Yes, I am in that screen.
red, green, blue.
The white section says USB.
Ok, you can access the Bootloader by pressing both the Power button and the Side Ok button together and while you have it pressed, make a soft-reset by inserting your stylus into that hole.
Regards,
Carty..
Exactly, from that screen, connect to Desktop PC and execute the ROM Update Utility to begin flashing of the ROM.
Regards,
Carty..
i'm trying to flash a ROM via ActiveSync, and my Phone won't sync with my computer when I am in BootLoader mode.
You can actually flash without entering Bootloader! Have you tried that?
Remember, when you're in Bootloader screen, the phone will not sync with ActiveSync but can still be flashed if the RUU is executed. Did you try?
Regards,
Carty..
i will try that.
will get back to you...
One more thing, you can exit Bootloader only by flashing a ROM I guess or through a hard-reset too. If you couldn't flash from your PC, try flashing from SD Card.
Regards,
Carty..

You actually dont need to have it synchronized. Just connect, hear that found new hardware sound, directly execute the rom update utility and it will begin flashing.
so, for the HardSPL.
i just run the RUUwraper file, and it'll work out fine?
Yup! Try it out!
But I guess hard SPL requires you to be in normal mode rather than bootloader! If you want to execute bootloader, try flashing the rom that you are about to use after hard spl and that should probably stop in the middle saying Invalid ID or something and your phone may return to normal mode. Then flash hard spl.
Thanks for telling me what bootloader is, I went through that screen but i wasnt sure what it was. Thanks
Once in bootloader mode, you can't connect with activesync...
to get connected with activesync the phone must be in normal mode.
Ok, i have gotten the ActiveSync working.
But now, my new rom, the GOLDENGLOBE by Tai,
I am stuck on the Splash Screen.
(which is the first screen that comes up, in default power on)
help.
Thanks.

Yes you should be able to flash wizard love rom or the rom that your device was shipped with.
Just download either of these roms then put your device into bootloader mode. Make sure that the word USB is visible in the lower left corner of the bootloader screen when you plug in your usb cable. Then you just have to execute the installer of the rom that you downloaded.
If you get an error message you can use precautionary measures such as killing wcescomme.exe in task manager, turn firewall off, remove memory card, reboot pc etc.
Good Luck
Thnx for reply.
Eqx also just sent me mail and told me the same thing.
I am just busy charging the battery before i attempt another go at repairing the phone, i want to make sure that all goes smooth this time.
Will post my sucess or failure when i am done.

sorry~~~~~~~
That is NOT bootloader mode, only Fake Boot,
If you don't force to bootloader manually,
you will never end...........
sorry ~~~~~~~~
can you manually enter Bootloader? if not, this might work...
download an official wm5 rom
disable 'connect through usb' in activesync, but make sure it is running.
run the wm5 update utility, and hope...

this is very simple
soft reset and press and hold camera button
and upgrade. enjoy it.
Never did anything before. Never unlocked.
Downloaded the official exe file today, update was in the middle, but the phone was freezed. I reset then stuck in bootloader.
TITA100 MFG
SPL-2.03.1000
CPLD-9
Then, I format my micro-sd to fat32, put the renamed TITAIMG.nbh to sd, use "Hold Power and Camera + Reset" to get into tricolor bootloader.
But, I can only get into bootloader tricolor screen, nothing more. Please help me, what I can do to make it load the TITAIMG.nbh? Thanks!
I tried let it at bootloader, connect it to xp, re-run the update, then the update told me not the right update for this phone. Any help?
try to get into bootloader, connect usb and see if tri color screen says USB...
then run olipro 2.40 bootloader install...unlock ur rom, then when thats done run the official rom install again, but redownload it incase u got a corrupted file
read from dcd thread
After attempting to S-Off the phone yesterday afternoon and failing (it is unlocked), I'm now stuck at the infamous JPbear screen with the green arrow. I've read pretty much every post I can find on recovering from it and still cannot get the phone to boot correctly.
I flashed the boot img for the rom I was running, I created my own PH98 file with the boot image and AmonRa, I've tried to flash a complete rooted Global stock rom, as well as attempting a full flash of the rom I was running. The PH files seem to process correctly but when done I get a messaging it is parsing the file but nothing happens afterwards. On reboot I get the white HTC screen then straight to the black JPBear screen. The phone also does not recognize that it is plugged into my laptop or a wall charger, there are no LED's lit. Without the USB I cannot relock the phone so I cannot flash back to a stock RUU. Fastboot\Min-ADB\Controlbear all fail as the phone is not recognized.
Are there any other things I can try before I give up. I'm not sure if the S-Off attempt may have damaged the USB or not but it definitely does not respond. I do have the extended warranty on the phone but returning it would be a last resort.
I apologize for asking the same questions as many others but I have not been able to find an answer despite searching for most of the night.

Does not work. I've read the troubleshooting page and tried everything I could find before posting. Controlbear returns an error it cannot find the phone and prompts me to install the drivers and reboot. Fastboot and mini-adb return similar results (phone is not detected).
Thanks for the input.

Did you try placing a rom on your sdcard and flashing it in recovery, or just simply placing a signed PH98IMG.zip on your sdcard (meaning the official update)?

I did try a ROM but have no access to recovery. When I select it fro the hboot menu, the screen flashes for a second and then goes back to hboot. I cannot load the stock RUU because the bootloader is unlocked and I have read there is no way to relock it without working USB.
Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate the imput.

I tried that but no go. The main issue comes down to not getting the phone recognized by the laptop. The USB port on the phone does not recognize when it is plugged in (either to a PC or the wall charger). Controlbear or other utilities cannot find the phone so I cannot execute any commands. I've been searching for a strictly SD based solution but I am SOL.
Thanks though.

I can boot to hboot by using power and volume keys, but I have no recovery when I select that choice. If I choose Fastboot, it will try to load a PH image if present but when it completes it says "parsing file" and then goes back to the hboot menu.

I cannot relock the bootloader without access to to the phone. The laptop does not see the phone when connected to it. I cannot run the relock tool. I think the port actually died. No LED when plugged in to a wall charger or laptop USB cable. I have not been able to locate a way to relock the bootloader using the SD card.
Thanks again.

Nah no way to charge the battery. I have a VZW store near me and will take it there for a swap.
I really appreciate your help though.:good:
The only way to recover with the control bear program is to place all the files in its own folder and then CD to that folder and run from there.I had to recover my phone once. Took me a few minutes to wrap my mind around it. Just keep reading until it makes sense.

Connect your phone to the pc with your usb-cable
When s!tool asks you to enter flash-mode, press home and power buttons at the same time. As soon as the screen turns black (backlight off) release those two and press the back-button. Failing that, take out your battery for a minute or so and then try again.

No, flashmode is necessary for bootloader and kernel operations, there is no other way. Nothing you can do to your phone will disable that, apart from a broken back-button or a broken usb-port. If taking out the battery didn't help i'm not quite sure what you should try.

Nope, you will need flashmode to relock the bootloader. Apparently it was avaiable for you to unlock the bootloader, so i'm not sure why you can't access it now.
