I use o2 atom life, now, i want to upgarde windows mobile 6.1 or later. Anyone can help me ? Give the link to download ?
My current version windows mobile is 6.0
ce os 5.2.1616 (build 18120.0.4.0)
what the first step to make all this is done..

i use atom life too and i wanted to have a lite ROM. after googling and searching in XDA-DEV, i think i found a ROM which suite me, it is PDAVIET ROM WM 6.1 CE OS 5.2.19971 Build 19971.1.2.6 - light. i try to download the file with the password provided, unfortunately the server doesn't recognize the password and username i typed in.
so, i would like to ask for help if anyone in this forum can provide a solution for my problem.

Tried downloading it from the pdaviet site but there's no link to the file....did my best eventhought i dont understand a word from the site...i hope someone ere will upload it too.....i'm usin ver 6.1.0.1

Can anyone tell me why new 6.1 ROMs not having Modem Link??? I could not use Internet Sharing properly so need Modem link app to connect my pc via GPRS... IS THIS MODEM LINK A SOFTWARE n CAN BE INSTALLED INDIVIDUALLY TOO??WHAT IS THE OPTION IN 6.1 ROMs TO CONNECT ATOM as modem??

The Activesync don't work ! It's always failed to sync my contects.

flashed the rom ok but after it says clean boot, reset ...nothing happens... ie
after pulling the battery and turning on.. all i see is a orange star with NHT atoms and there it remains stuck... nothing happens after that...
what else can i do?

Go for a hard reset one more time .. if nothing works.. flash original ATOM ROM.
Contact sync fails
I too faced this problem. I am running Vista Home Premium and my Windows Mobile Device Center fails to sync my contacts with my Atom. I also use Ultrasoft Money, which happily syncs with Microsoft Money using the same Center.
It is really a pity since this is a superb ROM with lots of spare memory and useful software!
Try and fix it please.

Sorry Guys,
I didn't checked activesync when I wrote the comment.
My ActiveSync doesn't work also.
This ROM has ActiveSync problem and some of my Applications/Games also fails to run. I think its mostly .NET Framework or SQLCE problem.
I suggest all not to use it.
The ROM was really great but these problems are very disappointing.

GPRS not working
Hello everybody,
Great ROM, but GPRS and Activesync is not working.
Keep it up guyz.
Sorry for all of inconvenience that you have with this rom.
About AS, it worked with me as always. Pls make sure that you use the newest AS 4.5.
GPRS will work after you run Network wizard in start menu\ settings\connection
There will be Version 6.1.0.4 with IR fixed soon. Pls wait and test !!!!
dude you don't have to be sorry...the guys here in the forums should extend mo thanks to you because we still have guys like you trying to fully maximize the atom...anyway, a few bugs won't mind..

Besides making great ROMs you are modest enough to apologize for an error which is probably not even of your making!
No tears Medkid, I'll wait for your version 4. Till then, my Atom runs on your WM6.1, build 19716.1.1.0.PV (another great ROM).
BTW is 19716 better than 19199? (these version numbers are so confusing).

Call me blunt, but I really don't understand why this should be a question, but then again lets answer:
First by NOT opening double threads (deleted the duplicate)..
Next: there are stickies and wiki pages about upgrading, please read before asking the questions that are allready been answered countless times,
And next to that: there are countless 6.1 threads in this forum, why opening another thread with : need 6.1 rom?

the file isn't on server any more, so that why you can't get the right pass, find orther ROM.

If u r talking bout Atom ( black /pure), i think the rom that u r asking does not exist. all wm6.5 a cooked rom. AFAIK, O2 never release WM6.5 for atom ( black /pure). The last official rom released by O2 was WM5 version 2.2. Any other than that is cooked rom from some great ROM cooker here or somewhere else.. cheers... 73..

so W A I T ! like me. but I try flash rom wm6.5 for atom exec on atom black it's work all function is work but when I remove battery and turn it on again the screen is not clear (like 8 bit color) SAD AGAIN 555

yeah keep waiting for the 6.5 clean rom
i tried all roms from pdaviet bluetooth and wifi are not working n the rom is not clean too.

Helloworld1 WM6.5 is good, only issues is unable to send via bluetooth and max. you can have is 2 bluetooth devices......but all WM6.5 for Atom is having that problem, Helloworld's version seems most stable and clean. Anyway, if you need something is set your network provider, you can use the attached file. Install it after you install Helloworld's ROM(B4 is the latest now).
