking hundreds of Tilts & this led to a cooperative project ending with Jocky putting everything learned into FrankenKaiser.
I will take a look at the firmware when I get my device, after much research of course, & let you know what I think. It may be a tedious project though as it might require a redio hack to allow DL mode to be entered from OEMSBL.
Oli, Viper & Jockey are all great resources, but they get a lot of PM's so it may take some time. Once I get a feeling for it & you answer a few questions for me, I can then go to them with more than just symptoms.
Be patient & we'll get it working as we've done for hundreds of Kaiser owners.

unfortunately there is no access to download mode on diamond and raphael and any newer devices.
the USB interface is simply disabled, we don't know how to get around that - yet.
the other thing is, on new radios (HD, xperia, G1, etc...), the radio is locked for flashing. kaiser radio wasn't supposed to allow flashing unsigned code either, just HTC left a nice bug in the rsa check.
trust me the kaiser was heaven compared to the days now... but we like challenge don't we
so this device is a brick - he can RMA it or jtag it.

Do you happen to know how that one is different from the current version? I like using touchflo and I've been paying attention to the 2.5 discussions that took place here because I find that version really useful. I would like to have something similar, not so much for the animations(I think that's why that version requires 3d accelerator), but for the shortcuts on the home tab that appear after you flick the watch. I also like the calendar tab. And I think those features could be somehow ported to the mega existing manilla because it seems only logical to me that they don't need aditional graphical processing power. What do you think?
