I wanted to share my conversation with PDair with all of you. Beware when purchasing items from them because things may not always be as they appear on their site. This is in reference to: http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_900000_11000495&products_id=12415

I understand that but how am I to know that before I purchase it? The entire point isnt the correct usage, it is misrepresented on your site so I thought I could use the phone wihtout having to remove/open the case to do so becasue it is described as "Easy access to all buttons and features". The primary featture ona TOUCH phone is the touch screen which is not accessible.
I am not asking for a refund, I am asking for you to change your description to let people know that the only feature you can use on the device while it is closed in the case is answering the phone. I will not be purchasing any more items from you because if this issue and your obvious disregard for my issue. In addition, I am a very active member of several communities dedicated to mobile devices and will also let them know they should use caution when purchasing such items from PDair because of this issue.

Hello
Below is my recent order. I would like to express my dislike in the product your marketed and sent. I have no problems with the quality of the aluminum case. In fact i really like all the products you have sold me in the past. The problem I have is that I purchased this case when it is described as "Easy access to all buttons and features". I suppose one can read this in many ways but i read it as easy access to my device's touch screen. I do not feel the touchscreen is accessible at all so I have basically taken the case off my phone and it is placed in a drawer and I am forced to buy a different case. I cannot use my phone and this case and I feel is was misrepresented.

i can't really see the problem.
they got pics from it and you can see you need to open it.
Dude! What good is a protective casing that doesn't protect the screen?? Off course there is a transparant shield of some kind to prevent scratching!

Wow isnt that a tad harsh for my desire to come here and protect you against something I feel is a bit less descriptive than it should be? Is this forum not for a community of folks to watch each others backsides and share useful information for the betterment of our wallets and devices? I was nice to them in my initial email and praised my proir purchases for them to turn around and disgard my concerns with a "lesson" on how to use the case I obviously know how to use now that I have it lol. The better response would have at least been to admit the fact the description could have been better. Shoot I even told them I didnt want a refund so I wasnt in it for the money either.

Do you have a screen protector? If not i suppose I understand how you dont understand that the touch screen is functional with it on. please define what a screen protector is to you.... isnt it a transparant piece of plastic (which is all they describe this as)?? if you put a screen protector on the screen what happens?? You can still use the touch screen. How in the world would you know that you cant use the touch screen on this?

All cases open do they not? If they didnt how would you get the device in Im sorry but you need to be far more careful with your words when selling items like this. Perhaps you guys were not confused at all by the false advertising but I was. Does that make you smarter than me?? Perhaps Does it make their product description accurate?? Absolutely not. Would my argument hold up in a court of law, youbetcha thanks for listening

no i agree, i totally get your point... I am just not as analytical as you guys are (the root word being anal hehe JK). But there are others like me in the world that just dont see things the same so as a business or supplier you should always assure your clients are clear. Hey I totaly accept I may be moronic (and my wife would agree) but part of me believes im not the only moron in the world lmao.
Thanks Mallman for letting me know. I am looking for a case, and at least I will avoid this item.

After watching that video, not only do I agree with mallman on the fact that people shouldn't have to zoom and analyze product pictures to decipher the real meaning behind the written product description, but the case is also of a really idiotic design.
They've got neat little holes cut out for the softkeys and the screen, and you can change the volume and pull out the stylus with the case closed, but (as far as I can see from the video) you can't use the stylus for anything without opening the case, nor can you actually PRESS the hardware keys from the hole in the bottom. Why not just cover them up, when the case is closed? I understand the hole for the screen, I can think of many situations where I only want to quickly see what's happening on the screen (although I'd apparently have to open the case then, too, to press the power key to turn the screen on again), but I can't think of a situation where I'd need to check up on the icons on the softkeys, seeing as for the whole time I've used the Blackstone, they have never ever changed.
I was actually considering ordering this case before I stumbled upon this thread, so thank you mallman and sydneysider, you guys just saved me $28.
Yes thank you. I too have seen this and assumed you could tap the screen through the cover, as you do a stick on screen cover.
in the spirit of fairness i must share PDair's following response to me. Keep in mind all I wanted is some sort of acknowledgment from them. they are back in my good graces

What for a purpuse has the cutout for the stylus if you can not use it when the case is closed ... just to get the stylus out before you open it ?

