How to a hard reset with the keyboard?
when I press power button the ppc it blocks at written "windows mobile 6.1", if I attend some minute, it exits to me outside a shielded white screen whit this word: "the device is unable to boot because either you have turned off the device incorrectly or tried to install an application from untrusted source.Press SEND to reset your device or press any other button to cancel. This operation will delete all your personal data and restore the device to its factory default settings.
if I press SEND key it does not succeed nothing
while off, press and hold vol down and center nav key, then power button.

Thanks for the solution. i had hardtime doing it thou!!! if you encounter problems. press and hold vol down and center nav key BUT when it comes to power; just dot it. anyway maybe it's just me who did the stupid thing of holding power (well it works for the diamond so i thought...)

Does not work for me...
My Rose Keyb is not responding, I changed something in the registry and now I can no longer use both Keyb, I remove the battery, try the hard reset button stuff does not work, any ideas ?

Strange.
Very strange! After doing the procedures, the rose ask to do the reboot and stop in logo of HTC. I had never happened me in any pda.
Now what i do?
You have to wait about 4-5 minutes then Rose will reboot again and will install the additional software.
1. From the Home screen, press the Start button.
2. Press More
3. Select Accessories
4. Select Clear Storage
5. You will be prompted to enter a code, enter 1234
I had the same probleem, my HTC S740 freezes after reboot with the HTC logo screen. I tried the follwoing and it worked:
- press and hold vol down and the navigation key
- pres and release directly the power botton
- a messege will apear, press the navigation key.
- the device will reset to factory settings
- a messege appear asking to press vol up to restart
- device will restart and begin reinstalling the software, reboot after then.
May i ask what are the applications (that came installed with the phone) that are gone with the hard resetting ?

hi...i would like to know if there is anything one can do to back the information up before resetting the Phone as i have crucial Data i cant affort to loose. PLS HELP!?
There are few backup softwares which can backup almost everything on your phone, and you can easily recover it after hard reset. I personally use Sprite Backup, which is probably the best one.

they not work
i try but not result,i pressed about 2 or 3 minutes but they not pass the screen "mobile operator".i think they do not have suficient memory to start the s.o.because before reboot the phone the memory avaiable it´s a 16 kbites.i think the problem it´s the memory and a hard reset resolved the problem but this group keys not result.i start to belive i´m fuc... hum hum hum!!!

finaly i solved the problem.so for everyone they have this problem you first press the power button and wend the keyboard make light you stop press power button and press both sofkeys and not stop before appear the blak screen so you stop press the softkeys and press only the call key and wait a few moments,the welcome screen appears.the desespere hits a god incentive.tanks to everyone they try to make this site betther day by day and to florinox to.
there is nothing in the wiki or anywhere that explains how to hard reset (unles i just missed it somewhere)

I use a variation of those on my GSM RAPH, try #1 to see if it works for your CDMA RAPH:
1) Hard Reset
- Turn off
- Press & hold Action
- Press & hold Volume Down
- Turn on
- Wait for TriColor Bootloader and release buttons
- Follow onscreen instructions
2) Bootloader for Flashing new NBH
- Turn off
- Press & hold Volume Down
- Turn on
- Wait for TriColor Bootloader and release button
- Start ROM Flash utility on PC. If flashing a RAPHIMG.NBH on SDCard, flash begins automatically.

For my sprint tp, I've found the easiest way is with the device turned off, I press the vol. down then the center of dpad while holding both then press the on/off button holding all three untill the onscreen instructions appear.

Do you happen to have a Verizon Touch Pro, if so the only way to Hard Reset is to do Clear Storage under Settings, System.
shut down your phone, then hold VOL + & VOL - and press power on button.
you u will see some options on screen with black background.
press vol- to move untill youu see "cold boot?" and (warm) press Vol +.to
change it to (cold) press vol - to the menue end.
phone will reboot and reset your files to factory stand
I used that to improve signal stringht on Nokser primary ROM. It worked but not so good

This is for your device what I found on the Russian site .
1. First turn off the device
2. For a few seconds, hold down the Volume (+) + Turn on
3. When we see the Android image or the Sharp logo on the display, we stop clicking on the buttons
4. Press the Enable button to enter Recovery
5. In the menu, select wipe data / factory reset using the Volume Control buttons and confirm by pressing the Power key . 6. Then in the menu, select Yes - delete all user data by pressing the Volume Control keys and confirm the selection by pressing the Power key 7.

Old LG G5 I had previously installed Lineage on. Was in a drawer until I decided to charge it up and let one of my kids play games on it. When I input the correct screen lock pattern, it goes black, then comes back to lock screen.
I am able to hold power button to then select power off, restart, etc. From power off, I power on and get the orange triangle recommending to lock the bootloader. But no combination of power and vol-down or power and vol-up will get me to TWRP. It just rolls right back in to Lineage.
Also, from power off, if I plug in to my Linux laptop, it will power on and go to fastboot.
Feels like USB debug got turned off and/or trust somehow got revoked, but I never had this laptop connected to it so probably doesn't matter. But like I said, my unlock pattern is working. I get different response with correct pattern versus incorrect.
I'm also able to see the phone from my https://google.com/android/devicemanager page. I tried to send a secure and erase thinking it might let me start from scratch, but I only see a notification that "Device Located" and it never does anything.
And finally, lsusb -v does see the phone, but adb devices never does.
My question is any idea how to get back to TWRP to wipe and push an updated image or even put an updated TWRP?
Try this ...
It's like getting into Stock Recovery. To get into TWRP Recovery using button combination (hard reset) you'll need to hold volume down button and power button simultaneously, releasing power button (temporarily) once LG logo appears then quickly pressing and holding power button again, all the while maintaining hold on volume down button. The stock recovery message (white background) will appear requiring you to select volume up/down button to continue to reset software (see attached image). If you select yes it will appear to factory reset but will actually boot into TWRP.
