I search a possibility to replace the drivers of a HTC hermes rom with the drivers of the Prophet???
I want use a german rom of hermes. After replace, i try this rom.
can anyone help me???

it is an interesting idea to replace the drivers with those from the Prophet.
Hy should translate a rom if we have an allready translated in our language.
On the other sider, i think tere will be more things to do except change the drivers. Maybe one of the "romgurus" can give you a hint, how to port a hermes rom on the prophet.

Well basicky thats what you'll need to do.... the sys folder is verry much the same for all devices. You will have to port the XIP for that build also... but if that hermes rom is build on a build that is allready for prophet you could probable use that xip.
So mainly you will have to focuse on the OEM folder

For me as a simple man (not a noob) its a miracle how to manage this.
OK it's not my thread but it would be interesting for me too, how this could be done. Maybe, if its not too tricky it could be the easiest way to build roms in native languages, eg. German.

I can maybe give it a try in a cople of day but I'm verry buissy making Prophet Touch VIII right now and have lots of regular paid work to do too

I think this could become the biggest problem at all.
We all speak Englisch an our native language.
OK Finnish semms to be a fzinating language but not easy to learn.
I'm sure you know someone who speaks both, German and Finnish (i hope so).
But thank you for your helping hand. If someone can make the job it only could be you.

If you gave me the basics, I'll try to finish it!
ok I now have a german version on my phone I'll do some more changes to add homeplug with 6 tabs and make it look like touch VIII then I let someone else work on it
But for now i'll flash back to Crystal V2 beta

I think that I can do it all by myself and might just do that I need someone to translate the cube and some other apps and I can make Prophet touch in several differant languages
Maybe this could become a kind of teamwork

i knew you can do it.
For translating the rest of the apps and cube you maybe can upload them so animelover, me and maybe some other german users can translate them for you and upload the translated files. Its only an idea but it maybe will save a lot of time.
I'm a little under pressure but i'll do my best to help.
Ok here is what I will do I will upload a working german version and the files that need to be translated or just text files so anyone knowing german could translate the text but not all apps will be translated because the have the language build into the exe..

Hi I am currently using the AP touch rom and don't envisage trying this for a while, bit I noticed that they had the original wm5 rom for download so this may be useful to others wanting to send their phones back with the original software.

T-Mob Ameo WM6
Personally, I've already reverted to the PK ROM
After making the necessary registry changes for A2DP, the T-Mob ROM refused to give me the wireless stereo option, whereas the same changes on the PK ROM have been absolutely wonderful and my headset works as expected.
I'm also no expert on ROM version numbers, which was why I got confused when I saw this...
On bootscreen:
PK shows B 06 2.19
TM shows B 06 2.35
Yet, on the about screen:
PK CE OS 5.2.1933 (Build 18533.0.7.0)
TM CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)
I also think the T-Mobile WM6 ROM just looks far too much like their WM5 ROM.. no comm manger on the today screen for one just gets on my teats
The developers gets my uttmost respect for their work on their ROMs - keep it up, I look forward to previewing the next ROM from the team here on XDA-Devs.

hey the rom is pretty cool(not as beautiful as AP)
it has the same radio built
the thing i loved most is that the text looks richer and has vga resolution.
Yes the icons are large but the text is in VGA(Ap just have alook and please consider it in ur next update coz just because of ur sincere work Athena has lived)
the camera icon and other icons are quite funky.
the rom is alltogether snappy though old aku built.

Dear cookers and chefs, I would like to order a simple thing, if possible, so that dinner would be perfect . Can you guys re-introduce the WPA2 authentication protocol into the wifi network config?? A lot of people over here miss that. It's a default and oficial from Wm6 and latests Wm5 akus.
P.S. - Can anyone explain me why it was removed from the latest sets of cooked roms??

It seems that the WPA2 defect is a problem of the latest WM6 release. As this ROM are build on that one. Perhaps you better adress your request to Microsoft?
Anyway, as said, it looks like no one can help and the solution is simple, so: contribute!
Every one is saying that I'm being rude, that I don't contribute and help, but till now almost everyone couldn't explain to me why WPA2 is out.
If in previous cooked roms that I tried till now, from 4.0.0.3a to the Mysterious 1.0 (all from PDAViet), I never had any problem with WPA2, it's normal that if that thing is suddenly not there to ask what happen to it.

That's bc of the drivers we use in most recent ROMs come from WM5 (Offical ROM for Prophet), and the older ROMs use drivers from Wizard WM6.
But i think i can fix it, maybe it'll be avaiable in my next version.

By the way, if my Mysterious 1.0 device was not running slow and with a battery drain (not in the beginning) I wouldn't be dragging the forum to this conversation, because I wouldn't need to change to a new rom.

Here is a description (credits goes to zjw831 from DFT site) :

HD2 is the best device I have used

2 Questions
Question regarding the SD card.
Can it be removed before installation and then re-added after complete so that it does not partition the SD card? Or will it still partition it after its inserted? Or will it just not allow a proper installation?
Can WP7 be added with Magldr 1.11 since in the screenshot it says you need at least Magldr 1.09 to install it?
You can just re-flash a Windows Mobile 6.5 Rom and everything will go back.

