Hi I am currently using the AP touch rom and don't envisage trying this for a while, bit I noticed that they had the original wm5 rom for download so this may be useful to others wanting to send their phones back with the original software.
I would be interested to see what programms were included

T-Mob Ameo WM6
Personally, I've already reverted to the PK ROM
After making the necessary registry changes for A2DP, the T-Mob ROM refused to give me the wireless stereo option, whereas the same changes on the PK ROM have been absolutely wonderful and my headset works as expected.
I'm also no expert on ROM version numbers, which was why I got confused when I saw this...
On bootscreen:
PK shows B 06 2.19
TM shows B 06 2.35
Yet, on the about screen:
PK CE OS 5.2.1933 (Build 18533.0.7.0)
TM CE OS 5.2.1620 (Build 18125.0.4.2)
I also think the T-Mobile WM6 ROM just looks far too much like their WM5 ROM.. no comm manger on the today screen for one just gets on my teats
The developers gets my uttmost respect for their work on their ROMs - keep it up, I look forward to previewing the next ROM from the team here on XDA-Devs.

hey the rom is pretty cool(not as beautiful as AP)
it has the same radio built
the thing i loved most is that the text looks richer and has vga resolution.
Yes the icons are large but the text is in VGA(Ap just have alook and please consider it in ur next update coz just because of ur sincere work Athena has lived)
the camera icon and other icons are quite funky.
the rom is alltogether snappy though old aku built.

1.You need tp map all icon
2.it is not easy to operate cause atom just only got soft touch panel

Plus remapping all icon can be a troublesome for lazy ppl like me isnt it?

I was browsing a Orange Outlet today and saw the Hurricane for 20 pounds, I was tempted to buy it just to see how much I could upgrade it.
I've never been to this side of the forum before, I own a Trinity but, let me ask, is wm6.1 cooked roms working ok on the hurricane?
For those of you in Britain, I'll be more than happy to tell you where i saw the Hurricane for 20 pounds.
Then again, maybe that's expensive, is it?
i don't know what prices are in Britain, but in Poland 20 pounds it's real good price for this device.

There's a Orange outlet Clearance store in Braintree, Essex at the Freeport Designer Village. http://www.freeport-braintree.com/
I don't know exactly where you are but, if you are close or passing by check it out. It does come in the box with Manuals and everything the only drawback is, it is locked to Orange (no problem for you) and you must buy it with 10 pounds topup from Orange, bummer.

When you upload your WM 6.1 Pro, please let me know. I have bought the phone and unlocked it after several tries. Anyway it is unlocked and good get a cooked rom on it now. My thing is I don't know how to use the bin rom, this is real new to me. If I could get a ruu rom that would be real good for me, if not you might have to give me detail destructions on how to use a bin Rom.
there are no ruu wm6/6.1 roms. only *.bin format.
if you don't know how to upgrade rom with this file format, read other threads.

What do you mean? If you mean HSPL yes there is, but if you ask about Sence 2.5 you will never see one.

Do you happen to know how that one is different from the current version? I like using touchflo and I've been paying attention to the 2.5 discussions that took place here because I find that version really useful. I would like to have something similar, not so much for the animations(I think that's why that version requires 3d accelerator), but for the shortcuts on the home tab that appear after you flick the watch. I also like the calendar tab. And I think those features could be somehow ported to the mega existing manilla because it seems only logical to me that they don't need aditional graphical processing power. What do you think?

when i got my stock orange rommed tg01 it can with an edited stripe menu i thought a flash may have the tosh origonal one but i havent fount it yet
so after an xda and google search any chance of a cab

im pretty sure orange changed even the toshiba menu so unless they were bought from yosh directly i dont think anyone has seen the real abikity of he menu.

i am also interested. On the stock winmo 6.1 it had 3d effects but in the 6.5 update toshiba removed effects becsuse they thought customers wont use it anymore.
Novembre5 perhaps you could extract a cab version from the stock 6.1 Rom?

Sorry i do not know where to get the ROM from i bought my device with 6.5 already pre-installed. All i know of these 3D effects are from another thread and at MWC's .It isnt on the Toshiba Website aswell. Sorry i cant help you there. Perhaps some others who bought the device before 6.5 may provide a dump of the rom?
yeah i thought there was a diffewrence
in the 6.1 the three stripes moves individually like opening three doors at the same times and then in the 6.5 they turned like three doors attached as one opening
cant help with the dump though

I feel upset...Toshiba's strips was considered worldwide as one of the worst apps in the ppc's history. Even Toshiba included the SPB Shell because most of users didn't use that horrible launcher...
Anyway, as said, one man's meat is another man's poison....
Dear Novembre5, if you are really thinking in making this cab, please leave this task as the less urgent of your "To do" list......

So I have had my HD2 a few months now and I've been happy with the stock look and feel.
Now I would like to start trying a few of the xda add ons and roms.....
However I do not wish to blindly jump...I figured I would ask the pros here.
So I would like to move up to the newer windows 6.5.x ( not sure what version were at), with the task bar at the bottom.
So I am on the Rogers Network ( Ontario Canada), with an Unlocked HD2.
I bought it on line but was unaware at the time I got wrong unit for here, as I only have edge...no 3g ( Unit from Hong Kong via Vancouver and ACEGSM).
No worries though, as I do not need 3G as I do so little on line on phone...Weather, a little FB, Yahoo mail, MSN Mail....so Edge works awesome for me.
So if I am to flash say mainly a stock look and feel to start, where should I start?

hey man, instead of flashing a new rom why not try cht first. its an easy .cab install and truely is awesome. after you installed that, you can then go on to mod your phone with new clocks, skins....well just about anything really. cht offers a quality starting block to build upon. just a thought bud........

So I still nned to find out, is there an HTC rom upgrade to move me up to Windows 6.5.3 ??? (or what ever the latest version is )
Or is that only by using a rom from XDA?
The reason I ask is it would be nice for me to have the buttons along the bottom of the screen, rather then the 2 screen buttons and the start at the top.....my thumb is rather stubby, so getting to start is a 2 hand job
There arent any official 6.5.x roms with the bottom start button, you'd have to HSPL your device and use a cooked rom for XDA.
Check the stickies in the rom development section for all the info you need on this.
Im not gonna make an assumption as to which model of HD2 you have, if it is the american model (green and red hardkeys / big fat double chin) then you need to be aware of the radio your flashing....
Seeing as you got it from HK then its probably not that one, better safe than sorry though....
As long as you read up on the subject first and make sure your reading the correct information for your device you cant really go wrong.
95% of the "bricked" phone horror stories you see on here are down to people not doing their homework first....
You mention that you'd prefer a close to stock feel for a custom rom so probably either an "artemis" or one of dutty's roms would be your best choice....
To be honest though if your happy with the performance your getting from your stock rom then it might not be worth the switch unless you really really want the 6.5.x look.....
+1 on the CHT suggestion too.
A must have (in my humble opinion) for any HD2....

I will try CHT first before a flash, then when I have read, reread, understand the steps required I will try the roms named.
I have to say XDA is an awesome place to learn....it was a godsend giving my SMT 5600 (Typhoon) new life. As my friend who now uses my old phone will tell you.
Now I will be able to keep my HD2 feeling fresh and fun, thanks to XDA and it's awesome people
