My phone is I-mate k-jam (kind of G4).I unlocked my phone’s CID by hard SPL program from your website . I could not install phone’s original rom. Then I installed original rom by shelltools program. My phone is not operated after hard resetting. When I switch on my phone, it stopped in three-colored page. Please be kind enough to conduct me.

What is the SPL version?
Invalid Vendor ID means it's not CID unlocked..
So you need the original i-mate ROM obviously. Not the HTC/Qtek ROM..
BTW.: Soft SPL doesn't work in bootloader, it needs WM 5/6 in order to load the Soft SPL.
Connect USB cable, kill wscecomm.exe (in PC's taskmanager) and start the RUU.
Forget the warning the Ruu tells you about having an active activesync connection. Flash the original iMate ROM.

You haven't got Hard SPL.
So only way to flash is original ROM (in original Language it came with).

I explain my problem more accurat. I downloaded Soft SPL accompanied by Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip after reading topic of How To Remove HardSPL and according teaching I transferred nk.nbf file from Vodafone Qtek 9100 G4 IPl&SPL.zip file to Soft SPL file .Then I wanted to perform Start-sSPL.exe file but I could not perform. Then I found Soft SPL is not operated in Bootloader.Then I performed 2.exe (ROMUpdateUtility MFC Application) file in Soft SPL file accidentally. I thought it is being installed. After accomplishment I found my phone’s spl has turned from olip to 2.17.0001.So I wanted to install original ram but I couldn’t install. It is installed wm6 on my phone completely now but it is stopped in spl page. I think I could not remove my phone’s hard spl completely. Please be kind enough to help me.

I was trying to make upgrade from wm5 to wm6,and was looking in tutorial xda-developers > Prophet > Prophet mobile 6> New WM6 Upgrade Guide. First,I found a Upgrade_HardSPL_G4.rar, and did what was said in tutorial,copy the 3 files from the jumpspl.zip to the root directory of your Prophet and then unplug / disconnect Prophet,Execute the SPL.lnk IN THE DEVICE, then you see Prophet in all bright or white screen,Execute the ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4 (I have a g4 device) to upgrade hardspl. I got message that my update utility was old and that I need new. Then I restarted device,just run ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4 from the hardspl folder and instalation went smooth,pda restarted and worked well. Then I went back on xda-developers > Prophet > Prophet mobile 6> New WM6 Upgrade Guide,found this sentence: ''Step 3 and 4 are necessary only if the WM6 rom you have downloaded instead of nk.nbf has os.nb file and the ExtROM folder'', and as I downloaded wm61_korand_3_1.rar that contains only nk.nbf file,I put it in Update_Package\Update Utilities,and run ROMUpdateUtility_NV_G4 fron that folder. The instalation finished and pda booted in bootloader. After that I tried flashing Shadow My Edition 2,no DualSIM,and followed the instructions to recover pda from wiki/ prophet recovery(downloaded PDAMobiz_Prophet_WM6_V1.00_Step1),everything was the same,always bootloader. Are you sure your device is a G4?

If you can enter bootloader, the device is recoverable.

Same Issue
I face the same issue.. have tried hard reset, hardSPL and downgrading to WM5 ROM.. only the downgrade is working.. but every time I try to upgrade to WM6 it enters RGB screen.. have tried with atleast 5 WM6 ROM... any senior member to help pls.

What is the SPL of your device?
When recovering to WM5 you better NOT use the Mobis step 1. Any other step 1 or NVID will be fine. The Mobis ROM is too manipulated for flashing their own WM6 ROM. It will give all kinds of problems when it is used for other purposes.
I tried recovery with RUU_Prophet_220734_2207114_024721_QtekWWE_Ship.exe
and it reported error,saying that it's only for upgrade. Where to find NVID

dioxda2,I have read your thread. This is what I know at the moment,and what I think it should be done (correct me if I make any mistake):
-my pda boots in bootloader mode
-it shows on screen IPL:2.58.0001, SPL:2.58.0001
-it's G4 model
-it has no hardspl on it
First one wild shot:
1. Download this jumpspl http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=329147
2.follow the instructions,and instead nk.nbf file from desired rom I put a nk.nbf file found in hardspl rar archive to the SoftSPL folder ,and hopefully flash hrdspl.
3.from bootloader flash any desired wm6 rom with RUU
Second solution:
1.download PVTemp
2.try to flash it from bootloader
3.if it's ok,then on to the next step like on your page one for old method.
Is there something else,diferent way to do this from bootloader?

