My brother had to re-lock and send in his phone in because the touch screen stopped working.
He now has his new phone but it won't unlock. He says the unlocker ran via ruu, but it didn't change the boot loader. He then tried to hard reset the phone but it wouldn't, it would just soft reset. He then flashed the stock rom (as a way to force a hard reset) After the flash, after carrier cabs installed, the phone is stuck at alignment screen. If he soft resets, it just boots and goes to the alignment screen. So 2 questions:
1. How to get passed the alignment screen?
2. How to get this phone ulocked?

You can get past step 1 with step 2. MIGHTYROM 5 has removed screen alignment, using premade setup he designed.
Onto the issue of unlocking, make sure your following the correct instructions. Besides this, a defective product is the only answer. You arn't leaving out details right?
ALSO: Try Hard resets via holding Power + Volume up and applying a soft reset
He's getting another. 2 bad phones. Third one should be the charm as they say.

I Attempted a rom flash to my wizard using the shell+bugfix thing w/ the official Tmobile Rom, but as it was Flashing the rom, it froze, and i comp reboot, and phone is now stuck at the loading screen, w/ the ILP & SPL & GSM & OS numbers.. HELP!? pls

I can get the rainbow (Camera + Soft Reset) screen but can't connect to ActiveSync to flash my phone again with Wizard Love.
ActiveSync doesn't detect the phone on bootloader, but if you try to flash it, it will flash

Hi,
I'm stuck on the splash screen after trying to use the shelltool_bugfixed program. can you show me how to get out of it?
And also how do you do a hard reset on a a 8125?
Depending of your Wizard type, obtain the original vendor ROM and flash it.
To hard reset, press and bold both top buttons on both sides (Comm. Manager and Voice) and trigger the reset hole (under IR on right side)
The Problem Is...
Every time i restart my phone via any type of reset....
(soft reset, hard reset, battery out of the phone, powerbutton turn off, a programs phone restart)
... the phone turns straight to the bootloader screen. It does not do the normal viberate and restart.
To get the phone to restart I have to go through a long process of removing the battery, plugging it into the charger, pressing all the buttons with a million resets.
Then eventually it will start up like normal.
Titan_exitbl.exe does not do anything... It sends the code and goes straight back to bootloader screen with any of the bootloaders stock or olipro customs
What I Have Tried:
installing and reinstalling the 3.39, 3.35, 1.30 stock radio
installing and reinstalling correct combinations of roms for the above radios. (including stock)
installing all bootloaders (including relocking)
each with their corresponding roms and radios
What I Think
Because of not being able to hard reset something is wrong there.
i'm open to suggestions
Where exactly are you right now?
What bootloader, ROM, and radio do you have installed? Are you able to boot into Windows Mobile?
right now completely stock i'm in windows mobile
i have now done a hard reset via settings->system-> clear storage

I've got the same thing happening to me... I was running the test "sprint" radio on my alltel 6800 along with no2chem's latest rom... it started happening, so I decided to install the newest stock alltel rom... didn't fix it at all. What sucks now is I can't even get activesync working witht eh alltel rom now...
Also, I can get it to boot if I do one thing. If I connect up a usb cord (to a computer, or my usb headphone adapter) and hit soft reset, it'll boot fine.
However, soon as I hit that soft reset button on the bottom again, back to bootloader it goes.
This happened to me once before a long time ago, I fixed it by relocking the device and installing a stock Alltel rom... however I've read that's a bad idea with the newer GPS enabled roms and can kill the phone.
any ideas?
Just a quick update... after messing around I had an idea... I connected the USB headphones so I could actually do a soft reset that works... But this time, instead I held down the power/cam when I did it so it would load the boot loader... my thinking was that it might trick it into not loading it. Sure enough, it worked. Now when I hit soft reset, it does just that. No more boot loader unless I hold down those buttons.
Very strange... like the phone got tricked into thinking the buttons were always pressed down on restart.
Anyways, hopefully this will help others that might come across this issue.

ok I did the soft spl method and flashed the WizFlo Latest went to 100% and soft reseted then went to the Windows Mobile Wiz Flo Screen and said tap here to setup your device i tapped it went to the align screen page and then locked up. I took out the battery and turned it back on this time it locked up on the tap here to setup your device screen. I did a hard reset and it locked again at the align screen. Now it locks on the tap here to setup your device screen and even hard reset wont work. I also have tried holding down the camera button to get into the boot loader but it does nothing? any ideas?

ok i finally got it to hard reset again but it still doesnt help anything. also the camera button being held down does nothing for me?

