1- it's reboot many times without any reason(I read one thread about it but i dont understand what to do!!)
2-sometimes 2gb microSd card loosing?(i cant open it from phone...only rebooting helps!!)On other devices card works good!
The usual reason for a 3125 rebooting is that the battery cover has gotten worn down to the point that the micro-switch under it is not fully depressed. There are multiple potential wear-down points. The hooks on either side and the tabs at the bottom can get worn or even broken. There is also a raised pad at the lower left (looking at the cover from the inside) than can get worn, as can the contact point on the switch.
Typical solution, providing the hooks and/or tabs are not totally broken off, is to put a thin piece of plastic or cardstock between the microswitch (lower right of the batter compartment) and the cover. It's a temporary solution (it tends to get continually worse), so if this fixes it, you should check eBay for a replacement cover.
That said, I had a phone that reset for another reason, which I never found. So it could be something else. I ended up buying a phone with a bad keyboard and doing a keyboard transplant from my old one.
I had the same problem and I'll tell you what I did. Open the back cover and you will see a little black switch next to the sim card/below the battery. I took a pair of needle-nose pliers and just twisted that sucker right out like a bad tooth (carefully though, you don’t want to tear up the foil on the board). Then I put a small spot of solder on the two contacts that the switch used to connect to. Never had a random reboot ever again. From then on, just make sure you take the battery out first before ever messing with the sim/sd card.
That worked for me.
Thanks

