it doesn`t show imagen, it`s black andy show the news

I tried several roms and I still have the same issue.
Tried downgrading the radio, didn´t work either...
Could it be the SPL?
I have had the same problem. I have resolved with a new one flash of ROM
SPL is OK !
Just go back to a original rom (incl radio) and after that try again.
If that doesn't work just try a other radio rom.
Most of the roms have different radio requirements
Some need 1.58****
Other need 1.59****
Normaly the rom maker gives that info.
Sometimes the camera malfunctioning is a software issue.
As i experienced it is a hardware issue when you still have the troubles when you go back to original rom and radio rom. Although there are tons of users which get the camera to work after installing some package etc, my defect was loose connections on PCB/CPU or something similar. Thats why the problem starts slow, sometimes it works, somethings it doesn't and in the end it doesn't work at all.
The only thing you can do then... is return it for warranty.

Hi everybody, if someone could help me solving this issue, after upgrading to WM6, both cameras on my Herm100 did not work. (i even made a videocall to my other phone #, my Herm100 did receive the video but transmitted nothing)
the ugrade i used is the one one xda-developers: HTC_TyTN_ITA_3[1].54.258.2_102_6275_1.47.00.10_108.exe, following the procedures i've been reading on this site. I appreciate your work here and hope you could help me with this issue

can you use the back camera to take normal pictures?
no, both cameras not working, i checked if the file camera.exe is missing but it's in the windows directory, the registry seems ok, when i exec the file camera.exe nothing happens.

I have the same problem. It only appeared a week ago while I've been using Schaps 3.54b for couple of weeks now. My back camera is working after a soft reset, but both cameras go blind after starting a video call. The camera application loads okay but the screen is totally black except for the options and other HUD. If I push the on-screen button to go to picture gallery and close it then the back camera starts working again.
I just would like to get my video calling working again. It worked with this rom originally but now something has happened and I haven't installed many applications. Any ideas?

I would try:
1. HR
2. installing a new ROM.
3. repair...

-HR does nothing since it did not work after installing a new ROM
-installing a new ROM could help, i did it indeed, the one that worked had a green screen in camera and i did not like it
-no repair is needed since it works
any other help, maybe some camera software to download?
-I copied files for camera from another working device but I could not replace the files in mine cause the files are READONLY, any suggestions?

this happened to me when i upgraded to wm6, both cameras would not work ie nothing happened when I pressed the camera button or the icon, anyway after hrs of messing around it still was`nt working, so I had enough and just left the phone switched off till the next day....So next day came I tried the phone again and to my suprise the camera now works I did nothing to it but leave it switched off till the next day, now someone tell me what thats all about. not had a problem since

sorry, didnt notice you tried it before.
to overwrite files use:
resco explorer or total commander(free)
ok, i tried using both but since the file are located in the ROM it's not possible to replace them. I think i'll have to downgrade to WM5.

uncheck hidden files and system files.
I have replaced many ROM files with this method.
many users did it - resco will ask you for permission to replace the file.

i have the files ready, i tried to put them in the upload directory but i had "permission denied", any suggestions? i quitted working with computers two years ago and maybe now i'm a bit rusty ;-)

To copy to the pda use Resco Explorer and you don´t have any problem.
I downloaded the files and replaced in my tytn but the videocall isn´t work fine..i can´t send any image to the other phone..

I've had the same problem since flashing to Black Satin in mid-July. No sign of life from either camera. Running the camera exe directly does literally nothing. Problem does not yield to:
- SR/HR
- Any ROM reflash, including old ROMS that definitely used to work.
- Radio flash etc
To be honest I've let it go, but might have another play at some point...

Please help me fix the camera of my Cingular 8125 G4 device. After I flashed a new rom using soft SPL method, which I think G4 safe rom, the camera is not working. When I press the camera button, I only see the spinning circle with different colors and the screen lights up a little bit than the normal brightness and stuck it there. And after a few seconds, the phone hangs up. Need to soft reset in order to put back the device in a functional state. I don't know why this happened as I followed all the necessary steps in using softSPL upgrade method. Maybe there is something wrong in the device registry. Does anyone has the same camera problem. Please share the tricks, tweaks or anything just to bring back the camera function again.
BTW, I reflashed back the official cingular stock rom but no luck at all its the same.
I see that you are using the TNT ROM, so I would to and flash UP to the newest version and see if that fixes your problem, it sounds like the camera software and drivers are not getting installed for some reason.
I reflashed the tnt rom but no good. Tried also to go back to the original cingular stock rom but still not working. Even in the windows\camera cannot make it. But when tried not to use the device for a some hour in standby mode, the camera works for a while then it hangs up. And go back to non-functional state.
Sir, what you think is the problem? I suspect its the software installed in the device based on what the camera behave. Or definitely the hardware itself and need to replace. Bad for me because I am living in the Philippines and as far I knew there is no service available in our country.

Try using the wizard service tool to increase your page pool to 6mb.

when i flash this rom v3.3.1_3g_16_keys or the Insomnia 3G, i get problems with my dialer, When i press the phone button or try to dial a number i get a crash screen? it is not working. what to do?
I flashed to Radio 1.71.09.01 and also with this radio the 3G version roms are not working, the dialer part, still the blur sreen when i press the send button or try to dial a number!
The Insomnia - 2G are running without any problem at all? or the current one, is running smooth on my Niki 100 >>> Clean Black 6.5.2
Why i cant run the 3G roms? video dialer not supported in my country? or what - please any comments!

