Hi all
I want to know which of the ROMs that best suit my needs and preferences
There was a question about the best ROM and it is not allowed, so instead of asking, I would like to start a POLL of every ROMs released by the ROM cookers
with some categories like (Performance/Speed, Stability, Free Space, GPS/Radio, 3rd Apps) and also Visual (Themes, TouchFlo3D, Wallpapers)
That way people who just own a Raphael will know which one of the ROMs to try

It is you ROM and your choice but I have to disagree that it does not qualify since your Confuzed ROM is amazing and very very stable as well as quick. You have my vote
ROMeos is the best rom out there by far!
Not to say the other roms are crap, just too loaded down with apps and customization of the chefs preference is not what I like being forced with. Keep ROMeso in the poll - let the other chefs learn from the master..

This is my first attempt to make a Raphael Rom.
Raphael is a very fast ppc with plenty of Ram & Storage, stock
rom is very fast, so cooking roms is only for experimental purposes and flashing Junkies ..
These Roms are beta releases and flashing/testing procedures are for experienced users only !
Use Hard SPL before flashing this rom.
CEOS 20755, 20753 and the latest oem .
My roms works into full kernel mode
There is no need to remove uldr partition (Plenty of Storage)
Always make a hard Reset after flashing a new rom.

Hi swtos, i guess that your light version is more like a naked one with nothing in there!
I would suggest a light with the programs that i mentioned above removed. Can you do something like that? I mean manila, opera (latest version), messenger, AudioManager, Office, Java should stay in!
I don't want to push for anything... take that as an advice!

What does that mean: running in full kernel mode? is that better? Does that also means that other cookers's rom doesn't run in full kernel mode?
There is no setup for t-mobile UK in the connection manager under the lite version. There is a setting for BT-mobile though, which doesn't actually exist in the UK. Selecting this does not create the necessary settings for network connection to t-mobile uk.

Can you pls help ref. a touch problem ? I installed the big ROM and I`m using one reading software where I should change the sides through stroking over the pad. One time it worked and now it is not working anymore. Where do I need to search in order to change it again ?

I've just tried you lite rom - its great cos i can tailor it to exactly how i like it. I have one issue, though. I can't play videos through the Photos and Videos tab of TF3D. Neither videos on the device or on the storage card play. When I click the video, the screen just goes black until I press the back hardware key. Any ideas?

First of all a short story about this ROM:
As a Charmer owner I tried all available WM6/WM6.1 ROM in this forum. All are great, but I wanted to find something like the WM6 Essential edition, but based on WM6.1. Yesterday I decided to cook my own ROM, so I selected ChrBeck's WM6.1 WWE ROM (Thanks for him!) and tried to remove all 3rd party software, but HTC applications.
I also created my kitchen (based on Molski.Biz's Wizard Kitchen - Thanks for him ).
Now, it's only a bunch of scripts, but I'll put together with a short howto and publish it here.

- Upgraded to .NETCF 3.5 (performance increased significantly)
- Added .NET Configurator
- Registry tweaks regarding performance (caches)

Instructions:
Download and run self extracting exe. This will create a directory with the ROM image and the required tools. Run Update_ROM.bat and follow the instructions on the screen (if any).
Remember: You have to flash your device back to WM5 before using this upgrade!

Interesting thing happens:
Installed .NETCF 3.5 in version 0.2 and selected as the default NETCF provider. The result is a significant speed gain!
The plan is to integrate NETCF into the ROM...More comes later.

I know that almost every ROM includes TF, but I wanted to create a clean and fast version of WM6.1.
Maybe once I cannot optimize my ROM any longer, I'll integrate such kind of tools.
PS.: Nice to hear, that you using my ROM on your charmer...
well, still found two things from chrbeck's rom - ugly (and unusable due to missing smartdial) dialer and calc skin
but it's good rom - and a good work, go on with cleanup

As WM6.5 "released" to public, I will focused on to get WM6.5 running on charmer, so 6.1 pure development stopped for now. (but not forever )

Stable, Fast and very nice ROM for my HTC Charmer...
Speed and stability first of all..
Two comment:
1) Bluetooth is not receiving from other PPC machines!
is there a BT fix?
2) Sms threading? possible to add?
This is a WM6.5.1 ROM, based on the 2.08 OEM ROM and 23047 XIP/SYS from Da_G.
All it has got is the bare minimum OEMDrivers, plus a fully featured SYS (some of the SYS applications have been tweaked: removed extra screen layouts for LockScreen, removed SampleMusic etc, UPXed a few things).
The XIP has been tweaked quite heavily to get the best performance, and you should be able to add whatever you like to this ROM and it should remain stable.
Try it and see (and install whatever keyboard you feel like using).
This will probably act as the basis for some "full" ROMs afterwards.

Keep freezing after a while after every window start-up ...
Have done the hard reset after flashing on device, but the prob still same ...

After a quick test I noticed two things:
1. The magnifying effect is on and I'm unable to find a place where to turn it off. This is really annoying!
2. After starting Windows Live and trying to set account details, keyboard went missing and the program failed shutting it down after clicking the screen where keyboard was supposed to be.
3. Once I was unable to start File Explorer from Start menu, restarting the device helped on this matter.
So far then, stabilty isn't great. I could probably fix issues by removing the HTC IME, though then you're left with WMs crappy one....

I'm currently trying to get a stable kitchen (I screwed up my old one) ...
New ROMs + kitchen now in the first post!

I think your 09082804 is very speedy and light. Thank you for giving us new works. By comparing other newer ROMS, this is far better than them.
Would it be possible for you to include teater, msn weather and money? Or, can you provide them as additional cabs?
Also Windows Media Player doesn't have enough codecs. Can you provide a link to download necessary codecs?

One bug: camera.exe doesn't work because of either no sign or missed component.
Thanks l3v5y, just so you know though the kitchen links do not work, and the rapidshare one for the kitchen just has a spelling error.
Are you sure that screen shots in post#1 is for build 23037?
Because I have not "AM or PM" in time&clock setting!
I found that Netfront browser doesn't work at all. Can you guess why it doesn't?

This is the fastest ROM I ever benchmarked. In fact: the first ROM above the 2000 points in my benchmark totals. And it's WM6.5!!!
There are a few remarks though:
- it's a very very light ROM, virtually no applications, no Manila (the latter is just fine for me, I use PointUI)
- the magnifiing thing is very annoying, almost unusable
- in some applications (like Total Commander) there's no OK/Close button anymore
- camera is not working.
But still: very very fast, a new record

I can try and make up some cabs from the OEM packs... I removed that stuff cause it's extra stuff that may not be needed by most.

Those two come from my idiocy, I forgot to include two packages (mHubVO and DirectShow) that include all the codecs for media player and Camera. I'll upload a fixed ROM and those packages for use with the kitchen.

Well spotted, the screenshots are actually from my Diamond 23034 ROM... I haven't taken any screenshots of my 23037 ROM as it's cosmetically pretty similar.

I think user JVH3 developed a cab file to alter the setup of the programs tab...if that is your only issue with the 1st link, then track down that cab and have your ROM...

then you need to hunt down wm6.5.1 ROMs and forget about wm6.1...I use EnergyROM but it may be too loaded for you...

I have the Energyrom, but it's not german
a german version and a orignal style from the EnergyRom would be perfect
I like the Manilla 2.5 and the Energy Rom are great, but my english is very Bad, can any cooker made a Rom like the Energy Rom in German for us.
