Was there any reason to start a new thread for this?
Post in the thread that's relevant. More threads just makes things harder to find.
Also, Cloudyfa may actually have a life (surprising given what goodies we've got from him in the past), which may mean he has no time to work on this.

Sorry no HARD Feeling. Please take a look HERE
You made before, why we need HARDSPL. And the answer is actually easy. Please Search first. Make a new thread later. Maybe you should to make with this title.
Why a new Thread?
I think, what Duato did. It is more than enough. And you dont need to make a new Thread.
If there are so many Thread.
It is difficult for us.
Thanks

With that lot, I'd suggest Korand 3.1 with the HTC Home installed as a cab. Or may "Merged Reversal" which seems to have fewer bugs...
Always blame the keys... People these days...

I think my question is new and nobody compare these ROMs.
I read all the posts and serach completely please answer to m question correctly and becarefull.
Thank you l3v5y very much
That's because we cannot know what you will think of a ROM. The best way to find out is to flash it and see what you like/dislike.

have you found any? if so, can you tell me which ones, please? as i am constantly updating this rom when i find a bug.
I haven't found any yet! Which is why I said it seems to have fewer... Anyway, keep up the great ROMs!
I would recommend k0rand 3.1 as well. If you don't want scrolling then chriskay's reversed rom might be a good choice as well.
you may try pdviet transformer 1.0 by cloudyfa... I'm really enjoying that rom!
SHADOW 2 CE is very good and u can instal any CABs u want
It is really fine and do not like some other ROMs with rainbow colors!
i tried many ROMs and at the end decided to use SHADOW 2 CE + CABs of my choice
Other ROMs r great too, but i always found some unfine parts!
Thanx to all our ROMs cooker they r the best and try to do their best
for me its probably Gullum's rom...
the main thing that i love about his rom is its stable, faster than any other new rom ive tried, responsive keyboard(especially Happy Taping Keyboard), good battery life ....thats it..for me i use it for sms and call, and also web browsing
and i hope to seeing Gullum's 6.1 rom...hehe..for now im using Touch Evolution and is running not too bad for a 6.1
For me I like every ROM that released from every developers. But sometimes some ROM not serve for all my need. So, right now, I still try many times for every ROM.
I will try every new realised ROM, a lot of funs from them
everytime I go back to Korand 2.6.
For me it's the fastest and best at conserving battery.

Korand 3.1 official,
1-Fast booting
^^^^^^^^^^^
As fast as last official WM5 Qtek ROM.
4-more storage space
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Yes.
5-Stability
^^^^^^^^
Very stable, even more stable than some official WM5 verison...i believe it's partly because the improvement of WM6.1 over WM5.
6-Not hanged my device
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The same to above.
7-more needed application and software
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
The stability is partly based on NOT including unnecessary softwares.

Its getting round the cooks now, they are working on one for the universal now, and that is a small step to the Athena. It has many similar features.

Hey, however, I plan to release a WM6.5 ROM when a better version will be available, the VGA one available there is ported from the qvga, and it doesn't work good.
I will wait for a FullVGA version.
Or, if there are a lot of courious, I will port it for you, but if it is unstable.........eheh

yes i agree, for that i will wait a better version of wm6.5.

I dont know whats goin on anymore...what are my upgrade options

the rom development scene here for the titan seems to be grindin to a halt
i always relied od DCD for my roms and updates from my mogul...seems the drama llama did a driveby on him and he's MIA
i've seen 3.3.4 here and 4.1 on ppcgeeks. i've tried 3.3.4 but i lacks a kitchen and i need to find perticular cabs for apps there were in the kitchens, mainly Windows Live. I haven't tried 4.1 cuz i dont know how stable it is? anyone wanna chime in....
I've also seen other kitchens and prepared meals (MR1, M2D) with a lot more ingredients i havent tasted before (u still followin me?)
If i decided to install the DCD 4.1 rom where can i find the packages that where included in the last DCD kitchen?
Hi there! I understand your pain.
3.3.4 was the last "official" DCD release. 4.x have not come with any release notes from DCD. Some people feel they are stable, some dont - but thats also the case with release 3.3.4...
DCD is not going to be making kitchens for his ROMs anymore. You can learn all the reasons for this by searching this forum, but one big reason is that it means the ROM build becomes platform independant. You're right, that does mean that you'll have to find CABs for all your programs. Fortunately many CABs can be found in this forum if you search a little. Live can be downladed from m.live.com.
The MR1 & MR2 ROMS just plain work. Everything on them works and works reasonably well. The UI is boring and the OS is sometimes a little slow, other than that these ROMs are perfect...funtionally.
What some people are doing is waiting for the next "official" DCD ROM and collecting CABs while they wait
Thanks dereck
looks like i have a new options..6.5!

