Hi Guys,
I just flashed my Softbank with the new Tytn Rom from South Africa.
Everything seems fine. But when opening contacts, and I was trying to search for a name by typing it in (tried it with both keyboard and soft keyboard), but when ever I type anything, it just closes the program by itself, or freezes. If I just scroll down the list, it works fine. It's just the searching function that's messed up. Can any one please lead me in to finding the cause and solution? I think this is a very weird problem to have.
Please help.

I am running this rom and I have no problems with the search function, I have around 800 contacts to search from

Did you restore your contacts from pim.vol created from the previous rom? I had this problem when I restored mine created from xda Atom to my Artemis. So i had to delete it and grab the contacts from snycing with outlook
I always sync them from outlook at if my device dies then I always still have my contacts in outlook.
Second to Shark1's suggestion. I always use activesync to 'replace' all information on device during the first sync. As I said in the South Africa ROM thread, no contact search problems here running the SA v1.35 ROM.

Hi Guys, i have a small question, i am using TNT.SE, sometimes, after running Live MSN on my JASJAM, when i open my contacts, i find them empty!!, i go out and come back, and it's the same, after doing a soft reset it works out, can any one help in solving this?
Hey guys. I've got a problem. When I add my live messenger account to my Pocket PC (wm6), it syncs ALL contacts that I have (tells me how many copied). but when I open Live messenger it only shows 73 contacts. What happened to the rest? People keep writing me, but I don't get any messages because they are not listed in live messenger...
What do I need to do in order to get ALL my Live messenger contacts showing in the list. Oh and btw, the 73 contacts are online+offline contacts.

the problems is on installing it at the first time. It is interrupted. So sync contact is not all of them.
I have the WM6 Rom - Downloaded it here in the forum. TNT 5.
Windows Live Version 10.6.0031.2600.
...so according to the last reply...is it now possible to get my contacts??? Or do I have to hard reset it??? Please...don't tell me thats neccessary...I just installed everything the way it needs to be.

Perhaps you can remove your first WML installation (Settings>System>Remove Programs) and install again. Be patient when it synchronize and make sure it won't be interupted.

I can't delete it, because it was pre installed. I synchronised a couple of times now. It always says that it synced ALL my contacts, but only a couple (73) get displayed.
Then that isn't the cause appearantly...
It almost looks that there is a maximum to the imported contacts, but I never heard of that before and it would be stupid too...
check the contact name lengths per contact. is there any too long ones or containing characters specific to non-English languages?
check the free space available in memory.
check the connection/firewall settings on winxp if u are using a conn over pc. Once, i had a problem related to that. The connection was normal at the beginning, after a few seconds it was off. i could send and receive information at that short time..
There is no problem with storage or long names or what so ever.
Is there anyway to solve this problem???
I'm using wireless to get online.
Just, sign in using your windows live msn PC and goto option then goto who add me section then add them all.. after that all of your contact will be displayed properly in your ppc... its work for me
when I add the contacts AGAIN on the PPC it says that the contact is already on the contact list...but it still isnt. I hate this error.

that is not the way.. here is the tutor
1.Login using windows live PC ( not PPC !)
2.Goto Option and Privacy Tabs
3.Right click each of the people on your allow list then add to contact.
If you follow all the steps, there should be no problem on your ppc
i am trying to connect my Htc Tytn - Hermes on Yahoo messenger through Agile messenger and it gets stacked right after the log in. and nothing happens.
if i connect to yahoo through http//:mm.yahoo.com it works but i don't have the same options...
can anyone please tell me what to do or advice me?
also when on wifi it won't load web pages.. any way to solve those 2 issues...?

any software that could solve the problem, or how do i do it to sync with my Contacts on iMac or maybe the Microsoft Outlook for Mac.
