I am trying to change the D Number on the 1st splash screen as I want to see the number I have choose for my cooked rom. When i change the ROm version with the nbhtool I can see my number in the screen of "Device Info" on the Nike Settings but the D number on the 1st splash screen is still the same . Any help ?

Instructions for creat and flashing custom Splash Screen on Niki :
1. U need Flash Hard-SPL for your device.
2. Select pictures ,size must be 240x320, save it as BMP 24bit.
3.Extract tools in my Attached Files
- Copy comdlg32.ocx,mscomctl.ocx to \WINDOWS\system32 folder.
- Run nb_image_converter.exe and load files images, save .nb with name "PrimarySplash.nb" ( pic1 ) , run again load pic2 and save .nb with name "SecondarySplash.nb"
- Run SplashTool.exe select to PrimarySplash.nb and SecondarySplash.nb it will convert new format.
4. Run 1___MAKE_NBH.bat it will creat for u new RUU_signed.nbh
5. Run CustomRUU.exe and update new Splash Screen for your niki device
Enjoy your new splash screen!

this program is to make a custom boot up screen.
in other words - boot with your own images as boot up screen if you want

1_ Windows Mobile screen (green color)
2_ Operator Logo (iTIM)
Which is the screen it is possible to change?

This is Start up Splash.
Files name : animated.gif
If u want change it just use gif pictures u want 240*320 and change name to animated.gif copy to Windows Folder.
And reset device..!

Can you elaborate? if you are referring to the original default HTC start up splash which is basically the words "smart mobility" in black background then I can upload it for you here!

Here you go Original HTC Splash, make sure you have installed HardSPL then just unzip the attached file and run ROMUpdateUtility as for the htc logo the animated gif that's already posted here by sackbauer post #12

Hi everyone.
im a beginner for PDA's..i have read your post about prophet then i decided to upgrade to WM6 PDAVIET.
While i connect pda and execute software i had mistake and turn off phone.i did turn on phone after cancelled process
it just showing operator logo and IPL SPL GSM OS infos..
and i have run again Upgrade_ROM.exe than its stopping " Clearing the existing Extension ROM " ..
What did i do PLS i wait your helps
goto bootloader and flash again

i entered bootloader screen its showing operator logo and IPL SPL... vs
then i retry to run Upgrade_ROM.exe but there are no change ?
what must i see on bootloader screen ? and now my screen vibrating during on process now is it normal ?

That is not bootloader... It should show a three coloured screen, and when plugged in to USB, the text in the bottom right hand corner should say "USB"

What does the tri-colored screen shows you? What is the number after the "spl"? Have you run the unlocker?

the "spl 1.2"updateAP4.0(spl 4.0),and the three colored screen can't show the "Athena" model,
the "spl" show 1.2,now flash any rom ,the process come to 1% will stop ,and return to the three colored screen

If you're in spl 1.2, that means you have already run the unlocker. This means you can flash any ROM that is compatible with spl1.2. However, you cannot flash ROMs that requires spl 3.5, and AP4.0 is a ROM that needs spl3.5.
Why not try out ROM's which are compatible with spl1.2 instead?
Hi , when i soft reset my phone the splash screen of htc is coming up but it's not writing "quality brilliant" and after that there is the orange color screen with windows logo on top , whats wrong ?
Did you change the registry setting to skip the animation? Custom ROM?

I have the original 1.48 rom with 2.06 radio .
I installed an energy rom recently on my HD2, one of the early december ones. After installing it I noticed that it has changed my initial spash screen.
I have an HD2 branded o2. Before I installed the rom the phone turned on, you saw the O2 splash screen and then the R G D details down on the bottom left and then it booted into windows. Now after a while I descided to restore the orgional O2 1.72 image on my phone. I restored it by using the leoimg.nbh trick.
Everything is fine with the phone but now when I turn the phone on I now get two splash screens. I get the initial O2 screen as expected, but now it changes to the white HTC screen and displays the R G D details in the bottom left.
Is there any way to sort this out so that it only shows the O2 splash screen, I am worried that if I need to take the phone back, even with hard SPL uninstalled they will not fx it and say it is out of warenty.
Any help would be appreciated.

It is a little bit naughty of chefs to include a secondary splashscreen, because they are not removed by flashing stock roms. I had to send mine back to o2 too, and had to make a fake o2 2nd splash to make it look like one long single splash.
Hey do you have a copy of your custom splash screen I could use?
sorry, i didn't save it, and to be honest it wasn't really the correct one. i couldn't find the hd2 stock image, and failed to extract it from the stock rom, so i made my own from a generic o2 bubbles image and flashed it to 1st and 2nd splash. wasn't the right pic but nothing was said.