Finally someone who is dealing with the same problems as I had.
I had the same problems with my other Nike, I could flash the original rom's or a 2g version but not the 3g version.
The problem wasn't 3g but only the dialer.
Randomelements suggest me to see if I had some bad blocks by using mtty, I didn't try that option because I sold my Niki, and now, after a short period of using an Iphone (that I didn't like at all) i finally have a Nike which is not having that issue.
I know it drives you mad because nobody has having that problem, the only thing I did was searching for a dialercab and I always installed it after I flashed a 3g rom.
I know this is not a real solution but I'm very curious if you can fix this issue.
(or maybe you get your hands on my old Nike )

I always use the customRUU with hard / soft reset option build in when i flash and i do a hard reset...
Good this possibly make any sense if do or not reset hard....
i have the same problem. i think it is insomnia 3.x problem.
in my case after hard reset i flashed new rom - ok,
i set up all settings, install xt9 - rom stuck. ok, hardreset.
set up again, is ok, but after 1 day it can't boot. ok
hardreset, flash again, hardreset, no set up, using clean rom,
next day can't boot up.
flash new radio, newest, older, the same problem.
fail.
flash NIKI Clean Black - works perfect - fast and smooth.
Are you guys flashing back to an original rom?
My niki was stuck in a loop not too long back, would not boot up properly, thought it had given up the ghost, it is a company phone so was going back to original t-mob rom. But this cured my problem, phone now works fine with any rom.
Try it, get an original rom, flash back, then try anything.

But i still have the problem with the strange behaviour of the dialler, When i press the phone button or try to dial a number i get a crash screen?
A blur image - and nothing is working in the dialler screen.
I did all what could help, reinstall the original rom, flash SPLL / Hard / radio etc.. but without suc6..
I have installed this one: cleanblack 6.5.2 - animelover and this is working fine, no dialer problems at all.....
Maybe the video dialler in the 3G is the problem for me, i will try this weekend the 2G - 230XXX version..
The 2G versions are working... and i try a few others also no problem, but i didn't like them....
My current is the best for me right now, clean and quick, i love the Clean Black rom 6.5.2 and animelover is building a new version...

Ok I'm trying to help you, because I had the same issue, I read something in the thread but I need to know if your problem only excist with the Insomnia-rom because I don't think it is a problem whith the Insomnia-rom.
My phone had the same issue with almost all the 3g rom except the original, that's the reason I couldn't bring the phone back for repair.
I tried several rom's wm6.1 and wm6.5 from randomelements, salvyC, Insomnia, Davideuck etc etc and all the 3g roms gave me a scrambled screen on the dialer, the solution I offered you to add a 3g dialer after flashing was working for me, I found the 3g dialer in the 4shared folder from NemanjaLo.
As I told you before, that is not a real solution, I thought the 3g version from Gullum didn't gave me a scrambled screen, but I'm not sure about that.
If you do have the same problems as I wrote above, I think you have to try the mtty procedure as randomelements suggested me.
You can find that here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=390606 but plse be carefull otherwise your phone ends as a doorstop and I don't think it is worth it.

You're right it is to tricky to use mtty that is the reason I didn't go for it to.
About flashing I don't think it make any sense because I start with hardspl-1.15mfg-nike.nbh and I had the same problem.
The only thing I know is that my Nike came from KPN but I don't know that is the problem.

That is funny, mine came from HI / KPN that could be the similarity, so we have a point, that might be all KPN / HI phones are fixed some how?

I have a sprint touch pro (raphael) and so far its was working perfectly but all of a sudden the phone resets itself after 10-20sec. after getting a GPS lock in google maps and Tomtom 7. recently Tomtom says no GPS device...
Well I backup the registry every couple of apps/tweaks i install... but even when i restored the registry from when it was working fine... still the self reset issue occurs.
any idea as to what gives???
I did recently install bike dashboard and i think that was the culprit... even after uninstalling it, and restoring previous registry, the phone still is experiencing the same issue.
Keep in mind that if I dont use any software using GPS... the phone works fine!
I want to see If i can troubleshoot the issue before I hard reset it (then I'll have to waste a whole day just resetting it and installing all the apps/tweaks to get it back to what it was before)

its happened to me, & others i know. flash a new updated radio & it should fix your problems.
I had the same issue... I just updated the ROM to the latest official Sprint Rom from their website & all is well. Your mileage may vary.
yea updating the stock rom will include the radio they included in the rom package. any custom roms dont flash a new radio. so flash a new radio & you'll be good =]

without a reason - my friend doesn't install any application or change something on the phone.
I did soft and hard rest and i change the rom to Energy.Leo.21916.Sense2.5 and it's the same annoying issue,
I have to mention that the Touchscreen respond without a problem - in SMS, menu and etc...

Hello!
I had the same issue with Stock ROMs. Since I am using cooked ROM all my annoying not reasonable problems disappeared. Do not hesitate to flash more than one ROM to test them, also new RADIO is recommended.
Do not forget to use task29 before you flash a new ROM, and after flashing to make a hard reset. They can make miracles
also try the Energy 23699 or 29017 ROMs after task 29 & hard reset straight after new ROM has booted. Flash a recommended radio as suggested in first Energy post & see if it cures the problem.
I assume once unlock your screen functions normally ? if not & a full reflash with task29 & HardReset doesn't fix it you probably got touch screen hardware issue.