lol yp another nice rom to play with lol + lastest WM OS

Which ROM next?

First, let me say thank you to all of the developers as well as users who make suggestions in this forum.
I am overwhelmed with information at this point. I have been using DCD's ROMs for about a year, and currently run 3.3.4.
So where to next for a nice STABLE flash?
6.5 Kitchen Beta 4
M2D 1.3.2
DCD 4.1.2
WM 6.5 build 21159
Others...
GO WINDOWS MOBILE!
Roms are mostly personal preference. Flash each one then pick the one you like best.
no opinions?
I'm surprised. So many opinions on other threads, but only 1 post in two days. I was looking for a respose such as:
I recommend _________ because of ____________
For everyday use, go with M2D or DCD.
For playing around or helping beta testers, run one of the beta's and provide feedback for issues.
I am currently running Skip's 1.1 Rom. I would give it a try, I had been using DCD 3.2.6 rom. After a clean install Skip's rom leave with about 25 of ram, after I did my installs it came down to 20mb of ram.

x2 .. R4R 1.3.3 is very nice .. best WM6.1 M2D IMO .. DCD seems to be the
base for most if not all of the WM6.1 ROM out there .. 6.5 is a little different
as it leaks out and a lot of ppl knows how to do translation and or have the
ability to swap out the correct/known .dll's/cpr that affect on-screen text ...
ALL 6.5’s are beta, Built 21139 is more stable as its closer to the final 6.1 build,
6.5 build 21159 is also “now” stable but still lack overall snappiness, issue is
CPU related, so even when the official 6.5 is release that will always remain an
Issue for us Titan guys.. 6.5 is meant for newer phones with more memory and cpu power,
but one way or the other we will have it running stable and clean on our little Titan
But yeah as stated before it’s a personal preference .. and I have personal loaded up
just about every ROM built for the Titan lol
For a M2D 6.1 ROM .. R4R 1.3.3 FTW!! For a none-M2D 6.1 ROM Skip's or one of the DCD’s
for WM6.5 well right now I am working on both lol build 21139 and 21159 so its all good
I need more testers
Another 1-up for Scrosler's (now bitserv's) Titan Reloaded M2D 1.3.3, which came out yesterday. It is a fantastic ROM. I used DCD's 3.3.4 for a long time, since it came out pretty much, and tried the 4.x series but I think it's still in the beta stage, and didn't suit me so I went back to 3.3.4. I wanted a ROM with TouchFlo and this is by far the best one. Big two thumbs up!

Google is your friend. Wow I found dcd after two button pushes. Try googling "dcd 4.1.2: and pick the second link. then try the first download link. Most recent roms will be in recent threads.
I'm running Drellisdee's 6.1 Titan ROM.
Never been happier. It is quick and very stable.
FYI, DCD 3.3.4 had bugs in it that DCD himself realized that he couldn't fix and he abandoned it.
DCD 3.2.6 was stable, but the TitanReloaded actually is built on it and fixed bugs in it and freed up even more memory with a more optimized boot image, so if you want to run DCD 3.2.6, I'd actually recommend just using TitanReloaded 1.3.4 and disabling touchflo (M2D).
DCD 4.1 is beta, but DCD needs beta testers. If I had time to beta test other ROMs besides my own, I'd be testing one of the windows 6.5 ones, though.

Split 6.1 and 6.5 into different sections?

