Ok, so on to the next issue. How do I get the "push internet" to work . When I select "add new push page" in TF3D2 and I get a blank screen and when I try to select the soft tab for all bookmarks it does nothing. I have seen that there is a cab fix for this but have not found a dl link for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Make sure that you:
A: Have your bookmarks stored not in folders
B: Dont mind push internet not working as I havent found anyone who has successfully had it working
(If you do get it working, please share the knowledge)

I have push internet working on my phone. You need to add a fav site in opera by going to a web page you want to add then select the star icon at the bottom right in opera. Then select the plus icon in the bottom right. Then select the check mark icon in the bottom right. Now exit out of opera and select Add new push page and select the web page you just added in opera favs. Not all versions of opera work with push internet so some roms may not work.

I am using 9.5 build 15613. I can post the cab but I think it has settings for At&t. You would need to change the proxy settings in opera.

I'd love to see a list of Opera builds this works with. Mine's 2745, which I use since it works great with Hebrew (RTL issues), but it doesn't give me push Internet.

i have been using NRGZ energy rom with the same opera build but even after several registry tweaks, i cant get push internet working...any ideas?

I like the Pocket IE home page with its search, history, favourites.
But i dont like the way it uses live.com for its search.
So you can make a quick regedit and now it uses google.

I tried that but for some reason it too me to google but didnt preform the search..

after applying the google hack, it seems there's a problem with more than one word searching! has anyone else experience this??
From the PIE home page multiple word searchs work fine but from WML they dont, it seems WML passes the info with html tags such as %20 for spaces. Not sure how to get around that besides not using WML

how to change back to the original settings for WML?
I dont seem to have a copy of the original settings.
If someone can go into their phones registry and tell me what the value of
HKLM/Services/Windows Live/HSAppPlugins/SearchURL
Then i will make cab to restore the settings.

I have 2 questions about my Mogul.
1- Is it possiable to change the default web browser to something other then PIE? for instance if i click on a link in my email i would like it to open in Opera Mini-Java, can taht be done? Or at least done in some other browser?
2 - Can i get Sprint TV on my phone yet? I know it was out there for a while as i had it, then it was deactivated. It is part of my plan and i would like to use it if i can. But i'm using DCD's latest ROM which doesn't have it, if it is possiable can someone package (or point me to) an installer?
And a shout out to all of you guys who do this stuff for beer and such these mod's are so amazing!

I don't know if this file will help or not.
If you upgrade to the latest official Sprint ROM, you will get SprintTV included/installed along with it.
You can find the latest official ROM here:

As far as using another browser as your default, I'm afraid I just put up with PIE and have never looked at switching. I presume it is a registry setting.
Try looking at:

And that's how I got the cab. After installing the rom... clicking on Sprint TV... brought the dialog for the CAB file. LOL
there's a thread on the development and hacking page called jzsmartmort. it'll allow you to change your default browser to whatever you want (opera mini, skyfire etc). its worked for me, and pretty simple to do. install a cab and click the option you like within the jzsmartmort prog.

It looks like there are a huge number of "mime" types in the HKCR branch like \HKCR\http\Shell\Open\Command that points to IE. So you would have to change all these to point to Opera and cross your fingers it works.

Or you could just use my Opera Mini or Java Pack located in my signature.

I believe it is the right key. My pda opens up in opera mobile 8.65 when I follow email links. I didn't know how it knew to do that. Checking this key shows that it is set to
"\Program Files\Opera\OperaLaunch.exe" %1

GC's installer worked perfect as well as the installer for the Sprint TV, infact i'm watching it now, now if i could just get the audio from Sprint TV to go through my Bluetooth headset i'd be set!

You might try BTaudio. I have used it to send audio from wm player to my headset. I don't know why it wouldn't work for TV as well.

The quality of sound is horrible but it will work for TV also....
If you do not mind testing/flashing and would like to try this ROM please do so.
Build 20771, TP2 TF3D and some other Rhodium apps. Can you please test Data, activesync, bluetooth, GPS and other basic functions. Please report back even if nothing is found.

A newer build...just want to make sure it is ready for general relase.
Installed, so far data and activesync look the goods. Ill test GPS etc over my lunch break.
Some different program icons...what do you think?
Same for me... Data, activesync, and basic functionality looking good so far. A couple of big pluses for me - memory use is only about 33%. It was above 50% on NRG's rom with TF3D 2 (that's not meant as any kind of negative towards NRG, I love his newest rom too, just a comment). And Weather Watcher works correctly. On all other cooked roms I've tried Weather Watcher appears "zoomed out".

Do you have new taskbar icons too? (hopefully I'm not being too greedy here).
I just flashed with this rom and checked the date. It said rom date is 03/14/09 was wondering maybe you just forgot to change the date?

A small problem (with a solution). You can't add file explorer as a favorite anywhere in the first two rows of favorites. Or more acurately, you can add it, but it won't launch. The solution is explained in post #500 here:

Go to tools...and in there is a nifty little app to change it.
Not sure what you mean how it works. I believe it is there for apps that use so they can auto rotate.

Regarding the GSensor thing, I was expecting "it is there for apps that use so they can auto rotate" but it is not working for all of the apps. it works for the calculator program but so far calculator is the only program that rotates as it should. I wish my Garmin XT would rotate .. is there any whitelist thing where I need to enter the information of Garmin XT ?
I will keep on testing this ROM and update.

You can use the G-Config program to add programs to the whitelist, available here. Makes adding applications a breeze, hit add new app, open the app and put the stylus in and reset. Works real nice with tf3d too

First impressions, very fast, quickly syncing with my Exchange, no flaws found im my first couple of minutes playing with it.
Was hoping to see the new start menu (the unpopular one, is seems, but the new one) and it wasn't there...is there a fix or cab to have that?

Save m.google.com/voice to your IE bookmarks, then, if you're using manila add a quick link under the Browser tab.
one tap ('cause we ain't really clicking anything here) will get you directly to your GV inbox via Opera 9.5.
I've been really looking for a real GV app, and the closest your can get right now (IMO) is iDialer.

Hey guys, did a quick Google search on this and didnt see any answers to this bizarre quirk.
I am on non-rooted ICS (stock) - no comments from the peanut gallery about this. Once CM is stable enough that I feel I can use it, Ill switch.
Now, on to the problem.
I installed Chrome and set it to the default browser (but Ill probably change it considering what Im about to post) and set the home page to google.
I begin typing a search query, for example, 'Samsung AT&T No' and Google presents some suggestions of what it thinks Im going to actually search for. Tapping ANY of these suggestions hides the suggestion list and does NOT fill in my query with the suggestion I tapped. In addition, the keyboard is also hidden until I tap in the query edit field again.
In addition, Id like to just state for the record, xda is TERRIBLE on mobile (the website). I dont know what this new 'theme' is but it is barely functional on mobile, on the desktop, the website is completely broken in Firefox (14.0.1 w/ No Script and Tree Style Tabs plugins installed - and yes, I am enabling scripting for XDA).
So, I have reverted to the old xda theme until this is fixed.
BUT, does anyone know what is wrong with Chrome?

Yeah I was having this same issue. I am rooted and using the stock browser, same goes for the google search widget. But the answer above solves the problem.