Hi everybody. I've seen many people and posts about TITAN II eagerly waiting for the HSPL and custom roms and me to but now the bad news is HTC stopped giving updates for TITAN II and busy with the new project and more windows phones are coming out with OS 8. Even there are people waiting for the update for the Windows 7.8 so will there be 7.8 update coming for the TITAN II cause I prefer updating the OS rather than buying another Windows 8 Phone. Please give us the option to either update the phone to 7.8 or 8 or HSPL so that we can have custom roms running on our TITAN II and option to install 3rd party apps
Blame AT&T for it, not HTC.
HTC is more than happy to send you update for your phone without the Cellular testing it first.
If anybody knows a way to update Titan II unofficially, please post it. The phone is great and its a shame that AT&T has denied the updates.

You can do the update manually via Cab Sender but depending on what version of Windows Phone 7.x will depend on how many of the incremental updates you will need to do. You cannot simply jump from build 7720 to 8858 without setting up the others in sequence between the two builds.

I don't have time tonight to chase the link but I assure you I posted it a few days ago within the Titan threads; all else fails Google it.
I will explain it today how to upgrade to 7.8. my phone it's 7.8 now.

I searched and tried the other day, go search for the "seven eighter", that's a software some nice guy wrote, and download it. I'll not search that for you, but it's very easy to find. Run that thing, and in the language pack, check(choose) every language for the US ATT HTC Titan II. That's what I have, again, this is true only for the ATT one because I only have that and I tried and it works, I can't say about any other variations. And continue, that Seveneighter will do all the rest for you, from 8112 to 8862, whole nine yard. You don't need to go find all the cabs yourself, what a life saver. I did the hard way for my Arrive when there's so such a nice script.

I have this phone too, and it seems like quite a few people do as well. XDA claims that there's not enough users to justify it's own forum, but I think if it did or at least had it in the title, more people/talent would be brought here to work on it.
I agree the Titan II is a decent phone, though little has changed from titan 1, they paid attention to minor details for incremental improvements on the mic, reception, among the bigger changes (new camera and LTE).
I would love to have this upgraded to 7.8 and with internet sharing, it would make this phone very, very useable!

I have this phone too, and it seems like quite a few people do as well. XDA claims that there's not enough users to justify it's own forum, but I think if it did or at least had it in the title, more people/talent would be brought here to work on it.
I agree the Titan II is a decent phone, though little has changed from titan 1, they paid attention to minor details for incremental improvements on the mic, reception, among the bigger changes (new camera and LTE).
I would love to have this upgraded to 7.8 and with internet sharing, it would make this phone very, very useable!

Hi, really I can't find any post here get me out my doubts about the process. I read a lot about it, and there were many people who had problems with some features like wifi, things that did not work after the upgrade; even on the process, someone were saying they had to select all languages others say that you must select only one; many questions for a newbie and with the danger of breaking the phone .
I was lucky to contact a friend of MVP who instructed me how to do it without problems; and he had the same phone and he already updated it.
The recomedacion he gave me were:
1. download the last seveneighter (latest version 7.8)
2. download the WP update tools, and install
3. remove the chip and run and update seveneighter
4. when asked about the language, I just select English and Spanish
the process takes me about 25min and everything worked perfect. all its functions works and did not lose any data from the phone (contacts, photos, apps). I hope you find it useful and get lucky. Just in case if I made a backup of everything.

For 3., when you say "remove the chip", do you mean the back bottom piece of the phone? Or do you mean rip the phone a part and take out the soC? (I'm assuming it's the first thing)
For 4., when you say that you selected English and Spanish, is that just due to preference or must you select both for it to work correctly?
Lastly, that's awesome to hear that it works perfectly, when you say "all it's functions", does this include Nokia stuff too, and wireless internet sharing?

sorry, for 3 remove the chip from your provider ATT, Verizon or whatever. the idea is not have calls or data receive in the process.
for 4. you have many languages to select. I selected only Spanish and English 'cause I only use these languages.
what do you mean about nokia stuff??? I only have nokia drive installed and it works... I can't test internet sharing 'cause I can't enable this option; do you know how to enable it? Thanks in advance!
OK, I didn't try to select only one or two language packs, but I remember there's somebody said, you have to select all the language packs that your phone originally have, and I checked, ATT Titan II needs all language packs.

yes, i read these too. That because i don't want to do the upgrade, but i could contact a friend that have this pone too, and he do the upgrade and tell me how to do it right. So i update following the steps i mentioned some post ago and it Works fine. and i only select the 2 languages that i use.
I can't test the internet sharing because i don't know how, 'cause it's blocked in my phone.

By "Nokia stuff", I meant their gps navigation, their radio, and abunch of other cool preloaded apps, someone released a ROM like this for the HTC Titan 1, plus it unlocked internet sharing/tethering. Wish we had it on our phone, lol.

Look on the bright side, at least you have LTE; the Titan I's only have at best HSPA+ but there's a catch to that too...AT&T thought it was in all our best interests to throttle our devices back so at best we might obtain 4 megs down but real world; not much greater than 1.5. Really nice of them to not tell us there throttled. I'm not aware there is a way to HSPL your devices and I'm not aware there are any ways to do it on any of the future Windows Phone 8 devices except if you happen to get your hands on a developer edition with the bootloader unlocked. I really like the Windows Phone platform but I'm fet up with the nonsense we have to go through to enjoy the full potential of them and for what reason they're as locked down as they are, I simply don't know the rationale behind it.