i have the very same problem and this sounds like a perfect long term solution.. any chance of getting picture of ur mod for morons like me who need visual stimulation?
regards,
First of all I admit that i have done stupid thing.
Before telling this I did HSPL to flash radio rom.
Yesterday I dropped my phone.
And from that time on vibration hadn't worked and booting phone by its own hardware buttons also, not working.
But I found booting only works by following method:
plug in charger while battery is out and then press as soon as battery is inserted again.
Now, what I committed to fix my vibrator was that i tried to disassemble and I got stuck at separating the housing with the screen one.
But I just adadoned to fix it and assembled it again.
After I booted my phone by that strange method above, the touch screen did not work.
So I pressed reset button at the back.
Now it is stuck at the first HTC logo screen. (think it is bricked?)
However It doens't show any information about R,G,D just the logo.
Many time till now the result is the same.
Now my question is...
My warranty is not over yet so I think I can get the new one.
However what interrupts my mind is that "what if they find out it is HSPL?"
But my opposing the question above is that can they see if I did HSPL or not since bootloader doesn't work, and proper powering on of the device doens't work either.
So what is you guys opinion will I be ok to get new one without being accused..?
My other concerns are that what if the boot loader suddenly works... and they find out!!?
And also what if they find out that i disassembled once.. cause the screws look touched..
lol while editting.. the phone got RGDs back although it seems it is rare, now it means there is chance for them to notice it..
You will find that your warranty does not cover accidental damage, so the shop you purchased it from probably will not replace it.
Unless you took out insurance at time of purchase that covers accidental damage.
Your best option, is to claim under your household contents insurance, but once again, check that mobile phones are covered, some policies do not, as it is an item you take out of house.
Thanks for your reply, I am really blured ,because i'm now on relatives house abroad..
Initially when i get back i will check..
unless you have insurance I cant see you being covered I hope you are though, any form of insurance with the HD2 is a must imo
HSPL + visible damage from the fall + disassembly evidence (there's a sticker on a screw that will be broken if you unscrew it, to show it's been opened) = definitely no warranty.
Even if there was any chance you could claim warranty, HSPL modification alone would void it. And unfortunately there is no way to revert unless you install a stock ROM from SD Card. I know it very well cause I just did it yesterday. Had to send mine to claim warranty as the touch screen failed...
Hello everybody, this is my first post here, and I hope that I'm not posting in wrong place, if I did that, I am sorry. Now, as the title says, i have problem with the digitizer on my WT19i, the thing is that I cracked my original digitizer, but it was still working great, even broken as hell , than I went to a local mobile shop, where I've been told that the replacement brand new digitizer will cost arround 40 bucks, and arround 50 with their installation and it will be truly genuine part, but after I saw how they were repairing mobile phones with parts flying all over the shop, I decided to replace the digitizer by myself, i mean how hard could it be right? Turned to be a little complicated, but nothing special at all, so I replaced it with new double sided glue tape (don't know for the real name for it), and I assembled the phone like it should be, and I was maximum careful during the process (took me about 5 hours ), but when I turned it on, I noticed that the digitizer was not very precise, and sometimes was stuck in non-workable state, the hard keys work all the time, but the digitizer doesn't, it seems like it has mind of it's own, he decides when to work and how, so I opened the device again, reinstalled everything, cleaned ports with alcohol, and reassembled it very careful again, but still the same issue. Then i tried everything to eliminate software mistakes, but when I opened flashtool, and connected the device, it said "your device is not recognized", so I dissasembled the device, and put the old digitizer in, turned the device on, and imagine, the digitizer was working even it is with missing pieces from it, and Flashtool then recognized the device, installed busybox to the device ( I am sure that I had busybox before, and the device was working great ), but nevermind, I put back the new digitizer, and has been recognized in Flashtool, so I relocked bootloader and installed GB factory rom, v58, so the device is in the factory state right now, but guess what, the same problem is still here, tried hard reset, and many other stuff, but no luck. I tried to go to the shop and they told me that I didn't mounted it properly , I guess it's because I didn't pay to them to mount it, however, they won't replace the part and no money back .. I don't know exactly how to see is the digitizer genuine/faulty, or is some other hardware or software fault, but I've noticed that on the original digitizer it has some barely visible horizontal and vertical lines, and on the new digitizer the same lines are diagonally placed, and I can tell that the new part looks kinda cheap and low quality. So if someone has some kind of a solution, I will be greatly thankful to him. Please help me, because I become desperate about this, spended my money and now I am still in the same mess. sry for the bad english, it's not my native language, and sry for the long and exhausting post.
I guess you won't have luck
Just a short summary:
-Your digitizer was bricked
-You bought a new one for 40 bucks (instead of 50 including replacing in the shop)
-You opened the device and replaced it
-It was not working properly
-You put on the old one and it worked
-You went to the shop and told them it's not working, but they are angry because you tried to do it by yourself and so they didn't want to replace the new digitizer
-The new digitizer looks cheap and you can't get back the money...
Did I get that right?
Hmmm.....when buying original digitizer, make sure there come with tools included in the packages....if your digitizer only then make sure its not from china.....
it's not hard to spot original digitizer and cheap digitizer...original digitizer comes with warranty and the cheap one can be spot by looking at the ribbons....also original digitizer fits perfectly on any LWW while the cheap one will have a small gaps from the cover....
as for you problem, you should ask the shop if the digitizer comes with tools and if there a warranty for it...if it doesn't then you should just lets the shop replace the digitizer cause if somehow any problem came out then you can blame them

