*** WHAT IT DOES ***
This is a phone espionage suite.
It can be silently installed by just inserting an sd card with the files below on it.
The program does not show up under installed programs or running programs and allows for a useful array or features. Phones running this software can be remotely controled by sms text messages. All commands will be silently received and deleted immediately and results will be issued back to sender.
pre-configured settings can be added to the installer to have your own default password and phone number to receive live updates. By default, this program will silently reinstall itself even after a hard reset, if the memory card with these files is still in the device.
Currently it has the following features:
To receive live updates of SMS and Call activity to your FTP server (setupftp must be set first):
chetstriker ftplive
To add phone number to your ignore log list (it won't create logs of these numbers)
chetstriker addign 8005551212
To remove phone number from your ignore log list (it will log this number again)
chetstriker delign
To receive received call logs, send the following text to phone with this installed on it:
chetstriker getreccalls
To view sent call logs (even deleted):
chetstriker getsentcalls
To view received SMS logs (even deleted):
chetstriker getrecsms
To view sent SMS logs (even deleted):
chetstriker getsentsms
To change log size (for calls and sms, default:10 min:5 max:25)
chetstriker logsize number_between_5_and_25
To test if phone creeper is running (discreetly):
helo
chetstriker turnonringer
To retrieve the external IP Address of your phone, assuming connected:
chetstriker getip
To receive last 10 call logs(even if deleted):
chetstriker getcalllogs
To receive live SMS notifications on SMS and CALL transactions:
chetstriker liveon
To turn off live notifications:
chetstriker liveoff
To lock PDA:
chetstriker lock
To run a program (exec is the program name):
chetstriker run exec
To run a program (exec is the program name, arg is any arguments added):
chetstriker run exec | arg
To setup FTP account to retreive without SMS (make sure you add space | space in between):
chetstriker setupftp url @ user @ pass
To setup FTP account (use this if not using default port 21):
chetstriker setupftp url @ user @ pass @ port
To setup FTP account (use this if ftp not saving to default base path):
chetstriker setupftp url @ user @ pass @ port @ ftp_path
To receive any log by ftp, you can pre-seed any get command with ftp:
example:
chetstriker getcalllogs would become chetstriker ftpgetcalllogs
To add call blocking: (communication either way with specified number will disconnect)
chetstriker addblk 8005551212
To add call redirecting: (if phone dials a specific nuumber it will cancel and dial an alternate number instead)
chetstriker addredir ifthisnumbercalls sendtothisnumber
To remove call blocks:
chetstriker delblks
To remove call redirects:
chetstriker delredir
To get contacts: (from memory)
chetstriker getcontacts
To get appointments:
chetstriker getappts
To get tasks:
chetstriker gettasks
To set emergency SMS number:
chetstriker setemerg 8005551212
To get phone info: (IMEI, username, email, radio version, etc.)
chetstriker getinfo
To get gps location and google maps link:
chetstriker getpos
Deletes Contacts, Appointments, Task:
chetstriker deleteaccts
Displays command list:
chetstriker help
To delete all SMS messages:
chetstriker delallsms
To delete received SMS messages:
chetstriker delrecsms
To delete sent SMS messages:
chetstriker delsentsms
To wipe your storage card:
chetstriker wipeflash
To send a fart:
chetstriker fart
To send a pop-up message:
chetstriker message "insert msg here, without quotes"
To create a silent callback through remote speakerphone:
chetstriker callback
To bounce sms off phone to someone else:
chetstriker bounce sms "phone number to send to" "message to send"
To send your eaves droping call to someone else:
chetstriker bounce call "phone number to send to" "message to send"
To change password:
chetstriker change "newpassword"
(Obviously change "newpassword" to be what ever password you want and don't type the quotes.)
After you have changed your password, make sure you use the new commands accordingly. For example, if I changed the password to yellow and wanted to get call history. I would from now on type:
yellow getcalls
all results will be sent via SMS back without leaving any trace on the phone being controlled.
Any cell phone can be used to initiate the commands and all commands will respond with a success message for acknowledgement.
by default the password is "chetstriker", obviously not including the quotes.
the command structure is (password and then command)
*** HOW TO USE IT ***
-- RemoveCreeper --
if you have ever installed Phone Creeper, run this to make sure all old files are deleted before installing new version. Just unzip, copy .exe file to PDA and run it from PDA. There is no interface or acknowledgement., it takes about 3 seconds to run. Also make sure the 2577 folder is deleted from your memory card (If you used the silent install method) so that it doesn't automatically reinstall after.
-- Regular Install with uninstall option --
Just install .cab on wm5 or higher phone, requires .NET CF 3.5.
MAKE SURE YOU SELECT Device instead of SC card for installation.
-- Silent auto install version (Currently the only method) --
Unzip 2577 folder to root of storage card. After inserting storage card into PDA, it will automaticaly without notice remove old version, install new version and auto start process so reboot is NOT needed. This will also not add entries to startup or remove programs, so the RemoveCreeper file is needed to remove it in the future if you want.
To pre-configure default password, create a file named sysinfo.ini with the password you want in caps and place the file in the 2577 folder before inserting into the device.
To pre-configure enabling the live feature and sending you messages, create a file named live.ini with the phone number you want to receive the live messages (use numbers only) and place the file in the 2577 folder before inserting into the device.
<< Anti-Creeper Project now started as mentioned earlier >>
If you like this program, please feel free to DONATE
>> Changes and ToDo <<
WHEN UPGRADING, YOU SHOULD UNINSTALL IT, RUN REMOVECREEPER, REINSTALL AND REBOOT.
OR ALTERNATIVILY YOU CAN RUN THE SILENTINSTALLER.

