I searched on many many sites and forums , and the users said that is a little bit possible to have wm 6.5 on our Oxygens.It is true?

Tried to make 6.5 but it won't boot normally It shows carrier_splash.png and then almost hang. After a few of minutes it boots to today, but there is no radio support and some applications (like tmail.exe) don't load (there is an error that them are not for WinCE).
What is new in your develop on WM 6.5

I am new at PDAs, so i don't know which rom it's the best for my Gene new version, which room you think it's the best, WM 6.5 its my preference
EDIT: Right now i finished the Sumit's ProUsers WM 6.5 Edition v1.02 installation, and i think its a very nice rom, so i am keeping it
Wm 6.5 is a work in progress right now buddy, both from Microsoft and from us, XDA Developers, so you will have to keep checking roms as they are being released. And we are gonna have the final version of WM 6.5 to be released very soon (rumoured on 11th may) so we will have plenty of more ROMs then

By the way, still no free sim unlocker for gene? i am using my pda without SIM because of that, i really want tu use it for phoning to, but my SIM its from other operator and don't work in my gene :S
PS: When i turn on my Gene it have a boot screen from the operator that it is locked, can it be changed to?

Can anyone tell me if I can upgrade to WM6.5 (english) from WM6 (CE OS 5.2.1622 - Build 18128.0.4.4)
HTC Touch Dual (NIKI100) Radio is: 1.58.1627.
Do I have to update the radio to 1.65 ? if so,...um...how do I do that?
Which WM6.5 Rom would I then need to flash to end up with 6.5 in english on my Touch Dual?
Could someone please put me out of my misery if it's a "no"..........I think I can handle it.....
Have you even looked at the rest of the threads here? There are quite a few WM6.5 roms floating around and a lot of them are english.

Thanks for your reply..yes. I've been reading these forums for around 2-3 years now so I know the roms are out there of course, but that wasn't my question. I have seen some horror stories too of some people upgrading and having the wrong radio version installed and ending up with big problems. My Touch Dual is quite old now with an older radio version than most I see here. So, of course I can download a WM6.5 in english, but my question is firstly, can I upgrade the radio version (without my phone being rendered useless !)because it seems that most 6.5 versions require a radio of at least 1.65 , and then a suitable version of WM6.5 after that. Just need a yes or no answer really...

an official 6.5 rom for the nike is not available! the last available official htc rom for the nike is a 6.1, but i think htc dont release a official 6.5 rom .

upgrade 1st to latest version of 6.1 available from HTC ( official version that match you CID/language).
this will upgrade your radio so you don't have to upgrade radio, also you will have a original rom that your original spl will accept if you mess up ( forget to HardSPL ).
run SoftSPL and flash HardSPL 1.22
flash a WM6.5 rom
you could brick your phone but i think the dangerous part is flashing HardSPL.
while original SPL is there u can flash original rom (WM6.1) and after anything by starting into bootloader tricolor screen (Pwr+Camera after reset).

I have tried searching but find the site a bit of a maze, or i find threads with 50+ pages, which for some reason load slow for me, so getting nowhere fast. My search queries came up with nothing, even when i just put in: wm 6.5 for example and selected the Nike forum.
I have a UK Orange Branded Touch Dual, currently unlocked etc with 1.58.16.27 radio and running wm 6.1 professional using i think wwe rom.
I want to update to wm 6.5. I find the radio section a little confusing, which updated version is best for my specific phone? I know i have to update before i can install wm 6.5.
What is the best rom featuring wm.6.5 in english?

I have an XDA atom which originally had windows 5.0
After looking around this site i upgraded to 6.5
I was wondering is there any problems/issues with downgrading to perhaps 6.1 as i read somewhere on here that 6.5 uses a lot of RAM.
Also, is 6.1 a good choice? Or should i stick with 6.5? The version of 6.5 was developed by Khoa ha if that helps at all. (

If you are comfortable with 6.5, you should just stick to it, unless the performance is actually bothering you as WM6.5 is meant for devices with bigger ram and memory.
Anyway, you can upgrade and downgrade back and forth between 6.5 and 6.1 and 6 without any special downgrading or upgrading procedure. Just do the usual by going into bootloader or via activesync, make sure DSUU and other required files are in \window\temp and execute the DSUU program. You need to make sure the temp directory is cleaned out before copying new ROM's into it otherwise you might get undesirable results.
As for WM6.5, you can try Helloworld1, Glossyx1, Searcher or Tabbe's version, I think theirs are better than Khoa Ha as I remember reading somewhere, Khoa Ha's version are not very RAM and battery friendly.
As for WM6.1, you can try Helloworld1, Glossyx1 or Pdaviet's built 20764(get clean ver) as these are the clean and basic without those additional applications put in as OEM.
I would suggest you try first Jiggs ROM(0.7a.0 B3) WM6 first and then work your way up to decide which ROM suits you best.......

I am currently trying a couple of different roms, however on xda-developers there are about 3 or 4. I have tried the ones on the Chinese zinc form o2zinc.cn and they work perfectly, but they are in Chinese and not in English so they are not very usable.
I have tried to extract them using XtractAbi.exe however I am presented with the following message:

The roms I have tried are the latest versions of wm6.5 (Builds 23547 and up). I have also downloaded two of the kitchens available from the website however the XtractAbi.exe in them does not work as well.
The only ROM that will extract is the official O2 WM6 ROM. I think that I would need to cook the SYS of a latest wm6.5 on to that ROM, however would not know where to start.
