As some of you probably have read that Malata Zpad ships with an official (perfect fit) leather stand/case, i just wanna share that i have purchased it via the chinese ebay here: http: / /item. taobao. com /item. htm? id= 9003689863
Its 50 RMB so in USD its like 7 bucks. But because i don't have a chinese bank account (and many of you probably don't either) i have to go through a 3rd party (known as a taobao agent - google how to buy from taobao) to get this. It significantly jacks up the prices to about 20 USD. But its still cheaper than the ones unofficial leather cases you see on dhgate and alibaba.
My apologies if this has been posted before (though there are no similar posts showing up).

What I don't like is that it doesn't look like it has a hole for the dock, and you can't get to SD and Full USB without taking off the whole cover.
Anyone have this? Can you confirm?

also it is can not standing well,like the pics i listed
but if there are guys like it,you can give a PM to it2steve. we can put a group buy.
I think my Zpad is already coming with one of these and the dock.
Might cut a hole in the bottom and get my wife to sew it neatly so that I can use it with the dock.

Did the seller tell you there will come with 1 DOCK and 1 case?
If they tell you, will be come with all of them.
because now the standard Zpad not includ one DOCK.

Even if it had an opening for the dock, I seriously doubt it could be docked while in the case. The case would simply make it too thick to allow it to dock.
As for the USB and SDcard access... I don't think it that big of a deal for day to day use. You could always cut the case on that side to allow access if you REALLY REALLY wanted it that bad.

I've seen other covers for it with holes for the docking port. So maybe it will work with the cover on, will have to try it out and see.
It is a nice looking case -- but I've already ordered a Kindle DX case based on other recommendations...
If it doesn't fit properly though, I'll definitely consider this one...

Well thats what I just did and there isn't any to be found, and I can confirm that non ever existed (on ebay or amazon) beside pyro's (which I have linked).
For some strange reason these clip cases is still off ebay the only way to get one is to just order it from Steve or get it from source (Aliexpress / DHgate) when he is OOS.

well i meant look for deals later because most likely they will restock and be online but its not imediate
I find the smart cover case of my iPad 2 is ideal for typing in "landscape keyboard" mode. I haven't found any cases on eBay etc that do this except some really bulky/fugly ones. Has anyone found anything elegant/thin along the lines of the iPad 2 smart cover yet? I realize the GT7.7 doesn't have the logic to turn off when the cover is closed, I can live without that!
The original Samsung OEM case/cover looks very nice but doesn't seem to stand on its own in landscape keyboard mode

As long as the surface is not overly smooth, the Samsung Original Book Cover case does stand in landscape (thanks to rubber strips that adds friction). See pics. May not *look* especially stable, but it does seem to hold out nicely.
Ironically, I would like to see a case that allows my tab to stand in portrait mode, since I'm more likely to read that way. Never seen one before.
I have a case similar to the official iPad1 case. Very slim and snug fit. Doesn't add much to the size of the device, keeping the original slimness. Its faux leather on the outside and suede cloth inside. It has the same standing mechanism as the iPad1 case too. Comes in a few colours, I got the brown one.
I've been looking for exactly this type of case and was amazed they are made. I believe I can post images now and so I'll put some up later.

Thats the one. I personally prefer cases that give all round protection and this case does that. I find cases that only grip the corners can come loose over time, and badly made ones have terrible tolerances and may not even adequetly hold the device.

I also think that a case like the smart cover for the ipad2 is ideal for the tab 7.7. I have seen those for the 10.1 and 8.9 on ebay, and I am pretty sure they will pop up for the 7.7 soon.

Very pleased with it! I've tried the official case but this is much better. It even has magnets on the flap to stop it flapping open when carrying.

That's basically exactly the same as the one I posted above except my link is cheaper and located in the UK (minus the screen protector but they are pence anyway)
The one I ordered also has better protection at the bottom

I snagged this one as it closely resembles the one I really like for my GTab 7+. Will post up pictures when I get it.

Thanks for the link, I ordered the black one.
I don't think this has NFC or Qi and is not a replacement for the battery cover. It goes over the battery cover. Everything I've seen listed as "slim hard case" is what you really want. Not "premium hard case." Especially given the price. I am patiently waiting for the real slim hard case with Qi charging.
But I could be wrong.

Does any one have one of these? I have bought one that is a copy, I just wondered if a genuine one did anything with the screen?
The genuine one is five times the price, is it worth the extra money?
It offers good side protection, you could take pictures without opening the flip, answer the phone,change music tracks etc. It's useful
I'm not fond of flip case but the S view seems good.
I had the occasion to try the S5 version and it was great. But you loose the look of the Alpha like other flip cover or case.
I saw a lot of copy 3 times cheaper than the original and they seem good.
Maybe someone has one, it can be great to have some feedback.

Got a black version from Ebay yesterday and I LOVE IT. ..........100% genuine
