Need help installing "Official Rom" from HTC - Touch Pro, Fuze ROM Development

before anyone gives me crap about startiing an new thread, i tried finding answers but got nothing.
i tried installing the new rom from htc (using the install instructions on their site) and it stopped at 78% it had me go thru the recovery process and then tried again and it stopped at 78% like before. i'v recovered and retried atleast 7 times now and it always stops at 78% and now my phone is screwed.
btw i was updating a completely stock htc fuze
can anyone help me?
Fixed it by using a different computer

Are you running into this issue when trying to apply the latest 5.11.502.2 AT&T stock ROM? If so, I would contact AT&T as I suspect you may have a faulty device.
If you are trying to apply the HTC 5.05.405.1 stock ROM to your AT&T device, you'll likely need to ensure that your device is HardSPL'ed before you can flash it to your device as it is not a "stock" AT&T ROM.

Tried upgrading radio and now won't boot

So I did the HardSPL when I redid the phone a couple of months ago and lately it hasn't been getting service and just stopped altogether. So I looked to see what radio version I had and it said none.
So I proceeded to update the radio but I did not do the HARDSPL again as I already did it before. Well as I went through the whole process it said there was an error and told me to remove the batter. I did all this and now it won't boot up its just at the ROM screen or whatever with the three different colors.
How do I get it to boot up so I can get it to activesync and reimage it? I'm stuck and it just won't boot so I don't know what to do. Thanks
Oh and I've tried all the steps in getting by the bootloader by disabling usb and all that and it still doesn't work
I had the exact same problem yesterday ... connect it to your USB cable, and flash it with a STANDARD ROM, ie one downloaded from your phone's provider's site.
ie. We get our TyTNs through a local HTC distributor called Leaf Wireless. I downloaded the AKU3 rom from their site, and ran it. Reflashed my TyTN to their original AKU3 ROM, and after that I could reflash with whatever I wanted to
How do I reflash if I can't get it to activsync with mycomputer or don't you need to with a standard rom flash?
So I tried to do it with an original ROM and it gets to 12% done and fails everytime. How do I get this to boot back up normally?
If you go to the wiki it tells you how to do a rom upgrade off an SD card. I would try that route and re flash a ROM and radio that you know works, then take it from there.
Is all in the wiki.
Good luck.
WB
Can you post a link to that wiki? I couldn't find the one you were referring to. Thanks
I have had the same issue and even though I still have gotten it to somewhat work I'm almost sure something is wrong and I will have to send it in for a warranty repair. Here are the steps I followed using the official 8525 rom download. http://www.mrvanx.org/cms/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=27
After that Windows worked fine but still no radio (no gsm error). I downloaded the new radio only file off of the forums which didn't seem to work. I took my phone into the att wireless store and the lady reset my sim, somehow the radio started showing up and working.
I literally spent all day on this yesterday and it is hell. If you have any questions let me know I can guide you through it.

Downgraded to RUU Stock ROM issue...

Hi,
I had my G2 rooted ages ago and was using custom ROMS right up until yesterday. I'm due to get a Desire HD in the post today so was resetting phone to give my girlfriend and thought it easier if she had the Stock ROM.
So I put that back on using the official updater, back to 1.5... However I can't update it to Eclair. Whenever it downloads the update and tries to install it I get a black screen with a phone and a triangle with an exclamation mark
I've most definitely updated with the OTA before... could it be because it was once rooted?
Try going to your country's HTC homepage and download the official 2.1 RUU from there.
If it isn't there, maybe you can find it here http://www.shipped-roms.com/shipped/Hero/
That is where I found my Hong Kong ruu.
Then, also install HTC Sync to make sure your computer will recognize your phone.
Then run the RUU with your phone connected to your computer via USB.
I recently did this and it worked perfectly.
Good luck.

I can't seem to find the 2.1 files... There's an option for HTC Sync 2 if you've already got Eclair...
I have found Stock 2.1 ROM on here which could be of use but now I can't seem to install the recovery image so I can install them...
Well I have managed to root it once again as nothing else seemed to work... I then tried to use ROM Manager to install a Custom Recovery like I did before but all I get once it has flashed is the exclamation mark...
I recall last time I used this I ended up using an alternative one it offers at the bottom (RA 1.7?) but this hasn't improved the situation either...
Any thoughts?

