My dopod is on ipl/spl 2.20
while trying to update to the latest PV 4.0.0.0.6 Touch, i encountered an error..
Fine, reset the device, went to bootloader, started the PV_Temp upgrade file for my G3 dopod.
halfway, the update fails and says the NBF file cannot be used.
i've tried every other NVID rom and it is the same..
so now i'm stuck in the bootloader screeen and i can't do anything

check your .NET Framework and see if you have the 2.0 version installed. Reboot your pc and start again. We always experience these hiccoughs.
i've tried the search..
seriously saying, its quite hard to find what i want..
i seem to be able to flash the PV_TEMP ROM, it says on my computer its successful but my PDA just goes back to bootloader.
anyway, i'm installing .Net framework 2.0... will see how that goes..
still doesn't work..

i cna flash jester's rom, i can flash PV_temps rom..
but all i get is the bootloader screen after that..
can't flash the NVID thats from the upgrade guide... it just says wrong NBF file..
wonder how much will it cost for me to send it to service center to replace the whole flash chip

so you know now what is the problem!
recharge it by connecting to a PC with USB and wait wait wait and hope for the best. Try recharging it by what ever means you can do. If you said, you are successful in getting PVtemp, then, try installing battery_status.cab (find it search it by google or whatever) and watch the battery_status line on the front page and wait for a + sign before the 100mA at the right bottom line to appear.
Wait till it is full, then redo step 2 again. I'm sure you can get over without getting the machine to the manufacturer for repair.

sayjeng, I got the same problem last week.
I couldn't use any RUU rom because of the corrupted nbf file.
The PV_TEMP rom worked but I was stuck on boot loader screen too...
I tried many times and with some random hard resets... Eventually, the fourth time , WM5 started...
My advice are :
- charge your battery by any means like SeaPea said
- reboot your desktop computer
- remove your (fully charged) battery from your phone for some seconds and put it back...
Really, I may have been lucky that time...

Jow ... flash your rom from dopod!
If your Radio Rom is crashed ... it stuck at Bootscreen too! After that it must run! it fix partition errors too.
ROm from dopod is 2.15..
my prophet is now on 2.20...
i can't flash it... i haven't been able to find a vendor rom wiht 2.20..
does anyone have any ? Qtek maybe ?
something to get my prophet running...
cause i did try in my attempt to get my prophet back by flashing the Radio ROM.. and it fails.. maybe thats why i can't boot my prophet

I got this to work using the guide - BUT:
Windows XP SP2 English was the key for me.
I used VMWare to do step 1 of flashing (NVID)
then step 2 of flashing I did on a separate PC.
Worked after so many different attempts
i am running on XP sp2 english.. not using vista..
problem is, i can't even hard reset my phone.. it just says Format is Failed.
but my phone seems fine and still responds to my plugging the USB in and reseting....

Frequent automatic disconnection from activesync.
No means to charge the battery which i think is almost dead.
Tried the Dopod rom,for no avail.

I'm trying to upgrade my friends O2 ATOM to any new software .
the problem is that when it reaches RADIO UPDATE
it stays on 0%
PDA Screen says ( UPDATE RADIO STACK ,,,, PLEASE WAIT ... )
IF I REMOVE THE USB CONNECTION , THE ATOM STICKS ON WINDOWS SCREEN , AND SOMETIMES ON SCREEN ALIGNMENT .
i tried three different roms ad got the same result , even thru BOOTLOADER screen, it is very imbarresing , as i promised him a better performance device , now it is not booting .

just keep flashing the device, it fails sometimes on the first flash at the radio section, simply disconnect it and then reflash it for the 2nd time.
How long you've wait the process?
I've upgrade my atom more then 10 times and when in Radio Updates it's also not showing the progress as what you've seen.
But it doesn't mean the process is stopping. Just wait and the process will finished. (Usually in it shows the progress in your PDA screen)
Don't unplug your usb cable before it finished.
unfortunatly i had to unplug the ATOM
now it gives only one massege

for me, I'd take out battery a while and then connect USB and try to flash with wm5 rom like "Xda-Atom-ENG-20060105" (you can found on this forum under "Collection of All O2 XDA ATOM ROM AKU *** (WM5(2*->3*) & WM6 (0.3*->0.7*))" post).
And then upgrade to wm6 rom by ... jiggs, homer285 & udayrulz .....