Hey mallman, thnx for the warnin'. I am lookin' at that case, since my phones are in for a rough time, and was wondering whatcha think about the quality of the beltclip and if that plastic screen could be punched out fairly easy.
Other: since the thing is about to spend a bit of time on my belt, I can't help, but wonder about the closing mechanism, that is keeping the lid closed. Looks pretty flimsy - not well protected from accidental openings.
Also, does it have any effect on the radio/phone/GPS reception-functions
Thanx!

I was thinking exactly the same, I can see that closing clip catching on something and either;
accidently being opened
ripping the lid off, or
ripping the phone off my trousers and falling on ground.
I have been looking for an alternative.
The ArmorCase by Boxwave also has a similar 'hard' protection over the screen.
http://www.boxwave.com/products/armorcase/armor-case-htc-touch-hd_3387.htm
I can see the advantage of having the hard protection, however I think the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

has less chance of accidently coming off your belt/trousers than a 'smooth' one like this
I was going to purchase one of their cases but then I saw one come up for sale second hand never used on another forum i frequent as the guy changed his mind about it.
Awesome I thought and bought it. 3 days later it turns up and I see it has a screen in there, I was completely surprised by this as I wasn't aware of it when I bought it and I like you thought there was a cutout not a hard screen there. Contacted the seller and it turns out that was the reason he was selling it, he didn't expect the screen either.
So you're not the only one, I really do think it's an idiotic design, especially having the hinge on the right hand side, with the majority of the worlds population being right handed it would make much more sense to have the hinge on the other side, I'll admit I do have big hands but I can't use the phone in the case even when it's open properly, I have to take it completely out of the case.
I'm confident it would offer good protection which is why I bought it after dropping and having a less than 2 month old touch pro smash on me, but I can't live with the awkwardness of the design so the case lives in the bottom of my drawer.
One thing I suggest you try is just pop the screen out which is what I did within 2 minutes of getting mine, makes the case a lot more practical !
Be warned though without the thickness of the screen in there the phone is free to move back and forth a few mm inside the case unless maybe you put something behind it?
Happy user of the PDair metal case. Protects my HD perfect. I like the "plastic screen protector". That and the allu material was one of the reasons that i bought the case. I dont have the problem of a "moving" HD in the case. There was a topic over the allu case so...

actually i believe you could toss your phone off a building with the aluminum case. If you are not worried about usability then this is the case for you. Screen is very sturdy as is the rest of the case and it is well padded as well. I say go for it if what you are seeing is ultimate protection. It actually closes pretty tightly and wont accidentally open. Also, your phone is very snug in there so it isnt going to move around either.
the belt clip... well its just a belt clip lol. nothing special there at all. Holds pretty tight though

Shame it isn't listed for the Orbit 2.
I have been using one on my Ipod touch and it really is excellent and feels right for touch screen.
I once got an Invisible Shield for my 750 and returned it. The material felt very sticky and grainy and I felt it more suited to smartphone(non-touch) devices.
I have ordered one and am waiting for to apply. Having browsed in Kaiser and Elf forum that the Shield is good for protection against scratch. There are posts said that it is quite tacky while some others claimed there is no problem for stylus using.
if you have the full bodyshield wont u lose the rub feeling on the back?

I've got one on my IPOD, and it does great. However, I'm not sure it would be a good fit for the TC. They are a bit "tacky", so I don't think that it would work well. I do recommend that you get one for anything that's not touch screen though. I think that the full body version would actually make the device a bit easier to hold. My 8125 felt more secure in my hand with the Invisible shield on than the TC does with it's rubberized back.
One thing to note, the whole body shield on my 8125 eventually got dirty around the edges and I couldn't get it cleaned. This was mostly around the areas that were getting the most abuse though. I eventually took those pieces off since they wouldn't stick anyway.
I'm waiting/hoping for Boxwave to come come out with their screen savers for the TC. I've got one on my old Cingular 8125, and it fits great (almost a perfect fit..no discernable gap around the edges). And they are touch friendly also. They have a "Krystal" clear version, which I'm using, and one that's supposed to help with glare. I don't use it cause I think it distorts the picture some.