Hi there ~~~~ tell you what~~ ^_^
1. there are 2 ways to upgrade
a. " New " Method.
b. " Old" method.
2. for more update rom flashing.... better have you device hardSPL.
then you can go by 3 means to flash....
1. straight upgrade that is: connect to PC via activesync, activate RUU right ahead ( I don't like this method as sometimes will stuck @ bootloader,
2. copy the 3 files from the jumpspl to the prophet's root directory then activate manually...
3. force bootloader ( by manually buttons combination and not reboot in 3 color hang )...
then 2 and 3 is fine, ( 3 is more convenience though), you should see " USB " at the bottom prophet screen if you did things right. ^_^,
then flash...... ^_^
This is my [size=+2]little handmade tool [/size], a combination tool with Taiwan Cook - YouZii and XDA cook - Korand,
just unzip, execute the " UPGRADE.cmd " , the some on screen clicks, wait and done. !!!
Don't forget to hardSPL before so. OK?

Yesterday i want flash my device to wm6. actualy I have g3 device, and my spl stil lates rom from packaging. Mayby i chose the wrong sspl from this forum. i just flash sspl for G4 model. and now my device stuck in bootloader and my spl become 2.G4.4pda, but the screen still detec the "usb", i already try to flash many official rom (wm5). but usb allways connetcion error.. what should i do? please help me.. still i can use my prophet or not? thx alot

Check especially 8 steps beginning with "Please ask yourself... 1. did I soft reset....."
Once i was stuck at the tree-color screen, everything was ok but i coudn't establish the connection by RUU and i tried to restart my pc, that didn't help, but i shut it down completely and start again, it worked. Please try..
Use hardspl for G3, not for G4! If there are separate RUUs for G3 and G4 any time, absolutly flash with the one for G3!

If you've flashed a G4 SPL onto a G3 device, it's probably terminal...
When i tried to install any firmware the progress stop at 11% and the Hermes only turn on in bootmode, any idea??

I had that problem and few more with my Hermes.
While it didn't help me, this suggestion by ultramag69 may help you...
Use the sd card method to flash a new rom, instead of a USB cable/Windows computer.
1. Format a 2Gb or less sd card to FAT32, copy the large 50MB-90MB .nbh file onto it and rename to hermimg.nbh
2. Insert the card into your Hermes and reset to bootloader (hold OK & POWER and push RESET for a sec with the stylus)
3. If you haven't stuffed up the other steps, follow the prompts.

Just one other thing summoner, make sure you have Hard SPL V7 installed. Otherwise the ONLY rom I'd try flashing like that is the SHIPPED STOCK ROM. Its so the CID will be recognised and won't cause a brick.
rmorera84, unless you've installed Hard SPL V7 then find the SHIPPED STOCK ROM and flash that, anything else may permanently brick your Hermes.
If you have Hard SPL V7 (IPL 1.04, SPL 2.10 oli) then flash what you like...

I suppose I should upgrading the radio rom now!?
I am told don't try fixing what isn't broken - and it is working. 3G iNet, Phone, WiFi, BT - all good atm.
Or is there a particular update I should still install?

SUMM0NER, you're using an older, not so safe version of Hard SPL. The Hermes is downgraded to SPL 1.40 when you sim/CID unlock your phone. Best idea would be to re-install Hard SPL V7. Its a later version that seems less prone to problems when flashing.
Go back to the Hard SPL thread and get Hard SPL V7. I had the same thing happen to me when I unlocked the Hermes, nearly cost me my handset.
The steps are unlock Hermes, Install Hard SPL then upgrade OS.

Because whit any other rom they stuck at 11%.

SUMM0NER, no. You have loaded the os, the reason you put Hard SPL V7 is if you want to upgrade the radio rom (not a good idea unless you are experiencing problems) or wish to change the os. Just means recovery is easier than if you didn't have it.