Can you please split this forum into two areas. I really hate 6.5 it is so buggy at the moment and I am finding my self spending a long time searching through these articles to see what is available. I know the titles sometimes help with "6.5" etc but it would be so much more easier if their was actually sub categories in this category
Doubt it as most if not all roms will be 6.5 b4 long.
i don't know about this. 6.5 is still beta so it will be buggy but there's no point to making another section because when it officially releases soon, 6.1 will be fazed out and die like all the rest that came before it. otherwise there would have been a Windows 2003, WM5, WM6 section opened also, but since they are updates to the same OS there's not much point to making a section for it due to the fact that eventually everyone will upgrade to it when its fully stable
my two cents

I completely agree, I have been attempting to ignore all 6.5 ROMs, because they are far too buggy, and the won't work with my Redfly, when I try to install the drivers for it, it just freezes my device, and I wind up having to HR. Plus the official release of 6.5 isn't due until Q4 2009 anyway, so it will be a while until we see any "official" ROMs.

I thought the release is this month??? Maybe it will be 4q before phones start off with 6.5, but im sure XDA forums will have 6.5 before that.
So what bugs are you encountering? Maybe you could compile a list and let the chefs tackle them. There's not many that I can find using RRE's or Da_G's so maybe try one of those?
But yea, please let everyone know what bugs you're experiencing so people can take a look at the root cause and potentially fix them?... I am eagerly awaiting your response to this.

seriously i have nil to no bugs with 6.5...
but if you are there are ether related to rom or something you are doing. But ether way you should compile a list in the respective thread to address these alleged issues.
IMHO 6.5 runs far better and quicker than 6.1 ever didd, as far as bugs none that are of any consequence for me
yes man, that is the consensus. plus all the chefs are jumping on it and not looking back broheem.

Agreed. After finally getting the guts to flash today I can say that 6.5 is how 6.1 should've been. Great interface, much faster. No bugs for me so far.
Whats funny is my 6.5 rom is FAR more stable and reliable than the stock rom that came on my AT&T Fuze... or pretty much any other 6.1 rom I ever flashed to. I can go weeks without having to preform a single soft reset.
A Huge thanks to whoever is hosting the file!
I just downloaded the full file in 1.5 mins!
I agree. . at least for the time being. Break them up a bit.
I was hesitant to move to 6.5 because of said "bugs". Honestly, I haven't seen a single bug since going to 6.5 though. Works much better than 6.1 ever did.
Great response guys.
After reading through all your articles I decided to give 6.5 another shot. I tried 6.5 and experienced alot of bugs ... missing calls ... GPS not working etc.
HOWEVER...
I have just flashed the "EnergyROM Series 3.0 21215" and it seems stable enough for me... the only bug I have found so far is it keeps turning the backlight down even when I set it not too.. so going to have a dig around on the forums to see if anyone else is experiencing this issue.
Thanks again guys
To the split i vote....
No bugs in 6.5 so far but i not really intend to turn back to 6.1 i think is a good idea to split the forum into 2 piece so 6.1 or 6.5 funs no have to bother with the other builds...
My two cents: 6.5 is pretty stable for me too. On the issue propose, each of the 5, 6 or so top chefs have like 2 or 3 roms and I have no trouble finding what I'm looking for on the very first page of the forum. The threads are well labelled too.
If a split is to be made, I'd suggest making a subforum for the 6.1 ROMs, and keep the 6.5 ones in here.
I think its a good idea to split. So far, i only can see these different between WM6.1/WM6.5 :
1-No HTC WM6.5 specific addons/goodies atm.
2-Titanium by M$
3-LockScreen
4-More Outlook Ehancements.
5-Looks like M$ trying to make the WM6.5 OS more independent without 3rd party addons.
Cant wait for HTC device shipped with WM6.5 & get all the HTC goodies soon to make WM6.5 more usable
typically, we don't split. This has happened many times in the past. Are you guys really having problems figuring out which is which?
Its not that it's hard to differentiate, but it would be easier to find the ROMs that people are interested in. Like me, I have been trying to completely ignore the 6.5 ROMs, because they don't work for me. So it would be nice to split them, or at least have a way to organize them.