I actually bought the kit as well. Currently I am using the martin fields screen protector and its looking and working great.
I have 1 concern with the invisible shield, the solution spray.
Do you guys feel comfortable getting a liquid onto your device. Am I missing something here. You are supposed to spray your device and spray the shield with this solution as part of the process of applying it and pulling out all the bubbles.
I really dont feel comfortable spraying a liquid on an expensive device.
Your thoughts on this.

you spray the liquid on the skin/shield... i've used their products on just about every PPC/Smartphone i've had in the past 2 years without any problems... unfortunately, they don't have a shield for the O2 Orbit 2 version (yet).
Great thread! I desperately want an Invisible Shield to protect my entire Cruise, but I also desperately don't want to sacrifice too much TouchFLO performance when using application such a TouchPal, Tengo Thumb, etc.
Would anyone with an Invisible Shield be able to comment on how realistic (or otherwise) the following video would be with one installed?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yTN4wC_ml8
I think a video is the best way to objectively judge how badly the sensitivity problem might affect some people and not others (youTube certainly helped me understand with video driver/TomTom problem).
I have had the Invisible Shield on my Touch Cruise for a couple of days now. I got the full body which does a pretty good job of covering it. It does not cover the bottom area where the usb port and mic goes. I don't know why they forgot this area but I am happy with it. I usually use a stylus with letter recognition and the only thing I have noticed is for opening the cube I have to press a little harder. I tried like in the video and it works that way. I would try it you have nothing to lose they have a 30 money back guarantee. I use it on several devices and I am happy with it.

Excellent, thank you so much for the feedback, mpf54!
Did you notice any problems at all with the Cruise recognizing all of your finger taps after applying the Invisible Shield? Or were you able to type at a similar speed as before you applied the shield?
I use a stylus usually. There was a little getting used to it being covered. But all that was is I have to press a little harder. I like it.
Well I got my shield and was very excited to try it out on my TC. Directions are pretty straight forward so you think its going to be simple, wrong. After 30 minutes I had only installed the back piece and it looked really bad. The sides are almost impossible to line up perfect and seem a tad bit short in width. After using a lamp, blowdryer, and tongs I finised putting all the pieces on the device. The instructions say to allow 24 hours so that the pieces attach to the device. I finished at 7pm and let it set till 7am the next morning. I must admit the next day the device looked much better then the night before. I was excited to test out my device then noticed after all the precautions I took there was dust underneath right in the middle of the screen. Then I noticed that the bottom part of the device is not protected. I decided to take advantage of the 30 day refund policy and am going to send it back. I think that for this device the pieces are just to difficult to align and a tad bit off. I love invisible shield products I have one on my ipod, but for the TC I do not recommend unless you are a very meticulous and attention orientated person.
While I will admit is is knid of a pain to put on the full body. I am happy with mine. It took several days for it to look really good but it does.

It is a pain to put on the full body but all you really need is the screen cover. I think this is the best one you can get. It took a a while to put it all on but it looks gook and the protection is great.
Bought myself an Invisible Shield screen cover and I must admit I'm pretty satisfied. Better than the original screen cover. Much less fingerprints (plus it's much more easier to get rid of them) and although it takes some time to get used to it, the overall perception is good. Would recommend it.

At the moment i'm using a brando metal case. Do you think inv.shield can give the same protection to the screen? I've watched almost all videos on youtube about inv.shield and never saw any video that tried to test a PDA-phone touch screen in the same way as we can see on iPod at the official video. I'm pretty sure an ipode screen (covered by plexy) it much more stronger than an "avarage" touch screen. So those videos will never be a good example for us. By the way... have you seen the new case-mate case for iPhone yet? I really want a cover like that. I hope those guys will make for Polaris too
i have emailed Zagg the makers of the invisibleSHIELD which you can get for many htc device and others.

Hello Harry,
Thank you for contacting ZAGG, where we are Zealous About Great Gadgets! My name is Stephen and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
We had a device in our office when we created the design last week. The reason why we only offer the front screen is because when we placed the invisibleSHIELD on the back, it peeled the paint. We are doing more testing on it, because the device we received was a dummy so we want to make sure with the actual device. We do not have a time frame of when we will have that testing done, because the device is expensive, it will take awhile to figure it out if it is necessary or not.
I do apologize for the inconvenience as it is not the answer you were hoping for. If you have any other questions, feel free to contact us again.
Thank you for choosing ZAGG. We appreciate your business!

the white version is coated with teflon which is the current slippiest substance known to man. I got a feeling that they might have trouble sticking stuff with contact glue.
yeah thats exactly what they told me. That they had tried to stick a shield but it would not work....
I actually saw some full body coverage on eBay but don't see it listed on the official Zagg site yet. So not sure if it's legit or not.
EDIT: My bad - the eBay listing isn't the ZAGG InvisibleShield, just a similar product by Clear Protector. URL: http://www.clearprotector.com/htc-hero-extended-protector.html

Cheers - I ordered the Clear Protector instead. Not a fan of Zagg IS.
I got a invisibleshield from zagg- hugely unimpressed. They are a nightmare to apply (literally hours), they *gain* air bubbles over time, the edge accumulates dust and dirt, and the adhesion clearly isnt that great- the top corner of mine has moved, crinkling that edge. Sure, nothing's going to get scratched but this is totally not worth it.
in its defense, it doesn't show smudges easily, which is nice. But thumbprints are just as bad as without the shield, making that more or less moot. I'm going to get a soft pouch instead and would reccomend the same to others.

