i agree, when i first got this phone in late feb 2007 or early march, i thought it was the same speed as the phone before it which was the hw6515 and it had half the mhz but its ok
Sergiopi is dubbed moderator, and the single most useful sticky in this forum appears. Very nice keep up the good work. Maybe its just me, but i'm quite sure there has been a serious lack of moderation around here.

I think the above post meant to say that he's not the author of the chinese ROM, but a guy by the name of deadwood is.

I suppose it is because these people have genuine difficulties in expressing themselves in English and understanding English. Same reason for other post in German, French etc on our Athena forums. Personally, I think it is not okay if they do it on a thread meant for everyone here. However, on thread which are specific to those who understand the language, I don't see why not.
Anyway, the post by the author of the ROM, expressing his madness, has nothing to do with the language, but probably the fact that someone has posted his work without his permission.
Actually I have great interest in his ROM, although using in Chinese is going to be very challenging for me. What I understand is that it is based on Diamond's ROM, which is just about the latest. If it works in Athena, I think our wonderful cooks could use it as a starting base to modify to English. Would'nt that be nice.
朽木头, I think you have a good piece of work there. We all know it was due to your great work that this ROM is posted here. I believe that zqx0531 has told everyone that you're the real author. We hope you don't mind your ROM being shared here.

I have the HTC x7500 with Athena Project Black Dual by PK 3.0 (SPL 1.2) installed.
1- Since the HTC diamond and the HTC touch pro is out on VGA, has anyone tried to make a new rom using these ROM?
2- From going over this forum, I couldn't make out if there was a new ROM which includes windows mobile 6.1. am i mistaken?

It might be a stupid question but how can I upgrade my x7501 SPL 1.2 to SPL 3.5?? I was able to upgrade to AP4 Vanilla 4 SPL 1.2 (WM6.1) but I would like to try the Athena Project 5.0 Beta (SPL 3.5) ??

from this (If you choose from that list the AP4 your device will have a newly partioned ROM, called SPL 3.5 and in the next future you can't use neither original HTC ROMs nor cooked 1.2 SPL ROMs. The only advantage in SPL 3.5 is the capability to use AP4 and AP5)

Before you get into flashing a WM6.5 rom you MUST read about it in the WiKi first about SPL's and why they differ. You ca screw up your device if you dont!

SPL 3.5 partitioned about 20mb more memory to use for the Rom. So in other words AP 4.0 was to large to fit in the SPL 1.2 partition when it was finished, so Olinex developed SPL 3.5, and this robbed 20mb from the Program side (I think), to make room for it to fit. You can downgrade again to SPL 1.2 easy enough, but you must use the right rom with the right SPL. As a result you will find that some same roms (for example, Michy 4.1) comes in both SPL's the SPL 3.5 will have a few more bits of software in it or added UI.

One last question before the installation

One friend had installed an old version of manila 2D and everything in his Nike worked very slowly, especially the cube. If I install the newest version (from your link), my nike will work slowly or normally?

I use my cooked ROM because it is really really fast!!!
It seems better than HTC one!
You can try the cab and if you do n't like make a hardreset, or switch to a cooked ROM
I confirm what salvy said : all cooked ROM here are faster than official ones (the first and the update...). And almost all have M2D built in (at least WM 6.1 ones...).
Why don't you flash an hardSPL and give a try to choose one ? If you really need official HTC ROM, you'll reflash it, flash stock SPL et voilà !