Yep, you got it.. is there any solution available for it or should I bent my tail and go buy new one from another mobile shop?
I finally solved the problem. I went to the authorized service, and they said that my digitizer is just fine, charged me 10 bucks, BUT, i was kinda suspicios about the repair, because they told me that the software was reinstalled and the problem was solved, which was ridicilous, because I personally changed and tried every possible software and kernels that I could find, so I tested the device right in front of them, holding other customers behind me waiting until I check it , turned out that the same problem is still present, I was pissed off, they were stunned that I found them lying to me, they took the phone back, changed the digitizer, charged me plus 30 bucks, and here I am, with finally fully working device. I just can't believe that Sony is allowing this to happen, I am totally disapointed in their customer care, and I just wanted everyone who has the same problem, broken digitizer etc. the original digitizer comes with the whole front cover, not only the glass, but the whole thing. I hope this post can help someone to not go through my pain and costs.
Im having the same issue, or maybe kind of...the sim reader is working i guess cuz if i take the sim card out of the reader the phone tell me that i need one to use my phone, now if i put the sim back i cant get signal, AT ALL!! cant even search for networks but it recognize cuz the warning goes off.
Now two days ago i watched a video on youtube about how to increase the signal on the galaxy note and what the guy did was just put a wire into one of the Antennas holes ( he was using the N9700) im using the i717 so u put the wire into the antenna receptor side of the sd card, and bum! works! but not all the time cuz i cant put the back plate back to close the note, and even if i figure out how to put it back , the signal goes off :/, maybe is something with the antenna but i cant find how to replace that :s
Btw: changed rom, root, radio-modems, opened the phone taking all apart and put it back again lol, and the same thing also checked the white wire of the antenna who gets the signal i guess and has no damage.

you used an improper antenna... it has switched the antenna from internal to that port forever. I have heard of people being able to switch it back with some luck but seems to be a one way trip. The "extra" antenna ports are for testing by engineers who use the proper connector. It may work but if it goes in too far ... well, you know. Furthermore, the ports are not designed to take plugging and unplugging on a daily basis and are easily damaged . .
Hoooooooooooly ****! so there is no way to make it work properly? im looking on my goofle friend about how to switch to internal maybe can you give me some help.
Thax btw!
Hello.
So to make a veeeery long story short, the phone leaked water in a lake at about 0.5 meters depth after a minute or two with flaps definitely closed (checked 5-10 times before submersion). The screen then flickered and died.
Phone gets sent away to a service center, tested and results unsurprisingly say its watertight so must be user fault. Sony and service provider refuse to help me in any way to fix the broken phone, so basically they say i have to pay it as normal (it was 4 weeks old at time of damage).
I received the phone back after countless phone calls to sony and service provider trying to get them to take responsibility, especially sony, but to no avail.
So now im trying to fix it myself. I took the phone apart, and the screen connector at the bottom was fried as expected. I bought a new screen and flex connector cable but still my screen wont show. The touchscreen works perfect, and so does the phone. When i connect it to my tv via MHL it works flawlessly. Every function including the new touchscreen works perfect, just that the screen is black on the device.
Am i missing something?? I really want to get this working so i can say IN YOUR FACE to this stupid company SONY. Im thinking the only thing it could be now is some faulty component on the mainboard regarding screen output, seems strange though that everything works perfect via MHL, especially the touchscreen.
Anybody have any ideas? Would be greatly appreciated if anyone can share similar experiences!
Cheers, Vincent from Sweden.

Hello.
The phone has booted ever since it got water damaged, even with the bad screen. Yes the touch panel works perfect but no display, and i can see and use everything on the phonebon my tv via mhl cable. I even updated firmware whilst using mhl to see if it would help but still no picture on the device.
I have replaced the touch screen and the flex ribbon cable that connects screen to mainboard. I have also removed mainboard and cleaned it with 95% alcohol incase some water or dirt causing a short circuit somewhere.
The mainboard looks fine, and everything works apart from the visual screen. Nothing is overheating. Im really baffled as to what could be wrong, but it surely must be something on the mainboard?

I got same issue on Galaxy S4 but that wasn't water proof so this type of damage was normal for it.
have u tried ur display on another board?
- as Sony said it was user fault... after phone get wet have u tried to dry it with heat?
+ as i read the warranty agreements when u open phone by urself or others (non official center) it will void the warranty.
anyway If ur display not working with another board so thr is problem in display panel and not anything on board.
Please Inform me if u got any info or result of this damage
Thanks

