Hello,
I'm using an old XDA from O2 (I think its a Hurricane as from the picture is to be seen) and found a very interesting Soft for navigation: MN7. I installed it and it is running fine under WM5 !! Now one problem occured: the soft is normally under touch flo control (like my other HTC touch handy ) And you can type in names via touch screen.
In the XDA most of the control is reachable via the joystick, but: not all of them. Also you only can input numbers instead of names.
Is there a prog or registry setting where I can "bend" the buttons ??

For all of those who are now running SE thanks to dcs and others. Just download this little app, unzip it, run setup when connected via activesync and then add it to your start menu. Works like a charm and saves having to hard map a button to rotate your screen we are already limited to buttons as it is. I just put it at the top of my start menu and can use from any application of course. Thank you guys for all of your hard work.
not bad at all. but what i did was use phm plus; it gives you the short cut icons to the items in the settings folder (like bt, clock, input, etc). in this case i copied the "screen" shortcut and had it appear in the today screen using tdlaunch. just click on the icon and the option for landscape or portrait comes up.
cheers
thanks .. that was a very nice utility ..
Cool, another way is to assign it a hardware button, very easy t flip on the fly.

Hi ZeroXtreme!
If you'll to assign the RotateSE to a hardware button its slower than the default Rotate Screen because of the rotating circle.
I think creating a shotcut on the Today screen launcher program is still a better choice and it can also relieves one of the hardware buttons for other use.
Thnx
Works as intended...
thats weird :? ...
does'nt WM2003SE has a <Rotate Screen> at "Assign a program:" list in Buttons section ?! :?:
in my i-mate JAM i can rotate the screen between 'Portrait' and 'Landscape(right-handed)' by pressing "Record" button
i wonder if xda2 wm2003se has it or not, coz mine gone junk while i'm upgrading to chines rom SE

@NightmarE
Yes, it does have the hardware button assignment, the problem is that most of us have already used all the hardware buttons for other tasks, so a Start menu option is a nice solution...
I agree I have upgraded to the blue angel but having it in the start menu is much better than hardmapping it to a button, I posted the app for those who want a different option, if you want to waste a button on just rotation then be my guest but some of like myself don't use screen rotation that often then it is better in the start menu and not on a button that I need, considering I use alot of apps like Microsoft Voice Command.
It os better to have it in the Start Menu than in a Today Screen, if you are in the middle of a app it is easier to just open the Start Menu and rotate than go through settings->screen or close then today then back to the app...
I'm using SPB Pocket Plus and add "rotate screen to the right" to close/minimize dialog ... That's just how I do it. Free Up start menu slot for my other frequently used apps.
Right now I'm quite a happy XDA2 user
use PHM utility to add a shortcut of RotatSE in Task bar near by bluetooth icon it will be like i-mate Jam icon 8) ...
laters
I assinged one hardware button to flip the screenand made the flipting system easily and fast...
Works great on the Treo 700wx. Thanks!
Hi, is ROM version 1.66.00WWE a wm2003SE?
Just tried the software a while ago but it didn't work.
Is there a version of this working on wm2003? just found out that my phone is not wm2003SE version but a wm2003, software not compatible with wm2003. :c
Works ok, but...
Hi.
It works fine, but how I configure it to rotate to the other side (clockwise) ??
Thanks in advance,
Joe
So far I've disabled the today plugin and set the touchflo
scrolling registry key to 0. I've gotten back most of the
functionality of the SPB utilities. I still seem to have the
TF3D dialer and I'm sure there are other bits.
Is there a FAQ or How-To for removing the TouchFlo3D
interface and restoring the regular Wm 6.1 / HTC interface?
I saw Handango says that AEButtonPlus doesn't work
with the Touch Pro, but it seems to work fine for me?
Is there somewhere else to buy a license key?
I'm using FTouchSL for scrolling. it seems to be doing
its job. I'm a little confused how it determines if I mean
an active corner or the start menu / x / left softkey /
right softkey though?
Thanks
I would like to use a fakecursor/sphelper on my S740.
FakeCursor doesn't work (It seems like the window is too large for the screen and therefore I can't configure it).
SPHelper does work, but when it's hidden, and I'm on my home screen my 0 and 8 key's don't work (The dialer shows up when I press them, but the digits won't get appended to the phone number).
Any suggestions?
Nobody got SPHelper, FakeCursor or a similar application running on the HTC S740?
I use FakeCursor well
but standard WM SmartPhone interface doesn't support touches so I have some troubles with window select and other

