Clove sells a universal cut-to-fit mirrored screen protector from Echo, for £6 gbp. As if our HD's weren't sexy enough already. I'm going to try one of these. I think I'll just stick the full sheet on, then trim it with an exacto knife. But I'm worried about trimming the small receiver speaker hole. Any suggestions?
with a scalpel?a pointed one...
why not use the original screen protector as a template?
although i would imagine you will need a sharp blade, a good eye and a steady hand to not make it look like a pile of poop
i would think these protectors are meant for those screens that are recessed rather than full frontal (oo eerrr) like the HD is

I bought one of these on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/Mirror-Screen-P...h=item220335185106&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1262
Fit is perfect (no camera hole), but the colours on screen are a bit weird and screen seems darker. Took it off after a week or so.

whats the screen like when backlit? is it clear? what about texture when scrolling and using stylus?
I had this installed on my HD 2 weeks back. looks nice and shiny, but thats all to it. (bought from ebay)
Drawbacks:
1. The mirror coating is not smooth all over, if u see the above pics, u will see distortion in image on the upper right corner.
2. Very Very bad under the SUN! i really have to cover it totally with my hand, or take it in under a shade to see the screen. (u win some, u lose some!) Good for a few days as a fancy, but then now i am going to remove it off and put a normal clear one again. Had it running all the time on Full brightness - load on battery too! Its good enough indoors with full brightness only, cant use the Auto Brightness control.
I have this on my wife's iphone too, which i got from Javoedge - very good quality that is, and no distortions, but it is a bit thick!

Has anyone treid any of these. Want to know if it covers all of the phone and how about a screen protector then and what the quality is like?

That's very nice. I was searching for such a site. Maybe I will buy one for my Touch Pro2 and PlayStation3. I like the design of the covers.
When I buy some, I'll let you know!

P.S. Sorry for my bad English. I'm Dutch, you know.
There was a thread on here about 6 months ago with a similar thing and one guy had pics where moisture had got underneath the the protector he had on and it made a right mess don't know if these will do the same tho
interesting that they give you a matching background... well thought out product for sure!
I just ordered the carbon-fiber setup. Will post my experience when it comes in.
thats pretty cool, gotta look into this lol
Got mine in today. About all these are good for is personalization and minor scratch protection of unimportant areas. The battery cover half only covers part way and will only protect from scratches when laying the phone down flat. The cutouts are perfectly positioned and lining the skin up is easy, but be careful not to stretch the thin material.
The front skin is less impressive. Unlike in the photos, it does not cover the chrome trim at all. It is exactly the same shape and size as a die-cut screen protector, but the screen area is open. If you use one of those types of screen protectors then this skin is little more than adornment. If you use the square-cut type then it has to be larger than the skin's opening, which is exact to the Tilt's viewable screen area. This means there will be some degree of overlap. You could cut a screen protector to fit the skin's opening, but the likelihood of getting it perfect and without gaps is not high. Again, be careful not to stretch it when applying, especially the very thin sides.
To get the included wallpaper you have to go to a website and enter a key that comes with the skin and verify your e-mail address used to order. It will then be sent in an e-mail. I tried to use it with SPB Mobile Shell and it was magnified and all pixelated for some strang reason. Didn't try it with Manila since I'm no longer using that UI.
I guess if you want a custom look to the outside of your phone, it's worth the $12 (with shipping), but don't expect a lot of protection from it. Also, when you pass a finger over the edge where it meets the device you can feel it. Probably won't be long before it starts lifting and getting all unglued or ragged.
hey Miami.... post some photos of the finished application if you can.

Here's a fuzzy closeup of the edge. You can feel it when you pass a finger over it and it will probably be no time before it starts to lift. I've already got a ragged edge right where the stylus goes in from nicking it with my fingernails. I'll leave it be as long as I can, but I don't expect it to stay on too long.
Anybody use these? They look pretty cool! I'm planning to just put it on the back only (to protect the bottom glass when laying it on a surface). Might order a set of carbon fiber black, or that dark wood!

