I have a Niki100 which does not go past the Smart Mobility screen(it gives the Rom numbers and Radio info as well).
I found one other case on the site which was solved by flashing a Ship ROM.
The device is HTC branded but in Italian Language. I need an HTC Ship ROM so I can Boot and then Go with HardSPL (and forth).
I downloaded a different Ship ROMs but none works for it. I get the INVLAID VENDER ID message. The Device is CID locked to ITA I believe and so far I have not been able to find HTC Ship ROM in Italian language.
Even in HTC.com if I select Italy as Country there is no ROM update to download.
If any body could help, with an HTC Branded ITA Ship ROM or some way to get past the Smart Mobility screen, I would really appreciate.

You need the ROM from your phone provider, not just in Italian.

Hungarian ROM in the UK
Bought my vario 2 on e-bay and it did not come with a CD I have called up T-mobile and they wont give me one. When I switch on my phone it says "test only not for sale"...I basically looking to reinstall the t-mobile uk rom hoping that it will removed this message but can not find it anywhere. Is this Hungarian ROM going to work on a uk phone ? Are the GPRS & 3G settings the same ?
I am clueless any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I guess you got a preproduction hermes version with a super cid and 300mhz processor...just look in the hermes wifi in preproduction section...and you will get all of ur answer....

Very interesting. The very first T-Mobile Hungary ROM that has ever hit the internets.
(T-Mo Hu never releases ROMs... if you want an upgrade, you have to take it to the service and let them do it... they still sell their Wizards with AKU 1.1.1 ROMs)
Update works
Updated my Dutch T-Mobile MDA Vario II (2).
Took some time, first made Super CID and SIM lock free.
After upgrade the regional settings are indeed Hungarian but the ROM itself is English.

I've just updated my (I think is the right term) rom using
RUU_HERMES_HTC_WWE_1[1].35.255.2_1.35.255.102_1.08.00.10_SHIP.
Now the installation was fine but some of the original setting on the t-mobile rom are missing, like the quick launch 'running program' button on the screen, the 3g connection symbol as well as a few quick launch icon that use to be at the top of the main screen ' web & walk , contacts, notes. These have all disappeared, is there a way of getting the t-mobile vario 2 setting back or at least a way of configuring the keys to how it was with t-mobile. I think what i've currently got is the HTC original rom hence the HTC logo when I now turn the phone on.
just wondered how this rom compares to "HTC South Africa Version: 1.35.255.2" ??

From what i got, i suppose this is the last avaiable update from htc for the tytn:

Is it correct?the fact that its from htc means that i can flash it without unlocking the tytn, without making it a supercid?am i wrong?

Tnx ruddur, but i already looked there, i was asking if the rom i said its the last one from htc, if i can flash it in my not branded tyth htc without making it super cid (and making void the warranty)...
And another question about the rom:i read is from htc south africa, does it means that the cid is not matching my english tytn or not?

All your questions are answered in the wiki, and in the relevant thread for this rom. It is actually the last shipped rom available here from HTC, it can be flashed in any Hermes device with bootloader 1.04 or CID "QTEK_001" and it will put bootloader 1.09 on your device if you flash it.
If you plan to use any ROMs that don't match the CID on your device you should better CID unlock it first, or make sure you have a way to downgrade the bootloader to 1.04.
As said, read the wiki before asking the same questions over and over again, it's all explained in the wiki.

Hello from South Africa,
Now that we have been advised by HTC Europe of a new ROM at the end of January, I suggest you hold on a bit longer.
This will be a major upgrade as can be seen on the threads.

My Ameo can not accept the HTC VM6 ROM ( only 0%$ or 1% of Upgrading),reported error massage"Vender ID" it over and is stuck in Bootloader with 3 color of the screen . Hard reset does not start the normal "installation"

Same thing happend with me. No WM ROM available for my CID so I had to send it back. Damn I regret I did not unlock before ROM-flash'ing !
Maybe your telephone supplier can provide you with the original ROM installer ? Mine did not

Hi, I think what you need is the unlocker. Search sticky for HardSPL.
I have touch dual bought from HK which has traditional Chinese version. I flashed with WWE 6.1 first and after the release of ASIA WWE 6.1, I reflashed the newer version. Both of them run well..But I always feel that my icons in my phone look not very good...Can you please post your screen capture after flash?

i use this metod to unbrick my phone!
for me it works..
put phone in bootloader mode ,deactive active sync,run mtty and imput command... boot..
Thanks for the advice, but none of these ideas work for me. I have a P5520 Hong Kong WWE that I attempted to flash the new 6.1 OS. Unfortunately, it bricked but I can still get into the boot loader screen. But I cannot load any ROM's that I have now with the bootloader screen - all attempts result in Vendor ID errors.
mtty also did not help.
So, I think the only way out of this is to find a copy of the original Hong Kong WWE ROM.

It depends on if it's a branded one and in which country it was bought.

If it's a branded one you can uses HSPL4 (HSPL3.03) to install another ROM 3.14 than the one which was designed for your device.

If it is from Australia, than it might be a Telstra model T9193.
Therefor the latest official ROM is the one which is installed on your HD2.
Go to bootloader screen and look at the first line, PB81110 is the Telstra number.
If you want to switch to ROM 3.14, you have to use HSPL4 and your desired ROM from here.

If it shipped with a 1.66 rom, then it's unbranded, so its only the localisation to get right.