Can I assume your Hermes is working right now?
If it is download and install HardSPL V.7 (attached to the bottom of the first post!)
Ones done verify that it installed correctly by holding the OK & Power button and pushing reset for a sec. The screen should display the coloured bars and say towards the centre: SPL-2.10.Olipro

You didn't confirm if it is working right now!?
If it is not working, try one of the official WM5 Cingular roms from this list. If that worked apply HardSPL 7 and take it from there.
Ones you downloaded the Cingular rom update you will have to keep unpacking the .exe files until you come to the actual .NBH file (WinRAR works for me).
Then follow ultramag69's instructions on flashing the rom via memory card.

Try downgrading to the Cingular rom via USB. Just double click the EXE and follow the instructions.
To use the memory card method follow these steps...
0. unpack the .exe file containing the rom with Winrar (right-click exe then choose "Extract to...\")

The reason to use the memory card to upgrade a rom, rather than a usb cable, is to cut down on failed upgrades (dodgy Windows/usb port/usb cable/etc..).
All working? Try upgrading to a Hermes rom that didn't work previously.
Any rom you can find in the Hermes section. Go to the WM06 part of the forum, theres a sticky at the top with about 50 older roms and you'll find other roms there too (latest is wm6.5).

i install the official WM5 AT-T version the WM6 AT-T, but, i still whit the no-gsm problem, can i flash i radio? or what i can do??
You may not be able to fix this, if you know what the original SHIPPED STOCK ROM was and can find it, then flash that. It may not work, if it gets stuck at 11% - 17% mark it means the radio ROM is stuffed and the memory area is corrupted. Not fixable.
You could also try, if you know what it is, the original radio rom by itself. Again, if you can't get it to work, you have a PDA but won't work as a phone ever again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Im to having the same problem, it keeps going back to the 2.1.Olipro boot loader.
I tried the memory card option and it starts to install but then stops.
Does anyone have and sugestions?

Hi, I got my Hermes 8525 in boot mode what i did is to install this Schaps_WM6Pro_WWE_4.00_Full.exe now my hermes is working but i want to unlock it..what can I do cos everytime i try got in to boot mode again..any help tks.,..
So, after first succesefull flash of my tytn I took friends mda vario 2 to do the same. And bricked it!!!
Because of first unsuccesefull flash when I downloaded RUU_inside.nbh file into HardSPL7 directory. So, I connected vario and started RUU_wrapper. BUT in a next few seconds I realised that I am upgrading ROM instead of HARDSPL-ing File inside was from DopodAsia WWE.
Upgrade stared, in a 30minutes it stucked in 24% and I disoconnected PDA. After that it stucked in bootloader! SPL 2.03!
I tried to do HardSPL after-no help. I tried to install ATT Stripped ROM- error on 1%. I downloaded official WM 5.0 GER - no help again.
Few more attempts of flashing HARDSPL, and ROM-s via RUU-wrapper didnt help eather. THEN JUST SOFTRESET: I saw dopod bootsplash screen, and windows started normally!!! I couldnt believe, because I was prepparing to do that complicated procedure of unbricking.
After starting windows I just did HARDSPL and ATT stripped ROM: All OK UNLESS GSM!
Is it possible to fix??

I was in a hurry, so I just connected PDA and start wrapper. I shocked when a I saw wrong .nbh file, but it was too late. But luckely it looks like new ROM was partly OK and I was able to start WM, then flash HardSPL and WM correctly.
Both hermes are working fine.
P.S. I would like someone to put simple guide for people who only want to change their ROM to simple WWE, and have some experience.
1. Download HardSPL7 and unzip to folder on PC
2. Download ATT ROM and unzip to different folder on PC
3. Connect via ActiveSync
4. Start RUU wrapper from HardSPL folder and follow instructions
5. See if you flashed correctely (in a bootloader must be 2.10.01olipro in SPL)
6. If its OK than reset, start WM on PC, connect via ASync and start RUU-wrapper FROM ATT ROM folder, choose autodetect or SPL you have seen in bootloader screen - accept everything....Wait for 10min and enjoy in ENG ROM!
