i was my o2 atom exec flashing to
ROM: WM6.1 B19209 AKU 1.0.2 20080417A5WWE
my laptop went into standby
on the phone screen showed update utility screen
and format failed,
is there anything i can do?
(edit** problem solved, usb cable was faulty)
any help appreciated

hi everyone,
i have a huge problem. my rom flash for my i-mate (qtek 2020, mdaII, XDAII) hung during flashing (from 1.66 to 1.72 official i-mate rom) during the ce upgrade step 2. now my i-mate just hangs at the blue i-mate screen and i cant connect to it through pc anymore, get error 101. is there any way to get a good rom on it again (can i connect to the ppc by another way, other software or sd-card0 so it will work again, or does it have to be epaired at at a rapaircenter?

If all that happened was it hung during upgrade you can put the device into bootloader, power+d-pad+softreset button, and attempt upgrade again, but if OS you were upgrading to is corrupt causing the hang a new rom might be the way to go, www.buzzdev.net has everything i needed, or clubimate.com
I have same problem. My q-tec100 is reseting so I can' connect it to pc for flashing again. Please tel me what is bootloader and what is d-pad button so thad i can stop it from reset and connecting for flash

it doesnt work! it says connection error! but when i try to check the usb cable and everything that i need to check it's all ok. what the heck am i missing this time? can any guru or expert or someone knows just how to clear the ROM and install a fresh one? i have installed WM 6.5 for atom exec on my O2 Atom... please help! thank you
After I upgrades the new WWE ROM , When I finished, I hard reset my device, and my atom exec stuck at O2 screen , I tried to go to bootloader to install again but I could not , it go until preparing to install the new rom, it notice that the connection errors, usb transfer fail, please use DSUU in OS mode and sync with PC first.
I thought maybe I still kept the mini SD card in the side when I hard reset so it caused this error.
Can anyone help me fix this ?!

I think I met someting wrong in bootloader file, Could anyone help me and send me the origin Atom exec ROM file (not the latest file). I think I should get these files to up load bootloader again.

This problem is also present in the Atom - and if you're getting that message, it means your bootloader has been updated to NOT allow flashing directly from it (thanks, Quanta).
I can't help you with reflashing the BL (you may want to do a search on these boards tho), but try this: turn the device on and leave it for awhile (say 10+ mins), and see if you can get into the Today Screen at least. If you can, simply sync as guest on your PC, then run the DSUU updater. I saved my hacked Atom (using the Exec rom) this way.
If you can't - then I think it's time to call in a warranty.

I left it for more than 15 minute but nothing happens.
I think the same to you. but i see it can read & execute from mini SD card.
Does anyone can help me ? Which file of bootload that I can execute directly from mini SD card ?

Have you tried taking out the battery? This happen to me once a month, and when I took the battery off and then turn it on again it oasses the O2 Screen and continues with the Windows Screen.

I tried all things like this ! Still cannot ! Anyones can help me how to install it from the mini SD Card ?! I think we can recover from mini SD card but don't know what kind software to but in this mini SD to do this !

I've got the same problem with my ATOM.
Anyone help us plz??
i have same problem too, whenever i start my atom exec it directly goes to MN2 bootloader, i tried rom update but it asks me to run it in OS mode which i can't do as my device never goes past the bootloader. i have read of a miniSD card method to try upgrade but this bricked the atom in all cases i read.
Please we need a solution for this, my atom's warranty is over
O2 Atom LIFE....
After the package file release (AL1_CB_0425_WWE_B1_DSUU.exe), he was copy all of file to MiniSD and reset Atom Life to bootloader mode and it was upgrade. So, upgrade to 99% it was notice error. He softs reset it after wait for minute. it can not power on and black screen.
My Atom is Blinking RED... & BLANK SCREEN.... ((((((((((((

My atom Life is dead too
I just have got it yesterday andthen i flashed it today with the WM 6.1 rom from Medkid and then was working, then i wanted to get back to the original rom then i downloaded one from the wmg homepage and was not working, then i extracted the files and put on my minisd and it has flashed but then it was not working anymore... is just black screen... nothing works.. tried removing the baterry, reseting, hard reseting,.. no lights on.. just when i plug it to charge i see the charging light on.. Can someone please help me too.. pleaseeeee

Can you still get the bootloader?
If you can boot it up to the boot loader. you can plug into your computer and flash another rom. I had the same problem a week ago. now my atom is working again with Homers WM6 rom

First:
i hav tried to upgrading my wm5 to wm6 on my atom.
But my upgrading stop a 16% and give me the error the connection between atom and computer can't be done.
I do the reset hard , now i got a screen bootloader with " update utility " and don't hav led on got them only on usb connection connection.
Second:
my activesync don't found my atom again
i hav try brick atom and semi brick but no result.