Thx.
I got things working the way I wanted, without cursor emulation. The things I wanted to use it for were Opera and Qmail.
For Qmail I found this solution: http://frank.hommers.nl/2009/02/13/nieuwe-keymapping-voor-qmail3/
For Opera I found an alternative which has mouse emulation built in: Torch Mobile Iris browser: http://www.torchmobile.com/products/iris.html

Ever tried skyfire? http://www.skyfire.com/
It could be me doing something wrong, but I'm confused right now...
I had a S730 with fakecursor working... I activated and deactivated the fakecursor application by pressing the home button for a while. For this to work I had to make a shortcut in the \windows directory named Long_home.lnk pointing to the Fakecursor.exe
On the S740 I tried the same, but the phone doesn't do anything when I copied the Long_home.lnk file into the \windows folder and hold the Home button for a while
Does anyone know if I have to rename the shortcut on the S740 phone, or am I doing something wrong?

There is solution for problem with configuration of the fakecursor. Press once the fakecursor.exe, it asks you to install and then setting window appears. Than use any task manager and close fakecursor task. Run again the fakecursor.exe... voala...working. Do not forget to assign fakecursor to some button so you may also close it (with enabled fakecursor common keys do not work)
Hi

On S740 there are no use for Long_home.lnk because it does not exist on ROM, but you can make the trick by remapping file Short_Camera.lnk in Windows folder to open FakeCursor.exe by specifying where it's placed on your device... Once it is done you have to do a soft reset to make the shortcut available by pressing the camera button. The only problem is once changed, camera button will work only for FakeCursor, unless you remap Short_Camera.lnk again to work with the camera application.
SOLVED: After I did a bit of searching I found that THIS PROGRAM works fine on the Touch2.
Rather than assigning physical buttons to map the controls you can assign them by hex definitions.
While this is alright for emulators the default hex's left the buttons assigned to letters, which when pressed ended up typing "xxxzyvc" popping up.
I almost starting writing out a whole list of Hex values, but the big MS has a table listed anyway
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb431750.aspx
Now I have ABCD, L+R and Start mapped from the unused 90-97 hexes (the D-pad mapped to the up down left right values)
Hope this helps to any Touch2 Gamers out there?
Original Post:
Does anyone have any info on how to set this up for the Touch2?
FpseCE runs decently but using the touch screen for controls sucks (as you know for the lack of usable hardware buttons)
The included cd drivers just want me to map hardware buttons, and ive tried BlackPanther's drivers but it just crashed and wont open again :S
FpseCE claims to support the gamepad... but what it really means is "if you can map it to a control, it'll work" so this "support" isn't really built in.
Any Ideas?

I have installed MemoryMap for PDa version 5.1.3.
It has opreviously worked well - but not this time.
The Menu bar onlyu shows 50% of the keys. The all importnat GPS Lock button is missing. It appears the Menu Bar is just too big to fit on the screen and the right most 3 buttons slip of the side!
A posisble solution is to allocate the GPS Lock to a button using MemoryMap options. However I cannot find out which button is which.
My prefernce is to see the whole menu bar - any ideas?
Thanks in anticiaption

Stand to be corrected but I don't think it is possible to have all buttons on view in portrait mode, I have set application to auto rotate in BsB thus all buttons show in landscape mode and lock button can be operated.
I also can't assign hardware buttons to custom commands, once again i don't think this is possible in version 5.13.

Thanks for the reply.
I am sure that, using some version of WM5.?, I did have the buttons on view in portrait. However, as you say, using WM6.5.X the device needs to be in landscape to see all the buttons.
Elsewhere on this site the HyperRom Ultra v15 is recommended for MemoryMap - sorry cannot find the link at the moment.
I intend to install HyperRom and see what that is like.

I have MM 5.1.3 build 716 and all the buttons are visible along the bottom in portrait mode - including GPS lock, info toggle half of the 'i' icon.
I'm also on stock 3.14 ROM.
It sounds like you managed to install the QVGA version instead of VGA version - how I have no idea unless you have used a .cab ?
Mine was installed from the MM desktop version - send to PDA option.
It's the HD2 that prevents hardware keys being used in MM, not MM itself - 5.1.3 hardware keys used to work fine on my old Dell Axim.