I considered one of these but i just cant imagine how painful and frustrating it would be applying it. Screen protectors already can be so frustrating haha. If you do please share pics of the after product!
I ordered the silver/white carbon fiber, it's the only easy way to make my black Xperia Z3 white.... T-mobile USA carry just the black version geez.
Looks like super high quality material.
Sent using my Xperia Z3 while underwater
Is this stuff sticking well to the curved areas?
No it didn't stick well to the curved areas. I applied one and withing 2 days it was coming off.
I ordered the Dark Wood one. I'll let you know how it is when I get it.
Enfurno, did you try to re-attach after briefly using a hair dryer? I've seen that suggestion across the Skinomi site, and I'm curious if that helps at all.
Just updating the purchase. I bought the black carbon fiber one. It was very easy to apply and sticks really well (I only applied the rear, not the sides). The cut is very accurate to the phone, with a 1mm gap too thin on one side. So far so good.
The pic does not do justice.
I hear there is a thanks giving sale/discount.
I got the Dark Wood one recently and applied it. The small pieces were a bit of a pain, but using a hair dryer helps to install them. The backside went on very easily. It looks great, I'll try to upload some pics soon.
Also, I'd like to confirm that the 'self healing' does in fact work. I got a rather large nasty scratch on the backside which initially wouldn't "heal", but when I applied heat (I put my hot coffee mug on it, but again, the hair dryer is your friend here) the scratch got less deep and smaller. It's almost gone now, but I think it needs a little more help.
Im looking into getting the Z3 and I have a Z2 today. I want like a rubbery backside because my hands are very dry and its alittle bit slippery. Which one would be best to get to have that rubber feeling?
Does Skinomi deliver to sweden?
Hi guys.

Hi, I had this, this after some time, this annoys you. Because it feels and it is bigger with the bumper. My bumper was a little thinner, but the same effect
Look for other
I use a similar version, with a cover on the back and this reduce the RF signals (BT, Wifi, Celullar, etc.). If I can recommend something, use another like the "love mei" to fully protect your phone.
I have one at the moment, bought it for 6 dollars . Actually it makes the phone bigger and less comfortable, also you wont be able to use the fingerprint scanner, because the power button will be about 6mm inside the bumper. It's edges are not soft. Buy a silicone backcover.
You should look into DevilCase. They make great bumpers which I've been using for years. Very high quality and doesn't affect cell service. They also make really cool skins but since they're not sold in the USA, the shipping is awfully expensive.
I used an aluminium bumper with a slide on back as a posed to screw together ones. I dropped my device a couple of times and thought it was fine, although the it turned out the frame bumper had warped causing the back slide in section to not sit correctly. The impact also caused the rear glass to smash in a corner which I didn't see until I removed it.
I wouldn't recommend one TBH.
Despite my previous opinion, I am using DevilCase since few months, and I can say only - The phone looks gorgeous!
Well it is slippery (like it is naked), but there is some protection (i dropped it around 10 times without any damage to the phone or the bumper).
Insignificant signal degradation (in my environment - home, office).
devilcase is the best
Hey guys,
Got this from Devilcase - a taiwanese case manufacturer.
Just fitted it, seems nice and high quality. Aluminium, with rubber pads in strategic places where it makes contact with phone itself

8bit, apologies for the late response.
I got it directly from devilcase at their website. http://www.twdevilcase.com/en/
Yes, I also got their full coverage screen protector (its in the photo if you look closely).
Overall, the alum frame is really nice, top quality, and perfect fit, but it does make the already large phone a little larger. Small hands need not apply at all.

You sold me on it :victory:
I'd like to ask if the bumper affected your reception? And does the tempered glass have some halo effect around the boarders? Got my Nillkin tempered glass and was so disappointed. After installing it, I just removed it. So much halo effect haha
Hi all,
So this is one that seems to have had a lot of interest all over the internet. Lot's of people pointing me towards it as if it was the saviour of OnePlus 5 tempered glass screens. So I ordered, expecting the best.
AND boy did Nillkin make me wait, it took a few weeks to get here, so when it finally did the hype was almost too much to bear!
Applying it was pretty straight forward, but as soon as I unboxed it I knew I would be disappointed with the results. It's not a full body tempered glass and I'd always prefer a full body tempered glass if I'm going to bother. After seeing what happened with the SLEO Tempered Glass it was pretty much inevitable that the same would happen here.
To be completely transparent, I applied and re-applied the screen 3 times to make sure I had the best placement. This was to be completely sure that it was my placement that was off and that's why I was getting the HALO effect.

As you can see in the images above and the video below, once applied you get an always present HALO effect around the edge of the screen. Also because of the thinness of the OP5 black border the clear screen doesn't actually reach all the way across, meaning if you're wanting to tap something on the edge of your screen you may struggle!
Anyway take a look at the video and you'll see it in live action. This screen is not for me, but if you want to give it a try I've included the purchase links in the description below the video on YouTube!
Let me know if you have any questions!
Saw your tweet and then this video confirms it. I'm going to stick to my Orzly TGSP.

Yeah, my hunt continues for the perfect screen. Can't see it ending any time soon, I've also gone back to the Orzly for now!
Sigh, why can't there be a good full screen tgsp. Sticking with my orzly. Its the best of a bad batch ATM.