Just keep flashing the device.. take a bit longer time and then will complete the updating ....

Allow the projected 30 mins for the update, if you plan to update via SD Card be sure to read, ALOT! good luck, oh you could have a little read in the Atom Wiki too.
could be your cable or connection?
ATOM ROM update problem
I had the same problem & tried different ways explained in this thread.
No success.
I tried with old original ROM and all new ROMs as well, it stucked on updating RADIO BURN message on computer and ATOM displays Updating RADIO STACK.
I tried removing battery and kept for some times and tried back but same result. Please anyone can help me
i had this problem also. i was unable to reflash my atom. It stuck at the same screen as what the previous user described. At first, the touch screen failed and there isnt any GSM, as in under wireless manager, "phone" isnt there.. E.g There should be Wifi, Phone and Bluetooth in wireless manager.. But sometimes after some soft reset with the taking out of battery, the gsm comes back together with the touchscreen. But this occurred quite frequently until i decided to re-flash it.
Im using the official rom of Xda-Atom-ENG-20060426-MOT0822.. Is there any way to solve this problem?

try to update to any WM6 or if you still want the WM5, there are a lot of ROM
's available. I had this tradgic experience aswell with o2 default ROM. Im contented with the WM6 although no a2dp support yet =)

i'll agree with the others, better change USB cable as well =) It could be faulty you can use cable from canon digicam/motorola phones et. al.
I would suggest reflashing the ROM with cooked ROM's available here like WM6 or WM5 if you still want to stick with it. o2 default ROM gives me a headache before. No1 rule before upgrading ROM...... Read the WIKI hehehehe

Hope u can also flash 'OS+EBoot' part of it and then after ur Atom Exec restarts u can go in bootloader and flash the original WM5 from O2 ‘Xda-AtomExec-ENG-20060614_R060428N_EX0028.exe’.

I have an issue with my RW6828 not booting up correctly after i upgraded to wm 6.1, my other phone has upgraded and worked but this one wont go past the clean boot screen it seems to be locked once it has been flashed. the splash screen has been upgraded with the newer rom but will not boot any further; all it does is keep cycling through the splash screen im using NHOCBANE latest rom
both units have the 1.0.5 bootloader.
i have tried flashing it with the hacked ruu also ( it wont load comes up with un reconized device)
both fones have a previous rom from an atom which worked well.
I want to down grade it back to WM5 to fix the GSM radio then upgrade to 6.1 but i can not does this due to the previous error when using the ruu.

I have experienced that problem before. The phone resets itself then gets stuck at the splash screen and repeats itself right? Most probably you have phone with a corrupt ROM. Did you try flashing it again? Try going to activesync and disable USB connection then try redownloading it again and flashing it again, this time go to bootloader and connect the phone and launch the DSUU. After that, you should get a working phone, then downgrade to wm5 fm there. Just curious what do you mean by"both have a ROM from atom that worked", shouldn't you have HP original ROM?
PS:Most tips from the cool helloworld1! Next time flash via btloader 1.01 for more success and less problem phones
pls dont blame me if does not work or a dead phone.

RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.43.405.1_Radio_Signed_15.26.50.07U_2.04.50_22_2_Ship
i wanted a stock rom so i searched online for the stock one and found
RUU_Leo_HTC_WWE_1.48.405.2_Radio_Signed_15.28.50.07U_2.05.51.05_2_Ship
but this started heating up my mobile and so each time it gets switched off by itself.. so now i decided to reinstalled the previous one
so i re- cracked my phone using HSPL run and it was written we cracked it on the phone... then my phone went black again and it gets restarted by itself over and over again.......
help..wat am i supposed to do?
i didnt know that it would bve that big a deal to install a new rom on my phone and now my phone is useless...i cant reinstall the previous rom.....
everytime i come on the site new rom keeps on coming with beautiful themes and i want to installl them......
what am i supposed to do?

