Album rotates, then un-rotates - Touch Pro CDMA

have a vzw touch pro running mighty rom 4.12...with htcsensor and gconfig installed album rotates when I turn the phone, but then rotates back to the original orientation...opera rotates fine, calculator rotates fine and google maps rotates fine..(these are all the apps on my whitelist)
does anyone have any clues? if I remove album from the whitelist, album does not rotate...any clues? thank you for any help
edit: the album rotation works fine in gallery view but only when actually viewing the pictures does it rotate, then rotate back to its starting orientation
thanks again for any help

[Q] Screen Rotation particulary not working

hi,
i have a problem with my hd2 (latest standard htc-rom 1.66.407.1 german, no mods, etc.): while screen rotation works fine on htc sense album view and sense music-player, it doesn't on email or sms functions. it simply doesn't rotate into landscape mode, not even while typing on the keyboard.
any ideas to fix this behavior?
Thx and regards.

Picture Rotation in stock rom/Gallery

Hey there...
So I have a bunch of pictures in various web folders and on the phone itself. For some reason when looking at them as of late in the Gallery app, some of my portrait pictures show up fine for half a second and then rotate themselves as though they are landscape. Not every portrait in the gallery does this. Original ones in the camera folder are fine. Can't see a way to rotate the pictures back in the preferences/settings and no edit option within the camera app on my T-Mo S3 either.
I tried deleting the Gallery's data file and rebuilding it to see if it fixed it but no luck.
Any suggestions/advice?

Camera App opens in Landscape Mode automatically

This is a minor annoyance but sometimes I just want to open my camera app and browse photos while my phone is laying on my desk, but when I open the camera app it automatically goes landscape mode and I have to pick the phone up to get it back to portrait. Any body know of a way to cancel this auto-landscape feature in the camera app?
Edit: Just realized I could just go to the "photos" app directly and bypass the camera. This opens in portrait. But also adds another icon to my homescreen. I'd like to just use the camera icon for all of this, so still would like to hear any ideas anyone has
In settings > display and gestures do you have Auto rotation checked?
Mine opens in portrait.

I've tried other forums, hopefully you can help.. Screen Rotation

Hello, I have a Minix Neo X8H Plus. Basically a TV box running Android.
Everything is running brilliantly apart from some apps require portrait orientation to access settings, for example CCTV viewer apps, and TuneIn Radio...
There are no settings for display rotation, and I have tried all the top apps for forcing screen rotation with no luck.
Does anybody have a solution? So happy with this new device, I just want to be able to view my CCTV cameras and playback on my TV but unable to as the settings are hidden in portrait menus. I also don't want to lose my current settings and Nova launcher home screen setup, and hours of playing around, trying out different widgets, icon sizes, etc,etc it's finally perfect.
Thank you :good:

How to get rid of the rotation lock?

Click to collapse
That is a convenience feature added by google that lets you switch the orientation when you have orientation lock enabled.
It only appears when you have the rotation locked and you rotate the phone so that it is opposite of what the orientation lock is set too. So for example if you have the phone locked in portrait orientation and you rotate the phone to landscape orientation it will appear.
Turning off the orientation lock will cause the convenience feature to not appear
Otherwise you can try the suggestion at the link below and see if it works. If it does not work I have not seen any other method(s).