Seconded, I got one for a friends LG Cookie not long ago and it was terrible, although it didn't take me long to put together it just didn't even seem like it was worth the money for what it did and made the phone feel too weird. Not too long after the edges started to peel, get a pouch.
Hi,
Recently I ordered the invisibleshield full body coverage (http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/htc-hero-cases-screen-protectors-covers-skins-shields.php) on zagg web site and didn't seen the warning about the paint:
Warning! If you have a painted HTC Hero, the invisibleSHIELD could peel the paint

I own the white version of the Hero but I didn't know what they mean about "peel the paint"....
So I contacted them :
Question:
Hello,
Thanks for the reply but you don't answer my question. The fact is that there is a problem with the full coverage and the HTC Hero:
According to Zagg web site: "Warning! If you have a painted HTC Hero, the invisibleSHIELD could peel the paint"
So my question was more precise: will the painting be damaged by the full coverage on my htc hero (the white version)?
Best regards.

Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting ZAGG, where we are Zealous About Great Gadgets! My name is Stephen and I appreciate the opportunity to assist you.
The warning is for those that customize or modify their HTC Hero with acrylic paint. The invisibleSHIELD will peel it, the warning does not state, it will peel the paint of the device. I hope that clears up any worries that you have, if you have any other concerns, feel free to contact us again.
Thank you for choosing ZAGG. We appreciate your business!
All the best,
Stephen

Well....I think it's a weird answer because I'd never heard about that kind of customization and because the warning only concern the hero
Anyone think (like me...) that it's not safe for the teflon (and not for the acrylic paint as supposed by zagg...), to use the full body coverage according to the warning ?
I applied the Zagg 'full cover' to my Hero last night, it was dead easy to apply, but I'm rather unimpressed with the design. They go to great lengths on the website to stress how the IS wraps around the device keeping it safe, but not on the Hero, the edges - the bits that are going to be the most susceptible to chipping and knocking - are left uncovered.
It hadn't occured to me before I applied it, but I hope the screen doesn't become too 'tacky' to glide a finger across, as that would rather defeat the object of a touchscreen!
Applied my clear protector last night (screen only, didn't apply the back film) and I must say I am impressed with the slickness of the material's texture - in comparison to the Zagg I.S. it is a lot smoother when sliding your finger/thumb across it. One thing though is that Zagg I.S. is cut a lot better than the Clear Protector but it's not too bad. If I was going to choose between the two, I'd definately go for Clear Protector.