## Ethical Statement ##
I feel this program has started to stir up a little controversy and I wanted people to know why i'm creating this.
Sadly enough the main reason i've created this is just because I could and because it seemed challenging and different and fun. I don't actually have anybody to spy on, nor would I want to.
I have this intalled on my own phone only and it can be used for various usefull purposes (more when i'm finished), such as retrieving addresses or phone numbers if I left my phone at home. Wiping sensitive information off if it was ever stolen or retreiving it's gps coordinates if stolen.
And then of course there are the many bad uses.
This is just a tool, it can be used for good or bad depending on the intent of the user. For me this is just an exploration of what can be done.
Although (to my knowledge) a program like this hasn't exist before. If not by me, it would be created by someone else eventually.
Not talking about or hiding and suppressing information about what can be done does not make anyone safer. In fact I believe it to be quite the opposite.
I will do my part after the creation of this program to create another program which can be used to help detect and stop programs such as these.
I will also release the full source code with it, for those who are curious or mistrusting. I am sadden to see in other web sites, that there are folk who are using my program to take a stab at XDA. Saying that the various developers here who are dedicating large amounts of time and energy into creating solutions, fixes and new forms of software (for free even), are without moral regard and nefarious. Also fears that ROMs are now not safe because they may be containing software such as this within it.
I would hate to attributed to giving XDA a bad name, we are dedicated to free software, information and exploration.
As mentioned earlier, I will release a ROM / PDA checking utility with full source code to quell these fears. In fact people will probably be safer than before for actually checking.
I don't condone mal-intented use of my program, as I said before it's because I can and it's fun.

How about calling it The Stalker?
will this work with any phone?
It should work on any WM5 - WM6.5.
I'm not sure if it will work on previous versions.
I'm running this on a WM 6.1 now.
Great .. I love to test it out !!!..
I am running WM 6.5...
will the text show up on their bill?
I don't know, they are receiving the sms message not sending. I guess that would depend on their plan.

Very well could.
Obviously the call will...
will outgoing call appear in call history?
looks very interesting

This is very important! Any answers?
As of right now, yes.
hopefully by this weekend, no
although, in the long run it's on their billing history
By this weekend I also hope to include the features of remote access of voice and sms history checking
and disabling or forwarding selected phone numbers (except 911, that would be a little too creepy)
But yes, this version is primarily beta testing and getting feedback.
It works only when a wm device sends it to a wm device?
I send a sms, wrote chetstrike, but she got the message and nothing happened.
Didn't work for me.