Ok I finally got into the bootloader screen and it shows USB in the bottom left but the RUU is unable to make a connection?

Ok I got it working. Not sure how but I just rebooted the XP machine and disabled the USB in activesynce (Also used a different battery) and Viola it loaded the original Tmobile Rom. Now Im just afraid if i try to do the Wiz Flo again it will do the same thing any thoughts should i install the Wizard Love rom first?

It must have been a bad flash,nothing to get worried,sometimes,even SoftSPL doesn't load properely,it'll only work when the screen has gotten completely white and displays patched IPL/SPL.
Well,try to flash again,but if it still fails,you shud get the phone HardSPL instead of SoftSPL and upgrade to any wm6.1 rom.
Yea i tried it a second time and same thing. So i should do a hard spl then?
oh btw: it didnt show me a ipl/spl after loading softspl it simply wetn to a blank white screen and when it was updating the rom there was a progress bar on the computer but not on the phone still just a blank white screen.

Then, as Zabardast said, you should try HardSPL. It can be reversed, so if you need to flash back, you still can, so don't worry.
WizFlo is very nice. Using it right now...

I loaded a rom onto my HTC FUZE tonight and when it finished loading, it reset on its own and once it resets, it loads the background gets to the first screen and doesnt load the OS. I have tried soft resetting and hard resetting the phone. hard resetting restores, shows "press VolUp to boot" and resets and instantly loads background. so far nothing seems to work. any ideas?

Just to be 100% clear, did you perform the HardSPL first before trying to load your ROM?

In order to be able to flash custom ROM's to your device, you must ensure that your device has been HardSPL'ed. Additionally, you may want to look at Security/CID unlocking the device. If these steps were not performed, you will need to flash an official HTC "stock" ROM back to your device - one that is specific to the carrier you are with.

That said; in order to properly guide you, members are likely going to need a little more information such as:
ROM your trying to flash
Is the device HardSPL'ed
Is the device unlocked
Flashing via USB or SD-Card

My guess is that petesky did one of two things: 1. flashed the wrong hard spl and/or unlocker and bricked his phone. 2. Flashed the proper hard spl, then flashed a rom for another device (a cdma touch pro or a rhodium or something like that). You can recover from #2 (as long as there wasn't a radio in there, too) but there's no prayer of recovery from #1. If it's #2, then just flash a stock rom.
Please Can someone help me, I had a friend help me flash my HD2 because I had a dutch version ROM and I really didn't know how to do it myself and it seem working fine not until I got a call but couldn't answer it and the phone got stuck. Each time I reset it wouldn't help, it will gets stuck at htc and won't load up. I did a hard reset and it loaded up but when I tried calling it got stuck again. This morning I tried to flash a new ROM from CleanEX DsE Core ROM Series (6.5.X ManiMore) every thing seems going on well during synchronization from computer. it showed the last ROM being (Miri_HD2_WM65_21914_Sense25_V18.0). But now the phone wont get to a complete start up. I cant hard reset it any more since it keep continuing from the same htc screen spot before battery removal, not giving me the chance to hard reset from power down mode. when I soft reset it once, it got to the point when it ask for my pin code but it went back to the htc screen mode again before completion. now I cant do any thing just staring at the htc screen.
He first flashed the ROM with HSPL. I saw something like SPL 1.42 SPL 1.42.HSPL on the reset screen. Is this suppose to be the correct HSPL number? and how can I go about this, I need all the help please.
Hold the Volume-Down button and switch on. This should get you to the Bootloader Mode.
Run Task29 to clear any latent info on your phone.
Flash the Radio ROM (the Custom ROM will specify which ones to select).
Flash the Custom ROM.
Please read the ROM's page to make sure that your phone will work with that ROM and Radio and all the instructions.
