Hi every body!!
i have big issues with my screen
the phone and programs buttons are always visibles no matter what i do
even when taking pictures the ghost of the buttons are visible or on soft reset.
i tried a lot of roms but the problem presists
i need help from you guys i am desesperate
thank's
Sounds like screen burn to me and if that is the case no amount of ROM flashing is gonna fix it as its a "damaged" screen.
your not the only one dude
i have the same problem, sent it in to HTC too, they didnt manage to find a fault with it and sent it back. stuck with it now, until they recognise the issue and/or it breaks more!

Hello fellow HTC HD2 users,
I have a problem with my HTC HD2 for some time, its in the touchscreen and the problem is that in the beginning my phone sometimes wouldnt respond, random locks, and a weird defect that causes a problem so i cant touch the W key on the onscreen keybord .. on all ROM/RADIO combi ive tried, also on Android builds from my SD.
But today my phone screen is black and frozen it seems, even the bootloader is a black screen, i tryed a new HSPL flash, Radio actualy everything, but it seems that its dead (only backlight lights up).
Now ive read something about older batches of phones that have this problem .. now my brother also has a HTC HD2 but got it later then me, and first thing that i noticed when i wanted to flash his software, was that he already had the 1.66 rom, while mine was with 1.48 out of the box. (ye its software but ..)
I will return it to the store ofcourse. (reflashed stock spl/rom from htc site with sd card method, just 2 days ago )
Anyone know if they will replace my phone for a new one?
Or will they just fit in a new screen?
Or mabye some tips to solve this problem?
Thanks
Tips to help you solve it ? i doubt there is .
But it may be the screen is defected .. did you drop it on the floor or something ?
And since the problem is in Android AND WinMo thenyou should consider a replacement .
Good Luck
I did bring it to the store today, now 3-4 weeks without my HD2 :'(
Anyway, no it never dropped, i always take good care of my phone, expecialy with a big screen as the HD2, it seems that this problem lies in older devices of the HD2.
Btw check this:
http://wmpoweruser.com/strange-htc-hd2-touch-screen-behaviour-is-your-device-affected/
The youtube video shows what i ment in the OP, screen 1 is MY phone, screen 2 is my Brothers phone (not actualy on that vid, but its the same resemblance).
Maybe helping people that have the same problem.
Hi, my EVO is doing weird thing..:-D When I'm calling sometimes the touchscreen not working (even with touch keys).. I usually have to wait few seconds (20) or turn off and on display.. Then everything works OK.. Its not a big issue.. But I have to sometimes wait when the other side hang up.. And its really annoying.. Or when I accidentally touch some call button.. And then I cant hang up..:-(
Anyone has some solution of this problem?.. I don't want to change my phone.. Because it takes 30days..:-D And.. I cant be 30 days without my phone..:-(

odd .. we are starting to see more and more posts regarding some kind of touch screen lag/unresponsive. does this feel like the touchscreen is lagging and/or unresponsive?
have you loaded any custom software? nand unlock/soff? custom ROM? custom kernel? theme?
it could be some piece of custom software causing the issue .. if you're completely stock and experiecing this .. i'd would lean toward calling it a hardware issue as i haven't experienced any of these things on the same stock software.
perhaps there could be an aftermarket tweak developed but with intermitent issues like this, they are really hard to nail down. is there a certain set of actions/tasks you take which you can guarantee it will duplicate the lag/or unresponsive behavior?
hope some of those questions can give us more information to figure out whats going on ...
Hi All,
I have a Galaxy S2 i9100 - Samsung XWLP7 [ROM] and would like to ask if anybody has the same problems.
Sometimes when I want to unlock my screen it responds to my touch on the screen but when I'm dragging it loses my touch and just picks it up as another touch on the screen.
But at most times when I try to unlock again it responds well, and when it is unlocked, I have no problems with the touchscreen or whatsoever.
Thanx!
I'm getting the same issue with the touch screen as well sometimes no response, been flashing a few roms over the weeks and its still a little glitchy maybe faulty screen will keep trying for a few days and see if i can get it sent back under warranty via stock rom, currently using dexter rom huge improvements throughout the phone great rom still got a touch issue though

I hope it's not a hardware issue! But I'm fairly sure it's not because after unlocking it works fine!
It looks like it's not sensitive enough.
Just watch your fingers when you unlock it, and dont let go to early, try to make it a straight line from begening to end, that should solve your problem, dont forget the most important thing, say thanks
Did you guys try to use any 3rd party locker apps???
Use the code given below to test your screen.....

I do but then it's skips the round ring around.
Use the code

And test the responsiveness of your screen
hello all. I have a problem with my screen it just started happening yesterday.the screen will distort really bad and its hard to read things then it will go back to normal.going to try to get ss of it.maybe someone can help fix or may know what might cause it.can any interference cause it? And its not the oil slick issue.
well seems the ss only shows normal so i will have to use a camera to take a pic when i can. it gets all fuzzy and distorts the screen.just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. im doing a restore of a earlier backup to see if it changes anything if not i will use a camera to grab a pic of it.
Edit: ok i found a video of the same thing my screen is doing i hope someone can help with it,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JiOGUUKFtXI

Hi my friend. I am assuming that you mean the touch issue where to menu keeps randomly flashing up and making the phone pretty much unusable?! if so,i had the same thing happen to my st15i.
the best thing to do is if you are still under warranty, take the phone back and they will sort it for you. What they will do is factory reset AND re- calibrate the touch screen.
Its to do with the device heating up, a well known problem. If you cant take it back to be fixed then let me know and i will point you in the direction of a guide to re- calibrate the touch screen yourself. I havent tried this myself as i had took mine in for repair, but it looks reasonably straight forward. No promises that it will work if you try do it yourself though
hope this helps
