Loose 3G connection after Rilphone setup - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

Hi Everybody, after install the rilphone cab in my Fuze I saw that ther is no more 3G or H connection, only G and E works. I try to put the sim in another Fuze and found the same problem.
Can anybody help me please?

This may be a dumb answer, but did you try turning 3g off and on again in the ComManager?

Not sure which rilphone cab you are referring to. Are you sure the rilphone.dll is for a raphael/fuze? Is the radio from a raphael/fuze? Are you security unlocked, if you are using non-raphael radios?

Yes, I´m trying everything and nothing works.

I´m using the 1.14.25.35 radio that was working on my phone before I put the same 1.14.25.35 rilphone.
My phone only works in G and E bands but not in 3G or H Band.
Maybe somewhat is changed in the SIM card?

GSM no signal

Hi all,
Refs:
ROM: 3.17.03
ROM date: 05/15/03
Radio: 3.23.01
Protocol: 32S54
Only using GSM with it and I noticed the following since the beggining:
If you go to a no GSM reception area (PC room, for instance), when you step back in a full reception area, the XDA still tells you that there's no signal. Only solution to receive/make calls is to turn the phone off and on again. Apparently, the machine doesn't scan automatically for the GSM signal. I and one of my coworkers have the same problem and updating to the latest radio (3.23.01) didn't solve the problem.
Anyone has a clue or in the same situation? Don't tell me that there're only GPRS users out there !!! :?
Rgds
PS Great site
Anyone encountered the problem described above? Don't tell me that there're only GPRS users out there !!!

Thanks for the reply. One thing: do u have to upgrade to PPC2003 to have the 4.21 radio version?

Urgent: from iMate 1.52 to TMobile 1.60

No problem, the XDA II is a tri-band phone and all ROM versions work on all bands. If the 1.60 will not install for you, you need to change the upgrade image to match the country-code of your device. We're working on a tool to do this, much like the adaptROM tool for the original XDA.
Yes, but what I have to change in t-mobile image?
Better:
I've a qtek branded XDAII. I've simply to install: RUU16006WWE_T-mobile_NL.exe and everything will works ok OR do I need to do some changes to T-Mobile files before upgrading???

Telstra AU - UTMS - Radio Version

Hey All,
First of all this is a great site. Just got my Jas Jas a week ago and im in love with this place.
Any way enuf ego inflating.
--------
I thought that i would upgrade the radio version because there were reports that this would improve my UMTS / HSDPA reception.
It didn't here are my results.
1.34.00.10 Download (1st try)
Tried this one first as i thought the latest might have been buggy. Flashed nicly but the reception defaulted to GSM. Only worked on UMTS when i changed the band to 2100 rather than 850. And then the reception was 2 bars compared to the 100% i usually get.
1.27.00.00 Download (2nd try)
Tried this one next as its the reccomneded "stable" version.
Still go the same results.
1.20.31.10 (Orignal Shipped rom)'
Ended up returning to this rom to get functionality and worked no issues.
Was just wondering if any other AU ppl had these issues ?
And what is the chosen ROM of choice in AU.
I am still plucking up the courage to flash to XDA-Live but if i do my radio should not change because the install does not include a radio, correct.
And one last ? if i o upload to XDA-L does the extrom stay the same and will my unit grab all the op settings that are in the EXT Rom or do i have to load then with a cab that i can grab out of the ship rom?
Hope the post wasn't to long,
Thanks
Hi Shaun,
I suggest you have a read through the threads and the Wiki, you'll find most of your answers are in there. XDA Live does not contain a Radio ROM so will not affect that side of things. Personally I recommend putting in your provider settings manually, as that way you know nothing will stuff up due to any funny files in the CAB!
I suggest you try the new radio ROMs again when you're running WM6, perhaps you've got issues with the icons displaying incorrectly depending on your radio version. Personally I'm using 1.35 without issue, and its been better than anything else, but then again I'm not with a provider who prides itself on making its own stupid frequency decisions just to be awkward
Cheers
Kevin

im using the trinity radio 1.35.00.11 with NextG and also Vodafone and the HSDPA reception is awesome...
what ROM version are you using now??
xda-live does not flash the extended ROM... so you can use HTweakC to unlock it and use the cabs.....
I use Blackberry so my device is connected via UMTS on Telstra all the time. I had upgraded to 1.35 radio because of the reports of it's increased reception.
Well the battery drained in about 5 hours so I am reverting back to the original rom which gave me 24-36 hours battery life with UMTS active.

Thanks for the response guys. Ive read the wiki and have taken it in, just wanted to check.
I have now reverted back to the orignal radio rom that was shipped with the unit which is 1.20.31.10. Its a pain i am with telstra but there is nothing you can do when the company has 30od services with them.
Was going to load the trinity mod but does this mean that i need to super CID the device. As i got a country ID. This means i will void the warrenty. Is there a way that i can do it without the super CID.
Err... the Trinity radio version in the Wiki (which I hope you're getting from the Hermes Radio Rom wiki page and not the Trinity page!) is bundled with SSPL which means you don't have to worry about CID.

yes you need to run SSPL on your device before you run the update....
edit... and no you dont need SuperCID to flash this radio...

.. but because the 1.35.00.11 radio only package from the Wiki is already bundled with the modified RUU updater which pushes SSPL to the device automatically, he'll only need to run the ROMUpgradeUt.exe
Edit: Actually with the 1.35.00.11 package, you don't even need to do that - just run the .exe you download from the Wiki and follow the prompts! What could be easier!

Ah, makes sense then .
Shaun, you can either download the modified RUU Updater, or just download the 1.35.00.11 Radio ROM with RUU/SSPL updater integrated.
Thanks guys i thought that that rom was not the trinity one. Then one that i got was from the ftp .
Now i got that one which does have the RUU/SSPL updater integrated.
Thanks guys.
Just flasshed with the 1.35 Rom and it seams that its got Less reception than before. Onlyt by a bar and this in my current location. I have set the abnd to auto and will see how it goes will update ina day or 2.

Calls Recieving pb after upgrade to WM6 !

Greetings,
Yesterday i upgraded my Hermes to WM6 from HTC website, everything went fine, but since i cannot recieve any calls but can call and everything else is fine, i'm new in this but here are more details:
Rom version : 3.54.256.2
Rom date : 07/06/07
Radio version : 1.47.00.10
Protocole version : 32.80.7020.20H
Ext. rom version : 3.54.256.103
I live in France and using Bouygues Telecom, i read on a french forum that the problem might be this radio version with Bouygues Telecom.
Are there any from France that have resolved this problem? is it easy to change the rom? and is there any guide on this great forum to learn how to do that?
thank you for your help!
Curious Jack
You can change just the Radio ROM part. What was your old radio version?
Here is the Radio Upgrade Only Wiki:
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Hermes_ExtractedRadioRoms
Unfortunally i did not check it out before upgrading to WM6, and i just installed version 1.50.00.00 and nothing has changed, i can call but when i'm called or it rings busy or its straight to answering box.
thanks!
Curios Jack
Hi,
if like me you are in France with Bouygues Telecom, here are the original versions (as I was looking for switching to WM6 and now I'm asking myself some questions...)
ROM : 1.18.256.2
Radio : 1.03.03.10
Protocol : 32.34.7010.01H
I hope it will help you get back to a working phone...
Regards
Try installing radio version 1.40.30.00.
I have a similar problem on the network I am currently on with radio 1.41.00.10 and any version higher so far.
I can summarize the problem I faced as follows - if there is a data connection active, then the phone will not be able to receive an incoming voice call, unless the caller keeps trying maybe like 5 to 10 times.
The network I am on now is DTAC in Thailand, using EDGE for data.
Once I downgraded to 1.40.30.00, even with an active data connection, the incoming voice call still came through.

