I'm planning to flash my Atom Life to PDAVIET ROM WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.20764 Build 20764.1.4.3
I've never done this before but using SD card, it seems simple.
I'm just wondering, after flashing it, could I unflash it my original OS version? Is there anything I could do to backup my old ROM?

please download your factory default setup software from this site and tehn try best of luck.

Hi! im new to this and I havn't tried to upgrade any ROM for my atom except for the ROM in the o2 website which is the 20060426B1WWE. I have read in the forums that there are a lot of ROM's available for upgrade and as far as I got it right, the AKU 3.3.3 is the final ROM and is stable for the WM5 platform? (kindly correct me if im wrong.) I want to know what is the difference between the AKU 3.3.3 and 20060426B1WWE ROM. Hows is the upgrade process? is it the same? I just download the ROM, run the .EXE file and wait till the upgrade is finished? Would love to know your inputs. tnx!

Take out Device Update Utility from this rom then put in Temp folder in Widnows with ROM that u want to flash back (example 6.1 file)
Run Device Update Utility i will take ROM 6.1 to flash on ur device!

you can try this step
download last official rom from o2 (WM5)...
remove sdcard from device
press reset + camera button (bootloader mode)
connect device to usb
run DSUU from official rom O2..wait until finish
this methode work for me...when downgrade XDA Atom to WM5
Tell u a better way. Start flashing with any WM6.5 rom u got for atom. Just when the new rom loading has begun(few percentage marks), pull out the wire. The updating will stop but your phone will remain in update utility mode (even after restarting) . Now flash with any older version of rom u have. it will work. Trust me. i did the same when i was stuck in the same. Learned from trial and error. It is very tough to brick a phone. Anyone who actually bricks a phone has to be a world renowned supreme certified idiot.
I flashed my phone (HTC Fuze) and I am getting a message that is is going to expire. Is there a cab or registry setting that I can change keep the rom or do I need to flash to a new rom?

you need to give more information. we can't read minds anymore.. that's a special version of the phone that's not given out to the public. what rom did you install, etc..
it was a 6.5 rom I found on xda. its build 21189.5.0.0

Still need a bit more info. Who was the cook of this ROM?
its rom wwe 5.08.502.1
Its all thats in the device info. I flashed it months ago so I dont remember any more info.

I still can't place the ROM you flashed. Just flash a different 6.5 ROM. Theres plenty to choose from.
Any rom that is 21215 or older was a final build and was not time bombed to expire, so flash a rom of 21215 or later and you should not have any problems.
5.08.502.1 was the AT&T Test ROM ... if you are looking for a stock rom, flash the latest version (5.11.502.2).
Otherwise, go with the recommendations in the previous posts as they are all excellent choices.

Uh, considering that you don't know the rom you're using or even which series it is (6.1 vs. 6.5), you should be very careful before the next flash. If, as Hilaireg said, you have the ATT test rom, then I suspect you may have flashed it without ever flashing hard spl. Unless you flash the newly released ATT rom, you will need to flash hard spl first. If you don't know what hard spl is, then, yes, you don't have it and you'll need it to flash any 6.5 rom.
You flashed a WM6.5 beta ROM (21189) which didn't have the timebomb removed by the cook. The 5.08 part means that it used the OEM drivers from the AT&T 5.08 stock ROM. Simple as that.
Anyways, just flash a newer (non-beta) WM6.5 ROM, as stated earlier.

If u r talking bout Atom ( black /pure), i think the rom that u r asking does not exist. all wm6.5 a cooked rom. AFAIK, O2 never release WM6.5 for atom ( black /pure). The last official rom released by O2 was WM5 version 2.2. Any other than that is cooked rom from some great ROM cooker here or somewhere else.. cheers... 73..

yeah keep waiting for the 6.5 clean rom
i tried all roms from pdaviet bluetooth and wifi are not working n the rom is not clean too.

Helloworld1 WM6.5 is good, only issues is unable to send via bluetooth and max. you can have is 2 bluetooth devices......but all WM6.5 for Atom is having that problem, Helloworld's version seems most stable and clean. Anyway, if you need something is set your network provider, you can use the attached file. Install it after you install Helloworld's ROM(B4 is the latest now).
