xda and bluetooth

Hi,
Anyone know how to connect bluetooth to
O2 XDA? Thanks.
Bluetooth usb adaptor F8T001
Use bluetooth usb adaptor F8T001.
The XDA can only be hooked up as USB slave. Meaning it can only talk to a computer, not to peripherals, such as bluetooth adapters.
What?
That BlueTooth adapter is for adding Bluetooth to a computer with a USB port. That is the Belkin adapter.
That wont work.
IF someone has seen something... Id like to know... but as far as I know its not possible considering the SD slot does not support SD/IO and a serial implementation would be bulky. Furthermore the USB sync connection does not offer USB host which is what is needed to use USB devices. To my knowledge there is only one or two Pocket PCs that have this. The toshiba and one of the Cassiopeias.
BeDammit
YellowTab... the ressurection of BeOS
long usb sync connection
No bluetooth on Xda.
Only option is to use a very long usb sync connection?
bluetooth with usb port?
Hi,
Anyone know if there is such thing as a bluetooth with usb port?
Thank you.
Yes, but it would not help you since the device can only talk to USB-equipped computers, not to USB devices. To use BDSM terminology, it's a 'slave' and not a 'master', and doesn't like reverse roleplay.
I am lost here
I just dont understand why there is no way to use bluetooth on Xda
since you can use a usb sync cable or infrared to synchronised the
xda & desktop pc. Can there be a blue tooth unit at the end of the
usb sync cable that hook up to xda to received the signal from the bluetooth adaptor that connect to the desktop pc usb port. I thought
it is like just cutting the usb sync cable and using sort of wireless
medium to joint their ends. I understand a little bit about xda being a slave device etc but dont understand the part that you cannot use
sort of connections or adaptors etc to transmit signal? Maybe those
guys from bluetooth,SIG, will look into this area. So far as I know
they only have bluetooth to connect pc to printer and keyboard.
Seems like they say something like the OS of xda will not accept
bluetooth etc.. Hope you experts can enlightened me. Thank you.
Yeah, no problem! Go stick a Blutooth adapter on the end of a USB cable........then come back and let us know when you have paired the two devices up.
Hi everybody,
I´m new in here, so please forgive me when I'm asking stupid questions or anything
several things I found out so far :
first of all, of course there is a difference between a USB host and a USB device, as BeDammit pointed out correctly above. To use USB devices, the XDA would need host function instead of its built-in USB slave used for synchronisation. Generally speaking, there are just a few devices offering both host and slave function, since there are only a few USB chips offering both (for the developers: Philips has just launched some new of these chips).
For PDAs with Compact Flash, there is a new solution, which you can check out here : http://www.ratocsystems.com/english/products/subpages/cfu1u.html
(If they'd only had a SD version... :? )
Nevertheless, a synchronisation via bluetooth should still be possible since xda would only be a slave. There are some guys here in Germany offering Bluetooth Headsets via ebay, article number is 3329163765. On this auction's site they say : "don`t keep telling us your xda has no bluetooth; we know that. Therefore you will be delivered an additional bluetooth adaptor " (sic!)
I have not gone further to this so far, for actually I don't have my xda yet... 8) , but maybe this helped you a little further...
<half an hour later : >
I got it ! I got it ! It's made by Toshiba, but compatible. Check it out here :

Interesting
Anyone care to look more closely into this product and give us some feedback? Unfortunately I don't have the skills to do such a thing.
Cheers!
XDAs do not support SDIO cards, only SD memory cards...
(And doing a search in older messages would have revealed this same answer, only about 50 times...)
I have heaRD THAT o2 MAY BE RELEASING AN xda with triband and 64Mb ROM c/w bluetooth. A dealer told me but no word on the net. The XDA 64i apparently.
Anyone else heard that?
E-Ten P700
Yes, I got a reply from the supplier E-Ten who told
me The new device with bluetooth will be call E-Ten P700.
It is similar to O2xda just like their older version P600 series
but this one will have bluetooth. Their P610 has wifi 802.11b.
But the new P700 will only be release Q3. Most probably O2xda
new release might be around the same time. Cheers

