I just purchased the Att Fuze and I want to upgrade the ROM. Does anyone know who has the best cooked ROM that will keep it close to the original but get rid of all of the ATT junk? I want something that is stable and tested. Please let me know who has the best cooked ROM for the fuze.
check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=444784
I have not tried the 1.2, but I have been using 1.1 and it runs very well.
has anyone here tried both romeo's and NATF's roms??? which is faster and sustains 3g
to me Romes is always the best rom! by far
I've tried both roms and Romeos is faster and more stable for me.
No 3g in my area so I can't comment on that.
gordiejamz,
well it seems like the battle is split. i will try NATF's tonight when he loads his new rom and i will let you know how it goes. im in the nyc area so i have full 3g as well and i see natf's users have no issues with 3g
Let's please not start the "Who has the best rom?" threads. These types of questions have no definitive answer. Please ask your rom questions in the the appropriate rom thread. You are more likely to get a definitive answer to your questions.
Thanks for understanding.

I know, I know....
but i am not a flash junkie and don't want my first experience with the TP to be flashing 10 roms. I'm just looking to get a decent one (preferably not a black theme ) and run with it to get to know touchflo and the device. Thanks!
There's a good Wiki associated with this device. Get to know the chefs then start reading their threads. Took me about an evening to find what I was looking for.
Just my opinion but, NATF's all the way! And the FuzeBerry of course....
Hi there
Ive coome over from the hermes camp too (although its still running)
i would personally reccomend the lantis os roms but again, and you'll see this all over xda, you will only find the best rom for you after flashing a few
and theres only really a handful to try!
good luck and make sure you've hardspl'd and have your stock rom and radio versions written down or backed up just in case you have to do a warranty return! saves u the hassle of trying to hunt it down in the panic!

You should try them all, so you can see what the difference between a good and bad rom is. Each rom is built different for different so not all roms may suit your needs..... but i agree on Lantis OS being my favorite right now.
I personally tried Romeo, NATF and Proven and decided to stick with Proven.
I had problems with the screen shutting off during calls with Romeo.
I experienced TF3D lag with NATF.
Proven has been rock solid and I like the Diamond tweaks he's incorporated.
if you don't like TF3D go with Da_G.. I'm actually running a VGA version of HTC Home on mine.. love the speed.
Thread like these usually get closed pretty fast, I'm suprised that yours last a day
It's really all depend on what you like, they are all great. For the past few days, I've tried many of them. And to be honest, there is no BEST one. It's really depend on what you need and what you like.
Da_G is has the cleanest ROM NaTF's
Elite RC2 Is fully loaded with a new feeling
NATF Is stable, and GPS lock is pretty quick (update very often)
Proven, it's like Elite with less Applications and function (cleaner)
Romeo is very stable
.... Those are what i've tried
Check the Wikki in sticky post.
I think it is a good question that should come up from time to time.. sure everyone has their personal preferences but for a new person wanting a quick rundown on the most current ROMS to date.. just saving the guy some time downloading and flashing all those different ROMS. anyone here flashed all released ROMS to date?
I also went from the Hermes (8525) about a week and a half ago. Fuze was my christmas present .
I tried NATF's ROM for about a week and had many problems, which i seemed to ignore because of all its good feedback. I then tried Lantis OS and had no problems at all, I am still currently using it. No errors and speedy fast.
My suggestion is Lantis OS for the moment, but NATF is suppose to be releasing his v4.0 ROM sometime today or tomorrow so you should look out for that as well.
Good luck with your fuze and your flashing, and enjoy that beautiful VGA screen that i loved when i got it compared to the Hermes
I don't think that XDA-developers ever had any problems with folks discussing ROMs and their xp with the various flavors in a rational manner. We usually end up shutting down threads because the first reply is "Use search you id10t!" followed by general thread degeneration.
Anyhoo.. normally I'm one of the chefs, but with this device I've found that Da_G's direction mirrors the way I'd be going anyway. He's more interested in technical improvements to the GDI, GPS etc than in all the additional apps. I'm pretty confident that he's well on his way to creating a solid base ROM that's free for anyone to work from. Exactly what I would have done. Why re-invent the wheel?
This is what these kinds of threads are supposed to be like! As stated by a couple people previously, normally these get dismissed and/or flamed. When people ask these types of questions, usually they are not asking (at least the smart ones aren't) which ROM the SHOULD flash, but rather what is your experiances with the ones you have used.
I understand how confusing it may be trying to decide which one to use - they all look the same as far as applications that are cooked in. Only difference aesthetically are the different themes and that alone is not a deciding factor for me.
Just as everyone has stated - just try some out and see how they feel to you. ie button mapping, folder layout, apps installed, speed, etc. I personally like Aruppenthal's RRE ROM but that's just my 2 cents.
FYI: From what I've seen, EVERY ROM has its own bugs/quirks that may or may not annoy you.

