i am about to flash my first rom and i thank you for this forum about how great its explain things you might don not know about the device .
but before i start i have a question .
currently i live in japan and my phone X05HT from softbank using W-CDMA and i was wonder if W-CDMA =GSM (in a way of flashing the rom or NO)???
also what is the best Rom available for my device.(Am looking for something Stable and Fast)

i also made some research and i got this explanation:

so for examplae if i would bought the phone unlocked sim free and insert my current Softbank Usim card should work fine . right ??? cause the phone handle GSM andW-cdma
so i am confused and dont know what i should be doing???

yeah am still wondering and what if i flash it using GSM rom and it was CDMA do i Break the phone ....i mean is there a safer way????
as am thinking just an original Rom work for both ???

so i made it and installed my first Rom .thanks for helping me before.
If you are looking for stability, i would recommend the RRE roms....

I have a similar problem so I thought to post here.
I have a I5500L.
It came with this firmware out of the box I5500LUYJP9 (2.2) it was locked to Movistar (Venezuela).
I unlocked it with SRS to use it with my carrier (Digitel Venezuela).
No matter what I try, I cannot make it work with 3G, only EDGE.
I've tried many things, changing bands, forcing WCDMA, and a lot of tricks found on this and other forums, but nothing works.
It's not that it doesn't work with 3G and goes to EDGE, but that te phone is only working on basic GSM, and cannot connect to the network if I change any setting.
Funny thing is my wife has an I5500 (without the L), it was bought unlocked, it came with some European Firmware, and hers works perfectly with 3G.
She has the same carrier as me.
Another thing to note is, my phone detects a network called "Digitel", her phone detects a network called "DIGITEL-GSM".
¿What could be the problem?
¿Could I flash some European firmware to my phone to make this work?

there no danger in changing basebands, the only thing is, some will, and some wont work. you should just try the baseband from wherever you are 1st, but if that doesnt work, try another. doesnt matter if you are from UK and you use an american baseband, if it works, its completely fine

In my case not work, i test all baseband in this link. Phone purchased in amazon and flashed with AROJP8 (Argentina-ROM)

My phone connect only to 3g network, if i'm going to a non 3g network location it does't connect to 2g network

IN 3G it work perfectly, does the Radio cause this problem. if yes please suggests the best Radio
is your setting for 3G UMTS 2G GMS set to auto ? (needs to be to "auto" switch between 3G<>2G)
If it is set correct a radio change may be a good idea for testing purposes.

Ya i have tried only 2g also when i search for network manually it shows no network
i have also tried a couple of radio rom's also....
you tried selection of other sims from a range of network providers ? maybe good idea as results of this will help conclude if device or network related.
I would also think about a hard reset & then if persists trying a custom ROM such as NRG's WM6.5.x roms as they are very stable ...

i have tried a NRG's Rom also still the problem exist. No improvment at all, please give me more idea so that iwill try it.
What Radio & what version HD2 you on, also what network & country sim/sims are you having the issue with ?

i'm using T-mobile HD2 with 1GB Rom
I would try radio in my sig along with a review on all phone/connection settings & testing more than one sim that is validated working on 2G on another device.
If problem persists after ROM/radio flashing & setting checks then it possibly hardware related ...
Do make sure radio bands are set to correct frequency to match provider GSM band or auto as well as GSM/WCDMA being on auto, expect already is but worth double checking ...

i‘m afraid that there’ll be a few custom rom for A199,for the k3v2 cpu,it is special,which needs to confirm the boot.imgfile all the time,unless Huawei would unlock this structure.the models like A199,such as Huawei P6,U9508,Mate,etc all have this sort of question
on Anzhi page ,chinese developers only ported miui for them due to miui uses the same boot file.

is there any thread on anzhi to hack the cdma slot? becoz I just find hack for gsm only.

I finally got my phone unlocked, now i need to back up NV items... i tried using the NV item reader/writer but the back text files shows "Unknown Error" on all items.. anybody have any other solutions?

I've buy one A199 when I was in China for work 4 months ago , now I'm returned in Europe but my phone company use only 3g and this phone actually use only 2g line.
Now my question are , There is european firmware for this phone?
It's possible to unlock 3g line and /or there are custom roms for european use?
And the last question is , It's possible to add android market? because actually if I download the app, it isn't possible to open

If you mean to use 3g in GSM card slot - no, you cannot, it is only for GSM 900/1800 Mhz, but not for HSDPA 2100 Mhz. CDMA card slot you can use only for cdma 800 Mhz also. As to Google account and market - sure you can. You need to root your phone first with a help of EROOT program . Then use gapps-jb-20121011-signed . I suggest to do this all on clean last firmware version CV100R001C92B130 .

You can't. That phone uses different bands then the US. You will have to get a world phone.

"World phone", also known as a quad band phone. If you want an unlocked phone to work on T-Mobile's LTE, it'll need to support band 4.

Well, I don't think there's nothing much you can do with your phones as the US mobile network operated at different band and your device may not be supporting that band better option for you would be getting a new phone form the vendor other than this no other option can help you much with the problem you are currently experiencing.

Its imported from China but I am unable to use any CDMA sim in India as it shows no network but I can use GSM sim in India on its second slot . So I think it first slot i.e CDMA may be locked to its original network or region i.e China Telecom and China Region.
I have searched a lot on this and does not found any help but found this is a general problem on all dual sim cdma+gsm mobiles imported from china.
I have already tried various steps like unlocking bootloader, s-off , changing cid but did not receive any success on unlocking cdma network.
I also want to install gapps but there is no custom recovery for this version on one max only availabe is FOR sprint t6_spr , t6_vzw,
and mine is t6_dwg.

Well that goes against the CDMA standard. I know india phones well and the dual sim is for dual GSM sims or a CDMA data sim. CDMA is completely different tech then GSM that uses sim cards. If it is locked then you will have to call the Carrier that released the phone and have it unlocked but I think you will find even then you will only get a data sim with CDMA