I'm guessing it's just from WM to WM. Btw, he said it was "chetstriker" not "chetstrike".
Interesting idea
This would make one heck of an expensive baby alarm!
By the way, could you make the "chetstriker" keyword user definable? Wouldn't want just anyone being able to remote my phone
I sent from a non wm phone and it works, But it lights up the phone and you here it ring.
I have a htc touch 6900 with 6.1 rom (CDMA)
Thanks for your hard work T M Z
Hello
i have tested it, too.
I use the Miri Rom V18 --> WM6.5 T3FD active.
It works.
It doesn't lights up, but the speaker is not turned off and when you turn the display on, you see there is an outgoing call.
I'm looking forward for the next version.
well, im thinking, every phone can be flashed, after flashed/hardreset, all of the app likeyours will be disabled.
im just thinking, you can add a function like this. when you flash/hardreset, the device will popup a screen says, please enter password then flash/hardreset. well, that's absolutely a great way to prevent unauthorized hardreset/flash.

Hi guys, I am looking for some way (software ?), that enables the XDA/Qtek to send and receive SMS picture messages (EMS) -not MMS- using only the GSM network and not the internet, and that is, of course, a stand alone function, I mean by this without having to use a Nokia GSM phone or any other GSM phone.
Thanks for your help
All you really need is an app that associates a particular SMS string with a particular picture. You'd then install this app to both devices - sender and reciever.
You'd open you app, pick a picture and hit send. The app would then send an SMS string, say, 'picture1' via SMS to the receiving xda. That unit would have the app running that would pick up the SMS 'picture1' and, having associated that string with the picture you want (presumably picture #1, for the sake of argument) will display that picture.
That's effectively all EMS does on other handsets (not quite, but effectively) - that's why you can't usually see EMS sent between different devices. Different devices from different manufacturers set up the (proprietary) EMS in different ways.
Try the Philips C12 to the Nokia 7650, for example, then you'll see what I mean.
Tekflow - I think you're talking about EMS - ie the SMS extension 2bit picture format made popular by Nokia phones. I quite miss this, as most of my friends have Nokias, and I often used to send EMSs to them with my 9210.
I've looked into this myself a bit for PPC/PE - the situation's not too good:
Sending is relatively easy, just build the SMS in the correct format and send it out, however receiving it is a nightmare.
Unfortunately, Microsoft have made a complete mess of SMS receiving functionality on the PPC/PE OS, only one single application can ever have the SMS handle open for receive at any one time for a given message protocol (and these are not very fine grained basically Text, Notification, WDP, WCMP, Status and Raw).
This application by default is the SMS handling application of the PocketPC/PE. So basically, you can't use it otherwise you loose the default handling.
On Symbian, it's sooo much easier. There's a 'chain' of receivers, so you just register for a particular message, scan it, and if you don't want to process it, you just pass it on to the next application in the handler chain.
It might be possible to completely rebuild the SMS handling application from scratch, get rid of the default handler, and replace it with your own, however there's quite a lot going on under the surface with SMS handling, so this would be extremely difficult.
One thing you could try is getting the messages after they have been received and placed in the inbox using MAPI. I'm not sure if this would work, as IMHO MAPI is a hopeless API too, and propably would bletch at a SMS type that wasn't plain text. It's worth investigating though.
There are two EMS softs for Pocket PC but not for the "Phone Edition".
These softs used AT commands instead of RIL API.
But as with last ROM it is possible to have access to internal modem with AT commands, these softs should work now.
eMood Messenger for Pocket PC :
http://www.emoodsoft.com/doc/emm for ppc.htm
Pocket Presence SMS Manager :
http://www.pocketpresence.com/smsman.asp
But EzOS (developer of EzWAP 2.5 MMS) proposes MobyKit, a library to develop SMS/EMS/MMS :
http://www.mobykit.com/tech_messaging.php
Anyone knows if there is a possibility to send and receive picture messages (EMS, not MMS) using XDA II ? All the available software I found are not compatible with Pocket PC Phone Edition.
I'm looking for the same as well.
Worse still, the PPC or WM2003 default SMS software does not even NOTIFY or do anything when it received an EMS message. In fact, it did nothing .. I suspect it ignored anything apart from SMS, it didn't even store ANYTHING from an EMS. Some normal phones at least receive the EMS but display garbage on SMS, on Xda II -- zilch !!! NOTHING. Try it.
Smart GSM
Guys, I think Smart GSM is the solution. Try it and let me know the results.

