l bought a HTC headset BH S100, for my blackstone, and the problem is that my device doesn t recognize the headset.
l turned on the headset until it started flashing blue and red, , then in my device l pushed add new bluetooth headset. " no nearby bluetooth headset was found". get as an answer

I had a similar problem - and it was my fault.
On my headset, a blinking light means the headset is on, but it does not mean it is ready to be paired up with the phone for the first time.
I had to hold the power button a few seconds longer until the light stayed on (not blinking).
At that point the headphones are ready to be paired and the phone can find them.
You only have to do that once. Later on, it is enough to simply turn the headphones on (in other words stop holding when the light is blinking).
If you flash a new ROM on your phone, you'll have to pair the headphones again.
Let me know if that worked for you.

O2 XDA II->WM2003SE->Sin->Merged->v2.0

The rom is great But two problems I face,
First during a long phone call, may be when the device goes on standby the call is hanged up?????
second I installed the Bluetooth tools, which as we all know is is still nut compatible with wm2003se but during a phone call sometimes the speaker and mic on device continue working although I am having a conversation using the but headsets
Third when I plug my earphones in the device to hear music and a phone call comes in, instead of hearing the ring only in the earphones' the device rings as well
can any one help

Hi there, I installed the same rom, but I didn't have your 1st problem, 2nd problem YES.
1st problem, unfortunately the longest call I had was about 7 minutes recently but everything was alright, no cut off. How long was your call and what time do you set the device to go standby ? "Turn off device if not used for ? minutes".
2nd problem, I wouldn't have known this if you didn't bring it up as I rarely use the earphones. But I can confirm that I too experience the same thing. The ringer goes off even when the earphone is plugged in.

I have the same problem. When I', using my phone and have it in my handsfree holder in the car - both the bluetooth and the speakers turn on, and therefor I can not use my bluetooth headset....

I bought a Logitech Mobile freedom head set recently. i had tested its connection and range with an MP3 streaming to the ear piece. all worked fine... however I recieved an actual telephone call on it today and it as indistinguishable, unless I was inside one foot away! The voice was garbled and echoey.
I subsequently tested the headset with my sony ericcson T610 and it works flawlessly.
Looks like I have to upgrade the bluetooth stack? is this correct? As I am not knowledgable in the flashing side of the unit, do i have to flash the unit to reinstall a more recent OS, or can I just execute a patch which updates my bluetooth?
Indeed, will upgrading my bluetooth help at all?
i'd appreciate your help and any information on this.

you can try out the broadcom/vidcomm bluetooth stack to see if that helps

mmm.... tried that and it wouldn't over write a file... phoneif.dll was open in nthe rom or something.
After which bluetooth wasn't working so I hard reset.... now my ear piece won't carry sound from the phone at all..... i can still hear the system sounds when i press the button on the headset, just can't be used at all in calls now :S

Ok i just bought this headset and I must say it is really great and everything works.
it has in ear headphones it is really great the sound is great. all the buttons work so no problem.
what i liked about this headset was when someone calls you you see the caller on the screen so you know who calls you. it has a mic on the cord so you can talk with the headset. u can change songs and adjust the volume. the volume is not the phone volume but the headset volume.
First Connection:
I turned the headset on and it wanted to sync with a phone. On the hero i searched for bluetooth devices and found the headset, i Clicked on it. it connected without any problem.
Issues:
I only have one problem when i listen to music it lags sometimes. i don't know if it comes from the headset or from hero. I thought when the screen goes to standby the bleutooth doesn't work 100% to save battery but i'm not sure. If someone knows what the problem can be please let me know how to fix it. maybe its with most bluetooth headsets, if someone uses bluethoot headset without a music lag please let it know.
Battery Life:
I received my headset today so for now i can't tell much about the battery life. i used it today a little bit. the battery life today was great. i started using my phone at 8 Am the battery was fully charged. i made some calls total 15 minuts. i used 3g to surf the internet for 1 hour, i played some games it also total time of 1 hour, i connected the headset with the phone it was connected for 4 a 5 hours with 45 minuts music listening. the battery showed 15% at 3Am so i used my phone for 19 Hours and then it showd 15% battery life. i think that this is amazing. i will let you know when i tested it with full day connected with the headset but for now you have to do with this.