Any chance you could post the version your using? I can't seem to find a VGA version and I am getting ready to get rid of TouchFlo 3D. Or post the thread you got it from.
Never Mind....I found it in the Diamond Forum...
I second the Lantis OS. I am using it as well. It is very fast and stable. I had problems with NATF's as well. But I will try NATF's v4.0 when it is released.

The one I'm using is a cab called htchome2.cab that I found in the diamond forum...works fine but the media player tab does not work.
And I have been using either Lantis or DaG Rom's....I use Blackberry Connect which adds lag to the fuze anyway but it seems to affect these Roms the least. I would be interested in hearing what Rom's Blackberry Connect users are fond of as it seems to make a big difference.
i too just got my Fuze from Kaiser. right now im using RomEOS and really like it. i might try the Da_G because i really dont care about TF3D.
Hey all, well I been around for a bit and have been reading and never really posted for the fear of getting the Fire of using the "Search Function". So I read my way through the handsets I have had. I worked my way from the Cingular 8525 to the AT&T Tilt 8925 and pretty soon I should be getting my hands on a Fuze as the Moto I have been using is acting a fool.
So here's what I want to find out and please don't throw the fire at me. When I had my Tilt I had tkalli; thanks Ted; who recommended the HD ROMs and I worked my way from there. I would like to know what ROMs you would recommend and use and why any thoughts and opinions would never go read since I am very willing to learn. Thank you all.
Opinions vary from user to user. Try them all and see which you like most.

Hey there wildcard, nice to hear your picking up a fuze! I've been running the Energy 2.0 series ROM since they are very cutting edge and the chef (NRGZ28) releases a new ROM almost daily which fulfills my flashing needs.
Really I've tried most all the ROM's here (nothing with WinMo 6.5 though) and must say that we are lucky to have such wonderful chefs as there are soooo many great ROM's to choose from.
Hi All,
Ive been looking through the forums and it seems there are so many ROMs to choose from..! Anyone 'tried & tested' and know which ones the best to install..? Ive currently on T mobile (UK) and dont want to have to do many patches after the new ROM is installed.... Any ideas please on the best ROM to install..??!
What does "best ROM" mean?
I think the answer would be that you go through the ROMs yourself and decide on what you like. No one can tell you what the best one is as different people like different things.
I personally use NRGZ28's EnergyROM (Great chef!) and have been doing so for a while now. In fact, from day two of getting my Serra!!
You don't have to do much after hard reset - just settings really.
Good luck!
I like Energy Rom,because this thing is FAST and almost bugsfree
You've got a choice between elite's Rom (Currently RC3, RC4 will be out very soon) or EnergyROM 2.0 I'd stick with RC3, as the dev team is actively engaged in support & bug tracking whereas NRGZ isnt much so.
It depends on what you're looking for... Right now I have RRE 6.5 with Rhodium Manila, it's very quick and has the benefits of both WM6.5 and the latest Manila port.
NRGZ28 builds awesome ROMs (fast, good-looking and stable) but so far they are only WM 6.1
Soon he will bring out his 3.0 (which is WM6.5) series which is very promising.
Elite ROMs are a bit too loaded for me, and I have found them to be less fast than NRGZ's ROMs.
My advice: Try and find out on your own, only you know what you'll like best.
There aint such thing as a BEST ROM. it is user dependant.
Why don;t you flash a couple of roms and the tell your experiences in the therefor opened threads.
And so you will also know what rom suits you most
good luck.
Modz close thread please
greetz,
the general
The best ROM is subjective. Have a look and find the one you like the look of.
Please read the stickies before starting a new thread.

