Hello All
I am the FNG of the site and I am ready to jump in head first with Flashing my Fuze.
Having read the ROM Flashing instructions, I think I understand that process.
My question is, Is the process the same for Flashing the radio?
Thanks
Jeez,it is on the raphael goes wiki tread........
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Raphael_ExtractedRadioRoms
Jeez, thanks for the info.
Srry for the 'jeez',but last days so manny people start new treads while most of the questions can be found on the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=419746
Mr vanx made it a sticky.....
Btw welcome to the forums
No worries. Being in IT, I fully understand...
Thanks for the information. By the way, have you seen anything on if the Fuze's processor can be overclocked?
Thanks
What's not in the wiki, is if it is possible to flash radio via SD-card and how to do it or not. That info would be nice to have there if someone knows.

Flashing via MicroSD Card
1. Make sure your microSD is Formatted to fat32 (you dont have to delete all files but it is safer if you do).
2. Download your prefered Radio from the Raphael Rom Develpoment Page and unzip/unrar it to your computer.
3. Goto the Radios Folder and rename the .nbh file to RAPHIMG.nbh
4. Copy the RAPHIMG.nbh file to your microSD Card.
5. Plug the microSD Card into the phone.
6. Press and hold the volume down button, then press the reset button with the stylus. Release the volume down button when bootloader tricolour screen appears.
7. Follow the onscreen instructions to start flashing.
8. After the flash finishes press the reset button with the stylus to reset the device.

Thanks.
I knew I read it somewhere, didn't remember where tho.
I still feel that it should go in the Wiki tho, but there most likely is a reason for it not to, since it isnt there already.

The most likely reason it is not there is because nobody has taken the time to add it yet. All users are allowed to edit the wiki to help keep it up to date.

Initial thoughts - this COULD be my imagination, but my signal strength at my office seems to have increased by 20% or so - 3 bars in lieu of 2 bars...I will try out my GPS next (with GC's Fix applied)....will report back.

I have been flashing exclusively by phone with the same card for a while and cannot all of the sudden. I see it and can read/write on PC, read/write in file explorer, but bootloader goes straight to "Serial". I tried reformatting per the wiki, but no luck. What gives? Can the card be readable in file explorer, but be broken for bootloader?
Any suggestions?
EDIT: Fixed this, I didn't realize phone was less than 50%. I used a great deal of batt this morning I guess. Flashed ok.

[assumption: HardSPL'ed]
Remove the battery from the device to turn it off and put the battery back in but don't turn on the device.
Copy a knonw "working" rom to your SD card and name RAPHIMG.NBH. Place the SD Card in your device.
Hold the Volume Down button and while holding it down, turn the device on. You should enter the Tricolor Bootloader and the NBH file on the SD card will be flashed to your device.

Well...
Ir can be caused by many things... It's actually hard to say why... It could be a bad flash, or some allocation issue on you phone...
If you can't flash another ROM right now you can try [I am not saying it will work] to hard reset... Action + Down + Soft Reset and follow on-screen instructions.
Regarding your question about a «good ROM» recommendation... That's up to you. It depends on your preference, a question of personal taste... It depends on what you expect form a ROM... Etc... No answer to that question
In extremis, if you want to be ABSOLUTELY sure about the ROM version you will use, you can always revert to the stock ROM prior to flashing a cooked one...
Good luck.
Cheers.

Try this procedure:
Remove the battery from the device to turn it off and put the battery back in but don't turn on the device; also remove any SD Card - shouldn't be required since you don't have one at the moment. Connect the device to your computer using a USB cable.
Copy a known "working" rom to your computer, you'll also need the Custom Raphael Flash utility. Rename the rom to RUU_SIGNED.NBH.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=410761
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008
Hold the Volume Down button and while holding it down, turn the device on. You should enter the Tricolor Bootloader; after a minute or so, you should see the word "USB" at the bottom of the screen. If not, there is a problem and you will need to use the SD card approach.
Launch the Custom Raphael Flash utility; it should discover your connected device. Proceed as you did before to flash the RUU_SIGNED.NBH.

Yes, you just rename the file and transfer to SD card as hilaireg stated in the first reply. Then just follow the rest of the instructions from there. And there is always this thread on flashing for all reference and answers.

Ok I'm a little confused. So in order to use this esprimg we need to repeat the same steps again that we did for the eng build or can we simply just put this in the root of the sd card and go into bootloader?
This is the Rom that was On all the TMO employee before Launch!
If you need or have to ask, then likely this wont be much good for you, it's just another Alt. Factory image we have if you want to play with it.. Nothing more
I know it just takes you back to factory but I'd like to know exactly how to do it if ever need be...
Use Wes Rom he Posted..

Yeah for something like that, you will have to use Wes Factory restore..
I am new to the whole rooting of android phones so please don't haze me too badly for potentially asking a stupid question;
I was successful in rooting my mytouch 3g slide and installed slidemr5 rom onto it. I did not like how light the rom was and some other general things i wasn't expecting so i found this thread and used this rom to revert back to the factory settings and it worked great (thanks eugene and wes). I was under the impression i would be using my stock rom and the phone would still be rooted but when I go to install apps that require root it says that I am not on a rooted phone. Is this normal or did I do something incorrectly? If it's normal than is there a way for me to have this build/rom and the phone still be rooted? Again I apologize for asking a dumb question, I've made it pretty far in this entire process w/o having to post on a forum yet..

You made your mistake by not looking at all.
If you want a guide to run you through these things look at droidstyles sticky in the Development section. It explains everything you need to know.
Short of it is you need to check the MD5sum of the radio once you have downloaded it to your phone, you can use apps like AFV from the Play Store to check the MD5. Then boot to recovery (from a powered off state Vol Up, Home, Power), hit install, find the Radio wherever you put/downloaded it and swipe to install, and reboot. Thats it.

Actually shangrila500, I did do some searching as I stated in my OP. I believe the reason I missed was I was searching for the term "radio" not "modem" . My last phone's (Thunderbolt) forums used the term radio instead.
First we had to:
- rename the .zip file: "PG05IMG.zip"
- then we had to put the .zip file in the root directory of our sd card
- reboot
- accept the update
- lastly you had to erase the "PG05IMG.zip" file from the root of the card otherwise you could go into bootloops.
Yeah, it was a bit of hoop jumping to flash radios, thats why I asked if there is a procedure for my new Note2,
Thanks for your walk through, it helps me out greatly (and others) !!! :good::good::good:
