Notes
This version has been tested by KH, the phone worked smoothly and faster, without error. Bluetooth send/receive funtion is Ok except A2SP funtion (hasn't been tested, KH don't have any bluetooth headset to test).

The upgrade program does not have any effect and can't upgrade my ROM.

now I hold the camera button and reboot my O2 life
That can upgrade the ROM...but it can't upgrade the boot loader...help..PLX
Please read carefully the topic of this thread! This rom can not be used for Atom life, just for Atom and Atom pure only. To solve your problem, I think you should re-flash your Atom life with the previous Rom version you have!

Ok, i was wrong... hehehehe
after restart, i try it again,,, n the result...
it's working..... wifi button, email sent n receive...
but, there is another one problem. about java. i try mini opera (on java). i can't tap button menu n more (in down corner right n left)..... how about that? i try to restart n still same problem...

hi my current rom version is on my Xda Atom is "HTC Touch edition" version 6.0 windows mobile by uday
i already downoaded the 6.5 rom and it always says create c:windows/temp fail..
then..followed the suggestion that the rom should be extracted at drive C windows temp files. I've done this but still the same message appers can you help me please...

first you should choose to enable FtouchFlo:
Start menu\ Program\ Tools \ FtouchFlo settings, choose tab "general", check the box "enable FtouchFlo" then "Done".
Now your Atom is ready ( but when FtouchFlo is running you can not Align screen, this is not a bug)
->Slide your finger:
- left -> right to call the launcher of Wktask
-right-> left to open Total Commander
- up->down to minimize running programs
-down-> up to call task manager 2.9
That's it . But you can change these behaviors by using "FtouchFlo settings"

In my case,the activesync works fine with version 6.1.0.1 but don't work with version 6.1.0.3 & 6.1.0.3_final.

Hi, telling the truth, I've never sync contacts through Active Sync ( I always use Pim backup to back up and restore my contacts, sms, calendar etc...) , but my device always connects to my PC whenever I want, please check your device, cable, PC... carefully. Don't know what happens to you guys. Sorry, I couldn't help.
At last, Ìf you still can not sync your device with your PC, please use the best rom that can connect between your device and PC.

In my case I don't have any problem with active sync i'm always using this to synchronize my contacts. I'm not sure if you did this. After upgrading to the new rom you must delete the existing mobile device in active sync to allow active sync to redetect your upgraded pda. If it doesn't work reinstall active sync. Make sure it's the latest version.

Problems:
1. I can do sync. with ActiveSync on ur prev. 6.1.0.1 ROM.
But 6.1.0.3 & 6.1.0.3 final shows error. I am using ActiveSync 4.5.

2. Some application error on this ROM which ran perfect on ur prev. 6.1.0.1 ROM.

Same here. I could not agree more. I would not try any ROM with the stupid quickmenu. It just make any ROM ugly.
I like the diamond theme (or black theme) or WM7's blue theme, or any theme with just a siple color, not pictures. You know, classic is always the best. Any picture, storm, or tree, will just make the today screen crowded and unusable. Yes, that is called "ugly".
1d forever, unless something like 1d but with latest OS.
Downloaded and installed, works great. Good speed and memory. I had installed the original ROM first with HTC home but the memory usage was very high. Compared to that, this cooked one is far better and very stable till now. Havent tested bluetooth or wireless but it should be ok i guess.
Just noticed however that it doesnt have powerpoint in office mobile???

Vista users have to copy Upgrade_ROM.bat to the keepout folder and run it from there.
Warning: First flash back to WM5. I'm using a new update utility. The only thing you need to do is to click the batch file and wait. You don't need to copy cabs or other things anymore. But be sure you made a hard reset after flashing!!
The first startup of WM6.5 can take up to 5 min.

It is at least 10 MB more as WM6.1 so it has to be pure or it would be to big for our Charmers.
I just wonder, how much performance penalty comes with WM6.5 . Is the ~200MHz processor would be enough for this OS, or the memory size, etc? We will see it soon...
ON Wizard and Prophet it works. But it isn't as shiny as it is on new devices and it is very slow. But I'll try to get it ok.

Best of luck, I tryed it on a Universal and was poor on speed and a few graphical glitches when rotating the screen.
At the moment there are porblems withit. It doesn't boot. So we'll have to wait some more time.

My XDA IIs that I only use for satnav froze on me so looked for a link to reset the op system from 6.1 to whatever to make it work.
Found the following link (http://pinoytopdownloads.blogspot.com) with a zip file for WM 6.5 which worked perfect and it didnt lose any data sucjh as contacts etc when upgrading either.
Just open the zip file, rest PDA and sync with PC then run the prog and 20 mins later... it will be running WM 6.5.
Havent had any probs and the new touchflow system makes it a pleasure to use now.
Don't install that file. I haven't tried it but he said he is using a XDAII. But Charmer was never released as XDA (O2) version. Nobody will help you in this thread if you install this file. But I'll test it next week. Maybe I'm wrong.

As I said before. . And swampy, I've tested the coredll in my ROM. It boots. My PC crashed so I can't give you the ROM at the moment but I'm trying to get it. And I'm waiting for cracing to upload a ported SYS or us. Hope we'll get it soon.

Hi mata I have a 21159 sys folder ported for BA but the charmer kitchen i have will not port the xip so if you can send a link for the os.nb and boot.rgu with the 6.5 xip that boots I will finnish the sys folder and post you a link to the ported sys P.S. please make the os.nb as large as posible 58,368KB as my kitchen will not change os.nb size
The charmer rom I have up 20275 Build was ported from my BA kitchen with no troubles at all booted first time
I got the cracing 6.5 rom but have not tryed it !!!! don't want to burn my charmer

Flashing Instructions:
Download the ROM and unpack it somewere at your PC.
Use a mini-SD card (not more than 4GB) and copy AL1.DIO to the card.
Battery of the device should have more than 50% charged.
Insert the card into memory slot of your device. Press and hold RECORD button (beside the Camera button) then push Reset button with your stylus. Wait until BOOTLOADER mode appears saying "SD CARD DETECTED", release the record button.
The flashing will be continued and device will be resterted...
Wait till post processing of the OS finishes (device may restart 1/2 times)
HAPPY FLASHING!!!

Tomals ROM v. 1.0 for Atom Life
Will test it tonight. I hope that battery life is better than with the other ROMs, because my AL refuses softresetting when battery level is lower than 75% !! I have to charge it before resetting if necessary. I will tell you about my test, and Thank you for your work !!!!

Chef...
Overall is good...I like it..
1 suggestion, can you put the battery level indicator on top menu bar..
Battery life a bit short compare with other Chef ROM.

I can't change the phone to : Vibrate and ring, (the phone only accept : Ring)
Can you fix it? (change to: Vivrate and ring)

Here is my new rom.
I fix keyboard problem. But some times it dont want to work
First install applications which you want. Then install Resco keyboard. Then restart your 6815. When you want to install another application, you must reinstall Resco keyboard again.

After flashing my device restart on bootloader

could you upgrade?
Hi Frantic,
I have problem with my 6828 device, I have accidentally flash using ATOM ROm, now I can reflash.
Stages now is I have remove my battery for a min, and press "-" both to boot at Bootloader Screen V1.01, but then I trying to flash on helloworld1, and others even WM5 also nothing help.
BTW, can I know anyway you could help, and also how can I know the Ipaq is flashing? any button to press, or indication?
please help. Thanks in advance.