I have this same SE headset but it does not pair with my Hero (white unlocked) when I do a scan it wouldn't show up at all on the phone. I've tried the new update from Modaco, no joy.
The phone can see & pair with a regular headset (not stereo) and also with a couple of phones (iphone 3GS/SEw910).
Any ideas?

When you wan't to connect the headset make sure that the headset shows the sync icon. it is the icon where the headset is shown and then sync icon and the phone icon. if this shows up you will be able to sync it with the phone. to get it in this state you have to hold the on/off switch till you see the sync icon.
I have the Brown HERO with modaco 2.0 rom. i didn't had any issue's with connecting

Yes! that did it, I just didn't had to do that before with my MDA Vario2. Thank you very much. By the way, I don't have any problems with the sound skipping or lagging which was present on the MDA but there was a fix/tweak for that.
One thing, there is no headset icon in the notification bar like when you plug in a wired headset, is this normal?
Yes i don't have the icon either. but the bluetooth shows conncted. if you change the volume on the phone you will see the headset and bluetooth icon.
i foud what was cousig the lag, the background proceses are the reason when you close everythin with taskkiller it will work. the lag comes when its checking mail or when i recieve a sms.
maybe overclocking will fix this issue but i dont want to do that (bad experiance).

I used to have stutter problems when connected to my car stereo via bluetooth.
It was caused by the wifi being on. Switching it off removed stutter.
My wireless is always off when i leave home, maybe the first day the wireless was one and then where there so many lags. but now when i'm listning there arent so many lags anymore.
Like i sayd it its happends if you run other processes. i hope this will be fixed in android 2.0

Bluetooth Headset HBH DS970
I have had my bluetooth headset plugged in for hours and the red LED IS ON. It is my understanding that after fully charged the LED will go out. The LED Will not go out when I have it charging. I have attempted to pair the headset but when I hold the power on button the LED never flashes blue.....any ideas?

its Motorola T305 ... with my previous tytenII it was sending a msg to connect as soon i start it when my ppc bluetooth on
but with my new HD no way .. every time i'm searching to add it ..nothing appear as its invisible
why with HD ?!

This might be a bit of a silly question but is the speaker in pairing mode when youre searching for it if its not your phone wont find it anyway if youre unsure how to put it in pairing mode try this
To initiate easy pairing, power on hands-free
speaker by pressing and holding the Power
button until the indicator light becomes
steadily lit in purple. Release the button and,
after a few moments, the indicator light will be
steadily lit in blue to indicate hands-free
speaker is in pairing mode then search for speaker with phone

but with HD no way .... and i dont know way
i was using WM6.5/wm6.1 with tyten II ....and i didn't face this problem at all to connect it
till i purchased HD .. i thought the problem with the Rom
but all 5 roms that i checked it same problem i faced
i think there somthing different with HD or some setting have to be make .. i don't know !!!

I'm new to this site so apologies if I'm in the wrong place or this has been raised before but I've googled with no joy..
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 uk unlocked.
For the last month or so m having problems with Bluetooth devices and loudspeaker (seems to be connected)
I can connect to bluetooth devices fine, beats wireless and vw car bluetooth.
It connects automatically and I can talk and hear fine, after a while the sounds drops and it goes echo like, I can't hear the other person at all but on the phone the green button Nader headset is still lit up and the connection is still made. I have to press the headset button to in light it/disconnect it and then re press to connect / light the button back up. I then can hear the person again but it does this continuously throughout the call. Listening to music via Bluetooth is fine and this problem doesnt arise.
When using loudspeaker it's the same, will go to phone (button lit) and I have to press it again twice to disconnect and reconnect.
Can't find out why this happens. I've done a factory reset and it allowed me a few days of it working fine but then goes back to normal.
Anyone else having this problem? I've read a lot about it disconnecting and having to repair but mine seems to stay connected but just drop the sound?