Yes the phone is thoroughly dried out. I only opened the phone after i had received it back from sony service. They said it wasnt covered by warranty because it was water damaged and was caused by the user (even though both water indicators behind the 2 flaps are still white and not been exposed to water), and they said that they never repair water damaged phones.
Thats why i decided to open it and try to fix it myself, i had nothing (more) to lose!
I havent tried the new display on another board, thats exactly what i want to do but cant get hold of a new board. I've even been taking apart previous smartphones to see if the display can be connected to it somehow just so i can confirm it works. But the probability is that it does work, as the first "broken" screen worked in the same way as this one, touchscreen fine but no display. Thats why i changed the flex cable also, i thought it must be that when the mainboard seems to be doing everything else perfectly.
Does the problem have to be in one of those 3 components? Screen, flex cable, mainboard, or have i missed something?
Thanks

Yes, it should be those factors. From what you have stated, its most probably the connector on the main board. Before you make more purchases, try to take it to a shop and ask them to test the screen on another phone, so you can see if its the screen or not. It MIGHT be a faulty flex cable that you just purchased, hopefully, since its the cheaper solution. I actually bought one in ebay that was water damaged, changed the screen, middle frame and flex cable, and have a brand new refurbished Z2, good for me the main board was intact. I would take the board out, wash it with 95% alcohol again with a soft toothbrush to brush impurities off the connector piece. Then spray it a little with electrical spray and leave it in rice to thoroughly dry out overnight and try all the connections again. Look through the main board with a magnifying glass and see if anything obvious burned out, the smallest connection can cause problems.
If all fails, then take it to a shop to test the screen or the main board, hopefully they are friendly enough to do it.
Good luck buddy. :good:

Sounds like good advice elbello
Good to know that you have managed to fix a water damaged Z2 using the same mainboard, hopefully i can have the same luck.
So you think it could be the flex cable? Are they known to break easily?
I have already cleaned the board twice with alcohol, maybe using electrical spray might help, and i will check it with a magnifying glass aswell.
Hopefully i can find a shop that will test the screen for me, but this is Sweden, the place where no favours are done, and where everything has to be sent away and fixed by professionals!
Thanks for the replys guys
I have just checked the whole mainboard with a magnifier, and found no oxidation anywhere. I found quite a bit of dirt in some places, and i have once again cleaned the screen connector with 95% alcohol and also the other side of the board behind the screen connector. I dont have any electrical spray at this time so cant test with that.
Another thing i have realised is that there is visual damage to two contact points that are located at the bottom of the phone, very close to where the flex cable connects to the lcd screen. What are these two contacts for, and could they be causing the problem? I will attach an image of them.
Thanks.

From that picture, I dont think that affects the screen at all. Bad thing is you cant try the two pieces you bought with another board so you can narrow the problem down.
I doubt the electrical spray will make wonders, it just good to clean dirt and make the contacts react better after oxidation, but if you state they are clean...
Think your only options is to consider it a loss, sell it in ebay for parts and stuff, or try getting a new flex and see if it was that, but if it wasnt, its like throwing money away. I would say the same for the screen, but those go for $100+ easily.

Yea i was thinking about selling it for parts, but its not really worth much without a working mainboard. I will probably just keep it and wait till i can get hold of a new board. How much do you think a new board would cost? I cant find one anywhere at the moment when searching on ebay/google.
Wish i had access to a working board for testing
Hello,
I have the same problem ... black screen on the tv works perfectly, xperia z2 also drowned after 10 seconds under water .... someone back to life solved the screen, that you have replaced?

he could you solve your problem? It happens to me the same with a z2 . I board bought new eh and the problem persists . you could help me?
Thinking of buying a used z2 with intermittent touchscreen issues. It works but seems to be intermittent it either takes multiple taps to work or it goes mad like your pressing the keys could this be down to water damage or possibly just a software issue and need re-flashing a ftf by clean install it's a totally stock z2 in mint condition for £50

It's probably hardware problem. Trust me, ghost touches make people go crazy,so don't buy it.

Ghost touches are a digitizer problem right?
You can buy a new one for about 30-50$