do this program work for pocket pc phone edition like qtek 1010 (xda)?
did anyone send or receive a EMS successfully ?
What It Does
Mobile Receptionist automatically handles calls, SMS, and other events, with user-configurable criteria and actions.
How It Works
You configure the Mobile Receptionist via Profiles. Profiles handle incoming events and phone status changes.
Multiple profiles can be enabled simultaneously. For example, you could have one profile automatically forward all incoming SMS messages to an email address for archiving, and another one that responds to all SMS messages and incoming calls while you're at work.
The Full Profile has Rules. Each Rule contains Criteria and Actions. If all the Critiera are met, then all the Actions are executed. There are also Criteria for the Profile, which apply globally to all Rules in the Profile.
The Full Profile has complete functionality and flexibility of Rules, Criteria, and Actions - but there are also specialized Profile types that are streamlined and easier to configure:
A Sms Responder Profile only handles incoming calls/sms and responds to the original caller.
A Event Monitor Profile only monitors events and sends notifications to a set address.
A Blacklist Profile only ignores or hangs up on certain numbers or contacts.
A Remote Control Profile allows remote control of the phone. Send SMS, get GPS coordinates, disable/enable profiles, look up contact information, etc.
Use cases
Watching a movie: set up rules to respond to missed calls and text messages with an SMS saying you're unavailable and will get back to them later.
Archiving: set up rules to forward all text messages to your email account.
Multiple phones: if you have a work phone and a personal phone, after working hours you could set up rules on your work phone to send SMS to your personal phone if the call/message is urgent.
Remote notification: If you're entering a secure building where you can't bring your phone, but have internet access, set up rules to send you an email every time you missed a call, got a text message, have an upcoming appointment.

I'll drop a new version tomorrow - everything's starting to come together nicely.
I've just posted what will likely be the final beta release. There may be minor bugfix releases but in terms of functionality this app is almost complete.
New in 0.94, i've added the Remote Control profile, which lets you remotely send text messages, look up contact or appointment info, get the phone's current GPS coordinates, enable/disable other profiles. I've also added the ability to automatically answer calls, as well as extend the SMS responder profile with the full range of filters.
I have discovered that I am being charged...
for all SMS received while I am abroad...
Will this software have the ability to set my phone
so as to allow any incoming or outgoing calls
while rejecting ALL INCOMING SMS ?

unfortunately this app won't affect your phone from receiving sms, it only acts after the fact.

A good recepcionist should know when not to answer !
In so doing there would be no cause for a lie !
Jajaja....
May I invite you to consider that SMS blocking, please ?
Thank you very much.

no app can block an sms from being received - that's up to the carrier
Therefore it should be illegal...

..to charge for any received messages on the basics that
the user receiving an unrequested message is being actually
charged for it...without having no way to avoid it !
If I go abroad and anyone sends 10.000 SMS I will simply start
looking for a bridge to live under.
Police, police, police !
you can use my app to automatically respond to all incoming sms with the message "please stop texting me!"
I am not making myself understood....

I travel very often.
When I step off the plane in Rome, a SMS is received as soon as
I turn on my phone wellcoming in Italy.
A charge of 0,60 euro is made.
I then go to London. Same charge.
I go to Paris. The same.
Three times a day...1,80 euro.
Twenty days a month...36 euro for havung my phone on !
And I am not considering other messages of unwanted advertisement !
SMS should be received only when desired, exactly the same as incoming calls...
Can you imagine your phone answering all calls without you deciding to do so ?

Ok.....
Thanks anyway. ...
out of beta
now that the beta is closed, when will I be able to buy this?
believe me i want to get this app to market as soon as possible. I have some polish and cleanup to do and my day job to deal with to. let's hope I can get the final version done by july.
in the meantime, enjoy the app and let me know how out works for you.
Found a way to stop/resume SMS reception...
STOP SMS reception: Call *35*0000*16#
RESUME SMS reception: Call #35*0000*16#
In each case a "successful" report will be received after dialing.
I think perhaps you would like to include a switch to automatically
stop/resume SMS on that basis...

