try using a different memory card to install it, then use then blow in the microsd card slot to make sure there is no dust, make sure there is no dust, and it is placed in properly and restart your phone
Hi,
I am trying to install hard spl on my hermes, checked everything (activesync etc.) but as soon as the installation starts, am being asked to allow the use of the programs on the hermes....the hermes comes up with a soft return...and afterwards I get an connection error... Any help will be highly appreciated...
Kind regards,
Anton Will van Zoelen
PS used version 7 of hardspl
Go to page 116, post 1160 of the Hard SPL thread for instructions on using SD Card method. You need a 2Gb or less card and it must be formatted FAT32.
Hi,
Thanks for your quick response. Will do...

Hi,
Did excactly as was said but when I started the program SSPL-HERM.exe the pda did soft reset and nothing happended. Did not format the micro SD as it is FAT32.
Any advice....?
Thanks...
Kind regards,
Anton Will van Zoelen
SSPL.exe must be on the phones memory when started or it won't work, Are you sure that the sd card is Formated FAT32 as it comes default FAT. Check you renamed the .nbh file properly - hermimg.nbh .Also sd card MUST be 2Gb or less...
Cheers...
This exact thing happened to me. For some reason it isn't compatible with windows 7 or vista. If you can't get it to work on the sd card, try doing it on a computer with windows xp, make sure you have .net update on it too. Or you could try xp mode on windows 7. I ended up just using xp on my netbook.
Alex1261 is correct -- you could install and use Windows XP mode assuming your current hardware configuration is compatible. To learn more about Windows XP mode, please go here: http://bit.ly/lvAjC

windows xp mode uses virtualization. i'd reaaallly recomend against that, and even then i don't know if you can bridge the USB ports.
point: use xp on standard hardware. netbook, as alex said is a good way to go.
use the [Easy Hard-Spl v7 beta v0.1] by qwasde2
it,s really usefull i tryed it,s by me
it,s for win XP and vista and se7en users
i,am not joking here is the link

I am sure this has been posted before, i searched and looked at the topics but nothing helped.
I am running Android 2.2 FRG33 on my hd2 and my rom is ChuckyROM GTX + CHT 1.8.5 - 23128
All of a sudden while running android my phone didn't show my SD card (16 gb sandisk micro sdhc). So i took it out and put it back in. Nothing. I switched to windows with the custom rom, but it was still not being recognized. I tried Hard reset, nothing. I don't have a adapter so i can't connect my sd card to my computer. Also when i plug my phone in i don't have the option to mount as a disk drive
Can anyone help me

Did you tray to format your SD?
I just tried it. The sd card was shown in file explorer but then it disappeared. I formatted the sd card again but it wasn't even shown in the file explorer
Come on guys, can anyone help me please ?
Allthough I don't have any experience with Android, I doubt if that's got anything to do with it.
If you look up the posts about this issue, you might get the impression that the HD2 kills Sandisk cards at one point or another.
It did so with mine. I had no other possiblility then to buy a new one
I didn't buy another Sandisk 'cause I wasn't sure which was the culprit.
I'm sorry that I don't have better news for you.
First, check that other cards work in your phone...
Then, if they do, I suggest buying a MicroSD to USB (like £2) and try formatting it on the PC...
Ive searched google and XDA however i have not found a definitive answer to this.
is there a way to run windows phone 7 from the sd card, the way we currently run android.
i would love to test out win7 but i dont want to have to lose the ability to switch to android when i get sick of windows (which is inevitable).
dude, how can you run windows 7 from an SD card when there is hardly a windows 7 phone out in the world at all?
if windows phone is ever available to the hd2, it'll be a full rom and not an sd card option
Is it possible to do this within Android?
At the moment I've this rooted phone running ICS, an SD card, an SD to USB reader and a netbook that once ran windows 7 until an hour ago. Oh and no working computer access for a few days.
I've installed a couple of versions of linux on PC's in the past, mainly as quick fixes between windows installations as I've proved myself too much of a novice to use it full time, so I know it can be done from an SD card easily enough should you be able to make one bootable with linux installed.
As I've only got this phone for a few days, would it be possible to do the above directly from this device?
I've searched google for every term and question I can think of but nothing is findable given the number of people lokig to do it the other way by installing things to their phones!
Is it even possible?
this will be a no then lol.
looks like I'll need to wait