Howdy fellas. I just wanted to say thanks a million-5 for all the effort and communication this forumn has. As well as thanks for the tons of useful items to help our phones run better so we can enjoy them on a more personal fun level.
I have searched and tried multiple Radio roms. I have only thus far ever used the Energy roms and not to stray someone from another rom or nothing but so far they run super great.
My primary post is to let people know that in the Ste. Gen, Farmington, Park Hills, Festus Missouri areas that the Radio version 1.02.25.32 has been by far the best Radio Rom (AT&T btw) that I have tried. Places where I couldnt talk at all, it still works. Battery life appears to not be hurt much either. I am still learning a tons of stuff from this forum and I know from my own experience that it can sometimes be hard to find information that applies directly to you. So if anyone from these areas I just wanted to confirm that (im my opinion) this rom is what you need.
Anyhow, thanks to everyone for your great and hard work and useful information. It is appreciate more than you know because im sure people that do appreciate it dont post it sometimes.
Thanks
JJMAN
Fuze, Energy Rom WarHawk, Radio 1.02.25.32
I live in St louis, and im using an energy rom version from a couple weeks ago and havent had a problem, NRGZ28 makes the best roms. And the 1.14.25.05 radio has been the best radio for me and the GPS syncs really fast!
I think this is more a radio question than a ROM question. I would search the radio threads to see if anyone had checked on or about your area. BTW I'm using 1.14.35.25 with matching rilphone.dll and it works great, especially with the GPS...very short lock times...less than 10 secs usually.
Good Luck
What Rom (for HTC fuze) is the best when considering Speed Stability & Compatiblity
As the title suggests what is the best ROM for HTC Fuze when the MOST important factors are:
Speed.
Stability.
Compatibility.
I don't care much for graphics and all the other bloatware.
I suppose if I must I will just install my own graphical add-ons and utilities.
I don't know if this makes any difference but my carrier is AT&T.
Thank you very much for your time, expertise, and willingness to help
this is a taboo question, read the thread rules. I will be nice however and recommend NRG roms (219xx version) as they are the most stable. Following NRG i would say Tael rom (219xx version). If you are looking for stability, do not use the 235xx build roms, they are more unstable and more confusing to use.
EDIT: I POSTED IN THE SAME BOARD WHERE THEY ARE ALL AT. DURRRRRRRRR tyty

I am such a nub I could not even find the official website/thread for those roms. Could someone please post links for the HTC Fuze Rom versions?
EDIT: did you mean EnergyROM? if so I could not find the HTZ Fuze Rom, I found one for HTC Touch HD and another for HTC Touch HD2 for TMobile.

Hmm...
You could at least check the first messages in TAEL (#5) and Energy ROM (#1) threads.... just 1 up and down from your thread (not for long)
And are you really sure, you want to flash?
I want a faster phone.
I hate waiting 5 seconds for email tab to load.
I also hate waiting 5 seconds from the second the phone receives the call to the point I actually answers it.
and the htc rant goes on...
I may be wrong but isnt flashing with a fast, stable rom the best solution?
There is no best ROM take your time flashing to find what suits your needs?
And as every thread on this subject, thread closed.