I had a same problem after uprgaded my Vario II to WM06 HTC ROM. I could send/receive msg and call out, but not received any call
I tried these combination:
- Upgraded to WM06 HTC ROM and keep the original radio version (1.48): wouldn't work
- Upgraded radio version to 1.50: wouldn't work
Solution:
- Downgraded radio version to 1.41. My device fine now
My network:
- Vodafone New Zealand
Hope it help
Thanks for sharing ...
I solved my problem by downgrading one by one the first one that worked is the 1.41.00.10 so i will try it and see ...
What a relief ....
thanks again
CJ
thanks xupcua and glad to read that it works for you Curious Jack.
I think I'll wait this weekend before upgrading, I need my phone for work
Thanks to all for their help. Great job !
update done and all working good (at least for now...)
I've tried all radio versions from 1.51. The only one which works is 1.41. With others, no incoming calls.
Well, it definitely seems to be a Bouygues issue, as I am in the same situation.
Back with 1.41, I can call and receive calls, but no internet access ! Are you in the same case ?
Olpetit
Internet access through GPRS is working good.
Can't try Wifi as my Linksys wifi router just died 2 weeks ago and I'm back with a wired only Netgear router.
I will go and get a new Wifi router on saturday. I'll post my results then.

Hi guys,
I have installed radio rom 1.40 : the gsm works fine, Edge gprs too, but now i have wifi connection problem, its impossible to get connected ... i discovered that if i put the gsm off the wifi is connecting, but not with the gsm on
I dont know if its a radio rom problem or something else ...
CJ
hum if that's true I think I'll go back to radio 1.03 which was the radio I had when I bought my TyTn... and with which Wifi was working pretty good
Edit : I succeeded in connecting me to a neighbor wifi router (with his agreement). I was able to download GoogleMaps for mobile, load a few bitmaps, check my mail. All this with GSM on.
It may not be a radio relative problem. It needs more testing but my neighbor's wife said it was too late to continue

why always ROM cooked not support GPRS?

all the rom that has been posted after the GULLUM post always have problem in GPRS connection, and we all know that the GPRS is the only one connection that can be used in PROPHET / DOPOD 818PRO.
i really miss the Gullum ROM, but i didn't fast enough.
can all the ROM cooker make it possible?
coz the Varanusvincent ROM usually can connect the GPRS and sometimes CAN NOT.
the WapVirus barely can connect to GPRS.
the Cloudyfa barely too can connect to GPRS.
sorry for the interruption and the lack of english course of mine
Never had any probs with Gullum ROM's. I'd wager that it's down to your crappy provider and a simple user error or something.

Strange. Did you set the network wizard correctly?
I have had a few problems with different counties not being supported by network wizard you must set your gprs manually this is not my fault but Microsoft and please we have all worked hard to try to bring you these ROM's so please check your own hardware before knocking our work
sorry again...
sorry for master Dioxda coz forget to put u in my list u make some wonderfull ROM in the middle of Gullum Mastery ROM.
sorry again for all the master ROM cooker not to blame all ur flawless work for Prophet ROM, maybe it's just my crappy provider...
and btw is the some version of Radio ROM really make different in other country to work perfectly? maybe just like Varanusvincent use his recommended Radio 2.19 and Marek 2.02
btw again, i already use the setting in Network Wizard just like the setting of my Country which is Indonesia and the provider Telkomsel, usually after it reboot again it could work, but later if my Dopod turn off (go blank) and turn on again, the G symbol usually dissapeared, then u all know why i said that the GPRS don't work.
later if i turn off the phone (go to flight mode) and then turn on again (to phone mode) to make the G cameback, usually it works, the G symbol cameback but still the GPRS not working.
in my case, maybe the Radio ROM did make difference in other Country. can anyone tell me where can i get the Radio ROM?
hmmm i never recommended a RADIO ROM to anyone but... what i know about radio ROMs is that they are related to how your device gets its signal from your provider thus having to get signal more often from your device leads more usage on your battery thus again leads to battery drain...
for list of RAdio Roms here is the link...