I might be able to figure out a way to integrate this nicely, i'll look into it.
This code seems to work only on GSM phones, does anybody know the CDMA equivalent?
Registration
Is there a way to register the beta version so that the restrictions are removed?

I don't have my registration website set up yet, but if you really want to pay for beta software then I'll handle it manually

Hi,
Just wanted to know if there is any android App which can send pre configured SMS when i manually reject any call.
Regards
Anon67
Try Tasker
Thanks! . this looks to be something definitely worth exploring.
Try "QSMS To Buddy:FullFeatured" free app from android market
Use "QSMS to buddy" App from android market.
- This app allows you to send sms to missed/rejected calls.
- It also allows you to send a 'default' sms after user specified time period. e.g. you can specify to send a msg after 10 secs
- *** You send sms during "Outgoing" call reject as well
- *** You have ability to messages while sending the reject sms depending on the context. e.g. "I will call back in 10 mins" instead of "I will call back later"
There are other interesting features as well in this app. Watch demo at youtube with key word "QSMS : Quick SMS To Buddy Android App by Onion Systems"
AppUsabilityExpert
Root Call Blocker also includes a feature similar to what you're looking for
Why would you want to do th at? I just don't get it.
Some countries ban usage of mobile phones while driving, so instead of pissing about with your phone while driving, you can block the call and tell them why without having to touch the phone. Could be used in meetings, school/college too. there are so many uses
Thanks for all the replies. Another classic example is you are in a middle of a meeting/conference and u get an important call (from ur better half ;-) ? ) . You may not be in a position to take the call - easier if u get an option to send predefined sms - when u reject the call - with the flexibility of not having SMS being sent out whenever u reject a call.
Reject++
If you are looking for an app to let you reject incoming calls with predefined or custom SMS and setup a reminder to return a call as well..
so check Reject++
You can:
- Reject a call with SMS, Reminder, Or Both.
- Convenient Slider on top of incoming call screen, slider it up and go with Reject++
- Smart SMS Templates with "Tags"
- Smart Reminders Scheduling Engine.
- Works with mobile screen locked or OFF
- Notifications works no matter if the app is active or not.
Check much more Features & Screenshots for Reject++
As explained elsewhere, sometimes it's not possible for the receiving Android handset to recombine a text message longer than 160 characters (which was split by the originating carrier).
A very simple but useful app would let the user select two or more SMSes and merge them.
1. After selecting the messages (via a list of checkboxes attached to the SMS inbox, like in Handcent's batch mode), a new dialog would ask the user to reorder the messages.
2. When tapping "Done", the contents of the oldest SMS would be overwritten with the concatenated contents of the selected messages, and the other selected messages would be deleted.
I've spent quite a bit of time searching for such an app, and there isn't any. This should be pretty to code for an experienced developer, and I'd be willing to PayPal $5 for it, and I'm sure others would too. Why? Because the StackOverflow question I've linked to in this paragraph has received so many views it was marked notable.

Any solution you got?
Hi guys! I am a noob with android development (but I'm trying to learn :fingers-crossed
So I want to build an SMS application, I have read articles/tutorials but I'm afraid that most of them have become outdated/deprecated.
I am not trying to build a commercial application, just a personal project I'd like to try out.
Here's my concept, I want to be able to let the phone send SMS without user interaction, the catch is that it would only do so if the phone receives an SMS from a certain number. I am trying to do this on a 5.0+ device.
Example Scenario:
1. Phone receives SMS Trigger from NumberA. Message: "IT3 No Class Today"
2. Phone sends SMS to NumberX, NumberY and NumberZ. Message:"No Class Today"
(Number list is from "IT3" code from step 1)
3. Rinse and repeat.
I have read all about setting it as default SMS application and the permissions and have most of the fundamentals working. However I can't figure out a way to intercept the Incoming SMS, read its contents, parse it and compose a new message, send to numbers based on code -- all from the background automatically. Is this doable or not?
That may not be doable due to security protocols. Once you swap over as the default app that will take care of intercepting the SMS. The rest would be a huge security issue if it could be done.