If I were you, I would do the following:
1.turn off the phone and charge it until full power (green light indicator).
2.go into bootloader (the four color screen) by pressing the vol down key and power up button at the same time
3.check your hspl and make sure it is 2.08 HSPL
4.plug your cable and wait until you see the "USB" at the bottom of the screen (it is advisable to use Win XP)
5.do Task 29
6.flash your Radio
7.flash your ROM
8. hard reset
Also need to be ensured that the ROM must be compatible with the phone (some ROM is not compatible with TMOUS)

My phone is useless once its start heating( which was not present when i first install the 1st ROM ,, my mobile was in Russian before so i installed the WWE, but on this version some programs weren't working, so i decided to install the original english stock ROM which found on the net as stated in my original thread.)

and i noticed another thing...besides heating, the other thing that turns off restarts my mobile is when im using the internet.....2 mins on the net and then the mobile goes on restarting itself ...i have to take off the battery for it to stop and wait for the mobile to cool down again...
Hello, I have a problem with my HTC HD2, it doesn't want to start. When I press the power button I feel only a tiny vibration, but only when the device is connected to a power source. Without power source it won't do anything.
Things that I've done : The phone was stuck in bootloader with the error "Upgrade ROM Code Error , Please try again", it had SPL 2.08.0000 so I've flashed HSPL 2.08. After that my device wouldn't start.
Things that I've tried : Take the battery away from the device , connect the device to a power supply,wait 5 minutes then put the battery back on.
Hard-Reset.
Tried to enter bootloader.
Also tried to flash the stock rom, before flashing HSPL 2.08. My device was stuck at 0% with no progress what so ever.
Please help !

I just both a new HD2 from Amazon and the thing don't want to start.
I started first time and it crashed at the training for keyboard. I removed the battery and it didn't want to start again. I did the reset, hard reset but it stay with a white screen and htc logo on. Is not doing anything.
I tried also to start it without SD-card and phone card but no change.
What to do should I send it back????

battery out, connect to wall charger and turn charger on, insert battery, dont touch it for a good half hour. dont worry if charging light doesnt come on straight away.
It sounds like the battery is possibly over discharged. doing as i listed 'should' let the phone start charging without trying to turn itself on.

to do reset to last official greek rom of htc(HD2_RUU_Leo_HTC_ELL_1.66.482.1_Radio_Signed_15.30.50.07U_2.06.51.07_Ship)changing the name of RUU_signed.nbh to LEOIMG.nbh and put it in to sd card.And in 5% shows me "update terminate,update fail,radio v2 fail" and then when it starts shows white screen again.I can get only in bootable mode (that mens in the screen with the colors ni wich you can see wich spl you have)How can i fix my hd2 pls?

it's highly unlikely, but as with anything of this nature nothing is foolproof

bad news for you i'm afraid. i'm not aware of any successful fixing of radio update error.
Ok,thanks, I hope that the battery is the source of this problem,not the device .
I went today at a local service,they've told me that the battery is 100% charged. Unfortunately the problem is with my HD2. I left it in service and I will pick it up tomorrow repaired I hope. Thank you for helping me.

YOU GOT WRONG HSPL you should have 2.08. 6666 etc not 0000... I hope this helps

I knew I made a mistake, my question now is can it be fixed ?
Hi, I tried to instal Android 2.3 Gingerbread on my htc hd2 but when I installed MAGLDR it stopped working. I realized I had installed the wrong HSPL, but now it won't start or respond to a USB connection. I can't turn it on or off and it only shows a white image with HTC on it....Does someone know how to help?

My HD2, won't start up.
My plan was to remove an ICS rom, but during my reinstallation of an other rom everything got deleted..
Now my problem, it won't load into MAGLDR, I do have HSPL 2.08 etc.
Does someone have an idea?

Finally I was able to load my HD2 into MAGLDR so problem solved..