what do you mean? The invisible shield doesnt provide a full coverage of the phone? I am still deciding between clear protector and invisible shield.
I also have a clear protector.
At first I wasnt too impressed. The cut on the screen is around 1mm too small along each edge, and a few mm short in length on the rear.
Althought after a few days it has grown on me and seems a part of the phone, phone has lost its smooth touch on rear case, but the protector is very protective!!! I tried a knofe on it as they do on youtube vids. And it really does do a great job, shame it doesnt protect the edges where it would be likely to get damaged when dropped.
Just received an email from Clear-Coat today, who manufacture a similar product, saying that they now have a version for the Hero:
http://www.clear-coat.com/product.php?productid=616&cat=51&page=1
While I was waiting for the InvisibleSHIELD to arrive, I managed to scratch quite noticeably to the right of the speaker outlet (i.e. the metal panel just above the screen). My fault, fair enough. However, I was a bit disappointed when I received the shield as this little metal panel around the speaker is the ONLY area that no protection was supplied for at all.
I figured that I was just going crazy - why leave such an obvious place unprotected? Looking back at zagg.com, it's actually reasonably clear from the picture of the Hero on their page so my fault for not researching properly.
Maybe the shield can't stick to the metal but it's a bit of a shame.... I also have an InvisibleSHIELD for my BlackBerry Bold and was quite impressed that in addition to the big chunks of shield for the larger areas like the back and screen, little bits of cover were supplied basically to make sure as much as possible of the whole body and frame is covered. It also seems a better fit than the Hero shield - adding to a previous comment, it's not quite as good a fit as I was hoping.
I also have the Zagg Invisble shield, but the metal parts are uncovered.
For me it is important to protect the whole phone. That's why I buy the full body. But they have left de metal parts uncovered! And that for $25
Overall I've really liked my Defender--I just found a "new" feature where the belt clip can stay open for even MORE kickstand options!--but it's a little bulky, the battery is a ***** to remove, and already, even though I've been very careful with the case (barely left the house since I bought it since I've been home studying all day!) there are noticeable white "specks" on the screen and the bottom latch that holds the two plastic pieces together has broken somewhat!
Again, I've loved the protection (though one last thing that bugs me is how the screen protector is cut a hair too low at the top). Think Best Buy will honor the return, no questions asked, etc? I've still got the receipt, box, etc., and it's within the return period (30 days).
Thanks for any advice, including alternate great-protection cases with less bulk and/or easier to take off to do a battery pull!
Panamaniac
PS: the "speck" is out of focus, sorry. There are several like this that I can't seem to remove. Cant even tell if they're on the inside, outside, are a scratch, or what!!
The only complaint I really have is the height of the case next to the screen. It makes hitting those corners on the touchscreen too difficult.
Other than that, I have been pleasantly surprised. I will still probably switch it out when the Kraken II or Ballistic is unleashed.
Yes best buy will let you return it the otterbox defender rip off my invisible shield and best buy was like o sorry and she returned it
yeah the will. I returned mine with some nicks on it and they took no questions asked. I really dont need that much protection right now..once I start my job again then I will pick it up until then im rocking a TPU case and it works amazing. Ive dropped my phone onto my houses doorway edge and nothing was hurt or broken.
Ya touching the sides is difficult at times, and that's been annoying.
Thanks for the info on easy returns, I might do just that...
Snarebum, when you say TPU, I know that refers to a certain material (the fake silicone stuff right), but do you also mean a super-cheap one or what? what case did you get?
they are not super cheap material as far as I can tell..
heres the one I bought and I absolutely love it!
http://www.amazon.com/TPU-Cases-Flexible-Sprint-Retail-Packaging/dp/B0053NWDO0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310786932&sr=8-1
Im prolly going to get his name wrong but OneStepAhead on here makes them. thats who I ordered mine from.
heres his website: http://tpu-cases.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=7
I have been waiting long time for a cheaper alternative, and today I found this case on Ebay.
So I just ordered it through free shipping, normally it takes 2 weeks to get free shipping stuff

Even though I agree with you, I still think it is kind of unique and the colors mix is nice.
Alright here we go.. I purchased this on the 21st and got it today which is not bad considering it came from China. I'm not that great writing a product review so I hope pictures speak louder than words.
I'll just describe the product instead of listing the pros. All around this case is pure plastic, I can't put my thumb on it but it is plastic and screen side (with the window) is flexible (just like the OEM). The window is not glass so it'll be prone to scratches and finger prints. Comparing to the OEM case I feel that the window quality is pretty sturdy because the plastic window doesn't feel cheap when I bend it, tap it, or flick on it. Continuing on the front side, there is a speaker hole so you can listen on to calls. There is a indented quote "design endows product a life" midway below the case. And at the bottom.. yes it a metal button just like the metal design/quality of the home button of the actual phone.
Moving to the side, just like the OEM, there's indented prints for the + and - volume keys. Nothing much else to look here.
On the back, the Baseus logo is indeed metal and has a nice feel when you smooth your finger over it. The camera and lens is kept protected with the case on so it's not protruding out.
Functionality of the S-View: the two metal pins on the back of the case is indeed for the control of the sleep and awake feature for the phone. So when I close/open the S-view, it will awake or sleep and will show the regular OEM functions (i.e. S-View slide to unlock, camera, action memo, and music player shows up).
Cons:
three things that bug me about this case. Metal button in the front (really?), as you can see in the photos the case does not fully close all the way (won't bother me as much because the sleep function will works), and since it's flexible plastic I feel that the flap (the side plastic) overtime will wear out and rip.. well that just normal wear and tear of products.
Overall I'm actually very satisfied with this product. I didn't want to purchase the OEM S-view case and sought better alternatives for the S-view cases. I found this and I'm truly again satisfied. Try it guys.. for $20 it's worth it. It comes in different colors (I didn't find full colors, only two-toned). Let me know if you guys are getting it!!
Sorry of the pictures are showing up side ways, I'm not sure why it is. (pictures taken with Note 2)
For a Chinese product it doesn't look bad. Please keep us updated on durability. If Spigen doesn't release theirs soon I might consider this one.