HTC W100 compatible with Hermes

Hello,
I was interested in the HTC W100 remote control, does anyone know if it works on an Hermes?
Thanks.
I have bought one, many sites report it should work with the HTC Tytn. Unfortunately I couldn't get it working. I already tried WM5, WM6 and both updated with the HTC audio cab.
If anyone has an idea on how to fix this, please let me know!
I've emailed HTC about this and asked them if it worked with the HTC tytn, this is there answer.
Dear sir,
Thank you for contacting HTC Europe.
Regarding your query, if you check th HTC shop you will notice that the W100 remote is not listed under the accessories for the HTC TyTN. However, if you update the ROM on your device from WM5 to WM6 you should be able to use this device with the TyTN.
Unfortunately, we are not able to supply you with this update as your device is not an HTC TyTN but the T-Mobile variant of the device, the MDA Vario II. As such you would need to get in touch with T-Mobile in regards to getting a ROM update to WM6. This is naturally dependant on wether T-Mobile offer this update.
Thank you for your enquiry, Should you have any other problem, please do not hesitate to call us. Your Local number can be found at http://www.europe.htc.com/support/csbyphone.html
Best regards,
Daniel Carregosa

The funny thing is that my mobile runs WM6 and it still doesn't work.
The controller does work on a HTC Tytn 2, I've tested this myself yesterday.

If HTC said this then I guess there are no hardware problem, just software, which perhaps can be fixed with the rigt information from a Kaiser.
I'm interested in this to if someone can get it to work with Tytn.
i was thinking this when i first noticed the remote online..
lets make this happen!
I have bought the same headset and it dosen't work. What am I doing wrong?
same case here. I bought myself a E100 today & my hermes won't recognize it!! The included driver won't install, it said the existing driver on my phone is the latest one.
Any help?? Thanks in advance!!
I have a HTC 6800 AKA Titan AKA Mogul AKA P4000
and ive updated my rom with a 2.16 custom version(the last untill now) that has HTC audio manager as a default player so when press play on the w100 it automaticaly starts HTC AUDIO MANAGER and not WMP but there is still that mute button that does nothing ... anyway what i wanted to say is that i'm sure that there is a solution for everyone .. we just have to wait till someone like colonel00 or anyone else buy that controller and hopefully find this value (.reg file)
For more info or testing just PM me
The same here. Just purchased E100 wired remote control and it is not recognized by HTC TyTN at all. I am on WM6.
I have installed the driver "Y-cable_HERM1_070316.CAB" first from CD and then from HTC website. It had no effect.
Did anyone find a solution?
W100 Headset
I have also purchased this headset, and can not get it to work with the Tytn. I'm usings Schaps ROM (great ROM BTW), I can not find the HTC Audio Driver update to see if this solves the problem, so if anyone has the cab for this I would appreciate you posting it, I can't find it on HTC's site.
I have also tried to use just a USB to 3.5mm adapter and can't get that to work either.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Craig
edit: I have managed to track down the HTC-Audio Driver update files. They would not install on my phone automatically so I had to extract them and try to manually install the driver. I tried installing many different drivers from the package, but most would either have no effect/ stop audio working all together/ or stop the phone from booting. I found one in the bundle that installed and at least gave me audio through the headphones and made the microphone work but still no remote buttons. That driver is Remote_controller_Y-cable_T1_070316.CAB, so at least now I am able to use a standard pair of headphones with the Tytn, would still love to get the remote working with it though.

Bluetooth to 3.5 jack.

Does anyone know of a bluetooth product that can connect to the phone and output as a 3.5 jack?

Correct me if I'm wrong but this was posted under WIZARD which means his device has a 2.5 mm headset jack and is already bluetooth compatible.
I mean I know I have a WIZARD and my device is exactly as I just described.
If this is not a WIZARD you've got, then this should have been posted under XDA-Developers General Discussion.
There are several devices that will do it that I know I've seen in the past on the internet. Never used any of them so I don't know a specific brand to give you though.
great helps a lot

[Q] HTC Sensation XE w/ Audio Beats, earphones working on one side.

Hi,
First of all, this is my first thread. Please excuse me if this isn't the right posistion for the question.
My phone keeps playing music etc. only from my right ear pad. First, I thought it was just my earphones being broken.
But when I plug them into my computer, they work just fine. So I figured it was the phone.
Does anyone know a solution, so I can fix this issue?
Thanks alot in advance!

[Q] Headphones Problems with Nokia X (with MIUI custom rom)

Hi guys,
I had just flashed a custom ROM on my Nokia X and i found a problem that bothers me. When i plug in the headphone the sound came out of the speaker instead of the headphones. It shows the headphone icon bt doesn't work. But when i plugged in my headset it works well. Nothing wrong with the jack and still in good condition. Anyone knows the solution?
Thank,
Herbert Ho
No development is done here for it. Check the miui sites. It is most likely the kernel and MIUI having issues. It's not unheard off with the way they hack together roms
I have the same problem, but i have flashed cm11 with cwm. Please help me.
