Camera image auto rotate? - Mogul, XV6800 ROM Development

Hello all,
I was wondering if anyone could advise of a cab, OEM, or reg edit that would cause images taken by the camera to auto rotate - similar to how DCD has the camera configured in his roms. I just don't want to manually rotate every image I take.
I am hoping someone can give some insight...
Thanks!

I am very interested in this as well!

Screen Rotation Portrait to Landscape XDAII with PPC2003SE

Hi!
I just installed the new updated ROM from o2.ie. (1.72.00WWE) All works fine but I can't work out how to toggle to landscape view! Been round the block a good bit but can't find a button for this!
Can anyone there help? Thanks!!
Conor
Go to setting/system/Screen can choose landscape
You can download RoteteScreen. cab at this forum to make a shotcut
Still can't see that button in "Screen" as you sug
Still can't see that button in "Screen" as you suggest.
I'd prefer not to install a CAB if possibile as I thought that screen rotation formed part of this second edition of PPC2003.
Am I wrong on that?
Thanks!
Conor
Hi, I don't think you have 2003SE. The latest upgrade from o2 is still 2003 (first edition). There is no official SE upgrade for the xdaII. However, I have recently upgraded using finalzero's 2003SE ROM available here and, as they say in glasgow, "it's pure minted, man". Highly recommended. Plus, I have been able to install it without the caller ID which makes the system a lot l-o-t slower. The extended ROM, by a fortuitous mistake, has to be installed manually so this can be customised.
Hope this helps.
Do you have a link to FinalZero's SE Rom? I'm using the one originally posted by DCS but if there's a better one!
You're right mate! The o2 upgrade isn't Second Edition!!
Thanks for saving me from myself!
It's taken me ages to reinstall my programs and SMS messages so I'll put up with this ROM for now.
But if someone could really recommend a good prob-free plug-in for screen rotation I'd be much obliged - thanks a lot!

HTC Album WORKS but...

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=339944&page=6
In the KAISER section all links and stuff about HTC Album, gestures to manage pictures.
I tested with PK 3.0 ROM an it WORKS at 128 DPI the menus are 1/4 of the screen, but slideshow is in full screen.
Nice app, needs to be "SKINNED" to work for us, od just used at 192 DPI!
In fact, it's necessary to modify the .xml to reskin completly the app....
It's long but work

Click to collapse
and delete the skin cache dat file in windows, and some minor reg edits..
currently got this running in Portrait 96dpi two columns thumbnails with a preview in the middle of the screen. Still need some work, but I'm getting there.
Is quite a neat app.
Let us know... and also a 128 DPI version for elderly perople will be great!

I second the motion for a 128dpi version but deny the part about old people
Guys you can manage this yourselves.. Not rocket science
change the shortcut to the album, get rid of the mode and other flag.
have a look at the reg entries under hklm/software/htc and see which ones a relevant to you.
change some of the flags in the skin_p xml file, i doubled the w= sizes and the width and height of the thumbnail setting to get a bigger preview.. on that same line you can change the colums and rows.. you may need to change the size of the mask file for preview depending on what you want.
if you look carefully you can change the menus & options etc..
finally delete the skincache .dat and restart the album..(need to do this everytime you change the skin xml).
worst comes to worst you can always reinstall the album cab if you **** up..
so far Ive not been able to get the right hand 3rd of the screen refreshing, if you run with 6 or 7 colums then you can get the outside of the boxes showing on a mouseover, but the way i run mine it leaves a trace of the edge of preview on the screen.
will pop my xml and change mask bmp up in a zip later, just back the originals up.
I haven't tried editting the xml file yet, but I have noticed that when I start the Album, the orientation is inverted lanscape, even if windows is in portrait. There was a file on the original Kaisar thread to start it in a normal orientation, but it doesn't work (or at least not on the Athena anyway)
Anyone know how to get it to start in a right handed landscape orientation, that is, the default for the Athena?
Very nice find by the way, I rarely look outside the Athena forums, so don't find things like this, but I'll be sure to keep a look out now, thanks a lot

I just use the portrait as I can't be bothered with doing two XML files
There's nothing I can see that affects the screen rotation other than the link command -mode:camera in the shortcut, which I got rid of anyway.
Reg entries that seem to make a difference are under hklm\software\htc\touchscroll\htcalbumclass
Enclosed the portrait xml file and picmask, both to go into windows..
**please note these were done for my amusement, and to see what makes a difference, if you don't like em don't moan!
nothing new for me.
everything works perfectly except two things. first, when i open the program it starts upside down. but when i click on a pic it comes up the right way. second how can i tell the program what directory to look in for pics. thanks

6.5 Questions

Hi all,
Took the plunge last night and flashed the 6.5 (501) rom. Thanks TPlane! So far so good! I've searched the posts but I couldn't find anything about two things I'd like to do, so here they are because I'm sure someone else out there would like to know as well.
1 Adding a photo dialing tab to the titanium plugin? Can this be done? (I know everything can be done... but how?)
2 I love touchResponse in loud areas. But installing it in this rom causes a 1 sec vibrate that cannot be made short. Is there a method to edit the settings in 6.5?
If this is a repeat post then I'm sorry.
Chris
Found 6.5 Photo Dialer

Great Work! Includes finger photo Dialer for 6.5 and works great on a Titan!
TR Solved
Q. Why is the vibration always the same duration no matter what the settings are set at?
A. Use a registry editor to go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>OEM>VIB and set STRENGTH_LOW to 0. Thanks to agdaniels for pointing this out.

Can anyone flip this manila background for me? files attached

I have this manila background that was installed with NFSFAN's new custom ROM on my sprint Touch Pro, but I am trying to get it flipped so that the blue is on the left. Can anyone help me with it? Thanks in advance. The screenshot of the background I have is attached. If there is a certain set of manila files I can attach to help, just let me know which ones are for the panoramic background and I will attach them. Thanks again.
*Edit* Just found another post that said which files are the actual manila files. They are now attached in background.zip
Here ya go.
Just what I was looking for, thanks! I was trying to get all 3 pictures swapped around, but you did the part I couldn't get working on manila editor. After that it was just renaming each file so that it would go in the right place and now it is just what I wanted. Thanks again!
No Problem.

Enable rotation

can someone remind me where the reg entries are to enable rotation on certain apps?

anyone?
i'm sure someone knows! i found it in a thread here last time but my searches are not bringing it up now