In your pictures it looks as though when laid on its back the front cover holds open slightly. Is the hinged portion of the case a soft material that possibly could break in over time?

Like I said in the description. The case opens out a little bit, but after a day use of it, the case gotten use to being closed completely in my pocket and now it's closed all the way now. And like I said before, I can't find the specific name for the quality, but it's flexible plastic and from what I'm seeing the cover inside material is fabric so I wouldn't think the hinge will rip that easily.
TPU?

Good cover.
However on the front case there is not the hole for the home button. So the front case may not close properly.

What does that mean? Are you using a protruding home button sticker or something.
I have one of these too. I'm pleased with it, considering the price of it versus the S-view. I'm hoping over time the case will stay closed better.

Home button on ALL Samsung Galaxy models are protruding by default.
Bought one in White and Black. Really good cover. Does what the original cover does. The front of the cover does close properly for me and the home button doesn't cause the front to stay open. The only thing that was annoying me was the s view window has scratches on it already

Just came across this new case while browsing Amazon to see if any new Idol 3 accessories have been produced. And to my luck there was. I was going to post this in the already created thread about posting which case you already own or want, but I feel creating a new thread informing those of new items would bring different cases/accessories more attention. Available in 10 color combinations and it includes a free tempered glass screen protector. No mention on the hardness scale of it however. Also includes a holster and kickstand. The case also has covers for the headphone jack and charging cable to prevent any dust getting in them. Anyways, here's the case:

I wish there was the same case for 4.7 but they're not going to produce it, only for 5.5

These cases seem to be newly released. Give it some time for a 4.7" version to be produced. You sound pretty confident though they won't ever release a 4.7 case. Do you know that for a fact?

They must think the 4.7 isn't as popular as the 5.5 but that's not true. I'm sure the userbase for 4.7 is just as strong as the 5.5 userbase. The phone being on Cricket shouldn't matter since the phone is available worldwide unlocked. The company must have some agreement with the carrier(s) they produce cases for that limits them.

Which color did you get? I got my case yesterday and it's great! I feel it's the best case out for the idol 3 in terms of design. I've tried a variety of cases and spent way too much money on the collection I have now because I couldn't find one I would want to use for a daily driver for long. But this case has everything. The built on dust plugs for the headphone jack and charging port is what makes it feel high end.
Good case, but...
I've had the case for a couple days now, I like the look and feel but the buttons don't go in all the way, at least not for my unit. Otherwise it would've been a fantastic case.

Nope I didn't end up with the button issues. The buttons are flush with the case so it is somewhat hard to press, but once you get used to the placement it'll be fine. It's not like you need to press with all your force to use a button. It's just like any standard case. Buy it and you'll see for yourself . I own the same black on black version of that case and it did a good job until I found this beauty of a case.

So I ordered the Zizo and the quality blows my old case out of the water. The buttons are actually more nice to press with the Zizo and I don't always accidentally change the volume accidentally while at work or working out.
The only thing I didn't like was the four fake screws they put in the back which serve no purpose other than I guess making your phone stable on flat surfaces. They make the phone super slippery when on its back though so I just popped them off pretty easily and tossed them.
Oh, and the case around the headphone jack is raised which will cause problems with larger aux cables for sure. This is a fairly common problem with a lot of cases I find though and I'll probably just cut the case away if I find it bothersome.
I have the all black and love the case! No button issues for me

Ok maybe I'm just missing the obvious but how do you get it back into it's "holster" after putting the case on it? I can see the clip should snap around it but I'm flexing it pretty hard and it's not sliding in....I don't think I should have to fight with it to get the phone to dock.

I know what you mean. I don't use the holster but for the hell of it tried putting it in the holster to see how it felt and it took a lot of pressure to get it on. On the left side of the case under the power button you'll see 2 black openings which are for the holster. I'd assume to make it easier you insert the left side of the case into the holster first and just pry the phone in completely on the right. Those 2 black openings are for the clips on the holster.

It can also be used to attach a keychain...luckily still fits in the belt holsters I purchased sized to fit the iphone 6+. Tried the holster it comes with..still trying to get used it...easier to use if you remember to turn the screen to face INTO the holder instead of trying to mount it exposed which I was stupidly doing.
So you guys recommend the case? I just seen it the other day, ive been kinda on the fence about getting it since its more expensive and ive been through 3 other cases that ive hated, but i hate not having a case even more... I was wishing for a trident case but i doubt they will bother anymore, so this one looks like my only hope for decent drop protection.