[Q] Please help with radio problem

let me start off by saying i'm not a noob, maybe a semi-noob
my phone is def hard SPL
i know for a fact that my phone has a radio problem
i can successfully flash roms, not official ones
if i try and flash a stock one, it will flash the rom and when it starts on the radio, it fails
i also tried a complete rom like laurentius, it flashes then it will fail during the radio update
custom roms that do not include a radio update will successfully flash
i've tried both methods, micro usb and active sync
no luck.... laurentius fails at 15%. official roms fail at 8% or just stall and i get error 290...
i did a lot of researching and 2 other people here have had the same problem.
one ended up selling his... and i don't think the other has found a solution
read something about gold card? no clue what that is
please help!
thanks in advance

Need ROM for HTC Desire 626s (T-Mobile)

So, to start, I rooted my phone, unlocked the bootloader, and flashed TWRP for the recovery.
I did all of this so that I could prepare it for CyanogenMod. I made the mistake of not backing up my data (I seriously, seriously regret this decision now) and wiped my phone so that I could install Cyanogen, only to find out that there is no Cyanogen build available at this time for my phone model. I've looked all over google and bing and couldn't find one.
So I tried to find a stock rom to install. Screw it, I can debloat it myself if it's rooted, right? Nope. No stock roms. Sorry. Tried the RUU, and the one for my carrier says it's not the correct one, the metroPCS one stops halfway through the flashing process before it decides to tell me the same thing, and I didn't try the sprint RUU. This is driving me up the wall and all I want is a single flashable rom to work with so that I have some kind of functioning phone again.
Any help is appreciated.
Update: This thread helped me restore my phone to factory state, and I was able to re-reoot from there.

Please HELP my phone is "bricked" inoperable

Hi guys I really need help at this point,
I have an AT&T HTC One M8 originally I was on Skydragon rom rooted till I found out MM was finally available. I then relocked my phone and flashed original firmware to get back to origianal. I tried The OTA at that time but no luck. So I downloaded the MM ruu file from HTC.com and still no luck. I tried like 5 times and it would get stuck step 2 of 2 sending rom to phone... After a few times and calling htc still no luck. The rep said it would be ok to just disconnect and everything was fine I guess. Today I came across a thread here on xda in which a member mentioned flashing the MM firmware first then try the ruu again. The firmware updated but the ruu is still not working. Still stuck on step 2 of 2 sending rom to phone for almost 3 hours now... The biggest problem now is unlike the last times when I tried disconnecting this time my phone would not start. it just gets stuck on white HTC logo screen and that's it... so frustrating... so now I am without phone - please help!
it allowed me to try to run the ruu again but still stuck at the same spot and still wont startup.
someone anyone please help!
side not everyone mentioned memory possibly being the issue - well I checked and I have 21 gb of internal memory:crying: available so...
last thing: I also tried flashing back to stock ruu and now it wont let me after flashing the firmware so i have no idea what to do now.

Still stuck on step 2 of 2 sending rom to phone for almost 3 hours now... There is a connectivity issue, probably due to PC configuration. Win7 and USB2.0 have the best compatibility. If Win10, you can try to run the RUU in Win7 compatibility mode, and see if that helps. Try another USB port, try another cable. You may have to resort to another PC, if you have access to one.
side not everyone mentioned memory possibly being the issue - well I checked and I have 21 gb of internal memory:crying: available so... The free storage issue (need 14 GB free, maybe more) only applies to the OTA, from what I've seen. It doesn't apply to the RUU.
last thing: I also tried flashing back to stock ruu and now it wont let me after flashing the firmware so i have no idea what to do now. "Stock firmware" meaning what (exact filename)? I assume you mean Lollipop (LP) RUU as "stock" means different things to different folks - so you need to be specific. Once you've flashed the MM firmware, you can't run the LP RUU, unless you find and flash the LP firmware first. The firmware needs to match the RUU, in other words (thanks to some new requirement HTC added with the MM RUU). But seeing as the goal it to RUU to MM, I'd not mess with going backwards at this point, and focus on getting the MM RUU to work.

You really need to stop posting "no luck" without giving any details. I advised you on that earlier, and I don't like repeating myself. What does that mean "no luck"? Please give as much detail as possible. You didn't specify whether the firmware actually installed or not. How far did the firmware install get? What was the output on the screen? Any error messages? Did you flash the firmware twice (which is usually required)?
Its clear you have some general connectivity issue. Until you solve it, you can run RUUs forever, and they will still fail.
Did you try a different cable (as I previously advised)? Is the phone in fastboot mode when you try to RUU? Any response to command: fastboot devices

ok I apologize. The mm firmware did install correctly as far as I can tell. Then tied the mm ruu again but still hung at step 2/2 sending rom image. Only difference hat time s when I tried to disconnect I was stuck on white htc screen. I also tried new cable. and yes I did mostly everything in fastbot mode. fastboot seems to be working ok.
Could you boot a TWRP recovery img from fastboot and then use it to restore a NANDroid backup? This assumes you're still having problems.
